Pretty good place! I've dined in once, and had takeout from here a few times. Their chicken nuggets are super delicious. More like chicken strips, with good seasoning on the outside. Sandwiches basically all come on a pita bread (at least so far as I've tried!). Make sure you order something with sauce, it can get a little dry if there isnt any sauce on the sammies. They also fill their beers from the bottom, which is kind of a novelty I think? Not sure on the exact purpose or benefit but the pint glasses all have a hole on the bottom and a reminder to not poke it! read more

We've tried this pub a handful of times. Food and service have always been average. Menu is limited and consists mainly of variations of pulled chicken on naan, but they have a great deck and the view of Lake Michigan is killer. So, on a nice warm Spring day we decided to give it another try. Our server started out and remained impatient and downright rude (Jen), not really sure why because in spite of her forgetting drinks several times, freaking out when we asked to include an order to go, and having an all around bad attitude, we remained kind and polite during the whole meal. The mac n' cheese was topped with cold pulled chicken (yuk) as were warm nachos. Busy day at work and was feeling too lazy to cook. I had heard great things from my neighbors so decided to give it a try. I'm really glad we did! Masks are required to enter but you can remove once seated. They also have a great patio with a wonderful view of the harbor. Staff was all masked and tables were spaced out. Food was fantastic! Great selection! Actually so good we just rested way too much food as we just couldn't decide. The wings were so nice and crispy and the sauce selection was great! We went with the dill pickle aioli and buffalo. Both were great! The poutine potato skins were delicious. All the goodness of poutine in an easy to eat potato skin. Reuben fries were crispy and topped with sour kraut, chunks of corned beef and thousand island dressing. Brussels sprouts were fried crispy and tossed in an Asian sesame sauce...you could also get it other sauces. We got a side salad too which was fresh and delicious. Tap beers are filled from the bottom on of the glass hence the don't poke the hole coasters. If you poke the hole in the bottom of the glass, it may leak. Service was great! Dining area was clean. What a big disappointment! The food was way overpriced for what you received and totally underwhelming. They also did not include any sides, like fries, with the sandwiches. That was an extra charge, of course. The sandwiches were nothing like the pictures on the site and more bread than meat. The metal high top chairs were very uncomfortable, and the waitstaff was indifferent at best. I asked for mustard, which came in a small cup, and when my friend asked for ketchup - a bottle of generic ketchup was handed to him. When I looked at my bill, I was charged 50 cents for the mustard, so I asked the waitress about it, and she said it's because they make all their own "sauces!" I told her it tasted like French's yellow mustard, and she just walked away. Since when are condiments considered sauces? My friend was not charged for the generic ketchup, however. We will definitely not be going back, and we will advise others not to waste their hard-earned money there either. read more

