Absolutely nailed it (ha!) I last minute decided to get acrylics for my sister's wedding so I showed up at their opening time and even though they prefer reserved appointments they took me in and treated me tremendously. I got a standard pedicure which got the full treatment ($35) and acryrlic gel manicure ($75). My friends and I came here on a Saturday afternoon and we were here for a total of 3 hours... absolutely ridiculous considering it was one regular mani and two full sets. They only had two people working and the service was strange, one of the ladies working on my friends nails just left and we were sitting and waiting for fifteen minutes before we realized on our own she was done. Much better. The ladies were very apologetic about my last experience Nx they called offering a free manicure to make up for my experience last time. I scheduled a same day appointment right after I returned from vacation and they were able to fit me in. When I arrived the manager was there and she apologized profusely. She explained that regular nail polish and gel top coat should never go together because they are made for two different materials. I wish I had been told that before my vacation!!!! They were very kind and made sure I had a better experience. They also said that if I have a problem with the current manicure or a future manicure, just return to the shop and they will handle it. I live in the East Bay but was in the area visiting a friend and decided to give this place a shot. Really, really average and overpriced for the services. I got a mani/pedi. The nail polish was painted on unevenly and very little attention was paid to my cuticles. They charged me extra for callous treatment on my feet without telling me that it cost extra. I would say that my biggest complaint was the woman next to me - she had her two little dogs tied up outside and when they starting whining, they were allowed in the nail salon, off-leash. Great attention to detail and great customer service! This was my first time experience and I am going to make this place my regular spot. I got a manicure and pedicure. The foot massage was great, and the use of hot stones was a special touch. Sitting in a massage chair the whole time, I was very relaxed. They offered me some tea, which was a nice compliment. I have been going to this salon for over 20 years. There have been multiple owners over that time, but the current owner, Helen is the best! The salon is clean and comfortable. Everyone working here is very nice and welcoming. Helen takes the best care of my elderly mother and does everything she can to make our visits easy for her insisting that she work on Mom's toes as she knows her feet are sensitive. We get our toes done regularly and have gotten into the routine of having extra massage time. Kelly does a terrific job on my toes and gives the BEST massages! The prices are inline with other salons and they do their best to get you an appointment time that works for you. I highly recommend. read more

I was really crazy about this place at first. It's tough to find a decently priced nail salon that has massage chairs and gives nice foot massages. And this place does. The staff isn't the friendliest and sometimes they can be rough with how they handle their pedicures, but it's still my go to place for now until I find a place that can compete with the prices and massage chairs. I like to go during off hours, i.e. during weekdays or late on a Sunday. They close at 6 on Sundays so I like to come a little after 5. They do eyebrow waxing decently as well. But I have found a better place on clement for eyebrows. Just a tip, call beforehand to make an appointment. Also, the water is always a little too hot so don't be afraid to speak up and tell them to make it cooler so you don't burn your feet. read more

I am new to acrylics and hadn't realized how hard on your nails they really are. So after the second nail of my full set (which I'd only gotten 16 days before) cracked off, I wasn't going to get it repaired again. I just wanted them OFF and go back to my natural nails. Four Seasons had me covered. I think I came at a non-busy time because the staff were taking appointments, both in-person and over the phone, a lot of the time I was there. Lucky me to be a walk-in and get taken care of so soon, next time I will probably make an app. Helen was very kind and gentle in removing my acrylics, and was extremely personable. I truly felt like I was being taken care of and not rushed in and out like livestock, which is the vibe you can sometimes get from other nail salons. She seemed to be knowledgeable about acrylics as well, if I were in the market for another set (rather than taking a break from them currently) I most definitely would've gone to her. She handed me off to another nail tech, who's name is eluding me, who worked on my cuticles and gave a great hand massage before doing the basic manicure I requested. As my nails dried under the heat lamps/fan they offer for normal, non-gel polish, Helen came back over and engaged me in conversation as I waited for my nails to dry. She even fixed one of my nails when I accidentally bumped it under the dryer and was very patient and nice about it. The foot baths and massage chairs look super appealing here, seems like a great place to get a pedicure! I had a wonderful experience here. While they said they were out of the original color I picked, I went with white and my manicurist gave me one of the best manicures I've ever gotten. Often times the gel is thick at the tip, which I don't love - but here, the lady made them look absolutely perfect. I live an hour north, but whenever I'm in town I will be back! read more

