I understand that times are tough for everybody, but asking for over 25% of a tip, then becoming disgruntled and refusing to give me my change or debt card back while and calling Mangement is a very poor reflection of this business and how they treat their employees with their hourly wage if they even get one. The entire experience was very uncomfortable. There's not much privacy so when you're undressing, you better hope that there's not someone walking past cause they can obviously see you through the thin curtains. The environment had roaches in the bathroom. It was rough. The services were OK maybe a 7-8/10. I tipped 20% just to get my debt card back and leave. I won't be coming back here because how awkward, tacky, and unprofessional my experience was. Responding to the "owner" below: I know how to do math. Therapist got 20$ cash (broken from $100) after refusing to accept my 13$ tip. I paid 105$ on my card -- I even went as far as to show your therapist the math on a calculator on my phone to try to communicate the reasoning behind my tipping. You left your therapist out to dry instead of trying to help communicate to her, you walked away. Customary tipping in the United States is between 12-15% aka $12.50 - $15.75. This is supplementally to their hourly wage. Trust me I'm not anti-tipping, I just don't agree with how I was mistreated. For outstanding service: then the tipping would be 15-20%. Which by the way, after you three harassed me your therapist STILL got $20 just for me get out of the establishment -- so good on you for making people feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, your therapist still got what she requested, so remind me what the issue is? Furthermore, $20 USD is equivalent to ¥136.57 CNY and ¥ 3143.71 JPY as of closing today, which is well over what the standard wage within both those economies. Also -- why are we quoting ¥ when I paid in USD -- are customers suppose to be paying in different currency? Totally fine if we are but I was not made aware of that and it seems you and your therapist got a fair compensation per USD and ¥ standards. I'm a business owner too -- and my employees see tips as just extras because of their proper compensation, I do that intentionally so situations like this don't put my customers or employees in an uncomfortable situation. The conversation would have been different if you and your staff weren't so rude. If you read the review thoroughly you would see that the issue wasn't the therapist's service per say. The issue was the following in more detail, since a simple "sorry for your bad experience" is no longer a thing and you've insulted me -- the customer: - it seems like accountability is a new concept to you -- meanwhile you left your therapist to fend for herself with her bad attitude and not knowing how to communicate with the customer. Her desperation for an additional $5 is alarming, which is where the comment of "IF SHE EVEN GETS AN HOURLY WAGE" came from. This whole experience must have been stressful for her too especially without proper training or support. - Interesting how the male client that walked in while I was at the front trying to pay and leave was treated much differently. ALSO, interesting how you felt the need to respond to my review when there was another negative review right below this one. I wouldn't go as far as to say sexist and racist behavior -- but this response shows for itself. - AND be sure to properly display the licenses of your establishment AND your therapists' licenses from the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) at the front of the establishment. "...massage therapists must display their original CAMTC certificate (not a copy) in a conspicuous, public place at their workplace. This is typically in the reception, waiting area, or a visible location at the entrance" THIS IS THE LAW and I certainly didn't see any of the many therapists' state issued licenses anywhere in the common areas. - the questionable working environment with employees napping and bugs in the facility is the least of the issues, although upsetting is fixable. I fear this place has other more important issues to address. - the ATROCIOUS behavior you all exhibited in response and your therapist's harassment. Your defensive response shows for itself, instead of being a keyboard warrior, lead by a better example for your employees. Everything about this experience has been sketchy especially now realizing there weren't proper documentations displayed and your behavior in response thats not warranted.

They used an oil that was wiped off with a warm towel at the end of the massage. The masseuse also stretched and rubbed my hips too. Overall, they did a nice job. I booked this appointment specifically with Lisa since I've seen her before and really like her. I set it up days in advance and was looking forward to it. But when I showed up, nobody was at the front desk, and I waited around for about 10 minutes before I found out that Lisa was on vacation. I had a migraine that day and needed a massage. I also drove 40 minutes, so I accepted another therapist, who they said had a "similar technique" to Lisa, with no choice. But the massage wasn't even close to what I expected. I had to cut the 90mins session down to one hour, so I don't waste my time anymore. I paid and left a tip, though. What really rubbed me the wrong way was getting a text after I left, basically asking for more tips. If they thought my tip was not enough, they could've mentioned it in person, where I could've explained why I didn't think the massage was worth it and why I cut it short. Honestly, if they had just called me to say Lisa wasn't available, none of this would've happened. I love Lisa, but after this experience, I can't recommend this place to anyone I know. read more

