We came here tonight to celebrate a new job. I love Brazilian steakhouses and this was definitely a night in which we were willing to pay a little more to be pampered. I made reservations on Open Table for 7pm and we were seated within minutes of arriving. We started with a trip to the salad bar. There, I loaded my plate with Cesar salad, candied bacon, aged Parmesan and other assorted cheeses. We enjoyed the selection of meats that Fogo has to offer. Our favorite was the house special. The mashed potatoes, cheese rolls and bananas are tempting to fill up on because they are so good. Our waiters were attentive and polite. They offered to clear plates and refill side items often. We definitely felt pampered. Because we were celebrating, we both ordered a dessert. I ordered the molten chocolate cake and the hubby ordered the tres leches cake. Mine was delicious and I ate every last bite. My hubby didn't quite like his as much as he thought. We probably wouldn't get it again. Out of the three Brazilian steakhouses in the area, I prefer Rafain Brazilian Steakhouse off of the Dallas tollway. They have a better variety of meat as well as grilled pineapple, whereas at Fogo, pineapple is an $8 up charge. At Rafain, dessert is also included. Still, this was a great evening and I would recommend it to anyone. Just be ready to spend a little more. read more

Food was mediocre today. Same meat being passed around for a while. A lot of meats were rubbery and fat. I'm not sure why everyone kept coming to serve meat at our table when the label has been staying red. We just wanted to eat our food in peace. Service wasn't great either. He was kinda big and barely had hair. He dropped a chunk of meat on the table and left knowing he did that. Came again, tried to convince me to get the meat he had, I said "no thank you" twice and gives me an attitude then leaves. The true gem here isn't the meat; to be quite frank upfront with you, the meats aren't great. Most everything was so overcooked that I left it alone. I took a pic of the lamb I was served so you could see. That's not how lamb should be cooked. Very few meats were served medium let alone medium rare, which is my preference. In the future, I'll steer clear of the meat and just focus on the delicious salad bar. We dined here today on Christmas. Anyone willing to work on Christmas deserves three stars automatically:) This was our first time dining here, so they explained how it worked and we immediately dove into that salad bar. I was bummed that there was only one soup option; I had been told lobster bisque here is excellent, but today only butternut squash was served. That's not really my jam. But the beautiful gourmet salads like apple raisin and quinoa basil and even potato salad were all outstanding. The brown sugar bacon was addictive and there's so much beautiful cheese! Fresh mozzarella two ways, baby Swiss, Parmesan wedges; truly beautiful. Service was great; they work as a team here so no one person waited on us; instead there was a team of no less than three waiting on us, refilling glasses and taking dirty plates. So what keeps this from being five star? Well, this is a STEAKHOUSE, and the weakest link for us carnivores today was meat. Most of it was overcooked, and I get its served that way for a reason, but at 50 a head, I'd like more options and meat cooked the way I like it. Today I actually wished for A1 or something because the meat was that dry. That's not cool. Some more soups and some pescaterian options would be cool for those who aren't into beef, chicken, lamb and pork. Service will keep you coming back here though. Good food and service. The ambience is darker and more intimate. Out of the sides from salad bar, the butternut squash bisque was amazing. The candied bacon was also another one of our favorites. My cousin liked the chicken salad and I liked the apple fruit salad. From the meats: my favorite was the short ribs and the sirloin. They were soo good. The lamb shank was nice and juicy too. Too bad I missed the sausage, my brother said it was good, but the guy never came back. We ordered the tres leches cake and molten lava cakes for dessert. Both were soo delicious. Even on a busy Friday evening, the staff was attentive and constantly on top of things. This is a great place. I have to compare it to Texas de Brazil because it is same set up. TDB used to be my fave. I still love their salad bar but the meat was all but raw last time so....we took the drive to Dallas to eat here. I'll admit this is a nicer place. Table cloths (unlike tdb who decides they didn't need this touch anymore) heavy silver ware. Wait staff who is very attentive and management who actually checks on patrons. Salad bar area is LACKING. This is where they lose the star. It's no where close to TDB. No blue cheese dressing (??!) Mostly premise type salads. No croutons not many condiments for an actual salad. 3 dressings. Ranch Caesar and vinaigrette. Missing are merlot mushrooms and scalloped potatoes and good bisque. They offered a soup. Split pea and asparagus which was, let me out this nicely. Gross. Looked like baby puke. The one big saving grace is THE BACON. Ok. They excel at the bacon. Peppery spicy and sweet bacon. No explanation for how incredibly awesome the bacon was. Did i mention BACON? Now for the real star. The meat. Ok blend the seasonings and searing with the cooking temp of TDB and it would be perfect. I wasn't very impressed for the price of the meat. I had one tasteless tiny filet nugget that ended up being medium well. No seasoning to sear. A bit odd. The pichania was undercooked and they never brought me a medium rare piece like they said they would. The garlic sirloin was tasty but medium well. The star of the meats was their version of flank steak. Seasoned perfectly and a perfect med to med rare. The sides were ok. Mashed potatoes and bananas. Fried plantains that reminded me of fried sweet potatoes but firmer. The cheesy rolls were very good. I give this more a 3.5 as it's pricey. $50 for the meal. If you want a soda you pay for refills. So by the time we shared a dessert and paid for tea and 2 sodas with tip we're talking $150 for 2 with no booze. Pricey. Yup. Cream brûlée was very good. Service 4.5 Ambience 4 Food 3 (barely) salad bar really not that good. Price for quality 3 We will be back but only to use special half off coupons and only at lunch. Exceeded our expectations, we come here often 3-4 times a year. This last trip was fantastic. Seems like the quality has improved with larger crowds and the food just seems better. Which is hard to comprehend considering the quality of food here has always been top notch. One improvement is the Lobster Bisque.... The last few times I had noticed the flavor was off, sort of a fishy bitter flavor. Came here to celebrate my anniversary with my wife. The Five stars go for the food, drinks and the meat guys. One star for our server. She took our drinks order and that was all. Never again did we see here again. I had to ask another server to get us more water because we ran out. I looked over to the side and our original server was helping another table. Im guessing because we didn't order wine she really didn't come back. I don't like to note Tate how long the server come and how frequently but I noticed that she went to the other table at least 5 time within a 10 min period. Again I had to ask another server to get us our bill. My favorite meat was the parmesan cheese pork. Also the bacon wrapped chicken. The food was super amazing so fresh and flavorful. The tabule salad was to dye for. I ate that salad at least 4 times. Definitely a five star for the food. We had a cream Brulé for dessert. Always a great restaurant for any special occasion or just lunch! They have a lunch special and the option for just salad bar which is $15.00 during lunch times (not including holidays). All the employees here are very kind and polite so don't hesitate to ask for any beef ribs if you don't see it. Their friend banana, cheese bread, and mash potatoes never disappoints which is a very important factor in a Brazilian steakhouse. Definitely will be returning here! read more

