I have a wonderful memory of eating here maybe 10 years ago, but this experience was nothing like that. Granted, it was Mother's Day when I visited and very busy. They did not pull off the feel of upscale or intimate. One of the employees was at the salad bar and loading additional cheeses and I asked her if she would mind if I grabbed a few pieces. I had to ask because she showed no social cues that I was there. She then asked if I would mind leaving so she could go home. She was joking, but that's not why I pay that kind of money for a place like that. The meats were pretty salty. The only red meat that I really thought was great was the filet mignon. Our table service was very good. The drinks were good. It just didn't have the overall experience that I expected or wanted on that night or for that experience or value. If there weren't other similar reviews I might give them a chance on a quieter night. But there are...too bad, I was hoping for a place to return for other special occasions. We have eaten at several Fogo locations in the metro and always liked it. Stepping in THIS location, you are greeted with the stench of dank mildewy carpet. I'm Home now, but my clothes still reek of it. The salad bar was an embarrassment, with wet soggy meats that had turned brown and limp veggies. The meats were way too salty and overcooked. We waited 20 minutes for filet and it came out practically raw. The lambchops were the only thing worth eating. The service was adequate but the overall experience was a zero. and we paid $400. What an absolute disappointment. read more

This was, hands down, one of the worst eating experiences I've had in a while, if not ever. We had a reservation for 7 people the week prior to Christmas. No issue getting our reservation honored and seated. Once at the table, chaos ensued. Apparently *this* location doesn't have server specific tables, and you are to ask anyone to order, get refills, etc. We had one server come over to get our drink orders, and he got half of them and never came back to the table on his own. At no point did anyone ask what we wanted to eat, since some of us did not want the bottomless Brazilian steakhouse option. I tracked down our original server, to order my entree, and he did not attempt to ask if anyone else was interested in ordering from the menu and took off before anyone could say anything. Once two other people placed orders with a different server, one of the other entrees was brought out. Nobody ever brought the other guests entree. We were there til closing, nearly 3 hours, after constantly having to walk around and find service on our own. Asking for the check and having it take 30 minutes... Don't bother talking to the manager, he doesn't care. It was horrible and I'll never be back. read more

First time here and I was very excited. We were able to visit thanks to a yelp event! Parking was easy to get on a weekday. The wait was not that long as they had already set up a spot for yelp members. Our first stop was at the market table (salad bar)! There was ALOT to choose from and I wanted to try to fit them all on 1 plate. From salami to salmon to sweet bacon. All was good and some had a vinegary taste. My favorite was the salmon on top of a bed of spinach. The meat arrived and each server had brought a different kind of meat. He would slice the meat off for you but you have to grab your Tongs! Each meat was tender and medium rare (upon request). There was lamb, bacon wrapped chicken, pork, steak, ribs, a lot of choices. The chicken was my least favorite as it was dry and hard to chew. My favorite was the lamb! It was cooked perfectly. Next the desert: we had key lime and chocolate cake! Both were delicious!!! I would definitely come back for that! read more

Some friends and I recently dined here with a FB coupon one happened to stumble upon and buy was the food outstanding. Literally all you can eat, from meat and chicken, to veggies and soup, bread and all sorts of cheese...amazing salad bar. Waiter service was great, felt rushed a bit when the young men with the skewers would offer something, but overall a great experience. As part of onboarding with my new company, my new boss flew down from Kansas City along with two local co-workers decided tp take me to lunch here at Fogo de Chão Brazillian Steakhouse in Addison. I had been to Texas de Brazil in the past, but it was so long ago, I don't even think Yelp was around back then. So this place reminded me of that place of course. I am sure you've read reviews on how things work here. If you get the all you can eat deal, then you aren't limited to all the meat you can eat, but there's a trick to it all. As my new boss and new co-workers stated, hold off till the good meats come around, like the filet mignon and other cuts of meat like that or you will get full on the cheap meats that they bring out first. So yeah, I noticed that right off the bat the cheaper meats came out first, and then the good cuts came out. All the meats I did try were good, but the filet mignon was the one that stood out. **TIP** Don't get over anxious when the meats come out, wait till the good cuts of meat come out, you won't regret it. read more

Wow. I'd never eaten at a Brazilian steakhouse before, but I'm still trying to recover from the food coma induced. Last night I came with my parents for my dad's company holiday party and we were all huge fans. I didn't do much research beforehand, so I really wasn't prepared for the sheer amount of delicious food served here. I understand the high price tag given the quality of even the "throwaway" dishes: the cheesy bread, the salad bar, the mashed potato, yucca and plantain sides, the cocktail shrimp. I especially enjoyed the candied bacon at the salad bar and the imported salami. But oh man, the meat. I'm pretty sure I said yes to every type of sirloin and then they still kept coming. The filet mignon was juicy and tender. I enjoy my steaks medium rare and every cut was cooked to perfection. We left with $25 gift cards for future visits, so I'll definitely be coming back. Next time I'll just have to remember to not eat anything for the rest of the day to prepare myself for the feast! Service was excellent and our server was very attentive with drinks. This was an easy five star. This is my first time at Fogo de Chão in Texas. I've been in DC before and I was not so pleased. However, my experience here was amazing! It was a yelp elite event. For drinks I had the caipirinha and they seemed to get stronger as the night progressed. As always with Brazilian steak houses, I was overwhelmed with the meat selection. Lol. I tried the lamb, filet mignon and top sirloin. Everything was so tasty and hot. The sides were pretty good as well, I had the potato salad, chicken salad and rice. I particularly really enjoyed the chicken salad. I was impressed with the service and our waiter was very attentive to the needs of my table. I will definitely be returning here. read more

