This is one of the worst places I have ever been too. The staff was bad and when I told them 2 people in my party didnt eat cause the food was bad. They explained that whenever you walked in the door they automatically charge you. Definitely not a good place. Never again. HORRIBLE charged me $71 for disgusting food. Didnt want to listen to why they didnt eat very rude and just a heads up they charge you for walking in the door as per the blonde at the register. The sushi was dry, the shrimp had no flavor, the stone crab was not cleaned well. VERY DISGUSTED!!! I love buffets but I definitely will be blogging about this place. This might be the best Chinese buffet in Toms River but unfortunately that doesn't say much. Anyone who says otherwise has lost their mind. There are many options but the food is often cold - and it looks it. I love crab legs so the idea of all you can eat is always good but good luck getting full. They are small and not full - probably the cheapest legs they can buy in bulk. Even worse, it's a fight to get them to restock them. People stand around and wait for them like vultures and then load up their plates with small skinny legs and then there's nothing left. We've seen the legs sitting there waiting in the back so I assume they put themselves on a timer to only bring small quantities out at a time so that people can't eat more than the price of their meals. Their service is beyond terrible. Not a single waiter or waitress has had more than a blank stare on their faces. They pretend to not understand you so that they don't have to be kind in any way. You constantly feel like a bother when you ask for a water refill. You have no choice but to just sit there and let your empty plates stack up until they decide to take them. Once you get in, now you're moving, but we waited for a long time (over 20 minutes). Some of the stuff is laying out a bit long under the lights, I opted for fresh fruit, soups, and some of the more well-known chinese fare. Service was quite attentive. I have to laugh at the cheesy "Happy Birthday" song they play overhead..it's worth a listen and then hold your ears. Try the Mongolian Buffet in the back, where they cook it for you. Went Jan 2 for dinner food was fresh staff with masks and gloves serving at stations, good size portions and can go back as many times as you want. Went there with friends for lunch. Food was all good and fresh. Waitress and Greeter were all very pleasant. Prices were reasonable and well affordable. The place was totally full, nice place to go. Upon walking in, I have to first state that since my last experience at this place (when I found a HUGE pile of hair in with the dumplings and swore I would never go back) it seemed it had improved, drastically. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was much better, and I was impressed. The food at the buffet, just from looking at it, "seemed" pretty fresh and eye-catching. The reason I went back is because my husband goes here quite often with his work crew and he loves it. Honestly, I was trying to please him, so we went. I started with the fried dumplings, dim sum, and crab Rangoon. Obviously, it's a cheap buffet, so don't expect any fresh fish items here. Everything is imitation or from a can. I doubt there was even any crab in the Rangoon, but it was crunchy and okay. The dumplings were cold on the outside and room temperature on the inside. The dim sum was hard on the outside (it's supposed to be a steamed dumpling with meat), and barely warm in the middle. I went back and grabbed some "fresh" shrimp and sushi. You could easily get better tasting sushi at a grocery store, not that I was expecting much-but it was not that great at all. The shrimp, when I tried to peel it, was VERY slimy, so I opted not to eat it, as that usually means its bad. The third plate I tried had General Tsos, Honey Chicken, Vegetable Lo Mein, Sweet & Sour Chicken and a spring roll. I have to say all of these items tasted fine, other than the Spring Roll, which was literally cold inside. I especially enjoyed the honey chicken, which was very crunchy and bite-sized. Lastly, I had the coffee flavored cake bite, jello, pudding and some kiwi. The kiwi was the most fresh thing I had during the entire lunch. The jello was literally so tough I almost spit it out. The pudding and the coffee flavored cake were both very good. I do want to say that the service here was excellent. They seem to have a great system in place that works. Our server checked on us very often and we were never without a full drink. However, other than the cheap price of their buffet, and the sake of my husband, I would probably never go back to this place. The food is just not good at all. I have also seen many say this place has great sushi. Please know these people cannot have ever tried real sushi before. It is ALL imitation fish or stuffed with cream cheese and cucumber. If you want to try real sushi, go to Xina at the end of 37 and you will never come to this sad establishment for sushi again. Just awful. read more

Well, for the everyday 'Chinese food' this buffet is not just the local grease stop. It is always FULL of many different foods from seafood, to traditional Cantonese food, to pizza and sushi. It is always well stocked, hot, and fresh. BBQ chicken and the bacon wrapped scallops are my favorite 'fast food' Chinese food. The inside is traditionally designed as you would find in most Cantonese places of business, but it is very open, comfortable and well proportioned. Plenty of seats, and tables. No alcohol, but the drink prices are included in the buffet which is quite reasonable! Service is very fast and friendly, and surprisingly not too much of a language barrier. No fine dining, but it is a great place to bring the kids, and have have a family dinner or maybe a pre-movie Tuesday night snack. read more

Went there with the family Monday night. Three out of the four of us like sushi, but I have a 9 year old that is picky, so the buffet is great for us. We were really disappointed by the lack of sushi out for us. No shrimp, no tuna, no salmon. I noticed a guy come up later and specifically ask for some tuna. The sushi guy pulls out this container full of it. Why wasn't it out on the trays? After we had eaten some sushi and I went up for some ice cream, I noticed there was maybe 20 sushi rolls out on a two plates. Really....this was at 7pm. My son got some fruit and the watermelon was not good. It was old. The rest of the food was okay.. The service was good. I doubt I'd go back for sushi. Me and my boyfriend went here to eat for a date. I was disappointed in the quality of the food. The sushi was horrible, it tasted like they grabbed any raw fish they could find and wrapped it poorly and carelessly in nori. There were 2 sushi chefs talking to each other and only 1-2 PIECES of sushi on the counter, no variety at all. Aside from the sushi the Mongolian BBQ was terrible. I gave the guy shrimp and the foe crab meat...he gave it back to me and shrimp was still raw inside. I put it right up to be taken away. Now the food out on the counters itself were disgusting. I do expect the food to not be as good as a real restaurant, but I didnt expect it to be as bad as it was. Most of the food had food from the tray next to it all over it, or even sometimes another counter! I was shocked to find a brown spec stuck to one of my shrimps, it honestly looks like they recycle food that they take from tables that don't finish. Almost every plate I grabbed from the counter had a piece of food stuck to it. I was looking forward to crab legs the most, I was upset to find little to no crab legs, and the entire time we were there, they didn't refill it. Most of the customers were walking around aimlessly looking for something good. Even now the food sits like a rock in my stomach. If you want to go for dinner get there around 3 or 4 if you can and tell them you're there for dinner. At this time the resturant is slow. About 3 months ago I went to the lunch buffet and over all I felt it was the typical Chinese buffet with a reasonable variety and with most items looking and tasting good. I left with a positive feeling toward the restaurant. I was close by again today and decided to once again partake. The selection of primary dishes had changed, many were hardly warm, items that should have been crisp were soggy and the food was blah. The price had gone up on top of that. Sure, there are numerous soups, plenty of sushi, and desserts/salad stuff, but the primary dishes are the big disappointment. I had originally thought about waiting for the dinner hour to enjoy snow crab, but because of cost and availability it is no longer served. So with that being the case, what do they serve for dinner that warrants a big jump in menu price considering most of the items for lunch will still be there?