Had an awful experience here last Friday. Started off dealing with ridiculous traffic through the shops at legacy to be on time to our 7:30P reservation. When our party arrived they weren't ready to seat us until 8:00P, they had us wait 30 minutes when we were on time for our reservation which is unbelievable. We were a party of seven and we were seated at this tiny circular table, and we could hardly fit our drinks and sides, and when the meats would come around the servers had trouble working around the plates so we were always shifting and moving. Once we were seated we were met with the worst service I've had at a steakhouse, we saw our server three times during the hour and a half we were there. We were begging the people bringing the meats around to find our server or to put in drink orders, bring more sides, and refill our waters. We also asked our server if the bar could make an amaretto sour, he immediately told us "no, the only drinks we have are the drinks are on the drink menu." We then asked another server if they could make this simple drink, and they were kind enough to actually go ask the bar and they COULD make the drink. Other workers were so much more helpful than our actual server we eventually decided to just tip the other workers than the one for our table. The meats themselves were fine, not as good as usual or at other locations. The meats also rarely came out, we actually filled up more on bread and sides than the actual meat experience we came for. At other fogo locations we are usually swarmed with the different meats and feel pampered. At this location I think for the hour and half to two hours we were there we had around 8 servers come by with meats. Don't deal with the legacy traffic to go to this sub-par fogo de Chão location. You'll be paying $60 or more in order to fill up on bread, never get your drinks filled, and always be burdened with asking for these basic things rather than having a dedicated server that knows how to do these things. read more

We drove an hour for our 6:30 reservation on 2/12/22 and arrived 10 minutes early. When we opened the door, I'm surprised no one fell out, that's how crowded it was. Had trouble making it to the counter to check in with the wall to wall bodies stacked inside. Finally forged our way through the can of sardines and checked in. "We'll call you when your table is ready" is all she said. It didn't look promising so I asked "how long will that be?" Her response with a giggle "about 45 minutes; we're running a little behind. " There was no way they would be able to get through all the people in the dining room and all those blocking the door to seat us in 45 minutes. That was at least 2 hours and we made a reservation. They should've not double or triple booked the evening and turned some people away rather than blocking the exit like that. I should've called the fire marshal. Fogo de Chao, Addison, TX aside from wasting our time with a drive, you need to put the safety of customers before money. read more
