Im gonna start eith the good... then the bad. First of all the workers are really friendly and welcoming. somewhat clean interior (other than test strips everywhere it was spotless), big selection of mens and womens fragrances on discounted prices. Whenever i go theres always a deal going on or lowww prices. Now for the bad. Im not exaggerating but there were more off brand (not fakes/chinese knockoffs!) fragrances than designer fragrances. i cant remember which ones they were but three of them burned my hand which has never happened to me before! i went in there and saw a few fragrances i wanted and tried to ask to test them but i kept getting interrupted by the employee helping me. "sweet or fresh" those are most of the words she spoke to me. i wanted to come back to smell some of the fragrances that she put on the 16 test strips but she just wrote a scribble which nobody can read which made me a little upset. i went in there wanting one cologne and have been waiting to ask her for it for about a half hour. she finally listened whaen i asked to smell the ralph lauren. i know stores are kinda supposed to do this but she just kept trying to get me to buy stuff like test strips, travel atomizers, another fragrance and random shower gel. she insisted that i buy more things and i kept saying the same thing "i just want the ralph lauren please". payed 130 for it. honestly a decent deal on a designer frgarance that costs like 140 for a small bottle. still cheaper on discounters like fragrancex,fragrancenet,jomashop or aurafragrance. pretty nice place but im probably not going back. P.S thought it was pretty inappropriate but i dont really mind it but she said this "sexy cologne can get you all the prettiest women you want". not a complaint but im just rather pointing that out lol. read more

I'm going to start off and say that personally, I love perfume and collect fragrances. I had the pleasure of being helped by Amalia yesterday. She greeted me when I entered the store, was friendly throughout our interaction and was extremely patient with me. I wanted to venture out of my norm, and I wanted as good of a deal as possible. She recommended a ton of nice fragrances, knew what I would like based on some of my preferences, and she explained the sales that were on special. Amalia was knowledgeable and her service definitely exceeded my expectations. 11/10 read more

Walked in and no one was in the store on 08/18 around noon. Shortly after a sales rep showed up and didn't seem to like her job much. I was ready to buy a cologne but wanted to make sure it was the right one first. She didn't have a tester and said she couldn't spray the one in display. Fine, it makes sense, they don't want everyone trying something that's for sale as it will empty it out the bottle. When I was making conversation about this policy (just explaining that if that is a policy it makes sense), she cut me off and assumed I was saying something other than that with a negative tone. By the way, she wouldn't even let me hold the bottle! That's when I had it and pulled my family out of the store, who were actually ready to buy a couple of colognes. I suggest this sales rep to find a job that she enjoys so she doesn't bring her negativity into people's days. We ended up finding the same colognes, cheaper at Perfumania located one hundred feet down the outlet. read more

The only reason I logged in to yelp was to write a review on this "worse store ever experience' First of all I dont understand how come they have a rip off store like this in the middle of an outlet mall! Buyers travel such long distances and spend there time and effort to come to Gilroy so that they can have great deals and good outlet mall experience and than in the middle of these amazing stores you have this snake called " fragrance " who is ready to bite your purse with minutes later ( when you google what you bought..) you finding that you been ripped off for good. I mean real good. The worse case is when you are buying stuff from them on "supposedly" black Friday deal and still get ripped off.. what are the chances of that. But this store wont let you down they will make sure they take every penny out off you. I went to buy a hugo boss element 3 oz was priced 56$ and aqua di gio 1.7 oz was given 59.99 ( check prices on any other store for this ..) What the hell! I come back in 10 mins to return only to find out they have no return policy ( i am sure they have good reasons for it ) and will only provide return as merchandise. I was like " ok I still want to return with something else in store " only to hear " we wont be able to give it today since we dont have a manager in store and she alone can do it". Well if you cant work without your manager why the hell did you keep your store open in the first place. The sales associate was awful and her only idea of what she needs to do in the store is to have you swipe your card as soon as possible... " once done you are done" So if you really dont give a s--t! about your hard earned money please go to this store or else if you have any brain matter.. after reading this you know what to do. read more

They don't tell you that you cannot return anything. I waited nearly 20 minutes before being helped and bought 4 different types of cologne there plus supplies. As I continued shopping the one I tried on (and bought) was making me sick. So I went back to get a refund and was told that on the very bottom of the receipt it says that they only do exchanges. Never have I been to a store that did NOT offer a return on an unopened product that was bought 2 hours previously (short of underwear of course) and they did not disclose it to me nor was it posted anywhere in their store. The lady I had dealt with at that point was more than rude and treated me like I was stupid. I decided not to make a scene and looked for a new cologne and was sold on some new product that was oil based and was told by the same lady that it lasted it all day. It lasts for 4 hours max. This place will do anything they can to swindle you into buying their product. Just buy online or from another retail store. This place is shady. read more

Just like the previous reviewers, I got completely ripped off! I bought a cologne for $70 at the store that is sold on Amazon for $15 AND of course they don't do returns. I feel like an idiot for not checking the price on such an expensive bottle of cologne. I will not be shopping here EVER again and i will tell everyone what a scam this is. read more

I wouldn't even give them the one star. My husband bought me 2 bottles of perfume for Christmas from this store. Went to exchange one bottle and they would not let me exchange for a different perfume of equal value. He couldn't find the receipt. He paid cash. They said they won't exchange without the receipt. However, the bottle I wanted to exchange was not open and had their tag on it with the name of the store and the price. Will NEVER shop here again!!! read more

massively overpriced ! Wife bought me a 4.2 oz of issey ,and they charged 30$ more then it cost any where else. it has a top for a different bottle, and was not even in a box it was warped in plastic. also it doesn't smell right. read more
