Delicious but unfortunately it gave me and my boyfriend food poisoning in Valentine's Day. After 3 hours it was all bad.

Made a last minute reservation for a large group on a Thursday night. The hostess was very kind in doing her best to accommodate our request on short notice. Unlike other restaurants, Forge does not have a limit of how long you can stay at your table. So unfortunately, on a very cold day, the table inside we would have been seated at still had guests that had been there for over two hours (I only know this because I had called 2 hrs before we arrived). We ordered 8 pizzas and some appetizers. The appetizers were great! Pizza was O.K. I expected more from a pizza in this area given accessibility to fresh ingredients. I had the Mediterranean pizza and also tried the cheese pizza. My guests tried a variety and enjoyed the meat lovers but said that the taco pizza wasn't so great. The ingredients on the Mediterranean were good and so was the sauce. However, the crust was slightly soggy, I was excited for a wood fired pizza, but this one felt rushed. It would be great to have more meatless options available on the menu. My favorite thing I ate was cheese curds and buffalo cauliflower! I did appreciate the server offering to split the bill with food on one tab and alcohol on the other. She was very easy going and friendly. Tips for coming here: order your pizza well done, modify red pizzas if you don't eat meat. read more

I've never been to a restaurant and turned away because they were short staffed. Lol. If you're too short staffed that you turn people away, you might as well close for the day, in my opinion. My family and I showed up here on Memorial Day for lunch to celebrate my birthday. We've been here before and enjoyed the food and wanted something laid back so we decided on the Forge. When we first walked in, another man turned to me and told us that we'd be waiting awhile because they were short staffed - he was there for 20 minutes picking up a door dash order. I assumed it would just take awhile to be seated. I've worked as a waitress before and I know what's it like to be short staffed and busy. But 1) there wasn't very many people dining in the restaurant & 2) we weren't in any hurry. So I stood and waited for a host/hostess to acknowledge me. But we stood at the hostess stand for some time before someone finally asked how they could help us. I asked how long the wait would be for a party of 9. The guy responded, "let me ask if we can accommodate you guys first". Anyway, he came back and told us our party was too large for the amount of staff they had on a front end and that they wouldn't seat us. Super dog friendly restaurant and bar. Staff loved my little pooch and gave him a biscuit and a bowl of water. They have a great selection of beers on tap. Mostly local breweries and had a good variety of types. Had one of their brews and a cocktail called Sugar Daddy which was a pineapple drink with rum and tequila. Great! Truffle fries were great. Comes in a small bucket. But plenty of it. Nice and crisp, and not burnt. No small pieces either. I hate when you're left with end pieces. Had the mushroom pizza. Comes with sausage. Can definitely make this a personal pizza but easy to share with another. Will come back because of the nice outdoor seating, dog friendly staff and their beers are great! read more

