post workout Smoothie 20oz
Sayuri A.

forever yogurt is super cool!!! i feel like frozen yogurt is a lost art (as a native Californian, there are so few spots in chicago). i did end up getting a smoothie but i will be back for froyo. i love this place because its so unique- they have so many different spots to sit inside as well as games and a jukebox (!?). i'd definitely come here to hang out with friends, chat & play board games. my friends were getting Jeni's across the street but i wanted to check this place out so unfortunately didn't get to hang out here for too long but i want to come back. the cashier was rlly nice explaining the smoothie ordering process to me!

This is probably my second time going to the FY location and it's one of my faves. Workers are always so sweet and friendly and the yogurt stations are always squeaky clean! Will have to keep coming back for my froyo fix

Cute place. Staff was very nice and the space was nice and open. They have an amazing amount of toppings you can put on your yogurt, from candy to cereal. You are charged by the oz., so your cups are weighed at the end. I will say that the yogurt was super cold for me, so cold in fact that I couldn't taste the flavor of the strawberries or the toppings I got. And believe it or not, I got an internal chill from eating it. The Queen got some to go and it did not melt right away. Not sure what they are using to make the yogurt but man it is super cold! I would say, if you are like The Queen, this is the place for you with all of the options offered. She goes it quite a bit, so if you are a yogurt person and like a trillion options for toppings, this is the place for you. Although I am guessing that in the summer, this would be a good way to cool down my internal temperature.

We love Andersonville, it's a quiet neighborhood located between the Loop and O'Hare. It's not easy to get to by train, since the nearest stop will still have you walk several blocks before getting to the center of the neighborhood, but once there, we often stop at Forever Yogurt. You walk in and you pick an empty cup and you can fill it up with up to 14 different yogurt flavors and then top the cup with over 60 toppings. It can get expensive, but it's a build your own concept, so you can get exactly what you want.... Loud music plays inside, so you better like music !

My husband and I both got some frozen yogurt here. My husband has never had frozen yogurt do they explained the process and gave us gloves for self-serve. The main thing I noticed is they don't take away the weight of the cup so that $0.69 per oz includes the weight of the cup. We both, of course, over filled our cups but it was still worth the deliciousness even if it was super melty towards the end. I do hope to return one day, and next time hopefully I won't overfill my cup and waste yogurt. I got cookie & cream yogurt and chocolate chip cookie yogurt, along with butterfinger, reeses pieces and hot caramel as toppings. I definitely am looking forward to trying something different next time. Thanks for the deliciousness.

When the frozen yogurt shop bubble burst in the later half of the 2010s, the unsuspecting patrons (high school tweens, almond moms, and suburbanites hanging out in the big city) of these establishments would have no idea of the harrowing froyo shop scarcity they would face in 2023. /I/ had no idea how hard it would be to find good fro-yo post 2016, I wish it was a 2012 trend that stuck around!!! Unrelated, did you know there are only 3 dairy queens in Chicago and they are only across the Northside? There are only a few frozen yogurt places left in the old guard outside of the red mangos in downtown Chicago, and perhaps one of the best is Forever Yogurt. I don't CARE that it's a chain, it's FOREVER. FOREVER YOGURT. that's what I chant in my heart every day, FOREVER YOGURT. Ben Platt sang about this, "all I see is sky for forever yogurt!!" You walk in and BOOM it's well lit and cozy, stacks of cups, the hum of the froyo machines, there is a variety of seating and tables, and then the TOPPINGS LITERALLY STRETCH FOR FOREVER. is that why they call it forever yogurt? FOREVER YOGURT. The tangy froyo first of all, is delicious, classically creamy and tangy, it's perfect. There are like 5 topping stations and types? It's CRAZY. there's literally every candy imaginable, cookies (including the Caramel delights), FRESH CRISP fruit, nuts, fudge, popping boba, mochi, sprinkles, nerds, like literally anything I've could have imagined at a froyo shop, they got it. It's clean and efficient and the staff are SO FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING and all greet you when you walk in that beautiful door. Better yet, there are board games in the back, and wifi!!! I want this to be a beloved community and neighborhood space so bad, please give forever yogurt some love. FOREVER YOGURT. I live so far from Andersonville but I'm gonna make the shlep religiously. The last thought I leave you is that forever yogurt is abbreviated for-yo. DO IT FOR YOOOOOOOOO

Great frozen yogurt joint. Pretty typical but delicious with lots of options. They had like 6 kinds of popping boba, my favorite topping. The employees were all very friendly and greeted everyone in and out. The place is clean and had a bunch of board games you can use. Don't forget that you pay by weight, lest you have a $15 dessert. I got a swirl of the tart and mango sorbet, excellent combo.

