This was kind of a let down I'm not going to lie. After reading all the amazing reviews I had very high hopes and expectations coming into this meal. Got a beef pad see ew and a shrimp curry dish. Both could've used a lot more flavor and spice. Drinks were decent, and so was pricing.

There's new Winter cocktails for the season and the presentation was so cool! These cocktails screamed Christmas and paired well with all the delicious Thai food. The two cocktail names are Christmas Eve and Whimsical Smoke. For non-alcoholic drinks, I got the Mango Meadow and Lychee Thai Iced Tea. The mocktails were so refreshing. The food I ordered was: Taro Puff Peek Gai Mak Khamin Tord Goong Nueng Ma Nao Pad Thai Lobster Tail Khao Phad Pla Mueng Moo Yaang I liked the sweet and sticky wings and their shrimp salad was fresh and spicy. I never had squid ink in fried rice, but that dish was so yummy and had a whole fried octopus tail! The Pad Thai with a lobster tail was my fav. The lobster was grilled and the noodles were slightly sweet and tamarind-y. The pork chops were super tender and came with a great dipping sauce. Service was great and food came out fast. Also, from 4-7 PM Mondays-Thursdays, their happy hour deal gets you a free cocktail if you buy 2!

Really cozy ambiance, good service, and food! My friend and I came here after walking around the neighborhood thrifting. We both loved the interior with their rattan chairs. The atmosphere was really calm and bright, and the staff were very polite! We shared the crab rangoon, the green curry and shrimp pad thai. Overall the food was good and I wonder if we weren't in such a rush if I could have updated the spice level.

BEST PAPAYA SALAD I'VE EVER HAD, 10/10. It was seasoned so perfectly; just the right amount of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy (it's not very spicy). I would return just for this alone. I also tried the gui chai tord, pan fried chive cakes, that tasted increasingly better the more I ate it. I loved how softly fried the outside was, but still soft and chewy (kind of like a mochi consistency) on the inside. 4.5/5 For my entree I ordered the pad thai with tofu and it was good but it might've been overshadowed by how amazing the papaya salad was. I think I would've liked this dish more if it was more tangy/sour and spicy. 3.5/5

I was looking for some lunch not too far from home and found this spot. I found street parking which wasn't hard because it was really in the day. I stopped by early afternoon and there were a few customers eating inside. I was surprised how big and beautiful the restaurant is inside. I ordered my lunch to go and had to wait about 10 minutes. I ordered the basil chicken lunch special that came with a small salad. I requested a mild spicy flavor and the food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely return to check out some other menu items. However, this time I would like to sit and enjoy the ambience inside.

Forever Thai: A Culinary Oasis in Williamsburg Forever Thai, nestled in the heart of East Williamsburg, is a culinary oasis that transports you to the vibrant streets of Thailand without leaving New York City. With its stunning modern decor and captivating lighted tree at its center, the restaurant creates an enchanting, intimate, inviting ambiance. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant's design is a perfect blend of contemporary elegance and traditional Thai elements, creating a visually stunning space that is both stylish and comfortable. The lighted tree, a restaurant's centerpiece, adds a touch of magic and creates a unique dining experience. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Forever Thai and was immediately impressed by the quality of the food. I ordered the pad see ew with broccoli, and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the broccoli was fresh and crisp, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The sauce was a delightful balance of sweet, salty, and savory, making every bite a culinary delight. What set Forever Thai apart from other Thai restaurants I've visited was the freshness and quality of the ingredients. It was clear that the chefs took great care in sourcing the best possible ingredients for their dishes. The flavors were authentic and vibrant, capturing the true essence of Thai cuisine. Beyond the food, the service at Forever Thai was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to recommend dishes based on my preferences and ensured that I had a memorable dining experience. If you're looking for a truly exceptional Thai restaurant in Williamsburg, Forever Thai is a must-visit. With it's beautiful decor, delicious food, and impeccable service, it's a culinary gem that will leave you wanting more. Pics: were leftovers that I took home for dinner. I shall return!

I had been wanting to try out this spot in my neighborhood for some time. Finally went last night. The food was amazing. I had a Thai Iced tea and Pad Kee Mau. Food was delicious. Hubby had some appetizers that he also enjoyed. The taro puffs were ok, lacked a little flavor. Chicken wings were tasty but not deeply fried as described. Was looking for more of a crunchy skin. The spring rolls were good but he didn't enjoy the filling.