I have to have body massage almost every two weeks and have been many places. This place is very clean, spacious, quiet and reasonably priced. The only bad thing is that after 30 minutes foot massage in the lobby, we have to go to other room for remaining body massage.This disturbs the flow of relaxing body massage. It is like you almost fall asleep and then you have to wake up to walk to other room. Also, they leave massage area more often than other places while massage session either to pick up hot towels or something else. Not many places are perfect. I would not recommend this place. The main issue for me was that the air conditioning was uncomfortably cold, and the therapist did not take care to cover exposed areas of skin. Massage quality can be subjective, but overall I was not satisfied with the experience. read more

I booked a 40-minute massage advertised at $40. When I called, I was simply told that the next available time was at 4:45 PM. From that conversation, we were under the impression that any time after 4:45 would be fine, and we were never explicitly told that we were being booked for exactly 4:45 PM. As a result, we arrived a few minutes after 4:45 and the massage began around 4:55 PM. However, the session still ended around 5:25 PM, meaning I paid for a 40-minute massage but only received about 30 minutes of actual massage time. Another odd thing my girlfriend and I noticed was the inconsistency in the massages themselves. We paid for the exact same service, but our experiences were noticeably different. I was assigned a female therapist while my girlfriend was assigned a male therapist, which was perfectly fine, but my girlfriend received a much more thorough massage that included work down her legs, whereas I did not receive the same treatment despite us paying for the same service. It left us confused as to why there was such a difference in what was provided. What really pushed me to write this review, however, was the checkout experience. I offered a $5 tip and was immediately told there was a "$10 minimum." I have absolutely no issue tipping and fully understand that massage therapists deserve to be compensated for their work. However, I have never in my life been told how much I was required to tip, especially when there were no signs, notices, or disclosures stating that gratuity was mandatory. If customers are expected to pay a mandatory $10 gratuity, that should be clearly communicated beforehand or included in the advertised price. Instead, I felt pressured at checkout after already receiving less time than I had paid for. To make matters worse, the difference between a 40-minute massage and a one-hour massage is only $10, meaning I effectively paid the price of an hour-long massage while receiving only about 30 minutes of service. The massage itself was decent, but the lack of communication and transparency completely overshadowed the experience. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I hope management addresses these issues because no customer should pay for 40 minutes, receive 30, and then be told there is a "$10 minimum" tip requirement that was never disclosed beforehand.

After the first 60 minutes, the therapist recommended adding a foot massage and said the total combo price would be $100. 5. I asked if they accepted credit cards and she said yes. After the additional 30 minutes (90 minutes total), I went to the front desk. 6. The man at reception told me the total was $100 and asked for a tip. I had already tipped the therapist in cash. 7. He entered $100 on the credit card machine and showed me the amount. I confirmed it and completed the payment. 8. While the receipt was printing, he left. 9. The therapist then handed me the receipt to sign. 10. The charge was $103.50, not the $100 that I had agreed to and confirmed. 11. When I asked why the amount was different, she simply said, "I don't know." 12. English is not my first language either, but if you run a business, you should be able to explain basic charges, credit card fees, or pricing differences. They really cover every inch of your body with the 70 min combo massage (neck, shoulders, back, butt, legs, arms, face, head, feet). After leaving I felt like I was floating; very relaxed and muscles with increased mobility. The only downside to this spot is that the rooms are not separated by ceiling to floor walls so you can hear the massages happening next to you, customers coming in, and when the boba shop next door's blender. It does take away from the experience a bit, but I do feel that the massage is still very worth it. Also, their prices in store do not match what is listed online, so I've included the updated ones here.

Here I thought the masseuse was trying to feel around for problem areas. Instead I started feeling a bit unwell with how the rest of this was going. As the massage actually took place, there was very little focus to any areas at all during the first 15min. The masseuse brought in the semi wet towel (not warm or hot) to clean off the lotion off my body and calves. She asked if I wanted to turn over and I stated that I preferred to have more work done on my neck and shoulder blades. Again, I was met with very soft hands. Maybe at around the 25min mark she finally started working the areas she noticed were tight, but for a very short period. Those areas I requested, along with the rest of my body, feel underworked. As I'm dressed and ready to leave, the masseuse asks for a tip. To me, a tip would've been earned if the masseuse would've taken the time to ask the customer if there was any problem areas to focus on. Versus a below average job throughout the massage. Respectfully never coming here again.
