Anthony then gave us a price, which seemed a little steep, but we needed the carpet done so we went ahead with the service. He put protective disposable booties that way as he cleaned the carpet, his shoes don't leave marks if they were dirty. After about a half an hour, Anthony was done. He let us know that it was ok to step on the carpet and if we do, it could be slippery. That was really good of him to let us know because my friend with me uses a cane and a wheelchair on occasion. When we checked out the carpet and Anthony did an amazing job, the carpets looked brand new!! In the end, we didn't mind paying the price because it was worth every penny!

It turns out that most of our kitchen cabinets weren't cleaned so he ended up cleaning it himself (wasn't able to take photos because he didn't think of it at the time.) The most noticeable thing we've found thus far was our oven- we were going to use it until we found residue(?) of some sort; not sure if it was from the particular cleaning spray they used, though I know this wasn't missed at the time of service since I recall this being one of the first things they started to clean. We ended up cleaning this ourselves as well. Edit to add: the reason for this update a month later is because as a first time homeowner, newly moving in, we're slowly furnishing everything and settling in- which is why we're just finding these other things just now. This updated review isn't intended to deter any new customers, but more so to let future ones to look more thoroughly as I should have done. I know Sparkle & Shine is a newer company so there's always room for improvement. I still thank Lina & her staff, as she has always been nice and communicative from the start.

They were supposed to be there at 10am. I was at work and my wife texted me around 10:30 to make sure it was for today and it was 10am. I had her text the contact person (about an hour after they were supposed to have been there) and they said the person who was supposed to come was sick. Ok?? That's fine but when were you going to tell me?? Nobody called me, no message through Yelp. And they can't send anyone else until next week. No thanks. Our house is going on the market in three days and this kind of threw a wrench in the works. Luckily we found someone else to come tomorrow!

Robert was very friendly on the phone, and gave me a deal on the 2nd mattress, since he would already be out at the house. Robert and Angela arrived at my house a bit before our 10am appointment, and I wasn't quite home yet. However, they didn't seem a bit annoyed when I arrived at 10:00...that was appreciated, since I already felt bad for making them wait! They went over the process with me before starting, and were very conscientious and polite :-) When they were finished cleaning, Robert showed me the used cleaning solution, which had obviously gotten quite a bit of yuckiness out of the mattress! While he had told me initially that some mattress discoloration may not come out, both mattresses looked perfect...I am very happy with the results. I also would like to give them a little "thank you" for putting up with my giant dog as well :-)

For this half-job on my new 3 bed 2 bath house in Fairfield, than what I paid for my 2 bed 1 bath place in South San Francisco. So , not much bigger place, living in a lower cost of living area, yet 3x the COST.. for worse job? I don't even know if the exorbitant flat price I paid included tip (or even decent pay) for those who cleaned my house. As a single mother of a developmentally delayed child working multiple jobs on a tight income , no time to deep clean things clean myself but busting my @$$ to keep it all together on my own... I work in property insurance, so this is a standard precaution I recommend to my own clients. I actually hired them in 2020 for a cleaning and it went fine, which is why I reached out again. This time, the company told me they had never been asked for a COI by a client before, and shortly after, they cancelled my appointment, saying they felt I was "setting them up." I was surprised by this reaction, as reputable service providers typically have liability insurance and can provide proof without issue. Because they refused to provide a COI and cancelled my booking, I cannot speak to the quality of their current work. However, I would caution other homeowners that if you want to ensure a vendor is insured, this may not be the right company for you.

The technician's skill is bad. After He cleaned my two bedrooms, The odor was too strong to the point that my home is like chemical factory.
