I went to Fogo de Chão for the first time in years and it is just as good as when I had it back then! The staff were so attentive and the ambiance was a cozy, dim environment. The food was perfectly seasoned and prepared. The bone-in ribeye was definitely my favorite and I would recommend it for any fellow meat lover!

Feeling hungry after a nice stroll at the MoMA? Well, directly across the street from the museum is Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse. Just because it's a steakhouse in mid-town Manhattan doesn't mean you have to break the bank. Fogo has one thing on the menu that should fit the bill: Market Table & Feijoada Bar. OYCE for $20 if you come during their lunch hours which are 11:30-3pm during weekdays and 11:30-2pm on weekends. The salad bar was splendid. I must have sampled at least 90% of their offerings. Everything was so colorful, delish and healthful, making me relatively guilt-free while committing gluttony. There were so many recipes I rarely have the opportunity to experience, yet here they were - all at the same bar. I particularly enjoyed the roasted zucchini, pickled tomato, greens with roasted pears, and persimmons. For those who require animal protein, smoked salmon and chicken salad were available, as well as pork at the Feijoda bar. Speaking of which, I wasn't a fan of that section. The Feijoda was too salty while the lentil soup was too bland. The ambiance was elegant and staff were professional. There were a few issues for me personally: none of the staff replenishing the food spoke English, they had to correct my bill twice, and the person who answered my call was scripted and mechanical - I might as well talk to a bot.

My party of 4 visited around 1pm on a Wednesday and were seated promptly. We opted for their $59 full churrasco experience. It included a variety of cuts and market table selection. The servers came around at a decent pace with the meats. They were overall seasoned and cooked well, but a few were on the overcooked end, even when asking for a rarer cut. My favorites were the Pichana (top sirloin) and Fraldinha (bottom sirloin). Overall a good place if you are looking for variety of options.

    Always an excellent meal

This might be the nicest Fogo I've been to - huge, classy, right in the middle of the NY action. I've probably been 5 times to this location and as a single or two people have never had to wait more than 10 minutes even without a reservation. It is also more expensive than other Fogo locations - about $15 more per person but still an excellent value. People swoon over Vegas buffets but Fogo has them all beat hands down - the salad bar (market table) isn't just a filler, it really is the star with such a variety of absolutely excellent things to get you started. I went once when they had a lobster bisque but its been a long time and I desperately want it to be a regular thing - My favorite cut is the picanha - so I've been opting to forego the "full experience" and just get the picanha - they still bring it to your table and you can have as much as you like. It is a fun and impressive place - but take your time - you can really enjoy the experience or get in and out pretty quickly - as close to fine dining-fast food combo as you want to make it.

My husband and I love grabbing a late night dinner at their bar. There's always seats available either on the first floor or the upstairs bar. We often order the picanha sirloin salad comes with a variety of greens including avocado, eggplant, zucchini. The amount of steak varies a bit but it's always been filling! We also love the burger, the bone and queijo assado and love the option to grab an $8 wine or $10 cocktail.

Fogo de chao is an absolutely incredible (and slightly gatekept) happy hour. The Brazilian steakhouse is well known, but happy hour is a special secret. The cocktails are $10-12, wines are $8, and beers are $6-8. The best part is that bar snacks are $6 and there's a full burger option for $10. Super prices for the location and beautiful, sophisticated ambiance. I ordered the passionate caipirinha which has silver cachaca, passion fruit, and lime ($10). It's fruity, bitter, and strong, an amazing combo. We also ordered the polenta fries, sliders, and empanadas which were all very good. Unfortunately, this is a 4 start review due to the service. Our bar tender was nice enough, but the service was really slow. It was hard to get his attention and we had to reach out multiple times instead of him checking in. It's possible that he had more tables/responsibility than we realized, this slowing him down, but it was noticeable.

Excellent service at the midtown Fogo de chao! Rudy was our waiter and was fantastic. Along the staff we encountered were pretty great. We went for Saturday brunch my brother was suggested to get the indulgent experience which included a large lobster tail and dessert in addition to the full experience I had the regular along with a mimosa that was so good. I took my two little yelpers and they enjoyed the salad bar and waffles the most. I'd say it's a nice place for special occasions I was full. The end is come back I didn't get to try a few selections only because I was full.