Friday Fish Fry... We went to Fork and Tap for the first time this past Friday. Great looking restaurant overlooking the harbor. We were seated immediately, and our server was one of the best. We started with drinks, and the four of us chose Rueben Fries app. A little heavy on the sauce but they were really good! Three of us ordered the potato chip crusted cod fish fry and one pulled pork sandwich. I'm not kidding when I say I could only eat 2 bites of fish and a few potatoes. The cod was not even close to fresh...tasted fishy and dry. The potato chip breading was so salty, again couldn't eat even more than two bites of this fish. The potatoes looked great and was hoping they were good, but again, way over salted, and the garlic was so intense that between the salt and garlic, I couldn't eat those either. Server noticed that we hardly ate any fish and we told her why. The manager did come over to ask if we wanted anything else. We decided to chalk it up to the worst fish fry ever and to just move on and don't have the fish there again! That is, until 3 days later, I am still sick with lots of intestinal distress and my other two fish eaters that night were sick for about 36 hours. So...not sure I would ever go again and I will probably call the Fork and Tap and find out why the food was inedible and made us sick. Did not want to cause a scene in the restaurant. Stopped here after a long day of festivals and hiking along the Lake Michigan shores. Place was busy but after a short wait, we were seated. The waitresses were super friendly, attentive, welcoming. Menu selection is awesome, we all had no problems finding something we wanted. Appetizers were generous, hot and delicious. Sandwiches and flatbread were also excellent. Drinks reasonably priced. We had an awesome meal at Fork and Tap. The location is wonderful, we ate on the back patio and it was great seating and view. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and helpful as we had two small kids with us. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had the tempura cauliflower (delicious), potatoes skins (amazing). I had a pork sandwich and my wife the vegan sandwich both were awesome. The kids meal mac and cheese was really good we all are it. The chicken nuggets were some of the best we have had. I think the location must be the only thing that draws people to Fork & Tap. It is right on the lake which is probably nice in the summer but besides that, on a culinary side, I won't be coming back. The service was fine in my opinion, we had no problems at all with that. However, the food is underwhelming while being overpriced and that is not a combo that is desirable. The appetizers were probably the best part of the whole meal (wings). The fries were also pretty good and I like the selection of different sauces they have. That covers the good things. The meat on the sandwiches were dry which made the sandwiches themselves very dry and a little bland. The bread is a weird version of a folded flatbread which was not great either. They were just average honestly. The meal was very forgettable and meh. The sandwiches were like $13. They were not that big and they don't even come with any side (chips, fries, tots, etc.) you have to pay extra if you want a side. And since the sandwiches are so dry, you could order some sauces on the side to dip the sandwich in to try to make it less dry..... except for the fact that the sauces are literally $1 extra PER SAUCE. That is just absurd. How am I going to pay $1 for a side of ranch and $1 for a side of aioli??? Especially when you basically need the extra sauce for the dry sandwich and/or for the fries (if you pay for the fries on the side, they don't come with any sauce). Honestly that part kind of left me bitter about the whole experience but honestly the food wasn't good and if I were back in the Port Washington area in the future I'd steer clear of Fork & Tap. read more

Split and appetizer of the Bacon Maple cheese dip. Came piping hot with a BIG bowl of crispy toasted baguette slices. Very good! The dip had many layers of flavor to it. We were very excited for our main dish. The waitress said that they are known for their Chicken Sandwiches Sinai ordered The Mess. Very bland. I don't know how. The pulled rotisserie chicken was juicy and tender but no flavor. Same with the onions and mushrooms, just no flavor. The provolone and horseradish aioli were no help. The "chicken au jus" aka chicken broth just made the bread dissolve. All their chicken sandwiches are served on a flatbread style bread. It made it very messy to eat. The middle just spilled out. He ordered an Asian flatbread and gave it a rating of good. For a lunch that started out so strong it ended on a low note. Probably will not return. read more

Love having gluten free options especially GF breading but found everything oddly bland and sweet (even the smashed potatoes). The fish texture was great though. You can get any of the dishes on the menu as a sandwich, salad or on top of fries. Mind blown! Went to the Fork & Tap with a larger group. The said we would be seated in about 15 or 20 minutes well about 45 minutes later I asked if we could sit down at two or three different tables. They accommodated us. It is understandable that a larger group will have difficulty in being seated. I had a Banh-Mi pork sandwich on their specialty bread which is a cross between Naan & pita bread. I was not impressed with the bread however, the filling in the sandwich was tasty but not enough but it could have had more sauce. The other people that we were with ordered some other items like regular pulled pork sandwich and flatbread. The person who ordered the flatbread wanted a side of marinara. And The person who ordered the pork sandwiches wanted a little extra barbecue sauce because it was dry. When the bill came the restaurant charged for the sauces two dollars for the marinara and one dollar for the barbecue sauce. It is becoming more common for restaurants to charge for sauces however, I think it would be incumbent upon the server let us know that there would be a charge for extra sauce. Also the sandwiches and perhaps the flatbread should've had more sauce to begin with because they were dry. I have to say the server was excellent in the outside patio was very nice. read more

