Food: We tried the full churrasco for lunch which is $60 per person and includes a variety of meats such as top and bottom sirloin, ribeye, filet mignon, pork sausage, bacon wrapped chicken breast, chicken leg, lamb chops, and parmesan chicken. The full churrasco includes the unlimited salad bar which includes a variety of greens, cheeses, cold cuts, smoked salmon, fruits, bean salads, rice, beans, and more. Brazilian cheese bread and other sides are also included in the meal. Overall, the food is excellent quality and delicious. Service: Service for the most part was excellent, and servers come around constantly asking if you need anything. The meats were a bit slow to come out, and for the first half of our meal, we weren't offered much meat which was disappointing. It was a lot of waiting around for the meat to come to our table. We had to start asking servers to send over specific cuts of meat before it started coming out. I'm not sure if bringing meats out slowly and not frequently is intentional on the restaurant's part, but it would be disappointing if that's the case. Location, ambience, value - they hit all the mark. I went twice in two weeks, both after theatre. Their all day happy hour is a great draw. My feedback is primarily for happy hour/bar eats. Bartenders are lovely and drinks are great. I had their Old fashioned which was perfectly. Another time I had the cucumber martini, a little to sweet for my taste. Their happy hour wine selection is small but good. I had the red blend from Chile and it was surprisingly smooth. Of late I have been moving away from South American reds - find them too tannin-y but this was one was an exception. Their free Brazilian cheese bread is delicious. Burrata - so so Shrimp tacos - friend loved it. Burger - son loved it. Artichoke, avocado salad - it was pretty good. OYCE for $20 if you come during their lunch hours which are 11:30-3pm during weekdays and 11:30-2pm on weekends. The salad bar was splendid. I must have sampled at least 90% of their offerings. Everything was so colorful, delish and healthful, making me relatively guilt-free while committing gluttony. There were so many recipes I rarely have the opportunity to experience, yet here they were - all at the same bar. I particularly enjoyed the roasted zucchini, pickled tomato, greens with roasted pears, and persimmons. For those who require animal protein, smoked salmon and chicken salad were available, as well as pork at the Feijoda bar. Speaking of which, I wasn't a fan of that section. The Feijoda was too salty while the lentil soup was too bland. The ambiance was elegant and staff were professional. This might be the nicest Fogo I've been to - huge, classy, right in the middle of the NY action. I've probably been 5 times to this location and as a single or two people have never had to wait more than 10 minutes even without a reservation. It is also more expensive than other Fogo locations - about $15 more per person but still an excellent value. People swoon over Vegas buffets but Fogo has them all beat hands down - the salad bar (market table) isn't just a filler, it really is the star with such a variety of absolutely excellent things to get you started. I went once when they had a lobster bisque but its been a long time and I desperately want it to be a regular thing - My favorite cut is the picanha - so I've been opting to forego the "full experience" and just get the picanha - they still bring it to your table and you can have as much as you like. I've been to Fogo de Chão before and really enjoyed the experience, so I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday at the Midtown location. Unfortunately, this visit was much more mixed. We arrived early for an early dinner because we had a play afterward. Our waiter was great, but shortly after delivering the seafood tower we ordered, he went on his break, and from that point we felt a bit lost. The seafood tower was very disappointing. The lobster and crab legs were completely frozen, with ice crystals throughout, and the mussels tasted as though they weren't fresh, disappointing given the price. The meat service was better. However, we were repeatedly served the end pieces. After several rounds, I stopped one of the carvers and specifically asked for a middle slice rather than another end. He seemed annoyed by the request, uncomfortable. There was no chicken, no sausage, no pork - just beef was offered. It also felt like some of the service details were missed. We asked for a second plate of mashed potatoes that never arrived, and overall the service felt inconsistent while our waiter was away. Thankfully, our original waiter returned toward the end of the meal and really helped turn things around. He offered us complimentary dessert for my birthday and even arranged for a few servers to come over and sing. I've had great experiences here in the past and was really disappointed with my most recent experience. We had a 1 PM reservation for brunch and arrived on time. We were told to wait to be seated when the downstairs looked fairly empty, but lots of walk ins came in after us and were seated first. After 15 minutes we were finally seated. Service was slower than usual and we were cramped in a tight table in the far back. Our usual favorites, beef short rib and lamb chops were way over cooked. My experience here was terrible. I came to celebrate my partner because she got a new job. I made a reservation weeks in advance and confirmed it. When I arrived, I was asked to wait, and we ended up waiting an additional 10 to 15 minutes. We were then brought to our table, which was in a very odd location. If the salad bar is on your right, they placed us in the back left, right next to the stairs and beside the hostess checkout area. To my left, there was a dark open storage room filled with miscellaneous items like tables, tablecloths, and silverware. There wasn't much space where I was sitting, and waiters repeatedly tried, and at times were forced by to squeeze between the back of my chair and the wall. It made me extremely uncomfortable. In front of me was what I assume is their "party room," where they were hosting some kind of networking event. There was a group of about 10 to 20 young men speaking very loudly and causing a disturbance. The table location, constant way to disturbance and ambience did not lend itself towards a celebratory occasion, which it was supposed to be. My party ordered the all-you-can-eat steak. When the waiter brought out the small bites that accompany the buffet, the bananas, mashed potatoes, and French fries were all very cold and unappetizing. The waiters serving the steak did a great job, but they stopped coming to our table after about 40 minutes. At some point during dinner, I went to the restroom, and it was filthy!! It smelled horrific, and I believe the toilet may have been clogged. At the urinal, there was a doormat placed underneath it, soaking up urine and making the bathroom smell even worse. When I went to wash my hands, there was no soap and no paper towels. Thankfully, the restroom attendant