Fogo is a great place to have great quality meats and sides for a reasonable price. I have dined with them countless times over the years, only the Addison location, though. They have an AWESOME salad bar, that has cold meats and cheeses as well. If you are forgoing the hot meat at the table, the salad bar alone is cheaper than the full meat experience. There is a great selection of fresh veggies, cold pastas and even some hot soups. Once seated and you flip over your indicator stating you are ready for the meat, you will have guys coming up on either side with all different kinds of meats to choose from. My favorites always being their medium rare steaks. They also have chicken, pork, lamb and ribs. You can also ask for sides of horseradish, chimichurri and currant jelly for the array of meats you choose from. Horseradish and medium rare steak, yes please!! They will also bring mashed potatoes, sugared bananas and little cheese filled pop-over type bread for the table. But don't fill up on that, you are paying $50 + tax for the meat!! Speaking of, they also send around $25 off coupons every now and then, which is such a good deal. Now...my only complaint about Fogo is the dress code!! It bothers me to my core. They don't enforce one, so while you are dinning in for a nice meal, and if you have a few glasses of wine, anywhere up to a $100 tab for one person, you don't want to look up and see someone in jean shorts and flip flops helping themselves to the soup of the day. Last time I was in there, there was teenage girl with a large over-sized t-shirt, to where you couldn't see her shorts (if she was wearing any) and flip flops. HUGE NO. I went at 7:30pm on a Sunday night and was sat on the side with a few occupied tables. Everyone there was finishing up, so I wasn't sure why they sat us there. I get that it was close to closing time, but I felt a little neglected on our side. The people holding the meats would barely come over to our side even though we had our little circles on green. The guys that did come over would have the same meats, so I didn't get to try all the meats. It seems like they would just look at us and then turn away. This was probably the second time that this has happened. We had to tell our waitress to tell them to come over. If it wasn't for our server, I would've rated my experience lower. She was amazing and attentive, so I'm glad she ended up taking care of us. We ended up finishing before closing anyways, since it seems like they just stop coming by with new meats. read more

We came for dinner on New Year's and I know this review is a few months late but I had to write it because we had such a great experience. We had a late reservation for 5 adults and my young nephew. He was a little cranky but our server Antonio did something I have never seen a waiter do at a busy restaurant. He got right down to his level, talked to him in a calm manner and asked him if he wanted French fries or chicken tenders. We were all amazed and my nephew calmed down immediately. When most servers have ignored or left the adults at the table to quiet a screaming, crying toddler he really took the time to get down to his eye level and talk to him- it was a great way to start a delicious dinner and the food was stellar. The meats were tender and flavorful and the salad bar was ah-mazing too. So much variety to choose from! We always celebrate Valentines Day at Fogo but this will be our last visit. The service was horrible. Our server introduced herself, brought us waters and then only other time she stopped by the table we asked for clean plates and she basically threw them on the table and then walked away. She was constantly stopping at the tables around us but never stopped at ours even when I attempted to make eye contact. We eventually were able to speak with one of the managers but by that point we were over our experience and ready to go. read more

My husband and I tried out the belt line location on a Saturday at 630. Made reservations so sat right away and began our experience. Our server or servers were all great and fast! We had the table side experience of fresh meat and must I say I was so impressed excited and could t believe all you get for a low price! Food was hot fresh and delicious! I asked for a specific steak carving of ribeye and they quickly grabbed some and carved it on my plate! Everything was really great food no complaints from me except I was so darn full and my husband didn't want to drive all the wAy back to ft worth. I flew in from California and my friend from Texas was hyping this place up, especially since this is the first U.S. location of Fogo de Chao. However, on the night that I went here with a party of four, I was very disappointed. While I do like that the staff followed COVID protocols effectively, the service was not worth the price. Each party member paid around $71.00 for the meal for a total of around $280.00 but the meat that was offered to us consisted mainly of chicken, lamb, and other cuts of meat that Fogo de Chao is not known for. One server came by our table with chicken at least four times, even though we did not take a single piece. Conversely, we were only offered cuts of beef such as flank steak, filet mignon, and picanha once that entire night. We were there for about an hour and a half, but we only got offered beef once. I don't know if we should have said something to our waiters, but I felt like having AYCE beef from Fogo de Chao was a given. Things may be different for others, but I personally did not have a good experience in this establishment. read more

