What makes this even more ridiculous is that after taking our drink order, Hannah personally brought out three green tea drinks in champagne glasses. Then, almost immediately afterward, she decided we were somehow too intoxicated to stay. Which is it? If we were supposedly too drunk to be there, why were drinks being served in the first place? We had already ordered what would have been around a $700 meal, and instead of being treated with basic respect, we were stereotyped because we were a bachelorette party. It felt like Hannah had already made up her mind before giving us any chance to prove otherwise. Restaurants absolutely have the right to refuse service to genuinely intoxicated guests. What they should not do is make assumptions based on the type of celebration or the size of a group. This wasn't responsible service--it was poor judgment, inconsistent management, and an incredibly embarrassing way to treat paying customers.
