We had three fish fry dinners. Service was slow. Food was at best - ok. Restaurant was crowded, children were running around. Tables were on top of each other. I was crammed into a corner so I quickly paid and just left. Looked at the credit card bill and it did not make sense. Bill was $79.31. I called to ask why 3 x $15 fish fry and three sodas adds up to $80. I called several times and could not speak to anyone. so I left a detail message with date, time, receipt number, etc.. Garbage- if you're not a Wisconsin local don't waste your time. Dozens of tables open, "45 minute wait". The last time I ate there the food was excellent but their service is awful. Disappointing Experience - We Won't Be Back My husband and I had dined at this place a couple of times years ago, and honestly, I was never a big fan to begin with. The place has always felt like a worn-down, dusty, outdated spot that's clinging to the "supper club" title without deserving it. Still, we decided to give it another chance and made a reservation for 5:00 PM. From the start, the experience was underwhelming. We were seated at a tiny table all the way in the back, which felt more like a dungeon than part of a dining room. I asked politely if we could move to a small table near the window, but was told it was reserved for someone who had specifically requested it. Fine, we stayed put. The food? It was just okay--nothing memorable or worth writing home about. Then came the bill. As soon as our waitress brought it, another young staff member swooped in to grab it before we even had a chance to look at it. I told her we weren't ready, but it felt rushed and pushy. Also, be aware: if you pay by card, there's an extra charge. Nobody informs you of this--it's something we only knew from a previous visit. We decided to order after-dinner drinks to enjoy a few more minutes. But at exactly 6:15 PM--just one hour and fifteen minutes after we were seated--the owner came over to tell us that our table was needed for another reservation. He didn't ask--he told us, flatly stating that there's a 90-minute time limit per table, then shrugged and said, "It's Saturday..." as if that justified the rude dismissal. We were shocked. It was a not-so-subtle way of telling us to get out so they could turn the table and make more money. Needless to say, we left immediately and won't be coming back. A truly disappointing experience--unwelcoming, rushed, and nowhere near worth the price or the attitude. There are plenty of better restaurants that understand hospitality. Entered thru what I thought was an entrance and it was into the car section of the restaurant. It was an entrance but unexpected. Game was on an it was crowded. I thought I have a king wait but was promptly given a cozy table in the back section of the restaurant. My server Ashley was there with a menu and a nice friendly hello In less thank a minute. Asked for my usual Corona and it arrived nice and cold in a flash. Looked over the menu, and went with the Prime Rib , and mushroom with a baked Potato as recommended by Jennifer from the Hampton Inn. ( another helpful lady) Salad showed up fast, finished it another cordial gal cleared and I waited a few minutes for the main course! I met my mom here for lunch on a Saturday right around noon. It was packed. There were no mask requirements and staff and patrons were all unmasked. We were seated in the bar area. Our waitress was very friendly and pretty efficient, seeing as she was tending to all the tables in the bar. We ordered Bloody Marys. They were advertised as a Saturday special, but we were charged $2 extra per drink. The flavor was decent. We ordered sandwiches - the veggie for me and the Rueben for my mother. We also paid an upcharge to get shoestring onion rings. The onion rings were good, although several approached standard onion ring size and not technically shoestring. Mom said her Rueben was good. My veggie sandwich was not good. The flavor was bland, with most of it just tasting like the Swiss cheese. The portabellas and peppers seemed to be canned or maybe from frozen, but definitely not fresh. The bottom of my bun was squishy and spongey and soggy. Yuck. After hearing mixed reviews we decided to try this supper club out. Mediocre at best. My prime rib was ordered medium rare but it was very, very rare. And not very tender. The French onion soup was ok not great. My husband had fried shrimp and fries and also said it was just ok. The table next to us sent one of their dinners back. They were very busy so they def have a fan base but we won't be going back. I have heard complaints from other people as well. read more

I've only been here once and we came at peak time. Friday Fish Fry during Lent. They actually had a table for us at the time we called in for and seated us. It was what we were looking for. It felt very old school in here with older like decor and small/cozy feeling within. It's the type of place that you kind of feel like everyone knows everyone when you first come in, because they kind of peek at you when you walk in through the door. It's all good though, unless you have some complex and you'r not comfortable with yourself . You walk into the bar first. The bar is full (small, cozy) and the tables are full if you go at peak time. People give you the glance of "never seen you here" but it's all good and you get the smile/wave... and move on your way. Kind of the Wisconsin way. We moved into the dining room. I was surprised how small it is but again: small/cozy. I liked it. Sat down, server was friendly and they had 3 different fish for the fish fry. All different ways to have it cooked. Different choices of potatoes (pancakes, fries, tatertot, baker...). and good drinks. We had brandy old fashioned with cherries. In short, we're coming back. Food was good. came for a fish fry after seeing some awesome reviews from onMilwaukee! this is your classic local tavern/restaurant ... you immediately feel like you're in rural WI at a local place. the restaurant was packed at 6:30 when we got there -- highly recommend a reservation! the fish fry surprisingly didn't have my go to cod, but I went with the haddock which I read was similar. our waitress recommended to get the beer battered because it's less thick than the breaded alternative. the fish was moist & decent sized pieces, I loved the coleslaw & the fries were simple but classic. my biggest feedback was that the portions were actually a bit small -- I would have never thought I needed to do this for my average appetitive but would highly recommend getting the extra piece! there also seemed to be some awesome dessert options (didn't get, but was definitely intrigued)! read more

