I grew up eating Brazilian steakhouse in Denver for a long time and when Fogo popped up in Denver, I was very excited. I had not gone as soon as I had anticipated and just recently got around to going there. We went for my husband's birthday. I had very high expectations, as it is a bit pricier than the Brazilian spots I usually go to and everyone I know who has eaten there has been raving about how great the food is. The meats were cooked perfectly and flavorful, however there was not a huge variety of meats being offered and the salad bar was a bit of a let down. Fogo offers a great array of cold cuts and salads on their buffet. However, the hot food is minimal and lacking seasoning. They also did not offer glazed pineapple or polenta, both of which I was looking very forward to. We got the tres leches cake over the crème brûlée after asking our server which was better. I was a little disappointed as I found it ate dry and have worked at restaurants in the past that had rich, fluffy, creamy tres leche cake on their menu. A VERY high point I would like to mention is their cocktail menu. My husband ordered the house cocktail and it was delicious. I was designated driver and ordered off their CLEAN cocktail menu. The sour was FANTASTIC. The sour was made to order and I didn't miss the whiskey at all. One small thing, as far as the service, my mom ordered a Diet Coke and was given a plastic bottle with no glass or ice which I found very bizarre. This could've just been an off night for this location. We were sat right as they opened for dinner, so if I do try Fogo again, I will be sure to come for a later reservation, hoping there will be more options offered. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Fogo de Chao this evening. I took my daughter and two of her friends to dinner at the Park Meadows location. We've been to this location once before and to the downtown Denver location many times and it's always been one of our favorite restaurants. But tonight, not so much. The food was just okay, and the service left a lot to be desired. They did not bring our sides until we asked for them. We asked several times about a complimentary birthday dessert and it never arrived. We had to ask four times for pineapple. I just got a general feeling that we were being ignored. It wasn't that busy and there were plenty of servers so I don't know what the problem was. I get a general sense that this place is going downhill which makes me very sad. For the price we paid ($350), I feel ripped off. Bummer. read more

This is the 2nd Fogo I went to in Colorado and it is just horrible service. 1. It's a Brazilian Steak house... where is the meat. I feel that they are a bit racist too. Everyone went around us. We pay to eat out money work of meat and they kept going around us. 2. The selection for the salad bar or appetizer are minimal. We had an amazing experience celebrating my wife's birthday. A couple members of the staff stood out specifically. Our main waiter Conner was very communicative and very attentive. Chiargo (excuse my spelling) the bartender made great drinks, we had to have a second round. And finally Deborah, she built a great display at the market table and was phenomenal when we came to her with a few special requests. Over all our experience today has guaranteed our return. Went back for lunch. The menu did not specify the price of the buffet and our server mentioned the wrong price. No problem just a bit confused with the higher price. So disappointed. Should have read all the reviews as they all have the same Common theme. The waiters rarely stopped by our table to provide meat. Almost 10-15 minutes would go by in between visits. Our drinks took over 20 minutes to get. The waitress' comments were "oh sorry I forgot". I'll stick with Texas De Brazil in the future. read more

The food is amazing. Really. But the seating system is beyond broken. We've been there twice and had reservations both times. We waited past our reservation time more that 45 minutes both times as well. We thought the first time was a fluke. The second time was even worse and we were told we were "next to be seated" more than once and then watched a different group get seated ahead of us. I am a fairly tegular Fogo customer. Denver, Lone Tree and Las Vegas. Food is really good. 4 star food. Service stinks at Lone Tree. Every time. Today was especially bad. 1 server, 1 bartender and 1 gaucho working lunch. 2 managers. I'll give you 3 guesses what the managers were doing. Correct answer: not helping. In fact they were talking and yucking it up and distracting the bartender and server so they could be even less productive. We decided to stop in and see what their brunch was about since we had just found out that they had brunch. We walked up to the hostess and she asked if we had a reservation, we said no. I asked her what all is entailed in the brunch? She asked if it was the 2 of us and when I said yes, about to ask about the brunch again she said follow me and started straight for a table. We glanced at the menu for a bit and show that the brunch is roughly $34 for their salad bar. We didn't want that much food so we got up and asked the bartender if we can sit at the bar instead. She mentioned that the bar menu is different and you cannot get the salad bar while sitting at the bar. A little weird to me. What does it matter where you sit? Either way, we sat down and looked over the bar menu. I got up and handed the hostess the menu she gave us before and she looked irritated. Not my fault you decided to seat us instead of answering my question. The bartender was super nice and helpful. The bar menu had stuff on it that we wanted more anyways so it worked out. We got the BPQ plate which included Brazilian sausage, roasted pork ribs with some limes. It said it came with BBQ sauce, but we never got any. It really wasn't needed as the limes gave the meat a nice flavor. Overall, the experience got better and the food was delicious. read more