Sometimes restaurants with great cuisine and service lose their edge. Either the food isn't the high quality or the servers aren't attentive. That's not a problem here. Fogo de Chao remains on the top of their game. In fact, the Sunday lunch lamb, for example, was extraordinarily tender and tasty. Why so good? A manager told me they buy premium lamb from New Zealand. As good as I enjoyed when I was in Aukland. All the other dishes were excellent. Plus their "market table" includes new and exciting fruits and vegetables. In addition to the fresh pineapple and papaya. The bacon is remarkably tasty, although a bit spicy. And their desserts are better than ever -- especially if you like chocolate. Their wait staff is among the most attentive and gracious. I have been here about 3-4 times at this exact location and absolutely enjoy my experience each time. I have only been to Fogo De Chao for Sunday Brunches. The staff have been pleasant each visit. They honor your reservations, which is a plus! I have had many instances where I make reservations and the restaurant is not ready or overwhelmed and completely disregard the reservations in place THEN i find myself waiting (annoying). I have not had any negative experiences with the waiters they are always attentive and check on our table in a timely manner. Bathrooms are upgraded, spacious and clean. I will continue to go. I love this place. I have visited here couple of times already and the service and food quality has consistently been amazing! Their salad bar selection is one of the best i have seen and one can easily come here to only try that and leave satisfied. I myself have tried several times to only contain myself to salad bar but i love the meat too much for that. lol! I was not impressed. It's been a few years since I had been here. The food as far as the meat was over cooked and tough even the chicken. Mashed potatoes were not piping hot. Our server introduced himself and checked on us a few times and then was no where to be found. We came here for a friend's birthday. He and his wife have previously been to two other locations and have always had a great experience, so we were excited to go. We made reservations for 7:45 for a group of 7 adults and 3 kids, got there at 7:35 and didn't get seated until 8. Once we got seated, we were told by our waitress that the "restaurant month" special didn't include all cuts of meat and that if one person at the table got it, then we all had too. So we decided to just do normal dinner, not the restaurant month special. As a fine dining steakhouse, along with the name, you expect to receive phenomenal, or at best, good service. Definitely not the case at all. The table ordered two milks for the kids, a water, 2 cokes, and the rest alcoholic beverages. The alcohol came out first and we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the kids milk. We were already done with the first round of meats when the sides came out. Through out the meal, she came by maybe 3 times and we were there for almost 2 hours. At the end of the meal, the waitress just drops off the electronic check and leaves. The check being over $500, we were going to split it. The first couple was able to pay, but then the thing died. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. After about 5 minutes, I was able to call over another waiter who was able to get us a new electronic check. When we went to pay, we couldn't split the check by item and had to get our waitress, who again, was no where to found. After another 5ish minutes, I was able to get the attention of another waitress who had to go find our waitress. Then she came and said she would split it manually. I went to the front and asked to speak to the manager who came and I explain everything I just did above and he apologized and said he was so sorry and asked if we had already paid our bill. I told him part of the table had, but the other hadn't and he said okay and apologized again. I sat down and the waitress had just brought the check. We paid and as we were walking out, someone completely different said he was so sorry and gave me his card and a gift card for one dinner meal and said to come back and ask for him by name and he would make sure the bad service didn't happen again. Salad bar was decent. But you're really not there for the salad bar. You are there for the MEAT!! And I was really disappointed because I heard many great things about Fogo De Chao! The service was okay, our server was pretty busy. So, I know she tried her best to check up on my boyfriend and I. But their assistant manager or manager should have also checked around and help. "Even Vegans would enjoy this salad bar?" METHINKS NOT! Vegetarian Review: I'm the lone, oddball vegetarian in my family. To make things worse, my family loves meat in mass quantities. Meat in the morning, meat in the evening - give 'em a toasty steak and they're in hog heaven. Not me. I was invited to Fogo for a family member's birthday party. Everyone was so excited, and I really didn't know what I was getting into. I walk in and the place seems classy and clean -- a good sign. Then I noticed something after I sat down... Waiters were walking around with whole, cooked animal torsos, bringing the entire cooked animal mass (on a stick) over to people's plates, and shaving meat slices right onto their plates! For a vegetarian, try to understand, this is like a terror show on parade. I was nauseated, disgusted, and horrified the entire night. I remember looking down at my plate of salad whenever the "march of the carcass" passed by. So, yeah, I do remember a good salad bar selection, but it's hard to enjoy it when you're fighting back the gag reflex! Anyone that thinks the salad bar would please us vegetarians clearly doesn't understand the mindset of most of us. This is a place for true meat lovers, so of course a vegetarian like me isn't going to like it. But I had to speak out for those reviews claiming the salad bar is so awesome even a vegetarian would love this place -- that idea is total fail. Apparently on Yelp there are a TON of meat lovers that adore this place, love the idea of skewed animal muscle shaved right onto your plate. UGH. I felt like there was a cow in my belly and he was NOT happy after leaving Fogo. I had lunch at Fogo de Chao on Friday afternoon. Or rather, I gorged happily on rare cuts of meat that had just been pulled off the