Long-time Miller's customer and always happy with their care for my carpets, I purchased a $119 groupon for them to come out. At the same time, I learned that Miller's owner retired and the company was now owned by a guy named John from California Xtreme Clean. I booked an appt with John who told me that he would instruct his tech to clean whatever I needed and I would not have to pay more, he'll honor the price paid for the groupon. I only have a combo room and hall but appreciated the offer. The tech shows up and wants me to verbally acknowledge that I will owe them $199. I told him I already paid and showed him the groupon receipt. He got John on the phone. John said he has no access to groupon account funds and would not do anything without promising to pay the $199. The tech was kind and apologized for his rude boss who said the groupon does not exist to them and he wants cash, and the price went up. I am still out the money paid to groupon but in the meantime, I can write this review! read more

My mother has been using this company for over 40 years and in that time has never encountered the level of rudeness she did today. The older gentleman she used to deal with has retired and apparently the new management has no concept of the term customer service. First the carpet technician arrived over an hour late and informed us that because of a pair of shoes and a few grocery bags on the floor he would not have time to clean our carpets today because of his "tight schedule" and that he needed us to move large articles of furniture that we've never moved before. Once he established that he definitely would not be cleaning our carpets today I asked him to leave and on the way out he slammed my front door which I have evidence of thanks to my doorbell camera. The icing on the cake is when I called the company to request a different technician not wanting to sever a 40 year service relationship over one bad experience I was told that I could take my business elsewhere and that is exactly what I will be doing. I was about to pay for 3 rooms just to get two walkways and some spot cleaning. If this is how you do business I don't suspect you will last another 40 years read more

My sister called this company for her carpet to be cleaned. Specified ahead of time the room quantity, and asked for a quote; worst case scenario. They quoted her at $111. Guy comes out and walks around, calls the owner apparently, and then said $150. Gave a lame excuse for the increase. My sister tried to talk to the owner, but he was too busy to take her call. Doug Blanton from Millers Carpet Care has cleaned our carpets twice this year. He's been a technician for 37 years. I live in a 1800 square foot rental with six rooms and an extra wide and long hallway and these carpets are white. They get plenty of traffic with lots of kids and dogs to bring on the dirt. ?!?! What was the point? I could've done it myself. The guy came over, said he couldn't get out the stains. When he left, I got on my HANDS & KNEES and did it MYSELF! Such BS. My carpet looks slightly less embarrassing, but I should've rented a Rug Doctor from Bel-Air. Every time I use Miller's Carpet Care (3 times so far!), they always do such a good job I'm rendered speechless! The carpets always look fresh, clean and beautiful, even though they're over 16 years old! They get really dirty because I have a dog who sometimes urinates in the house, so a bunch of little spots that accumulate over the months REALLY begin to look ridiculously gross. They get the job done, even though the spots are months old! It's like a miracle every time the floors are cleaned, and I could never be any more happier than I am after the cleaner leaves. Terrible workmanship and customer service. I had my carpet cleaned and the serviceman poured a 5 gallon bucket of water on the carpet in an effort to clean it. The carpet didn't get clean, just left a dark stain. Additionally, the service man tore a snag in the carpet, which was repaired. As I followed up with the owner he promised to re-clean the carpet, only to reconsider and decide to not clean the carpet. He hung the phone up in my face. I would not recommend Miller's carpet. read more

HORRIFIC, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE AND YEAH DID I MENTION HORRIBLE!!!!!! I've been using miller's carpet service for over 15 years , and when I say 15 years I mean I only dealt with them and them only. I called Miller carpet to come out and clean my carpets .Seven rooms , 13 stairs two landings two hallways. I was given a price of $225.00. I excepted this quote and made an appointment. The next day the carpet cleaners had arrived at my home when walking through my home I was told that the quoted price did not have two hallways I clearly stated when I called in that I had seven rooms stairs landings and two hallways so I was then told it would be an additional $20 I accept it and asked that he clean my carpet's. When leaving to go to the bank to get cash for my carpet cleaning service I received a call from my husband that the carpet cleaner had stated that the price will be more when I ask my husband what the new price was I was quoted $410. Stating the reason why the price went up is because my carpets 's where are supposedly heavily soiled. THAT IS SOME BULL$#!+. My carpets were dirty but two weeks prior to having my carpets cleaned I went and went over my carpet with a carpet cleaner I had myself. I told my husband to ask the gentleman to leave because I was not paying that amount when I called Mr. Miller and talk to him I first asked why did he not put two hallways down when I had told him I needed to hallways cleaned he acted like he did not know who I was I did also told him that the price of my carpet cleaning went up about $200 and I did not know why he stated that the carpet cleaner that was at my home stated that my carpets were heavily soiled which was a straight lie they just did not want to work. The carpet cleaner that came out as soon as he stepped in my home he acted like he did not even want to be there like he did not want to work. I will never do business with Miller carpet . I don't care if they are the last carpet cleaner business on planet earth. I've used Miller Carpet care several times and everytime Ive used them I had nothing but superb service. The most recent time I had used them Neil was nice and courteous. I told him that I needed carpet repaired and he found someone for me. He called back later to check to see if the carpet repairman had called and I answered no. He then told me that he would call the repairman again and within an hour the repairman called me back. I called late Friday night cancelling the carpet cleaning because the repairman didnt show up yet and wasn't sure if he would or not. Came Saturday morning I called to make sure that they didnt cancelled the appointment yet because the repairman finally showed up (see my review on The Carpet Doctor). The lady that answered very politely and said that I was still on the schedule. The carpet cleaner came around 11:30 am and was finished around 12:30 or so. He told me that the carpet will dry within 5 hours and it was. He did a really good job and will use Miller Carpet again. read more

