Food For Thought was a very pleasant surprise. It is a nice vegan place located in a health food store. I had the falafel sandwich and it was very good. It came with a small side salad that was A-OK. They offer a variety of drinks, cafe style. Service was friendly. Food was delivered quick enough. You order at the counter and then find a seat. It seemed like the owners were working there. I loved this place! It is so beautifully decorated, everyone was very attentive, and the decor and overall ambiance had amazing energy, peaceful and inviting. We were only in Marathon for a couple of weeks and stayed in a house a couple miles away, and I came here as often as possible! They have a cafe and a shop rolled into one, and everyone that works here is so friendly and helpful! They have a large menu in the cafe with daily specials (usually a beverage, a soup, and an entree) and everything I had was really amazing. I tried the "meatball" wrap, a green juice, an immunity buster beverage of the day, their super amazing tarragon "chick'n" salad, and, my favorite, the FLU BUSTER. It isn't that I think this is the best drink they have (again, I have only tried a handful of drinks here), it's that this is the best drink I have ever had!!! I have been dreaming about this beverage since coming home to cooler weather. It's out of this world. read more

I will give this place 10 stars if I could. I really admire the owner's determination and commitment to have an organic and healthy grocery and cafe. We arrived at 12:30pm and breakfast is no long served. Everything is vegan except the eggs on breakfast menu. I had the hummus wrap and the green juice. The juice has such a strong ginger flavor and all I can say is, it's very healthy (lol. I have nobody to blame but myself). The wrap is very good. It comes with a big salad and dressing. I am very satisfied after having the perfect salad and wrap. They also sell vegan muffins and different shots like wheatgrass. They also close on Labor Day, a sign to me that they are not trying to make every penny they can and show another way of living to locals. The store also sells cute cards that you can check out. Avocado toast was a little disappointing since it was literally a small slice of toast for 6$. The falafel burger and salad were satisfying and filling. This cafe is in the grocery store...think Starbucks in Barnes and Noble. I will let you know that we understand that this kind of food can be a bit more price wise bc everything is fresh except for the cheesecake. We got 2 entrees, a special juice drink and split a dessert for about $50. I would say most juice places would have priced the juice at $8. versus $10. but I do believe you pay for what you get! The food is fresh, tasty, and healthy! I like the pad thai which had a nice twist of apple with peanut sauce. It was super refreshing!!! I got the meatball sub, which was tasty! I would have put a little less sauce, but delicious. We got the Glow juice, which had a kick with cayenne but it was sweet, too. I'd want to taste the other juices, too, because they all sound wonderful. My favorite, though, was the cheesecake, which was scrumptious!!! Probably not healthy, but SO worth it! I found this place while perusing vegetarian options on my way back from the Keys. It was a little hard to find at first, as I did not realize it was actually contained within a health foods store. I was delightfully surprised with all the fresh, local, and organic options here. I had the burrito, which consists of raw vegan chili, avocado, pico, olives, cashew sour cream, and a vinaigrette dressing. It also comes with a side salad. The food was good, fresh, and filling. Well worth a stop on your way to and from the Keys. Just be aware that the signage out front for the actual restaurant isn't good. Keep an eye out for a truck that says "Organic Cafe" -- it's located in the store directly behind it. read more

I got avocado toast and my boyfriend got a wrap as well as a peanut butter protein smoothie while we were on vacation in the Florida Keys. It was quality and fresh but for what we got, the prices were a little overboard. They used Garden of Life plant based protein for their smoothie which I'm definitely a fan of. It is also a health food store as well that sells amazing local products. I bought a really good sriracha sauce while being there from the brand Made With, which was decently priced and I'm in love with. It's a cool little spot to check out, just kind of pricey. read more

Not very much product inventory at all and high prices. The cafe inside is ok. The food is ok , high priced and they give you a small amount. And if you eat here as a vegan make sure when you order a vegan menu item and swap the bun for a gluten free one they know you still want the meal to be vegan cause they will give you a gluten free bun that has eggs in it. read more