Have always enjoyed this place but today the attitude of one of the workers, likely the manager in charge, may keep us away. We wanted outside seating. Was told 45 min wait even though only 3 tables outside had people seated and only 2 tables inside were full Then The umbrellas were removed due to wind. It was 90 degrees and sunny. When we asked for a table in the shade we were told no due to it being a bigger table and there were just 2 of us. We were seated in the sun when there was a small table available in the shade. When we asked for that table we were told "let's make this your last move". All that we wanted was shade. Food and our server was fine. Don't need attitude. Great location with outdoor seating and a view of the harbor. The Iroquois ave flatbread had a viscous consistency and was too sweet for my taste. The pork sandwich was lacking flavor. This might be a place I would consider for a beer and a side of Brussel sprouts, but apprehensive about trying another sandwich. It would be great to see some a couple signature salad options for this classy looking restaurant. We were seated immediately, however it was a few minutes before we seen a server. loved! modern bar & restaurant made from their initial food truck. menu is filled with different sandwiches that you can also make into a salad or on top of fries for a poutine effect. their menu is dominated by chicken sandwiches so that's what I had to go for. the greenback was awesome -- had an unusual spicy pesto esque sauce they called Florentine, and I really enjoyed the little pita the sandwich was made on. fries were lightly seasoned on the side and they had many fun sauces you could dip them in. my boyfriend had the mother clucker as a salad which he enjoyed and the asian style brussel spouts which were a need to get, they were delicious. bar has many local favorite beers on tap and in can. would definitely recommend ... A modern, cute, clean restaurant near the marina. You can see the lake but you're not on the lake. We sat on the patio. If you are afraid of or allergic to wasps DO NOT SIT ON THE PATIO! The wasps were flying all around the tables, landing on our sandwiches and crawling into people's drinks. The restaurant had wasp traps hanging on the patio rail so they know they have a problem. You are able to sit inside. The food wAs expensive and not very good. For $14.50 I had a Cuban sandwich. I thought it would come on a bun but it came on a thick folded flatbread. The meat was cold and not enough sauce. I ordered bbq sauce and it helped a little. No sides included not even a pickle spear. So just a sandwich on a plate. The waitress was friendly but slow. The bathroom was clean with a "whatever" sign on the door rather than Men or Women. I was ok with that but there were no paper towels so I had to use toilet paper to dry my hands. Second visit and still unimpressed. First visit was when the restaurant first opened for business, and I wrote it off as learning experience. I first called to ask for pick up and was told no pick up available on weekends, must come in and place order. Understandable, post COVID most places are struggling to find help and sometimes some services just can't be offered. That aside, we got to the restaurant and were greeted nicely, offered menus and placed orders for drinks while we waited to place our food order. When ready to order, the bartender came over and began taking our order. After each sandwich order, he offered the five sides they have as options, and asked which were prefer. He didn't say "would you like a side with that" which would indicate to me that they are not included(my bad, I didn't read the small writing on the menu), but instead he said "do you want fries, Brussels sprouts, sweet potato fries, etc.." so we got sides with our five sandwiches to go. Sandwiches were so-so but not worth $13+ for just a sandwich, no pickle, no garnish...nothing. Awkward. I would say that for $17 for a sandwich and a side , I would pass next time. read more

My wife and I decided to try this for the first time. We are local to the area and heard good things about Fork n Tap. Saturday's are busy for us so we decided to order carryout. We placed an order to be picked up at 12:40. When arriving at the restaurant I was told by the bartender that the order would still be a minute and that they were backed up. No big deal. While I sat at the bar and waited there was another customer who came and picked up their carryout order so I was beginning to wonder if they had forgotten about my order. After a few minutes the bartender came back and said the order was not ready and offered me a drink. With my family waiting in the car I had to get going so I declined. A few minutes later passed and the bartender came back with a $10 gift card which was a very nice gesture but honestly I value quality and service over discounts. The bartender finally came with the order and thanked me before I left. Be careful with the aluminum to go boxes-they are sharp when you go to unpack. I would recommend eco-friendly paper to-go products as they are good for the environment and much more consumer friendly. Food was ok but the carryout operations need some attention. read more
