My husband and I just moved to Lockport from Buffalo. One of my favorite take out dinners in the city was chicken finger pizza. The mission to find a good one in Lockport started here, with Frankie's. The pizza had a nice, thick, Buffalo style crust. It was cooked perfectly. The chicken fingers were done well, but could have been saucier. They were super generous with the cheese which I think is necessary! The pizza had a blue cheese base, but it wasn't overpowering in the way bleu cheese can be. It didn't have any frills- I've had some pizzas with tomatoes, carrots, celery, etc on top. I don't mind the frills but wasn't upset that they were not missing on the pizza. Overall it was delicious and I'd definitely order again! We also ordered a Carter's Platter- it came with onion rings, fries, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, and pizza logs. It was a good portion and hot and fresh upon pickup! read more

Their food is really tasty. There's more hits than misses. Tonight we had a fairly big order as we were entertaining. Whoever was taking the orders messed up the order. It seemed like the person answering the phone really didn't want to be there and couldn't be bothered. I get it accidents DO happen. We called Frankie's back and they made the order right. Well, I'm writing Yelp reviews online using Ralph Wilson Stadium as a cute backdrop for inspiration. How do you tell Mall Cops that? Well apparently these guys are cooler than Mall Cops because they thought it was cool and left me alone after a brief question-and-answer session. Frankie's makes good slices, in fact they are some of the most popular slices in Lockport. They're not really to my taste, because the sauce is so sweet! The whole region of WNY is famous for sweet sauce, but Lockport Pizza really seems to amp up the sweet, some places more than others. I might even say that this is the sweetest pizza I have ever tasted but then again I have tasted a lot of pizza so I can't really say that with any authority. Little do locals know, that Sinatra actually used to own this place (hence the name Frankie's), but if you're up in Lockport, and would like to try some super-sweet and home made pizza that is very popular with the locals, this place will get it done for you. This is a 3.5-4 star pizza place. They have fairly good pizza. Their pepperoni is not cup and char but still thick cut and good. It's Lockport so they have sweet and traditional sauces. I'm a fan of both styles but their traditional is the better of the two here. Frankie's is known for their char grilled wings which is optional. My pic of the wings is char grilled barbecue and medium. They also have great deals with sub of the month and daily specials. For instance, currently the sub of the month is chicken finger for $8.50. The service really needs to improve. My first visit and the pizza wasn't ready at the time we were told. Typically not a big deal. Was told it would be 3 or 4 minutes, and I could pay while waiting. After paying stood waiting and waiting. Finally 15 minutes later asked where my pizza was. Oops, it seems they took it out of the oven, boxed it, and left it on top of the oven. Come on, with a customer standing there you forget his order? Barely an apology from them. With a tag line of building your business on your service, you really need to give me a reason to ever come back. While not a bad Stinger pizza, it was cold by the time I got home. The party salad was absolutely delicious and loaded with the freshest ingredients - shredded cheese, pepperoncini, carrots, cabbage, I can't even remember everything that was there with the lettuce! And the subs were fabulous - their rolls are out of this world, the subs were cut into 4s as I asked for and wrapped so that everyone could cleanly grab their choice of sandwich in our covid world. Frankie's Pizza is absolutely delicious. I especially like their boneless chicken wings. However, their pizza does not have a crust and the crust is my favorite part of a pizza! Nonetheless, it is still delicious and it is conveniently located on Lincoln Avenue. Therefore, I can order some Chinese from the Mayflower to go with it and drop by the Dollar General and Crafts & Creations as I wait for it to cook. They offer tasty sides such as pizza logs, fries, mozzarella sticks, bread sticks, onion rings, fried dough, or garlic bread. Like I said, the main reason I love Frankie is for its location. Pizza and Chinese food make the best combination! And they are not skimpy on the pepperoni! They will also never burn your pizza. I can't tell you how many times I've had trouble with that from other pizzerias. When you pick up your order, they always lift open the box so that you can examine your pizza. Had lunch delivered by Frankie's today and we have been in a food coma since. My coworker said "The chicken taco was actually a burrito and was yummy, but made me want Mo's." My other coworker had the chicken ranch club (no bacon-um what's the point) and she said it was great too. I had the chicken slouvaki which had too much Feta for my taste! But feta lovers rejoice, even the dressing had feta in it. I do like feta, but to me it's like sundried tomatoes, very early '90's. I can tell the pizza would be good because the breadsticks were pizza dough, and yummy. I wasn't going to eat them on my quest to stay away from carbs during the week, but after one bite I couldn't help but eat all three. Frankies is a really solid local pizzeria. What I like most about them is that they serve Romaine lettuce as an option for a sub (if you're like me and can't stand iceberg). If they stop doing that I might not order as much actually I know I wouldn't but they do so it's not an issue so far. I've never had a bad pie here, the staff is friendly, they've got a decent sized parking lot, and I've never had a quality issue here. Downhill and straight to Hell. Ordered a sub, got a salad version of the sub instead (blech). Called to tell them of the error asking them to correct it. The employee mumbled some excuse and what sounded like she would get my sub out right away and hung up. I waited and waited then finally called asking if my sub was on the way. Got the same girl that screwed it up in the first place and who took my second call when I originally explained the error. She didn't know what was going on and put someone else on the phone. This gal explained she got on the phone to respond when I last called and only heard beeping so she hung up figuring I was just going to eat the salad. REALLY? Can't handle their own phone system either let alone press redial to call a customer back. She did send the sub and actually asked for the untouched salad back as if I was trying to get a free sub out of her. Like I spend all night on the phone trying to correct a simple order especially when I am starving! I should have asked her to just send a plain sub roll with nothing on it and made my own sub with the salad they sent in error. Get people on phones who do not mumble and can also listen...please! Learn a thing or two about customer service and when in doubt, redial is still a valuable feature to call back a customer. read more

I asked for two meatballs on the side for my 2 year old to eat. My food gets here delivered and I receive 2 meatballs frozen with no sauce. I called to talk to the Manager Dewey and he stated well that's how they come until they are cooked. He didn't care how I felt nor that he was losing a customer. So far so good. The wings are above average (I would have liked them crispier though), and sometime soon I'm interested in trying the pit wings. Thus far, I've only had the steak pizza (which is yummy, greasy goodness with a decent amount of meat, very cheesy), wings, and steak and cheese subs. Those were delicious as well also have a decent helping of meat. I really like the different steak options. It's nice to have something more than the typical sub or hoagy. I will be back to try more items off the menu. All in all, this is one of my favorite pizza joints in Lockport and I hope they keep up the good work. We have ordered from here over a dozen times. Recently, the past couple of times have been less than satisfactory. The order before this last order, was pizza and wings. Cheese and pep pizza, it was pretty good. The wings were from the pit, they were undercooked and heavily charred. We chalked it up to a busy night and cooked them in the oven the rest of the way. This last order was horrendous. A taco Stromboli, stinger sub with peppers and onions, and small order of garlic parmesan fingers. The sub wasn't prepared as ordered and the fingers were done in the pit, charred so black they smelled burnt. I did call this time to have my order fixed. They did fix the sub. The fingers were still done on the pit and heavy char taste. If I knew they were going to be done on the pit, I wouldn't have ordered them. There was no choice given to me. Needless to say, they did try to fix the order, but I couldn't eat the fingers. That is the last time we'll order from there. Two bad orders, too many. read more