two friends suggested this thai restaurant & i'm happy AF they did! first the ambiance. very cozy, intimate vibes with beautifully white tiled floors & wooden accents including a gorgeous bar area (with purse hooks!). in the center of the restaurant is a floral tree which subtly enhances the atmosphere. lots of blue accents carried throughout the interior design & even in the dish ware! (love the attention to detail). we arrived, no res, only waited five minutes before we were seated. it was friday & pretty packed but the service was quick & efficient. (water glass stayed full!) on to the food! we ordered family style, starting with papaya salad sans nuts & YOWZA, i just kept on eating it! the combination of flavors really packs a punch to the tastebuds. absolute fire, that salad! i'd spin the block for that ALONE. we also ordered the wings (delish), panang curry with shrimp (PHENOMENAL with the jasmine rice), & the pad thai with tofu (wouldn't get again). we had the chocolate lava cake for dessert which was warm & gooey but i wasn't a fan of the fruity pebbles on the plate. last but NEVER least, the thai iced tea was perfection! (& not small either!) overall, great spot for a dinner date with friends or celebration dinner! i'd definitely return to try more of their menu!

What a great experience! A friend of mine was celebrating a birthday and we had other plans near by so I easily made a reservation at Forever Thai. WOW! I certainly wasn't expecting the quality and customer service I received for the affordable prices! The food was absolutely AMAZING! It reminded me of the fresh and delicious flavors I experienced in Thailand! I didn't want it to end but my tummy was busting at the seams! Our server was super attentive and gave us great recommendations. The restaurant is beautiful and they take special care in the details and it shows. Needless to say, I will be back and I'm telling everyone I know!

A cute restaurant in Bushwick we went on a Saturday evening around 7:30. We didn't have a reservation but decided to wait for a table vs eating at the bar. The wait was around 15 min for a booth. The hostess was polite as was all of the staff. We ordered the following Duck buns - just ok. The duck to bun ratio was light and would have liked it to be juicier Crab and Cream Cheese wontons - to be fair I'm not a fan of cream cheese in rolls/wontons etc. my friend wanted them. She enjoyed them. For me it was fine but not something I would order again. She would Tom kha Gai - soup with with the shrimp it was amazing Tom Yum Gai - soup with shrimp mushrooms and lemongrass . Enjoyable spicy tangy flavor. I would esp want this when sick Fried Branzino - amazing and glad we decided to share as we were stuffed from the apps Lychee cocktail- forgot the name but tasty

Order: - Pad See Ew (5/5) - Pad Kee Mau (4/5) - Peach Lemonade (4/5) Pros: - Great tasting Thai food - A lot of options to choose from, ranging from the classics to extravagant dishes - Quick and kind service. Our food came out very quickly - Cute aesthetics Cons: - Overpriced. The noodles/fried rice dishes start at about $15 and cost additional for premium meats Overall: Great tasting Thai food but a bit overpriced imo

Loved that every table had fresh flowers; you can tell they really care about the little details. We ordered quite a bit and honestly, everything was on point: · Lychee Thai Iced Tea & Yuzu Pop - both refreshing and not too sweet (huge plus for me since I don't have a big sweet tooth). · Moo Ping - solid start to the meal. · Salmon Mango (GF) - the salmon was cooked through (which I asked for), and the mango salad underneath was light and tangy. The sweet fruit with the savory fish worked way better than I expected. · Pineapple Fried Rice - came with shrimp, nice wok aroma, and that perfect sweet-tangy pineapple kick. · Pineapple Lychee Crispy Duck (GF) - duck skin was nice and crispy, and the coconut-based sauce with lychee and pineapple kept it from feeling heavy or greasy. · Branzino Chili Lime (GF) - came out piping hot, classic Thai-style sour broth that paired perfectly with the fish. No fishy taste at all, and the texture was tender. Even the drinks and dessert weren't overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, really enjoyed the meal here -- flavors are solid, service was friendly, and you can feel the effort they put into the experience. Definitely coming back!

Lunch in Brooklyn during in-between meetings of my professional duties of a Wednesday afternoon…read moresummons Thai cuisine. Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

