Just got a Door Dash from this place and can say in the most vociferous method of delivery that ... IT WAS AWFUL. I had 60 minutes to consume that disaster, however my culinary experience only required 5. I'm sure that this review will take longer in the composition than the food took in the consumption. Now ... to get to the issues .... It was a Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box, unfortunately sans the Teriyaki! It was supposed to be Teriyaki, it was advertised as Teriyaki, but it tuned out to primarily be a sodium overloaded coating of soy sauce. Sadly, the chicken it covered did not even give the sauce salvation, for it was tasteless (save the salt), and bordering dry. I say bordering because there was juice, however that might have been the residue from the poor quality soy sauce mixture that drizzled down into the crevices from the top. The Miso Soup was just water with some (I guess seaweed) and chunks of tofu ... but even the seaweed didn't even give it any flavor. Then there was the container that it came in which would not close once opened. I had to wrap Saran Wrap around the thing and then place something heavy on top so that a co-worker wouldn't knock it over while reaching for something nutritious. Someone might look at this review and say that's all, it was only 3 things ... however as I said earlier the rest of my lunchtime is about to conclude and only have 60 minutes. read more

I found this place over a year ago. They are my go-to sushi spot. I appreciate that they a small business, and deliver to East Oakland. Because of where I live, some businesses don't deliver. Their food usually sent warm and fresh. They have just the right amount of spices in most of the their meals. Most dishes are good, and I recommend the rolls over the noodle dishes. Similar to Alex T's statement, this is also my go-to restaurant when I just want something close-by and eat at home. They're conveniently located on Fruitvale and they're connected with EAT24. I usually order for pickup through Eat24 and my go-to orders include the sesame chicken and honey walnut shrimp. If you're looking for quality Chinese food, then this isn't the restaurant for you. However, if you're looking for FAST and CONVENIENT food then this is a good spot to consider. Last night, I tried their sushi and it's not bad but it's also not great. This review is simply about the delivery guy. Yesterday I order delivery on eat24 app. And the total for my order was $29.57 (paid with cash). The delivery guy gets here and I hand him $40. So I'm waiting for my change. He goes in his wallet and hands me $5 and walks off. I say excuse me this is not all my change you owe me. He then says "you give me $5 tip". I said give me the rest of my change. He says " how much tip you give me" then hands me $3. And says you give me $2 tip, laughs, then runs off. I was so pissed off. Still am. If he was patient and wasn't trying to take my money and hassling me for a tip he would have got the tip I planned on giving him. Dear Owner, You need to teach your delivery guy on what to do and what not to do. He had no right to tell me or anyone what we are going to do with our money. I got the teriyaki chicken, miso soup and gyoza. All were were tasty. The teriyaki chicken was good, quality thick chunks of meat. With the sauce on the side so it didn't get soggy. I got miso soup which was yummy! It came hot. it wasn't too salty, a lot of miso soups are too salty for my taste. The gyoza was fried and was crispy. One order had 8 pieces I ate all 8! I haven't tried their Chinese food yet, only the sushi items and I must say I was quite pleasantly surprised. Usually, I don't order sushi at a Chinese place. Super delicious. They have a $20 min and a $1 delivery charge, but their food is delicious. I only ordered sushi, so I can't attest to their Chinese food, but $20 is easy to spend on sushi so I don't have a problem with the minimum. I ordered on my Eat24 app, which made it super easy. I picked my order up myself, but the neighborhood is not the best, so I think I'll fork over that extra buck and have it delivered from now on. It used to be deep-fried tidbits bathed in Teriyaki sauce but now it's some sort of sad, undercooked chicken part that has the texture of wet tofu and no taste whatsoever. And hope you don't get salmonella poisoning! Helpful hint to the owner: change the photo on your website and also the Yelp and GrubHub sites. You're not delivering what you show. I hate to say this but I'm actually kind of surprised HOW bad the food I ordered tonight actually was. I purchased three dishes, dry fried ribs, shrimp chow mein and broccoli beef. Seems safe right? The ribs were seasoned with salt. Lots of salt. I like salt but these were super salty. But still the best of the three dishes. The shrimp chow mein comes in a sauce that tastes like an unholy mix of ketchup and soy sauce with a dash of Magi sauce resulting in an unpleasant coating. The noodles were perfectly cooked though, accompany shrimp cooked to resemble bits of silicone. I was surprised to find the broccoli beef bland and lacking any flavor, particularly as it was sitting in a puddle of sauce. Honestly I'm not THAT picky about Americanized Chinese food but this was awful. On a separate occasion I also ordered the chirashi sushi - I should have known better after that first time. Sliced raw fish on plain rice isn't chirashi sushi. Lesson learned. read more

Total price was $14 and change since they now add a percentage amount (maybe 3.65) for q built-in tip. While I waited, another customer ordered a take-out, specifying NO ADDED ingredients. Her ordered was ready before mine and the owner enthusiastically quoted back to her the request for NO ADDITIONAL ingredients...meanwhile, back at the ranch...my ordered was completed as I hastily sat down, excited to discover what could surely be a tasty dish *sound of tires skidding!!!!) The noodles were swimming in an excess of an unknown oil...also, there were thick, small strips that I guessed were egg whites mixed in the pasta noodles designed to resemble pieces of chicken. The chicken was more like pieces that were extremely small. I never noticed ant garlic, only the terrible taste of oil that I couldn't identify the taste of what it actually tasted like.