grill. Filets, ribs, flank steak, top sirloin and more! The salad bar isn't as awesome as other places and usually doesn't have many items I like on it. I find the items too "fancy" -- but then again, just gimme a golden corral salad bar with tons of salad toppings and I'll be happy. The meats however are the star at this show. They come out rare, medium rare and any type of level that you prefer. And if you'd like something that hasn't come to your table, just ask! They're always more than accommodating to bring you what you want. It's a tad pricier for lunch than Texas de Brazil, but includes special cuts like filet and other nice meats. The "happiest place on Earth" is not an overpriced amusement park ruled over by an anthropomorphic mouse and his endless supply of merchandising ventures. It is actually Fogo de Chao. Bold praise? Just the other day I was speaking to a good friend of mine about this place when he proposed the question "Have you ever seen anyone unhappy at Fogo?" I rest my case. And the reasons to be happy here can be summed up in three conveniently soundalike words that lend further evidence in support of this argument since most all the cool people prefer their lists to have three items in them: service, selection and style. Admittedly, "service" is probably the wrong thing to start with here on account of the first thing you realize when your Fogo experience begins is that the valet takes up the front third of the very crowded parking lot behind the place. I guess the valet is good for those of us who like to play "My, Aren't I Important?" on a regular basis as a way of impressing others but parking well behind the place and almost to the Londoner across a grassy ditch has its benefits as you could very well work up an appetite walking towards what promises to be money well spent. A polite front desk staff, an expansive waiting area with plenty of seating and plenty of opportunities to drool over the meat being cooked before your eyes, and a modest bar immediately greet you before you are whisked off on a magical journey in one of several dining rooms. On your way you'll undoubtedly pass by an assortment of servers and an even greater collection of food runners in really cool pants. These are the most important people you will ever meet in your life as they are what stands between you and unparalleled happiness. The servers are attentive and never have you wanting a drink, extra plate, etc. for long. The food runners are all former Olympic track stars - that is the only plausible excuse for how they can repeatedly deliver more than a dozen styles of meat to you as quickly as you can gorge on it. Which brings us to the selection. It's nothing short of brilliant. Filet, sirloin, garlic beef, lamb, parmesan pork and so much more await your knife and fork. And it is all phenomenal. There are genuinely few greater feelings in life than flipping over your dining emblem from red to green and being assaulted by people eager to provide you with enough food to terrify those unprepared. If that previous sentence made no sense to you, please write back to me after you have gone here for the first time because you will know what magic truly is. Incidentally, it would be enough (albeit one-sided) if Fogo did their carnivorous portions exceedingly well and called it a day. I know vegetarians that have come here because the salad bar is unlike any they have ever seen (unless they have already seen it). For one thing, it's massive, occupying a good 2/3's of the main dining room. It's also continuously restocked, ensuring only the freshest items are available to those who make the pilgrimage. I can't comment too much on the dessert since I've never made it through one (as my previously mentioned friend says, "If you've got room for dessert, you've got room for more meat."). The desserts certainly look and taste nice, though. But the most appealing thing in the whole building is the drink cart. It's to the point where I would seriously ask to have my picture taken with the cart if I knew I could control myself. You won't see it on every occasion but when you do, you may be caught off guard. It's small, on plain wheels and looks fairly ordinary. But the alcohol on that cart? Yeah, there's a good chance that cart and its contents cost more than some of the cars driven to Fogo. I'm a scotch guy and I have never left unfulfilled. My wallet has certainly left unfilled, but it is always worth every cent. The place just has a natural style to it you can't really define. It's the food. It's the staff. It's the way the exit slopes down because there is no way you'll be able to walk uphill after eating for a couple of hours if you do it right. Had the privilege of eating here Friday night to celebrate my company's milestone 35th anniversary. From start to finish, this is one first class dining experience. You could get by on just the salad bar here. It's almost an insult to call it that really. I mean, this isn't your run of the mill lettuce, tomato and cucumbers with twenty dressings. This is like asparagus as big as logs, fine/fresh cheeses, smoked salmon, fine mushrooms and plenty of other things that will make your head spin. I'm a vegetarian. Sike! I dined at Fogo for lunch and at lunch prices it was meat galore. Meat was always coming from the left side so I had my little Go/Stop meat card on the right. When we got here, there weren't to many other diners, so the meat boys were just coming at us non stop and my plate was full of delicious, hot, and juicy meats within the first five minutes. I had to turn my card to red just so I could have time to clear my plate. When you're paying more than $30 for lunch who wants to eat cold meat. You could say that service was borderline impeccable/overattentive. Gosh, there were so many kinds of meat that I can't even remember all the different cuts/flavors/types that I had. I also had some house Cabernet to go with my meal and I don't remember which brand it was, but it was pretty darned good.