This restaurant came highly recommended. It's known for its Brazilian steakhouse AYCE experience where they bring the cuts of meat straight to your table and cut it for you. My all time favorite cut of meat is their signature. Other than that, most other pieces were okay at best such as their ribeye and the rest weren't good at all. Some pieces were too tough to each, others like lamb were too lamb-y tasting with no flavor, the chicken was average taste. The salad bar was very disappointing, although the salad (ie ceasar salad) was good and had decent charcuterie pieces of good cheese and cured meats, it often ran out because everyone was only going for those an with good reason as that was really the only highlight of the salad bar. It took time for each cut of meat to come around and rare to get the one you actually want, I just waiting for the signature to come around each time and it only came around twice. Overall for $80ish per person it wasnt worth the hype for me. We were also seated on the third floor, totally separated from the first floor requiring us to go down stairs to get food and bring plates of food upstairs from first floor to second floor, passing all the people waiting for a table, to our second floor, or we could wait 5 minutes for elevator to come. We decided to get dessert and their molten chocolate lava cake was by far one of the worst I've ever had. The cake was too dry and cake texture and no molten chocolate inside the cake, the cake just had a hole for them to pour chocolate into. Not bad but definitely not my expectation of it. If I were to come again, it would be for regular plates of food and not the churrasco ayce and skip dessert. Keep in mind that while decor is nice, seating is very cramped and loud in the restaurant too

Made reservations to come here for my sister's birthday. This restaurant is truly for meat lovers. I've been to this chain restaurant before so it was nothing new to me. However it was my mom and sister's first time. The staff were extremely attentive and knowledgeable of all the meats, salad bar and drinks. The salad bar was nothing special, however they did have rice and beans at this spot which they didn't have in another chain I've gone to. I ended up ordering the bone marrow which I shared with my mom, one word - DELICIOUS. I was honestly surprised. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, however the tables were way too close to each other and walking around people in their chairs and waiters coming through was a bit tight. I felt like we were always on top of others. Everything was great once the bill came. During our meal, there was a waiter going around table to table making a drink and only asked if we were interested in one. The waiter never said it would be included in our bill. We thought it was a complimentary drink so it would have been nice to have known. Regardless of that, our waiter actually gave my sister a dessert free of charge for her birthday which I thought was extremely nice! For 4 people, our bill was close to $600 so it's definitely something to take into consideration if you're only looking for a quick meal. I'd definitely come back with a completely empty stomach!

I've been here a couple of times for dinner. This is my first time here for happy hour. They have a nice selection of drinks. $10 cocktails, $8 South American wines, and $5 beer, and a good selection of food menu from $6 bar bites / $10 picanha burger and many more to choose from. I ordered the picanha burger. It was very juicy and the bone. It comes with a long piece of bone and Chimichurri sauce .as you can see in one of the pictures. They are having a special surf and turf for $59. The servers are very nice and the ambience is elegant and cozy at the bar.

This is considered a plate for four on the shareable sides

The way this message is getting ignored just shows the customer service of this company. Gonna take this to the better business bureau. Went to Fogo de Chão Midtown Manhattan for my anniversary with my wife. Also was my best friends wedding anniversary as well. We ordered the Tomahawk steak for four -- they only brought out one small plate of mashed potatoes and two sweet plantains for the whole table. The waitress never came back once after serving the food. For the price and reputation of this restaurant, the service and portions were unacceptable. Terrible experience -- definitely not worth it.

Great spot with indoor and outdoor eating. Great happy hour pricing for a few drinks and appetizers. Would def return again.

They have a happy hour menu with $6 bar bites and $10 cocktails. We made a reservation for a group of 5 and just walked in upstairs to grab a table. The bar bites portions are for 2-3 people. We tried the sticky legs, empanadas, polenta fries, chicken sliders, and cheese with honey dip. The sticky legs and sliders were the tastiest. The polenta fries use corn flour and are very crunchy. They have skinny cocktails and a hibiscus caipirinha. It's peak summer but it was a bit warm in that area.

Are we able to make reservations, and if so how?

They're on OpenTable, or you can make a reservation on their website.

What is the price for lunch? And do they offer a happy hour?

I'm not sure about lunch but each location approaches happy hour differently. If you go to the location in Manhattan you can have the meat selection and happy hour. The queens location (the one I prefer) you can have both.

Is the Feijoada bar available during brunch?

    Yes!

Is lunch price available on weekends?

it is available and its very similar to the dinner menu - definitely worth going

What is market table and Fejioda Bar?

It s the salad bar with all the fixins'

Do they have any halal meats (chicken, beef or lamb)?

    Yes they do have them

Totally confused with their menus. 1. What is CHURRASCO EXPERIENCE? Some kind of All you can eat?…

Does this midtown Fogo have outdoor seating this fall and if they do, is it the whole experience where waiters come cut meat at your table? I'm trying to plan ahead for my 's birthday. Thanks!

I would sit inside because the Feijoada bar is inside and you will not be able to transport food from inside to outside. The bar is all you can eat and it's downstairs. You can order from the regular menu but you cant can't get the experience…

What's the difference between lunch & dinner? I can only tell a price difference.

That's all I think also. We went for lunch. Same menu as dinner menu. Just very much cheaper.t just don't think people eat as much as dinner and lunch is easier on the employees. Not as busy.

