I came to Fluffy Fluffy on a Thursday morning around 10:30am to meet a friend. This is located in what looks to be a new or at least updated center with lots of shopping and food spots. Very cute area. There was plenty of parking when I arrived but by the time I left it had gotten pretty packed. When we walked in to Fluffy Fluffy, I saw the self ordering kiosk. As I was placing my order, the woman at the counter said we could also place our orders with her. She was very nice. We placed our orders and sat down. There aren't a ton of places to sit, but we were able to find a table with comfy chairs. Our orders were brought out and looked amazing. The only thing I had any issue with is the plates would not stay still on the tables. I think maybe they need to invest in heavier plates that don't spin around on the table because it made the food a little difficult to cut and eat. Other than that, it was a good experience. I had the tiramisu pancakes and iced fluffy fluffy coffee. Both were delicious and I would love to return and try other flavors of the pancakes and coffee. read more

We visited during the grand opening weekend, and it was very crowded. It took about four hours just to place our order, followed by another 30 minutes to receive our food. It seemed like online and in-store orders were being handled at the same time, which likely contributed to the backlog, understandable for opening weekend, so not a huge knock. The space itself is quite small. After ordering, customers are directed to wait near the bathrooms or outside, but there's no microphone or system to call orders outside. Luckily we were able to grab the last seats to wait but we found others repeatedly coming back in to check if their order was ready. When we finally received our pancakes, they had a slightly eggy flavor, which was disappointing given the long wait. They also felt a bit pricey for the portion size. My experience was not positive. Our group of six lacked guidance on seating, and the service was disappointing. Although the food was good, the overall service was lacking. I politely recommended/ suggested increasing seating options for customers, but this was a major oversight on their part. If you decide to wait outside in the heat for your food, you might have to eat on the turf or find a seat elsewhere. The manager or owner basically told us we'd have to ask another business for seating if we wanted our food served, and their attitude was dismissive. Good food, poor service. Fluffy Fluffy Cafe during Grand Opening Week, my stars are for the taste of the food, 4/5. I found out about this spot searching up Japanese Soufflé Pancakes and they delivered! We went on Valentine's Day, showed up at 10am and there was already a line out the door! I overheard many customers saw it off of TikTok, and this place went viral! The line was getting longer and longer as breakfast went to brunch. My husband and I didn't plan on anything afterwards, which was a good thing because we got our food in 25 minutes, and the customers after us were waiting an hour to two hours. Since we showed up around that time, we put in our orders for food and drinks on the tablet. The front worker was managing the coffee orders, and preparing the food as it was coming out the kitchen. They tried to pause ordering for a while but it just made the line get longer and longer. Limited seating inside, the place is not so big so people are standing in front of your table. There's like 7 tables, and it's first order then sit down, or wait if you order ToGo. We ordered for our drinks: Matcha Espresso cold (you can order hot), and Fluffy Fluffy Latte cold, (you can make order hot). We also ordered (hot) Fluffy Fluffy before we left as an online order, and the salted caramel espresso (hot)-both were also delicious, but I think I prefer the Fluffy Fluffy Cold. Both drinks were delicious, we got it first before the food, we ordered: Matcha Tiramisu Pancakes 10/10 Nutella Banana 10/10 Tiramisu Sweet Croffle 8/10 (I've tried Dessert Cafe in Concord, and that is 10/10) Croffle was hard to cut with my plastic utensils- the dessert cafe would be easy to cut but still crispy. Honestly, I have to give this place another try but eat it there, not to-go. By the time I got home the pancake was a little dry. Seating is limited, and you order at the front on an iPad. I low-key wish there was also a person taking orders because when there's a long line behind you, it feels like you're on a game show trying to pick your breakfast in 30 seconds. Now the pancakes: yes, they are fluffy. Very fluffy. They did taste pretty eggy to me (first time trying Japanese pancakes, so maybe that's normal), but texture-wise they were soft and airy. Just don't go starving. The portions are small ,like "this is a dessert" small ,not "this is my full breakfast" small. I got the regular two pancakes and they were okay, just not $17 worth ,okay ! in my opinion... My fiancé got the breakfast platter (small salad, two pieces of bacon, eggs, and half a pancake). We also got two strawberry lemonades. Total came out to $57. For the portion sizes, that felt... bold. The lemonades were fine, but tasted more like flavored Sprite. The wait for food was also pretty long, and tables weren't being cleared quickly. If someone left their dishes, you basically had to bring them up yourself and wipe down the table before sitting. Overall, it's cute for a sweet treat stop and to say you tried it. But if you're going in expecting