Portions are very generous and the staff is very friendly, checked on us to make sure everything was good, good customs service. This review comes not from the usual point of view of a regular dining experience, but from the special circumstances of a post-funeral family reception. My clan had picked this restaurant for this occasion. While I found the food to be palatized to a rather Americanized and local taste, overall the dishes were delicious and well-prepared. Some of my favorites included tofu with bok choy and black mushrooms, as well as honey walnut prawns. The servers were not only kind to our large party but took well to the bantering of some of our more jocular family members. I would recommend this establishment on the service alone. This is a hole-in-the-wall place in Manteca. However it is a very homey and the food was great. I was very pleased since I requested something that was not on the menu. I decided that I would be a pain and requested if I could have noodles sautéed with bok choy, mushrooms, and tofu. There was no problem with this order (I have been to other places where the answer was simply "We cannot do that"). In addition to my request being fulfilled I was just as pleased with the food itself. I had requested the noodles be slightly fried and as well as the tofu. It came out and tasted just like I imagined it. They prices are very reasonable, for my custom dish came out to be $8 (which I took more than 2/3 back home since it was a fairly large serving). read more

I ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken. When it was delivered I didn't receive sweet and sour sauce, the Chicken was the size of a nickel and greasy and inedible. I substituted chow mein for rice and it was also greasy and sad noodles. Super disappointing and frustrating. read more

My family decided to try this place out tonight because our normal go-to Chinese food place (Orchid Garden) is right next to the farmers market and had no available parking... This place was not great... Service was friendly (that's why they got two stars instead of one) but food was not good. Rice was overly dry, sweet and sour shrimp was good but orange chicken was not. It just didn't have a good flavor. The Mongolian beef was acceptable but not up to what I'm use to. We were hoping to land a great hidden gem but this place didn't do it. read more

SO GOOD! My husband and I have been searching for our new go-to Chinese food place for months and we would pass this place all the time when leaving Raley's. Last Friday, we decided to dine in to try it out instead of getting delivery and the food and service were great. We got there about 45 minutes before closing and didn't feel rushed at all. We got one of the dinner meals and pork buns for an appetizer. Next time we won't get an appetizer because the meal comes with egg rolls and soup before the main entrees. It seemed like we ate so much yet our waitress completely filled two takeout boxes full of food. They have four or five different dinner meal combinations and they're all under $30! Used to love this place. The only good thing they have is the siu mai dim sum and I had to say it twelve times and spell it and explain to the girl on the phone what it is. After she asked for help she still didn't know how to pronounce it. I normally love their shark fin dumpling too but last night it didn't smell or taste right. You know when you open a bag of dog food and that first whiff of air that comes out of the bag...that's what my so called Prawns in lobster sauce smelled like. And it tasted horrible! They tried to make it right by bringing out some sweet and sour chicken, which would have boosted the stars rating to 3 but still charged me for the dog food that was $10. If you want to make it right charge me for what I actually ate! The fried rice...drench it in soy sauce. And the service...after was fine until I refused to eat their dog food. They where totally ignoring my table. This is not the place... Spend your money elsewhere. $25 for bad service and terrible food, and I still tipped your sorry arses. read more

My favorite place to go for comfort food! I've been going here since I was little! However, I live in Tracy but since my dad started working in Manteca I always have him order it! The restaurant itself is really small but the service is really great! They always make sure our needs are taken care of before we even ask! The prices are pretty affordable and they give great portions! I would most definitely recommend the wor wonton soup and the salt and pepper pork! I'm giving this place 4 stars because we were on our way home from Yosemite which means eating only canned food, top ramen, p&b sammies, and cup of noodles for the past 4 days so it's no wonder our short ribs in hawaiian sauce tasted heavenly. It's too bad that we got the short ribs though because they seemed to give us every piece that had absolutely no meat, but covered in fat. Next time I'm ordering the chicken. I have eaten here before and previously added a review which was mostly positive. It has been a while since I've had Forum and was very hungry upon my arrival on a slightly late dinner night out. Eight-thirtyish. I had Kung Poa, fried rice and chow mien; my wife had shrimp fried rice. The take-out was fast but on the way home my wife said that the shrimp smelled quite fishy and thought it was not a good choice.... ...My first bite was the chow mien which I shared with my wifey, upon which she gagged at the same time I took a bite of the noodles. I then gagged on the mushy mess. I then went on to the main coarse and it was okay but the rice was the worst fried rice I have had in a while. I was more like the one I make at home myself and plow through because it is just food when you're starving. Meanwhile, wifey kept picking through her rice, tossing the tiny little popcorn shrimp aside while twisting her nose like Samantha on Bewitched trying to make them disappear. She finally succumbed to the smell and shoved the full plate of rice in the garbage. I felt horrible and slowly closed my take-out plate and dumped it in the garbage. We decided that I will not talk her into getting take-out anything from Forum Dynasty ever again. read more

I loove this place! Very friendly staff, the main reason I love this place is the cheese puffs/ rangoons. They are they best I've tasted anywhere! 5 ***** for that alone. Ate there for a birthday. We got the hot and sour soup... The meat in the soup was rancid. It was the nastiest tasting thing I've ever put in my mouth. Not edible at all. One of the members of my group actually gagged... Very gross. The rest of the food was flavorless and soggy...Service was good but the food is bad enough to take any good qualities away from this place.. Love their Chinese food. The prices are reasonable, good food, and the staff are friendly. My only complaint is the sweet and sour soup is extremely hot. Make sure you blow on soup to help cool it down before you put it your mouth or let the soup settle for a couple of minutes before consuming it. Otherwise, enjoy! read more