Always been a favorite spot, we usually go to the downtown location but thought parking might be easier at the Lone Tree location. It wasn't. Reservation at 5:30pm, was a good start with their delicious cheesy bread and the drink cart making its visit immediately when we sat down. I had the 3oz Malbec which was shown on the menu for $8 but on the bill for $15.. Food was good, salad bar is great to get a little vegetable dose before the meat starts making its rounds and the pineapple is always a treat. The polenta sticks were very difficult to eat, kind of hard and dry, had to just spit the bite I took out and didn't touch the rest of them. The "team" service style was unfortunately disappointing. We spoke to one gentleman when we sat down and he took a drink order that was never brought out and then we had to flag down someone else as no one checked in on us for quite a while and we continued looking for the first server that visited our table. As it was more than half way through our meal, we finally asked another server about our server and he let us know that we were in his "teams" section so not sure they knew who was doing what. We asked him to just remove the manhattan drink that never came out. We asked another waitress if there are ribs available and she said she'd have them come around as we hoped to have them at some point during the near two hours we were there. They finally made rounds after asking a couple times. Felt pretty rough and like we were an inconvenience being there as our chairs kept being bumped into and squeezed around as more chairs began to fill up around 6/6:30. We were ready to go about 6:45 but the service just kept blasting past us in every direction as we tried to flag down someone again and ask for the check at 7:15pm. read more

We've been going to Fogo de Chão for certain special occasions, for probably close to a decade. Aside from being a fun dining experience with the green/red cards, the food is always quite good, especially their house steak, lamb, grilled pineapple, bananas, and those cheese bread appetizers. This most recent time we went however, they made it nearly impossible for us to get our money's worth. The servers would skip by our table multiple times, despite us all having our cards flipped to green, to the point where we had to flag them down or request them to visit our table via our waiter. Meat cutters were unpleasant this time around too - acting offended or bothered if you say "no thank you" to the dish they're bringing. We were guided to leave, with the waiters trying to clear our plates, asking if we wanted dessert or the check, when half our table had only gotten served two or three times. Prior visits, the meat cutter staff were always above and beyond. Maybe we just came on an off-day. We'll surely be back, but are hoping to get better service next time. read more

Something has happened here. I have been a fan but the last TWO times have been terrible. I opted to sit at the bar today in hopes the service would be faster. I was dead wrong. After ordering a simple burger, I waited over 30 minutes before asking about my food. I was told the kitchen normally has 4-5 people and today they only have two. I asked to have my order boxed up since I could not wait another 30 minutes. When the box finally arrived the fries were disgustingly undercooked, almost still frozen and the burger was overcooked as I ordered it rare. Things will have to change or this place will go the way of many other places at Park Meadows. read more

Don't eat at the bar. I inquired about a special I saw online and they said they dont serve it there but didnt offer to help me get a table. Even though the bar menu seems like a great deal, I wasn't told about the salad bar option. There was 4 bartenders and I had to ask for a plate when my appetizer came. I wasn't presented with silverware until after the food came (and the plate) (by a different person) even though I had already been served the complementary bread. I was just using a bar napkin to wipe my hands on. The (medium) burger was dry and crumbly. Polenta fries were bland and just came with plain mayo. I had some limes on the side so I squeezed them in there and it tasted better. I had to ask refills on my water and a to-go box. I wasnt offered a second glass of wine or if I'd like to see the dessert menu, which both I would have liked to order. No one asked how my food was but one guy commented he was jealous because it looked good to him. It really made me feel like a piece of trash to be disregarded like this just because I decided to eat at the bar. I should've left or gotten a table...but I doubt I'll go back now. read more

One of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. Went for Easter dinner with the family. Service from our service was terrible and half the dining room was empty. My husband didn't get his beer until halfway through dinner. Meat was overcooked and lacked in flavor. Dry as hell. Salad bar had been picked over and not replenished. Server was nowhere to be found 3/4 of the time to the point that another server had to bring our check. Also server asked if we wanted water then tried to charge us $8 for bottled water. Felt like a mid Vegas buffet but was still $65 per person. Nope. Never again. read more
