Delay in drive time by an hour led to not being able to find a storage unit facility open necessitating a return to San Diego from Long Beach and recontacting to redeliver to Long Beach the following day for an additional $500. Wardrobe boxes at $11/ea were old used U-Haul and other company boxes Notes: There were some misunderstandings on both sides but it was the customer who paid for them. The move took much longer than anticipated with the movers characterizing it as a full service move rather than a load and go. It was somewhere in between. Prior to movers' arrival, kitchen was packed, furniture disassembled, 95% of fragile items bubble wrapped and packed, pictures wrapped. End result, an estimate of 3 hours to load and 1 to offload + 3 hours drive time, became 7-1/2 hours to load, 5 hours drive time + an additional 4 hours drive time and additional $100 gas fee and 1-1/2 hours off load the following day. So, in total an estimate of 7 hours became 19 hours. If I had to guess, I think 13 hours would have been about right. I do think they would do a great job for anyone locally and for someone with good preparation and organization completed. read more

They were quick and efficient, and because they knew we were trying to minimize time/cost, they were very straightforward about what things could be moved without extra padding/wrapping and what things definitely needed it. The price was great but my move didn't start well. One employee overslept so they were late getting to my townhouse. Beyond that, we got on well. I bought them pizza and tipped pretty well, but I was disappointed that some items were left behind that I specifically asked to be moved. I found this out the next day when I went back to clean out the old place. I really liked the guys though and know I could not have done it without them. I just should have not been in the weird position of having no car (I had to ride the train and the train timing was an issue as they are hourly) at the end of the move so that I could have stuck around. So when I move again, I will call them and get a bid and see what we can do better next time! read more