I give this company a negative stars I had them come out to clean our carpets to only do bad service. Then calling to see if they would come back out to redo the carpets we had leave a message. And when they called back the guy was telling my husband rhat I was ok with the service. i was not ok with the service I even asked him if the if the dirty spots where going to be there after he cleaned the carpet he told me it because the carpet has grey in it. I paid a couple hundred dollars for bad service. I ended up renting a carpet cleaner and going over there job again and what would you know the carpet is now clean. I made a complaint to the bbb and requested a refund. I would never recommend this company read more

This is my first experience using Miller's Carpet cleaning services, and I am greatly pleased with the service provided by the technician Doug. In previous years I had been alternating between Coit and Stanley Steemers when it came time for my whole house carpet to be cleaned. This year I decided to take advantage of Miller's advertised offer to steam clean 4 rooms for $79.95 with the hallway cleaned free. There was an additional $5 "transportation charge" (which was a new thing to me as Coit and Stanley Steemers do not do). The techician arrived right on schedule; he was both courteous and efficient, and did a superb job. There were areas where my dogs had messed up, and I decided on adding sanitizing and protector services. The techician was quick to add that these were entirely optional services. Price wise, Miller's prices are more favorable than the other carpet cleaning services I have used. read more

Wow, our technician did a wonderful job on our carpet. We had new carpet installed almost 2 years ago and I really wanted the whole house cleaned. We have a small pit bull and I am sure she sheds more than I know. The equipement looked brand new and I can't beleive how good it looks. My next door neighbor recommended Miller's - said she has been using them for years and so we made an appointment for the same time and date. I had 2 rooms and a small hall done. They gave us a 4 hour window and were here within two hours of the initial time. They finished in about 30 - 45 minutes. The man who did the work was quick, polite and very courteous. I could not believe the price I was charged - it was fantastic!!! And the job they did - well - my carpets look like new and I know there were here for 5 years prior to the 4 I have lived here. Our daughter spilled a whole glass of milk on her bedroom carpet - which sat fermenting in the weave for two days until a terrible stench began to permeate through the doorway. This stench was like no other. I tried everything I had to remove the smell, including my own extraction carpet cleaner. Nothing would take it out. I found Miller's online and placed a call to them. The person who answered the phone was courteous, efficient, and professional. She had a great sense of humor and we even shared a good chuckle about the spilled milk. She was able to schedule me for a same-day cleaning but I wasn't available. No worries, she could do 9:30am the next day (Saturday). At 8:30am on Saturday, my phone rang and it was Mr. Miller informing me that my cleaner would be arriving within an hour - and guess what? The cleaner arrived on time! Idisdro scoped out the work and got started quickly. He was professional, thorough, and polite. I had the smelly bedroom, a hallway, and a staircase cleaned. Isidro was able to tackle all of it quickly. It's now just three hours after my appointment began and the carpets look amazing, smell neutral, and are drying quickly. Thanks for the great work! He was very professional, explained how everything would go, he was very kind to my children and answered their (many) questions on top of the fact, he made our carpet look amazing. I called 3/30 @ about 2pm set an appointment for 3/31 between 11-2 the day arrives and No show I call and they said oh we scheduled you for 4/1 by mistake so we will comp you and be by tomorrow to clean 4 rooms and hallway. So I give the old man the benefit of the doubt and say ok and agree for 4/1 11-2, he said closer to 11 because of the mess up. I have had to call 4 time and still no show from the cleaner... I have the owner calling me to speak with his rep who never showed, don't you have a better way to communicate with your workers besides my phone! + I have heard every excuse, wrong date wrong time wrong address.. This company lies about promised times to show up...then has the audacity to tell me that I am in the wrong because I did not specify that I had a commercial establishment not a residential.And that it is my fault that they cannot clean my carpet after making me wait all day for them because they only brought a portable unit and the truck mounted unit does a better job. Why wouldn't they bring out the unit that does the better job in the first place... I wouldn't use them if they were the only game in town...I'd be better off with a bottle of Resolve and a scrub brush and vacum. read more

They cleaned my carpet couple months ago and I think they did a nice job but I could have probably done equally well with a rug doctor from raleys or safeway. The price was right considering its mostly labor. I dont have time to go and lug a machine for a day and return. This way they work around my schedule and worked out pretty good.
