    Paper on the ground

Ambiance: I went yesterday to the one in Fremont near the closed red lobster. At the time, absolutely no carts to be found. They're scattered everywhere. Most people wouldn't make a big deal about not being able to find a cart but as a loyal shopper, it's the first most important thing. We need carts if we buy multiple things. I'm not an octopus. Paper all over the ground. I see carts scattered everywhere and not lined up the way they should be or garbage in the parking lot and paper all over the front of the outside store: makes me wanna go someplace else. This location Runs neck and neck to the one in Hayward for the ambiance. at least there's no piss smell. Bathroom could look a little cleaner.

1 star bc I walked in and the store was so clean. Everything was so easy to find. It was a five star. I mean this store smelled so clean through my mask. I'm finding everything and more so quickly. I'm so excited bc I have 10 min. To pick up my daughter. I go to self check out this is my 5 to one star drop. To see two young men employees doing nothing!!!!! Burns my skin up!!!! They're talking laughing! Which is great! However, greet your customers! Stop laying on your register like you're 90! You're a kid come on! I called you over four times !!! Than you rush over and not even listen! And complete what I asked you to do! Your to busy playing with your coworker! Not acceptable! He should be else where! You should smile, greet your customers and help them! Learn while you're young kid! At your age I had manners! Beginning of the month 2.1.2023 fast lane 1 14:43:39 27300 Hesperian Blvd store 406!

I remember back in the day when the butcher used to trim the meat. Make it presentable and cutting the fat knowing we will not eat it. Now days, they leave the fat on and charge us for it. Every penny taken from their customers count. No matter what a rip off it is. I am disabled and had this delivered to me so I had no choice but to accept. Cannot physically take it back.

Aww Hayward you never fail to amuse me. Do you take Bart and really enjoy the smell of pee and parking lots full of trash. If you are use to Bart. Then FoodMaxx is right up your alley. Then you will love FOODMaxx not only are they open late. The homeless and crack heads like to hang out here. My people love to talk to me and hit me up for money. I personally don't mind but when they take number 1's so close to my car it really makes me want to avoid this place. The outside of this place might be scary for some. But once you get inside you will find some pretty good deals. Items are priced very well and good deals can be had here. They do a pretty good job with this place on the inside keep it's pretty stalked up. It can get very busy during peak hours and get ready to wait 10 + minutes no matter what time you go in line. They don't bag for yourself but people who are not use to this will really hold up the line. This place is about getting good deals and getting out as fast as you can. They just need to staff more people on the register. The lines can be very massive if you go at peak times 20 + minutes waiting. I like to go late at night when the lines are way shorter but they only run 1 person at the register and if you have a Hayward crack head in front of you who hasn't taken a shower it not the most fun in the world. Good Prices, Fresh Produce and Saving are great I give you the extra star. But you got to keep the parking lot a bit neater and staff better. I'll give you 2 star for FoodMaxx if you don't mind the ghettoness it can be a good place to save money. I'm from Hayward so it's second nature to me I'll keep shopping here and hope the homeless people in the parking lot of FoodMaxx avoid my car as there next rest stop.

I always come to get treats for my kid's teachers (for their birthdays, teacher appreciation week, just because, etc.). I've brought friends visiting the Bay Area to this bakery, which they have loved. Always Yours also has fun cup sleeve events, macaron classes and afternoon tea from time to time. We love supporting small businesses and this one is definitely worth supporting! Order the ube cheesecake, butter toffee cookie, and a assam milk tea with boba. The order came out quickly. Ube Japanese cheesecake is tasty, not too much ube taste. It is super light and moist, love how it is not too sweet. For the assam milk tea, I prefer it with more tea flavor. The drink was ok, the matcha drinks look better. The butter toffee cookie was the best, it was flavorful, the toffee has added toasted nutty flavor with some sugar. I would get a box full. Overall, has a great variety of baked goods.

It's in a corner of a very cute gourmet food hall and had a good selection of goods left in mid-afternoon on a weekday. Service is also friendly and prompt. I had to get the kouign amann because I always get one wherever I can, and also picked up a plain croissant, currant scone, and panna cotta. The KA was decent; I would call this one a diet KA because they only put the sugar on one side so it was more like a brulee'd croissant. I also have to admit that, while this shaping is very attractive, the direction of the lamination makes eating this feel like shards in my mouth. However, flavor was excellent. The plain croissant is very plain. It's decent but I've had better. The scone and panna cotta, however, were delightful. Both had lovely soft textures and wonderful creamy flavors. The scone held up for two days and wasn't even a bit stale when I finally had it for breakfast. Highly recommend this tucked-away bakery in the Castro Valley!

Seven Hills Baking Co was my first stop as I haven't had sourdough since childhood. I got their classic sourdough loaf. Even though it wasn't warm anymore it was still amazing. It was quite hard to cut into with a serrated bread knife, which I'm not sure whether that's normal or abnormal for gluten sourdough. However, the inside was lovely and soft. Nice strong sour flavor, spongy dough that was almost moist (not at all dry). I want to note on the gluten free front that seven hills baking co offers a few items which they advertise to be gluten free. Though the ingredients may be gluten free, the items are baked in the same kitchen, the same oven, and then put side by side with the gluten in the display case. Furthermore I don't believe their ingredients are all certified gluten free. Therefore I do not recommend seven hills baking co for anybody with celiac disease. Do not buy your friend with a gluten allergy or celiac these items. There is most certainly cross contact.