a filling breakfast for the price, you might leave still thinking about food on the way home. I have been to this location multiple times without issue. This time we received our food not at the same time. When second order came out the cakes were ice cold. I tested it to make sure was the cakes and it was. I politely informed them that I could not eat like that and asked them to remake. They refused and were rude. It was not the sauce. The cake was undercooked soggy and ICE cold. Even my child could not believe the staff was so rude. I never send my food back at any restaurant, so this was a first. I was excited to try this spot with some friends and overall, the food definitely did not disappoint. I got the matcha tiramisu pancakes and the yuzu chicken nuggets and both were great! However, while we understood the wait was long (we were lined up to the door) we waited nearly TWO HOURS for our food once we ordered, which is insane. I feel like they need to find a better, streamlined process if the pancakes take 15 minutes per batch. It seemed like they were only doing one at a time at that rate. They paused orders for a few minutes multiple times and the numbers were confusing as drinks were coming out right away, but food was not. I got a cheesecake to go, which was from the front case, so it seemed weird that did not come out right away. It was also only 3 bites or so for $6, which didn't seem worth it. Such a great addition to Davis' brunch locations! The pancakes were great and truly reminded me of the fluffy pancake restaurants in Japan. The flavor options all seemed delicious and it was hard to choose! I would definitely recommend ordering some of the sides or the all day breakfast alongside the pancakes to balance out the sweetness, as it is definitely more of a dessert than a meal. My main complaint would be the lack of seating, with only around 5 indoor seats and no outdoor area directly available. I would also highly recommended arriving early, as the line grows quickly. We arrive at around 9:50am to be second in line and by the time they opened at 10:00, there were about 8 groups behind us. I would definitely give 5 stars in the future if they eventually expand their seating outdoors and/or opened earlier in the day, as it would be a great breakfast option. My complaint is that I ordered the eggs Benedict when I receive them the first thing when I cut open the egg to see the runs of the egg. It really was not on top of that which made the whole experience bad was that the egg Benedict was very very cold. I asked one of my friends to taste it. They themselves said it was cold. I went to talk to the lady who served me the eggs Benedict, I told her what the feeling was with my eggs being extremely cold. She just looked at me and said OK I stare at her for a little bit thinking that she would say something else, but she did not. I was very disappointed that she did not satisfy a customer who spent that much money in that restaurant in DAVIS California. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Fluffy Fluffy. This place is incredibly overhyped, and unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations at all. We waited nearly three hours for just two stacks of pancakes. I understand that new and popular places can have long wait times, but three hours for such a small order is unreasonable. When we finally received our food, the pancakes were clearly raw in the middle. I took a bite and immediately noticed the texture was undercooked. I even had my sister try a piece to confirm, and she agreed they were raw. We went back to politely ask for a refund or at least an explanation. The pancakes were taken back, but because the restaurant is small, we could clearly hear the staff making comments and laughing about the situation. We were told no refund would be given despite the food being undercooked. Not only was the wait unacceptable, but serving raw food and then handling the situation unprofessionally made it worse. The experience left me feeling sick afterward, and the way we were treated was incredibly disappointing. This place is not worth the hype. First time ever going here and honestly it was a pretty good experience! Tried the Tiramisu croffle, Original Pancakes, and the Fluffy Fluffy Latte, which all came out to $35. The croffle was honestly really delicious (slightly biased because I love anything tiramisu). The pancakes were extremely soft and fluffy however, the portion was very small and there is a pretty strong eggy taste in the pancakes. As for the latte it wasn't exactly to my taste as it wasn't sweet at all but rather super latte flavored which isn't bad if that's what you're looking for! The staff were very nice and overall friendly! Honestly my biggest complaint were the utensils... the plastic plates keep sliding when trying to eat and also the knife and fork are more handle than the knife and fork they're super long for no reason tbh. It came with a salad and now I have to try to recreate their dressing it was so good. I was surprised by the tater tots ( they may well have been listed on the menu I didn't read all the details) I don't associate them with this kind of dish, but they were perfect for wiping up the sauce, and the dipping sauce that came with them was excellent. The tea and coffee presentation was gorgeous and the cups encouraged enjoying and lingering over our drinks. My partner had the chicken and pancakes with jalapeños and was also well pleased.