If you are looking to find a bright and kid friendly late night foyo this is your place! This is normally my go to place when I want a healthy conscious ice cream alternative. I was taken back by my customer service experience this evening which is not consistent w/ my previous visits. I was prompted to leave a review as a reflective learning moment for growth . I paid for my sisters ice cream but I was not finished adding my toppings so I told my sister she had to wait. I was looking for the best strawberries then tried one and realized "hey these aren't sweet" i still got my items as I felt rushed to check out. it took me a while to get my right credit card bc the Apple Pay was not working when I knew I had available funds . I had to try a different tender where I had to transfer money so that took extra moments. On top of this delay, The associate made me feel super uncomfortable as she was sighing and rolling her eyes even my younger sister observed . There was no sense of customer service or empathy as I was already under pressure my first tender didn't work. She wanted to swipe my card for me as she was rushing I told her I would do it as I was trying to ensure my card was ok bc i planned to use it for other purchases . I ask for her to please print my receipt when I saw she rolled her eyes I just left the receipt on the counter as I couldn't believe the blatant attitude when I'm always conscious of having to deal w the matters of my payment like what a way to magnify problems w/ my payment that she show insensitivity. I sit down to enjoy my foyo with my sister and then another girl approaches me. She attempts to salvage the experience which ends in her catching an attitude wanting to go back in forth with me in front of my teenage sister who I'm trying to teach problem solving skills and to not be a sassy girl to rise above just to observe this encounter. I did not appreciate her being combative yelling at me to have a nice day as the experience tonight drove me to throw away my ice a cream and leave bc I'm trying to teach my sister not to go back and forth w/ others over trivial matters. There was a sense of entitlement and trying to demonstrate authority over pride . Not worth it . I will go licky split which is closer to me and share my experience w/ others about forever yogurt so they don't have to experience what I did . I asked for district contact manger said it was franchise that I could have the owners number . Just be aware young sassy attitude if you don't meet their status quo.

The shop is small, so be prepared to pack in close. I did notice they have some nice outdoor seating for warmer weather as well. The service was great once we got inside. The staff was helpful and attentive. I also truly appreciate that they tried to help accommodate my senior mother who uses a walker. However, on that note, I would advise caution to people with assistive devices. I understand the location is a landmark and am glad it is there. I would like to see them make accessibility accommodations. There is only one door and it is revolving. We had to try and struggle with my mom's walker to get in. The staff was helpful with the door when we left. I think they would benefit from a bell at the door for people who need help.

It was pricey but enough for 2 people to share. Metered parking on a weekend evening was easy. My only complaint is that it had a strange, unpleasant smell inside (we were there in the evening during the weekend of April 25th). Also, when I came a few years ago, it had a really cozy, welcoming vibe packed with comfy couches. Now, it just looks like basic tables and plastic chairs, lacking comfort, character, and charm. I'm hoping to return to try the sweet potato latte and the other shaved ices, but I hope they do something about the smell and make the space feel more cozy and inviting.

And we certainly are glad we did...it was delicious!! While Ghirardelli Chocolate was founded in San Francisco in 1852, Chicago is fortunate to have a vibrant and welcoming shop where any visitors can indulge in the ultimate chocolate experience whether purchasing chocolate gifts or placing an order at their made in-house restaurant upstairs. They make decadent hot fudge sundaes with handmade hot fudge made fresh daily from Ghirardelli Chocolate along with a sample signature chocolate square. This particular store is open on Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 9 PM, Friday from 11 AM to 10 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 9 PM. I jumped at ordering a Classic Hot Cocoa, which offers a luxuriously deep chocolate flavor that comes through their beverage while topped with whipped cream and dusted with cocoa powder. It was served with a milk chocolate caramel Ghirardelli square. They also served shakes, coffee drinks, and more along with their huge chocolate Pick & Mix selection (where you choose your own flavors), chocolate gifts, chocolate bars, and chocolate gift bags. Go to their website (https://www.ghirardelli.com) and sign up for their e-mail newsletter to receive 15% off an order while also receiving e-mails with special offers. Another deal is that you can get free standard shipping on orders of $75 or more. I'm already dreaming of my next Ghirardelli made in-house beverage and chocolate square. Yum!!!

It's a fairly enormous concoction. I found it interesting that the hot fudge was served on the side, but it's actually pretty smart because you get control how much (or how little) sauce you get. The ice cream is the highlight. It's creamy and rich, and it's got a really nice flavor, too. The hot fudge was less impressive, but that might be because I had already eaten a Ghirardelli sundae earlier in the day and their hot fudge just can't be beat. It didn't really come together as a unified dessert for me. I wanted the brownie to be richer, fudgier, maybe even a bit sweeter. I would probably get something else next time.