We are spending Valentine's Day weekend in Napa and are happy to see that restaurants in this county are open once again for outdoor seating and taking reservations! For a Friday night the outdoor patio Forge Pizza was busy but seating it's patrons well within social distance guidelines and although it was a cold evening, they were prepared to have heaters at each table. Our server Bryan was very friendly and courteous and wore a mask the entire time he tended to our needs. We took his suggestions for appetizers and they did not disappoint. Just went there today. 1) That plaza seem to be a new area. Parking lot look clean and nice and next to the Napa river. 2) Decor is very nice, modern look and has out door seating, will be nice to sit outside in summer. Today, is November, kind of cold. I sit inside. 3) Today, I went for happy hours. It is very good deal. Order, cheese curds, meat ball appetizer, mushroom pizza and mandarin orange salad, and chocolate mousse and one beer. The bill is around $60 before tip. It is very good deal. Feed 3 persons. 4) The pizza is very good, almost like pizza in Rome. I have been to Italy multiple times. *COVID Review On a search to satisfy a huge pizza craving (yes...I get those!), hubby and I stumbled upon this gem! Mask required and social distancing enforced. Very friendly service, and your choice of indoor or outside seating. Modern decor within a large open space, very cool for groups and social gatherings. We had the crispy calamari to start (very good) and went on to one of the signature pizza options. Wood fire forged pizza with all fresh and tasty ingredients! My hubs and our 1 yo son came to Forgre on a Sunday about 5pm looking forward to our favorite west coast pizza joint! Little did we know that they don't really want to seat families with young children in strollers or needing a highchair. The host offers us a tucked away little table, stating that they chair or stroller is a fire hazzard. Ironically, the last time we dined here, the host just removed a chair from a 4 top so that we could comfortably set the highchair and then enjoy our dinner. My hubs was so annoyed that we just left, but I did let them know that their lack of hospitality has forever ruined Forge for us. Nice atmosphere and great for families! Especially kids who are use to places like pizza hut and dominos. For food connoisseurs its well below the bar of SF pizza restaurants like Delfina, Montesacro, or Napa's Azzuros. Its kind of like a sudo Italian pizza. The fresh mozz and basil are the, along with the dough, but the sauce is tasteless and the implementation is wrong. Its more like Mod pizza. Also the fries were soggy and well below the bar of Super Burger. The cheese sticks were not good and were breaded like the worst pizza places would do. It seems a way to cut cost on cheese in a way that makes my $17 cheese sticks instant landfill. The dog wasn't even interested. Maybe Forge is catering to kids which would make more sense of the chefs implementation decisions. In which case. Great! Awesome place! This was originally launched in Oakland. I saw this while going to South Napa Century Center. It's in a newer building, the entrance features an art peice, the decor is very modern, there's a fire hearth, a big television airing sports, and stunning patio. I do like the atmosphere here. It's Pizza time. Today, I went with The Philly. It have garlic purée, steak, onion, bell pepper, cheddar cheese, mozzarella, and cilantro. This isn't exactly like a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwhich, but I had to get it. I had a few versions of this Pizza out there, and some of them weren't executed successfully as intended. I was excited to give this a go. The Pizza looks better than expected. It was really hot. The bell pepper really brightened it up. The dough was chewy, but not too chewy. I liked the crust. Everything worked harmoniously together. They got some points for creativity. This is one of the best Pizzas in the Bay Area scene. I give this 4.3 stars. read more

After a very long day's drive, my companion and I had a delicious pizza dinner at Forge. Cole, our server, was attentive and accommodated our food requests. The pizza was delicious, although the crust could have been a tad crisper. We took leftovers with us. The salad was more than enough for two. If you think, as did I, that Forge is only about pizza are you in for a HUGE, DELIGHTFUL surprise. While it does have pizza, not like the pizza at Mountain Mike's or other well-known pizza places, its menu boasts other offerings that are downright tasty-licious. Our group of four began with two appetizers; the buffalo cauliflower that was served tossed in buffalo sauce, and the truffle fries. Both were excellent. As a main dish, I had the chicken tenders with fries, my husband had the grilled cheese with tomato and a salad, and the couple that joined us - one had the angry shrimp (he said it was delicious) and the other had a pizza (sorry I don't remember what kind but she loved it). I have never had chicken tenders so tender (really) and flavorful; the best I've ever had. My husband's grilled cheese was done to perfection. The service was excellent and I can't wait to return. Pizza was very good. Service good. Only reason for 4-5 is the acoustics were poor (ie place was loud).