Easily one of the worst establishments I've ever been to. It smells musty, everything feels dirty inside and the food is some of the worst I've ever had. I ordered the broiled haddock, with a baked potato and salad to go. The potato and salad were both inedible and I made my own at home when I got there. They also didn't include tartar sauce with the fish. The fish was ok but dry. My boyfriend's mozzarella sticks were somehow the most bland, disgusting ones we've ever had. I am not sure how you can mess up mozz sticks but here we are. Please don't waste your time or money here! read more

Older, local hang out type of restaurant with a hard working staff. We stopped in slightly after the dinner hour and found tons of people leaving which must mean, good food! We found an empty high top in the bar area and were greeted quickly by the waitress. She took our drink orders, 2 Spotted Cow beers and was back in a flash! There were a few specials, but we opted to just try some apoetizers. The fried pickles were cut in spears and breaded to perfection. What a cool little old WI supper club! We went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and drinks after going to Costco. We met the owners, along with some others at the bar and it was great. Yes, the drinks are strong but this is Wisconsin! The bar has been around for a very long time and still hold the history/charm. It's home style Wisconsin cooking, with a new special every night depending on the chefs mood! They have a classic WI bar area and a formal dining room. The portions are large and generous, the staff is friendly, and the menu has choices for all. Next time we go back up to Grafton, we will be stopping by! read more

Great food and service. The only issue we had was tonight, New Years Eve. When we made the reservation, no one mentioned they had a special menu for the night. A menu where the cheapest thing was $27 and it was all seafood, steak, and chicken with seafood on it. We had someone with us who unfortunately couldn't afford it, and none of the food appealed to them. Had we known, we'd have waited to take them there on a regular day. For two people, one beer and a piece of cake, it was almost $100, and we were expecting to spend about $40. My boyfriend and I are staying in Port Washington. We saw this bar and knew we had to stop. Not only because of the name but because it's in Grafton. My boyfriend works on a boat at home. He travels to Grafton, MO. Which made it a MUST for us to stop at while here. We walked in and it was busy. Go Badgers! We found a table in the bar. Our waitress came over and took our drink order. I got a Bloody Mary and he ordered an iced tea. While we looked over the menu we opted for the Juice's Special. The Bloody Mary was excellent. Just the right amount of spice! The Juice's special did not disappoint. Those mozzarella sticks were the creamiest and best I have ever had. Our total bill for my drink, Juice's special, iced tea and a tee shirt was $35. After we checked in for our overnight stay in Grafton we didn't have to look far for dinner. We had been intrigued by a sign we had seen as we were turning in towards our hotel -Ghost Town. We could barely make out what it hung over till we returned to the intersection a while later and made it a destination. It was an old fashioned road house era dinner/bar. The dining areas are broke up into small dining rooms which makes it more intimate but beware its definitely casual and informal and it's no ghost town. We liked it for what it is- service was friendly, food was old supper club menu and not a chain!!! We did see families dining in as we passed to our table. Don't pass this place up if you are in the area... soak up some of the vibes you will find as you read its history. Several local, several from elsewhere & a couple macro ( big name beers that I dont care to drink). Almost evetybidy was local as they seemed to be on a first name basis with the barmaid and each other. They have a wide variety of appetizers. Had the wings. They were real good. Wondered about the bacon & cheese lump. Sounded pretty good. Didnt have time for dinner as wife & I were headed to see my daughter play college hockey nearby. They are known for their steaks, seafood and especially their prime rib. They have a sandwich called the Norb steak sandwich that needs to be tried next time Im here. The worst dinning we have had at a restaurant. We went for a fish fry and sat at the bar table, we were able to be seated quicker if we sat at the bar table instead of waiting for a table in the dinning room. The local patrons at the bar were very intoxicated and loud- very unpleasant while trying to eat. Our waitress (I think her name was Kim) was extremely rude, and made us feel unwanted. She completely for got about us, we waited forever for drinks, food and the bill. I was watching the other servers and they were much more attentive. If we knew our waitress was going to be so bad, we would have waited to have another server. The food was ok, but nothing spectacular. Not good enough for us to go back with such bad service.
