Extremely disappointed. Made a reservation today for 9 am. Got there exactly at 9 and waited outside for 15 minutes. Staff was inside setting up, late, but never even had the courtesy to let us know they were running late or why. And they most certainly saw a group of 8 or so people standing outside, waiting. Along with an older lady who was disabled, waiting outside in the cold weather. We ended up leaving because they still hadn't opened up. Won't be coming back. read more

Decided to try this place although the rest of my group has been there a few times. Let me preface by saying it was Mother's Day but we got there about 1:30 and the rush was winding down. Definitely a few empty tables. We were starving so after ordering our drinks, we ordered biscuits with sausage gravy as a starter to share and also ordered our meals. The biscuits and gravy took about twenty minutes to come out. Not an issue. It was gone in about two minutes. After another twenty minutes our entrees came out. A banana French toast casserole for my daughter which she seemed to enjoy. Eggs Benedict with crab cakes and creole hollandaise and two sliced ribeye hero's on garlic bread with melted cheese, Jus and French fries. Issues. Heroes weren't on garlic bread, meat was tough and the fries were cold. The poached eggs on the Benedict were medium well. It took us ten minutes to find our waitress to try and rectify the problem. Finally we had to ask another tables waitress for help. They were going to replace the two orders of fries and bring a new order of the eggs Benedict. TWENTY MINUTES LATER the replacements came out. The fries were passably warm. The Benedict had poached eggs on it that were actually cooked more than the first order. Like hard boiled eggs. The crab cakes were burned. Meanwhile we waited an incredibly long time for terrible food. They did take the crab cakes off the Bill but never saw a manager. My guess is he was in the kitchen cooking the poached eggs. Obviously I won't go back. Do not recommend this establishment read more

This place serves the best breakfast you could ask for! The service was excellent and our waitress Alex was awesome. They have a great staff and everyone was so attentive and friendly from the moment we walked in. The place inside is really nicely decorated, and the pig pictures and wall of pig statues is super cute! There are so many delicious things on their menu that it was really difficult for all of us to make a decision. Once we did we all tasted each other's dishes and they were all amazing! There were five of us and we never had to find our waitress, she was always checking on us. Also, the food all came out at the same time and hot and delicious, even when we added extra things to our order. I can't wait to come back and try lunch and dinner here too. read more

Fabulous meal. My friends got a Cuban sandwich and a California club and they said it was excellent. I got the cranberry almond chicken sandwich which was seriously amazing. Very fresh. Unknown to us, we walked in on the place preparing for a paint night. Only a handful of tables for non-painting customers, the restaurant should have closed for a private event. All the servers were otherwise busy with the upcoming event, so service, although pleasant, was painfully slow. My husband enjoyed the chili and I enjoyed the French Onion soup. My husband ordered the chicken cordon bleu, as a dinner, not on the hero. He was assured the Chef would make it properly. When served, the chicken was not breaded, as stated on the menu. My husband said it was the worst he ever had. I had the meatloaf, which was actually pretty good. We sat for quite sometime waiting for someone to notice us for the check. And when it came....$66!!! Honestly I'm surprised at the poor reviews, and hope they get reconciled soon. Everytime my fiancé and I go here we LOVE it, the food is always good, our servers are always so sweet and attentive and it's a nice atmosphere for brunch I will say the one time I ate here for lunch with a friend the food was pretty bad, cheaply made, for a lot of $. The other thing I don't necessarily like is all the picture of cute pigs around while you're eating pork/bacon? Kind of morbid if you ask me. Every single time I've been here, I've waited 45 minutes to an hour for my food after giving my order and the restaurant wasn't even completely full. It's so confusing- I tried giving this place another chance but it's unacceptable to be waiting an hour for a soup and a huevos rancheros in a restaurant that isn't even at its traffic peak. Easy parking and sat at a table immediately. All servers were pleasant and accommodating, although they appeared extremely busy. The burger was a pre made frozen burger, the captain crunch french toast was missing the captain crunch and plated alone. Bloody Mary's were excellent. The restaurant menu looks much better than what the food actually is. The potatoes in the home fries were barely cooked and there were no seasonings on them at all. The baby spinach, scallion and goat cheese omelet with sundried tomatoes was passable even though the scallions were not cooked at all. We also ordered the raspberry stuffed Challah bread French toast, I don't think I have ever gotten such thin pieces of French toast in my life! There was so much raspberry stuffing and so little bread, way too sweet. The service from our waitress was non-existent, never came by to see how the food was or if we wanted anything else, including the coffee refills that every other server was giving their patrons. Also if you use a debit or credit card a 1.4% surcharge is added at the end. I understand if a business needs to do this but it should be posted somewhere, perhaps on the menu where they brag about the free coffee refills. read more