First of all, the service was great. The boneless chicken wings were tasty. It had meaty, juicy parts and crispy crunchy parts to it which I throughly enjoyed. The only thing I didn't care for was I prefer my wings to be drenched in sauce and these just weren't, also the ranch wasn't great. It was very watery and thin. The pizza crust is thin and soft. The outer crust had a crispness to it. The pepperoni tasted great, and the cheese was interesting in a good way, I don't think they used Mozzarella. The pizza tasted even better when I added red pepper flakes and some of the ranch. (I don't care for it but somehow this combination worked for me) The price of this place is a bit much but I can understand why because the overall vibe of this restaurant is "fancy pizza parlor." The pizza definitely tasted fancy and the flavors were unique which was cool for me because I love eating at places where I can experience something I eat often but with a twist. Forge Pizza provided one of the best casual dining experiences we've had in Napa. We stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon, and sat outside with our dog. My husband and I decided to split a beet salad and their pepperoni pizza lunch special. The lunch pizzas are the same size as their regular pizzas - less toppings is the only difference. We LOVED the beet salad. It was fresh, tangy and generously sized. Perfect to share as an appetizer or for one person as a main course. Our pizza arrived shortly after - it was also quite yummy! Came by myself and been ignored for 15 min... By two servers... It's not even very busy they just don't care to come over and ask. I was seated outside and there's only one other table. Not busy at all. Just lazy workers. Had to go to the bar myself to order a drink and they still didn't apologize. Pizza here is excellent. Please note that I haven't had anything other then the pizza here. There is happy hour all day on Monday (other days are between 3-5pm). Pizza then is only $14 each and it is excellent value. The pizza is cooked Neopolitan style and the texture and taste is excellent. Every time we have been there, the service was excellent. First time here with the boo after stopping by CREAM next door. We were greeted right away and got sat within a couple minutes. The inside reminded me of a yard house or a BJs restaurant but I did like how they had an outdoor patio with games. They have plenty of seating and tables for big parties which was nice. We ordered the Brussel sprouts starter which I thought tasted great but the pizza in my opinion is super overrated. We were greeted by our server five minutes after sitting down which wasn't bad. We ordered the Mediterranean pizza with an egg for $21 and was nothing special to basic pizza places we've been to. Our food took over 25 minutes to come out and the restaurant was less than half full. One side of the pizza was burnt and there were some toppings you couldn't even taste. The service was less than acceptable. Our server dropped off our food and didn't check on us once or bother to refill our drinks. We had to find her and leave our table to ask for boxes and the check. On a positive note, parking wasn't an issue plus it's right next to the a movie theatre and other restaurants. The ratings below are for a pickup order. Let me start off by providing some constructive criticism and then highlight some excellent aspects of Forge. With regards to areas for improvement, service could be improved, I called several time on the phone to order, each time I was asked to hold briefly, and then ended up being on hold for more than 10 minutes (not an exaggeration) and even once I was able to speak with the hostess, I did not have the most pleasant experience. With regards to the food, we got Mediterranean and three cheese pizza, both were nepolitan and tasted well overall with good sauce and crust. Lastly, to highlight the best aspect of Forge, the ambience and location are great. Forge is located in South Napa in a complex with multiple other restaurants nearby and a movie theater in close proximity. And, inside, the restaurant has a great, modern feel! read more

Napa surprisingly doesn't have great pizza. Forge, Live Fire, and now Scala's are probably the best options in the city. Scala's is a little pricey and is a more upscale restaurant. Live fire is more of a stall at oxbow than a real restaurant. Forge fills the gap in a city that does not have a lot of nice casual options. (Things are often fast food or leaning more upscale, with little between). The bar is a very easygoing environment. Prices are fair, and the happy hour is pretty good. They only have one tv at the bar and the bartenders usually have to be told what game should be on. I do like this pizza a lot. The crust is light and easy to digest and the toppings are decent quality. $15 for a margherita and a beer at happy hour! read more

Forge is a solid addition to the pizza scene in Napa. Their pies are good, and fall into similar terrain as those you would find at Live Fire, Ca Momi, or Velo. Good char on thin crust pies, with quality ingredients in terms of toppings. And unlike other places *cough Ca Momi cough* they will cut your pizza AND let you have red pepper flakes. Score. Right now, they are in my top 5 pizza spots in Napa, and that's a pretty exclusive list. Additionally, they have a great little area out back for cornhole games, excellent appetizers (get the cheese curds), and a nice little bar. Show up during happy hour and get yourself a PBJ (Pizza / Beer / Shot of Jameson) for $15 -- can't go wrong with that. It's noisy, but overall I'm a fan. read more

I ate at Forge Pizza about every other Monday in summer 2018. Forge is in Napa in a new & busy plaza. Forge have a wonderful special menu on Mondays & it's all day happy hour on Monday. That combo is right up my alley. So why didn't I go every Monday? I know, right?! All day Monday they have one special that I really enjoy: the "PB & J". It is a Margherita pizza, draught beer of your choice, and a shot of Jamison whiskey. That's a great deal! Forge Pizza makes great tasting food! Reasonable prices. Full bar and separate bar seating. Outside there is a large open area with fresh air, benches and tables, umbrellas and corn hole games. Heat lamps for those chilly nights. Kids really like going outside also, cuz sandy area where they can run, shout and play. Adults enjoy a cocktail & watching their kids goof around ;- Free parking available in a plaza parking lot, (you know, with curbs, light poles, multiple lanes and traffic control). For autos, that means 1 way into lot & only 2 exits out. Forge's kitchen is half open, customers can see into the kitchen from waist up. I've seen the same staff over & over again. I'm thinking it must be a good place to work! Staff have always been nice & pay attention to customers requests. I never feel rushed to hurry. I've pleasantly enjoyed my times at Forge.