    Good red wines?

    Yes

    Is smoking allowed?

    No it is not

Hello could someone tell me if they serve chicken sausage?

    No they do not

Is the salad bar functioning normally or due to covid they have some restrictions or less stuff to choose from?

It was fully functional in New York in July.

Can we bring our own wine?

    No, they don't do BYOB

Are you participating in restaurant week to go 2021?

We are! Here is a link to our take out Restaurant Week page https://fogo.olo.com/menu/fogo-de-cho-brazilian-steakhouse-21/products/32535721.

    Is there outdoor dining?

    No at the moment

Now that indoor dining has stopped, does your outdoor seating have heating?

    Yes

How is the one in Carle Place doing social distancing indoors? And what is the % capacity indoors?

    I am honestly not sure.

What is Fogo doing about the salad bar? Are all options still available somehow?

Yes all options are available . There is a waiter/ waitress that serves you. You cannot get items on your own .

    Is inside dining available?

Not yet but the outside is gorgeous and you get the same service and delicious food.

I was duly impressed with Berimbau in 2024 and since it was MY night -- that's where we went. (Reservations, btw always warranted.) The Picahana feast ($149) previously included salad. In light of the national cyclosporiasis crisis, they've adapted their menu: steak, corn farofa, heirloom tomatoes and creamed spinach. If you're in NYC and enjoy red meat, visit Berimbau. The Picahana feast feeds three hungry adults, with leftovers. (Note to self: next time request medium rare; medium is a tad too well done.) I enjoyed their creamed spinach a bit more than T and my daughter. It had somewhat of a gummy consistency, more pronounced when the dish cooled. We were in accord with everything else, particularly their Brazillian rolls (pao de Quiejo) and guava/stracciatella dip. Rather than order from the wine list, we brought our own. $40 corkage fee. If you follow our lead, please call in advance. Desserts are small, but rich. Two for the three of us was perfect. We shared carmelized yuca cake with cupaucacu cream and cacau & caju, a satisfying dark chocolate. There are many celebrated steak houses in Manhattan which are often super-expensive and a la carte. While far from cheap, in comparison Berimbau offers a bang for one's buck and the Picahana cut is nothing short of delicious. Service is friendly and on-the-ball. Plus the dining room is very pretty.

We sat at the cellar dining area and loved the tiles designed dining table. It was a very quiet and intimate environment. We chose to eat family style and ordered a bunch of Sharable Plates and Large Plates. We all fell in love with their Spinach with fava beans, Polvo, and Carne de Porto à Alentejana. As much as I say dont fill up on their Portuguese bread to focus on your main dishes this is one of those few time i disagree as they were amazing and I absolutely loved it especially since it pairs well with the Polvo and Chourico Portuguese Assado. Chourico Portuguese is great due to the table side searing they do and the option of having 1 spicy and 1 non spicy sausage is a great option for people who don't like any heat to their food. The Bolinhos de Bacalhau was great as it was not too salty and the right amount of crunchy. We were not super hungry, which was too bad, because everything sounded great. We ordered the bife a cervejeiro (sirloin in garlic sauce) and it was absolutely delicious. The bread is divine and was perfect for dipping in the sauce. I miss crusty Portuguese bread. Our drinks were great. I'm looking forward to returning when I can eat and drink more, and I definitely want to do their namesake leitao dinner.

Just stepping into the place, it has an…read moreintimate setting and aura to it with the hanging lights that coincide with the dark colored walls, giving the inside a mix of dim and bright. I've only seen one waiter in the area but he does his job with precision and punctuality that it almost makes me worry that he could get overworked if the place was a lot busier but it was manageable during lunch break. I've ordered for lunch Fried Tilapia with beans and rice along with a chicken & beef Empanada and Guarana cola. The meal was thoroughly sublime. The empanadas were a mixture of crisp but also tender, the fish was divine, flaky, nowhere near as dry, the lime with it also adds to the flavor and the Rice & Beans are a staple compliment to the meal. Meal itself was affordable, came up to $25 along with a solid $5 tip because the experience was very pleasant. I recommend this place at the highest of orders.

Of course we shared the cheese bread, which was served warm, satisfyingly cheesy with a nice sticky consistency. For my entree, I ordered the Steak which came with fries, rice and beans. Steak was not tender, as it was difficult to cut especially with the knife they had available. Fries were not crispy enough and very bland. I also got to try the Crispy Salmon and Cheesy mushroom rice. Crispy Salmon had a delightful crispness on the edges. The Salmon was also succulent and flaky. Cheesy mushroom rice was cooked perfectly, with plenty of irresistible melty cheese with mushroom and tasty seasoning. Service was decent. Prices were not bad. However, I would not return because the food was mediocre.