Alexis greeted us warmly, warned of some kitchen lethargy due to volume and the packed house. We said thanks for the communication and we are not in a hurry. Coffee is very very good. The veggie burger (bean) was lovely with avacado slice and pesto sauce. The two pastrami / corned beef special, and the pastrami were HUGE and half of both came home! Breads and rolls all done smartly and well. The red skin with egg potato salad was really well seasoned and flavorful. Really great job. Alexis was wildly attentive and serve was great all around. My mom and I decided finally decided to take a drive to the flying pig cafe for lunch due to how many people recommended it. When we got there two groups of family members were already waiting to be seated but we noticed there was no one around to do that. We saw the staff waiting tables or at the bar but still no one coming to assist us standing at the front. 10 mins later, the first family decides to leave saying this is ridiculous. Then another 10 mins and still nothing...a staff member who was at the bar who saw all of us the whole time waiting finally came over and said someone will be with you all...another 5 mins go by and nothing. Recommended by a friend; we went for lunch on a Saturday and the place wasn't crowded. Our waitress had a rare genuinely sweet demeanor that made for a very pleasant experience. A little girl 3-4 years old seated at a table nearby fell backwards in her chair at one point and all the staff were so sweet to her that she didn't even cry. The fried pickles appetizer was disappointing as it was full spears partially covered in baked batter. One of my son's had the breakfast burger and didn't care for it. There was virtually no wait, ON SUNDAY, but the place was busy. The Bloody Mary's were delicious as were the biscuits and gravy, traditional eggs Benedict and egg plate with sausage. The service was great but we were by the door and it could get cold, but we didn't mind. It was also pretty noisy, if that kinda thing bothers you. I was skeptical bc when I went on Instagram I didn't see Instagram worthy pics. We took a chance bc we were in the area and live 45 minutes out. Let me tell you, the food was definitely worth the drive. They have cute pig decor around idk how they managed to make pigs look classy but they did. Lol the outside is cute and pink. I had the granola crusted frenchtoast with cranberries (forgot the name) SOOO GOOODDD and eggs with cheese and I'm not being dramatic the eggs were cooked to perfection. I started with french onion soup [fantastic] and got the french toast fondue for dinner. Yes - they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day long. The french onion soup comes in two sizes [cup or bowl] and I got the cup. It's plenty if you plan on having an actual meal after that and it's so so so good. The french toast fondue?? Gimme more. I am such a sucker for fondue and this definitely satisfied that craving I didn't know I had. My dad and his wife got the same sandwich - I think the Reuben? Both absolutely loved it. My dad finished the whole plate, including the perfectly cooked french fries. The service was great. Our waitress was probably the nicest person I've encountered in my life. (We got the flatbread which tasted like a lunable that got heated up in the microwave.) I've heard a lot about flying pig cafe so naturally wanted to try it out. My breakfast did not disappoint. I had the goat cheese omelet with sundried tomatoes. There was so much goat cheese in it I was so thrilled. Also, the side of turkey bacon was crispy as I asked for and so delicious. Not every restaurant has delicious turkey bacon so I was really happy about that too. I'd definitely like to go back and try something else! read more

I ordered the potato bacon omelette which was delicious but it doesn't hold a candle to their cinnamon bun pancakes. We ordered an extra plate for the table to share and I wish I had them all to myself. They are the perfect amount of sweet and the slight crust they get on the top from the sugar is out of this world!!! This place does not take reservations or call ahead, no matter what they tell you on the phone. If you have a big party, be prepared to wait. They have more availability for couples and groups of 4. My family and I used to come here all the time the food used to be great. I just had breakfast a few minutes and Flying Pig Cafe has lost my business. I was served expired whipped cream. When I confronted the waitress she apologized but didn't offer to comp the meal that I had. I was offered a different meal but after eating something that was bad I had lost my appetite and couldn't eat anything else. Please make sure the food you are serving is fresh especially with the prices you are charging your customers.