Hi Everyone - tonight's review is all about Helen! I had called about 6 or 7 other nail salons that said they did silks but didn't when I called to book. :( in search of a place I called the four seasons nail salon and sure enough they did offer silks at a great price! Helen told me to come in ASAP so she got me in and in an hour I had beautiful reinforced long strong nails i didn't have to worry about breaking. I used to bite my nails down to the nubbins and had horrid false nails for 15 years which destroyed them. I then went cold turkey and after one year of TLC I now have really strong and long nails. Helen now keeps them very strong and tough as rocks. She does an excellent job at applying the silks, I could go a month with these things on seriously! they stayed put with many dish washing's to tests to prove it. They don't bubble or come off - i see her every two weeks. What i really like about this salon is they stick you under the nail curing lights which really harden the nail polish. It lasts longer! which is great. All round Helen, is kind supportive, knowledgeable, gentle, accommodating and I really have found my lady! its a match for life now! so glad i now have a great nail salon to go to. There also is parking outside on the streets which is a bigggg plus, and everyone at the salon is friendly and the customers are warm. I went here and got a gel pedicure with my best friend. The pedicure itself was not terrible despite the fact that it was EXTREMELY rough. I don't think I've ever been manhandled more. The customer service is absolute garbage. The lady basically threw the gel colors at us. One worker brought her dog who started barking at my friend. We called over the phone and they told us their special was $30 gel toes just for me to go in and be told that it was $45.... The woman then acted like she was doing me a huge favor by charging me $38 instead of $45... Super unprofessional. If I've learned anything from nail salons in SF it's that if you want to really be happy just drop the extra $10-20 and go to a nicer salon. read more

I have had only good experiences at Four Seasons! Helen and her team are fantastic as far as their products. I've had gel (Opi) and normal manicures done here, plus spa pedicures. Generally the wait is longer than I would like, but the product is so positive, I can't actually complain at all. I've had (and long overdue review for) gelish manicures, gel french manicures and acrylic fix-it manicures for my broken nails. The service from Helen and her staff has been fantastic. Particularly from one visit, prior to me serving as the MOH for my best friend's wedding, Helen stayed later than anticipated to fix two of my (very broken) nails to ensure that my french manicure would be solid across all fingertips. All in all, I've been impressed with their service and my gel manicures have looked good for ~2 wk after my manicures. I've been happy from the service. read more

What a wonderful find in the neighborhood of St. Mary's hospital! The manicure and pedicure were two of the best I have ever experienced. The water was warm and not hot, the massage chair was set to a very comfortable setting . Thought I was in heaven when they used warm lotion and offered to give me a longer foot massage. The manicure was equally the best I ever had! They even massage your arms, shoulder and neck! The ladies who work there were welcoming, warm and helpful as I'm visiting SF. I had a pedicure there recently and saw the pedicurist reuse the same disposable gloves on another client after using them on me. She never washed her hands or the gloves. Eww. Very unsanitary. When I went to pay for my service, I only had $20.00. I asked to pay with my ATM as I had witnessed other customers using and she asked if I could pay in cash. When I replied that all I had was $20.00 and the pedicure cost $27.00, she then asked me if I would please to the ATM in the liquor store next door and remove cash. I told her I did not want to pay the ATM fees for cash from my bank. She then asked if she could apply the $20.00 cash that I had towards the price of the pedicure and give the rest in tip. Wow. I think that that was quite bold and I wonder how legal it is to ask for tips or services in cash. The foot massage was timed for 3 minutes. When the timer buzzed, I was asked if I wanted ten additional minutes for $10.00. This was the poorest massage I ever received and the most uncleanly venue I had ever been to. read more