poked her head in as I was leaving and refilled them. When I returned to my table, we were offered complementary drinks. We accepted, and the waiter poured us two shots of some type of tropical tequila drink. As dinner continued, the steak was phenomenal, but our waiter wasn't very attentive. I don't fully blame him, as he seemed to be covering a very large section. When we finally received the bill, about 30 minutes after we were ready to leave. We discovered that the "complementary" drinks were actually added to the check. At that point, I was so fed up that I didn't even want to argue. We paid, tipped, and left. We had a very mixed experience here today. The burger was delicious, but the steak bone came out cold. Service was okay, although we had to remind the staff to bring us plates and utensils. I also ordered a final glass of wine that never came, so when I asked for the bill, I reminded them of the wine. They eventually brought it out. They had been offered seating outside and upstairs but declined because they wanted our table specifically. What made the situation uncomfortable was that the family stood nearby staring at us while we were still finishing our drinks. Eventually, the man leaned over our table and asked us how much longer we were going to be. He proceeded to tell us that we were being inconsiderate and rude. My wine glass was not even halfway. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager because I felt the staff should have stepped in and asked him to give us some space. Instead, he was allowed to continue standing right next to our table and was even served wine while standing next to our table. It made us feel as though we were being rushed out to accommodate another customer, even though we had paid for our meal and were still finishing our drinks. The manager was very apologetic and offered us complimentary dessert, which I appreciated. However, I feel the entire situation could have been prevented if the staff had handled the waiting party differently. It's quite spacious and cavernous, beautifully decorated. They have an extensive salad bar near the middle of the restaurant with added options like rice and beans, lentil soup, and maple-flavored BACON. For the meat rotation, their PORK BELLY absolutely captured my heart. No, NOT the friend pork chops, which is a separate option, but the FRIED PORK BELLY. Lightly crispy outside with an INSANELY melt-in-your-mouth fatty interior goodness and delectably seasoned. The highlight meat of the hour. Runner-ups were the very tasty lamb option, and the baked chicken legs (simple, yet so tender and well-flavored). I believe they had some sort of cocktail special with passionfruit, lime, or strawberry-something flavored options where the "mixologist" put on a little show of pouring and shaking the drinks on a cart in front of the table. Very reasonably-priced for a place like this at $15 each, and they were strong yet delicious. Multiple rounds were ordered. The final act was them bringing a complimentary slice of chocolate mousse cake with sprinkles to our birthday girl as we sang, who then passed it around for us to share. We were also seated on the third floor, totally separated from the first floor requiring us to go down stairs to get food and bring plates of food upstairs from first floor to second floor, passing all the people waiting for a table, to our second floor, or we could wait 5 minutes for elevator to come. We decided to get dessert and their molten chocolate lava cake was by far one of the worst I've ever had. The cake was too dry and cake texture and no molten chocolate inside the cake, the cake just had a hole for them to pour chocolate into. Not bad but definitely not my expectation of it. The restaurant has 3 floors of dining space, and their market table aka salad bar buffet is on the Basement level, so I recommend getting seated on that level. My only complaint is the meats don't come around very often even when your card is flipped to green. This wasn't the case in the WTC location. My favorite cut of meat is their picanha and pork belly. Having visited this location several times prior to the pandemic, I was pleased to find that the service remains consistently attentive and welcoming. Among the various cuts offered, the sirloin and filet mignon stood out as the highlights and were my favorite out of all the options . However, I found some of the other beef cuts to be a bit too salty for my personal taste. The pork belly and chicken offerings didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of flavor or texture. And the cut of lamb was not gamey enough for me. The market place table has some fair options to choose from. Overall, Fogo de Chão in the Manhattan location is a fun place if you're in the area and doing touristy things in the area / seeing a show nearby . When we arrived at the table (group of 7), a waiter with a push cart of prebatched cocktail in a jug came over and suggested we all have a shot as we are "celebrating" tonight. Without us even responding, he gave us all a serving - and while not very enjoyable at all (tasted like warm rum and lime juice), group was still appreciative for what we thought was a free drink and hospitality. When we get our cheque at the end of the meal, we were shocked to see a $15 per person charge for the drink. We asked our waitress about this - who was extremely apologetic (sounded like she heard this problem before or at least prior this night) - but when a manager came over after he rudely shouted at us "why would you guys expect free drinks at a restaurant!" and said at best he can take 3 of the drinks of the tab (?!) At this point we were all drained and wanted to leave the restaurant, so paid without disputing further - but cant help but feel we were taken advantage of, and certainly would never return to this or any Fogo location now. read more

Went for a bday dinner, I don't eat pork but the chicken options were limited to legs or bacon wrapped breast chunks. The steak was tender & plentiful . Salad bar standard American style. No need to go to other places to experience churascarria. Convenient location. I wish i came here before i go to Churascarria Plataforma. Meats are much better cut and well seasoned. The only meat i do not really care is garlic steak. The rest was amazing. Would definitely come back. Wish there were a fruit buffet or more fruits. Only pineapple was served. read more

The meat was slow to come and under seasoned. The only cut that had adequate seasoning was the Picanha. Service was also slow as we would order drinks and they took forever to come. Seeing the server at our table was rare, and we were a large party. I know this chain is quite famous, but I was not impressed and would not return if given the choice. read more

Fred Flintstone's favorite watering hole. When you see the size of the meat they serve here, all you wanna do is shout YABBA DABBA DOO!!!! This is a perfect spot for all you carnivores out there. With friendly staff, good food, great service, and an amazing atmosphere. This place has it all!!!!