Wanted to try the addison location as my neighbor and I thought the legacy west food and service was average last time we went for dinner. This location was no different. We went on Monday evening. We were promptly seated, but it took them few mins to serve us the food. They keep bringing the top sirloin back and our requests for lamb and chicken took quiet sometime. It had been 5 years since visiting Fogo de Chao in Addison, so when the thought of celebrating 3 birthdays came up, I suggested Fogo because of my past, excellent experience with the restaurant. I was a little concerned because of COVID as this place used to be rocking with people, shoulder to shoulder, in the bar area waiting for tables. But, I figured they had made the necessary accommodations to keep that from happening, so we booked the reservation for 7 on Saturday night. My first surprise was that the bar area was still shoulder-to-shoulder with people. No social distancing whatsoever, with a few folks not even wearing masks. Our reservation was for 7:30 and we were seated about 7:45 which is normal for a busy, popular restaurant. Our seating was actually a very good location, away from the center of the restaurant so I was pleased with that. Our waitress was very nice and welcomed us to the restaurant and explained the rules (COVID) very clearly. The salad bar at Fogo was always a highlight for my family in the past and this time was no different. Excellent selection on this salad bar. A full meal could be had at this stop alone. So the night was well on the way to being a success. After clearing the salad plates was when things got very disappointing. In the past once salad was removed, our table would literally be swarming with Gauchos filling up your plate with the premium cuts of meat. Not so on this trip. We waited about 10 minutes for the first Gaucho to arrive with Garlic Beef. One small piece on each plate and another 5-10 minute wait for another Gaucho and it was chicken legs and sausage. So we are 20 minutes into our meal and absolutely no sirloin, filet, or rib eye had been served to our table. But multiple servings of garlic potatoes, bananas and bread. By now I could see the game being played and I was very upset. I excused myself from the table as to not make a scene in front of family/friends and found the manager to tell him how disappointed I was so far with our experience and that if it didn't turn around quickly, that we were going to have an issue with what I knew would be a sizable bill at the end. To his credit, after my direct confrontation, our evening began to resemble what I remembered about the service at Fogo-de-Chao. The premium cuts were brought out multiple times and everyone had their fill of quality steak. I applaud the manager's willingness to listen and correct the situation for my party!! In conclusion the night turned out to be a success and we were all happy with the food, wine and desert. But, it should not have taken my blunt confrontation to get the expected level of service. It will be a long time again before I book another trip to this steak house. For the money spent ($100 per person after tip) I can't help but think a traditional steak house would be the way to go for me next time. read more

This is my millionth time here and they never disappoint! Food was exquisite and service was impeccable! Pro tips: Be careful not to fill up on the salad bar! It deceptively easy to do. Pace yourself. There is only so much meat you can eat. Ask for the cuts you want. It is a business and they are it to turn a nice profit. So yeah, there are plenty of cheap cuts. But all you have to do is request the lamb, filet mIgnon! They will gladly oblige. In fact, we were finishing our lunch today and wanted one more piece of filet mIgnon. They prepared a new one for us because they were out of what they had made for lunch! Try the limeade. Or better yet, their house wine. Did you even know they had a house wine? Food was mediocre today. Same meat being passed around for a while. A lot of meats were rubbery and fat. I'm not sure why everyone kept coming to serve meat at our table when the label has been staying red. We just wanted to eat our food in peace. Service wasn't great either. He was kinda big and barely had hair. He dropped a chunk of meat on the table and left knowing he did that. Came again, tried to convince me to get the meat he had, I said "no thank you" twice and gives me an attitude then leaves. If you have never dined Churrasco style before, Fago de Chao is the spot INHO. Many other establishments have attempted to recreate the quality, variety, and service of Fago; however, have failed in comparison. Meat meat meat!!! Come hungry, eat slowly, avoid the salad bar (aka The Market Table), skip the rolls and sides (garlic mash pots & caramelized bananas) delivered to your table...and eat like a man dang it! Warning: You might very well suffer the three day post-food-coma like I did after my most recent visit, but it's worth doing...at least once. Having been to this original (first ever Fago in the U.S.) a few times before, I had never allowed myself such indulgence. But sometimes, you just have to say "screw it!" Like when you have a great hand in Texas Hold'em, I was "all in." As soon as you're seated and order your drinks (again, go with something light, skip the brew), you are invited to the self-service salad bar. Look, but don't touch! Soup station, several cheese selections, some veg, sliced sausage and cured meats, olives, etc...ironically very little "salad." If you're feeling the lighter side you can forgo roasted meats and purchase Market only dinner, but then why not just go to Jason's Deli or the like? Sincerely. The Art of Churrasco is truly a thing of beauty for carnivores - assorted meats on long skewers slow-roasted on a rotating wood fire flame. The Gaucho Chefs swarm the dining room offering slices of all of their goods (place coaster green side up for "more please" or red side up for "no thanks," but it doesn't really seem to matter...they just keep coming). The trick is to be certain to sample ALL meats (even if just a small bite of each); not just the least expensive Sirloin cut that seems to appear more than other selections. Remember, it's all about the meat - and the experience: Sirloin Tenderloin Rib eye Beef ribs - do NOT miss on these heavenly hunks Pork sausage Parm cheese crusted pork loin - a goody for sure Luscious lamb chops White wine infused pork ribs & Beer marinated chicken legs - yeah, go ahead. After having a terrible Brazilian BBQ experience at Blaze, we decided to get lunch here the next day. Impeccable service. Meats came out one at a time. They checked on us, kept up with refills, cleaning the table, and kept everything on the table filled. The Pão de Queijo was one of the best I've had.