Where can I even start with this restaurant…read more.. My girlfriend picked this spot to end our date night, and boy did she choose a gem. From the initial hospitality, to the last bite, everything was a 10 out of 10, and I say that sparingly when dining out. For the drinks we went with a Thai Iced Tea and Key Lime Thai Iced Tea. The Thai Iced Tea was amazing, though a tad sweeter than what we were used to. Nonetheless it was still a great palette cleanser in between dishes. Now that Key Lime Thai Iced Tea was DIFFERENT. Upon sipping, you get hit with a nice tart sweetness from the key lime that is met immediately with the smooth creaminess from the Thai iced tea. The combination worked so perfectly I had to force myself to not finish the drink before the dishes arrived to the table. 10/10, I don't want to drink another drink again if it's not that one. For starters we had the Chicken Curry Puffs and Calamari. The curry puffs were perfectly fluffy with the nice earthy, sour, spicy, sweet umami flavor of the curry filling, which they did not skimp on. The Calamari was also perfectly crispy and salted, and went really well with the peanut tamarind sauce that came with it. 10/10 For the main courses we ordered the Tom Yum Crab Fried Rice, Braised Spicy Basil Duck, and Spicy Holic Noodle. Firstly, the portions were massive. For perspective, I'm 6'2 230lbs and can eat a good amount, but even after sharing each dish with my girlfriend the plates looked barely eaten. We did not complain about having leftovers though. The Tom Yum Crab Fried Rice came with a massive pile of lumped crab meat, which was probably the most crab I've ever received for this dish from other restaurants. The dish was well-balanced and provided a nice sourness that was unexpected but tasty. 9.5/10 only because I wish it was a tad spicier from the Tom Yum spices. The Braised Basil Duck was probably my favorite dish of the night. The duck was juicy and tender and still had a little crisp on the skin despite being covered in spicy basil sauce. The dish was also very balanced and had a great helping of duck and bell peppers, which added great texture and soaked up all of that sauce. 10/10 The final dish, Spicy Holic Noodles, was also a favorite of mine. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the thin rice noodles soaked up all of the spicy sauce and added a nice chewy texture to the dish. The string beans were also nice and crunchy and added more playfulness to the texture of the dish. 10/10 This is definitely a great spot for date nights, gatherings with friends, or even a solo date. The space is intimate, but not too overwhelming for people who aren't fond of large crowds. I'll definitely be back and would recommend everyone visit at least once.

My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

Newsflash: Ugly Baby is back on its bullshit. Ugly Baby's…read moreconceit, if you can call it that, was that it was really, really spicy. Spicy food, in case you didn't know, connotes authenticity. Call it suffering for beauty, in a culinary wrapper. Ugly Baby took this S&M theater to its logical conclusion in all regards: tuck it in an inaccessible corner of South Brooklyn; use tiny chairs and brusquely inform diners they have an hour start to finish at their table. The more inconvenient it was, the better. I held my applause after my single visit to Ugly Baby, which closed amidst wails and lamentation last year from people who liked rough treatment. But something drew me back to this reincarnation, started by the same people. Maybe, I thought, they'd found a way to bring us that magnetic authenticity, and hold the ball gags and chain flails? The answer is no. I should have known from the name alone: another mysterious two-word phrase (both of whose words again end in -y) that sounds like it could be an overly literal translation of some ineffable Thai concept. I should have known when it opened in the same godforsaken corner of ... what is that? Gowanus? I should have known from the protracted negotiations for a suitable table that followed when my husband, mom and I arrived punctually for our 5:30 reservation and were primly informed we'd be squeezing onto a two top, then were refused an obviously empty three-top ("it's reserved"....oh you mean by a party of three with a reservation like us?), and then grudgingly seated at a four-top, half of which was literally in the kitchen. I should have known after being apprised that "you have one hour at the table." I should have known when there were no appetizers or desserts, and only two vegetarian entrees. This is the same thing as before. We're so back, baby. The mushroom curry, with its single fire emoj, was nowhere near the spiciest thing on the menu, but gosh was it still spicy. How do they make food with such complex flavors that's still hot enough to have emanated from the bowels of hell? It has to be one of the best curries I've had. It's a talent, special even, but it could easily coexist without Hungry Thirsty's other downsides. But I think all those inconveniences and discomforts are the point. They serve to reinforce the specialness of the special parts, counterintuitively increasing your mental investment in internally extolling Hungry Thirsty's virtues. They are to each element what spice is to food: it hurts, and you're proud that it hurts. It all adds up to the second coming of Ugly Baby, and why wouldn't it? Enough people liked being slapped around; maybe they felt like they deserved it. You know if that's you or not.

My first time here and it was a great experience. It is Valentine's Day and we left with a cute little gift from them, beautiful gesture. Definitely coming back :)

Had been passing this spot for years and finally had the chance to stop in…read more Host was polite and quickly sat us without a reservation - we wanted to sit outside and there was room thankfully. Wait staff was attentive to dietary needs, exemptions and ensured our request was followed to a T. Ordered some Khao Kriab Pak Mor (dumplings) to start along with a pair of mocktails. And an order of Khao Na Ped (smoked vegan duck) and Ginger Chicken (vegan). All served well with good portion. What I personally liked is the 2 dishes took a bit, not slow or long but IMHO taking a little bit always seems it was cared for in prep. Who knows just my thing. The staff has a challenge to accommodate outdoor seating as the bldg doesn't have an inside/back door for them and they must carry food out the front door, down the sidewalk and into the garden area. That's tough but they do it with grace. The seating was okay since it's early enough but bugs showed up - no surprise - not a complaint just the reality of life and online typing in case anyone is considering it and is more sensitive to the same.
