The other plates I've tried are/is the Gordo De pollo, seafood enchiladas and Pork tamales. Gordo de pollo: the chicken was a little dry for me but my girlfriends liked it "Seafood enchiladas" enchiladas topped with 3 shrimp or salmon - tadaaa seafood enchiladas Pork tamalas - yummy but I've had better homemade... Tried it for the first time today AND WE WILL BE BACK. The price was very reasonable and the food was ABOVE average. Shrimp tacos were good, the torta was delicious and the chimichanga was tasty (my wife didn't like that it was sitting in red sauce). The SALSA was above par and the cheese was thick and tasty. If you want good Tex Mex ,This is the place you want to eat at.We have always liked the Salmon Tacos the best.They are always fresh and served hot with rice and beans with a spicy cream sauce.The enchiladas are good,Chicken with a spicy white cream sauce is the best. Texans believe Tex-mex is awesome and get deeply offended when that notion is challenged. Of course this notion is from not having tasted the Sonoran mexican food from Arizona, California + New Mexico. That style is more authentic and way better tasting. Just ask someone who's tried all of it. If one of those Sonoran Mexican food recipes made it over here to DFW, game f--g over...Frankie's is okay but let's not crown it. Very disappointed. No one manning the outdoor pick up window. I had to go inside and the only ones wearing mask were employees. No social distancing of the tables. No patrons wearing mask as they walked in or out, no mask wearing while patrons were sitting at tables. Food was too salty and no other seasoning. I am honestly astounded by the reviews of this restaurant. I recently moved to the area from San Antonio and have been searching for good quality Mexican food, when I came across the Yelp reviews for Frankie's. I ordered the sour cream chicken enchiladas and although I did enjoy the chips salsa and appetizer tostada they gave us, my enjoyment was overcome with disappointment as soon as I received my main dish. The chicken in the enchiladas tasted canned, the sour cream on top was just that...a bunch of sour cream thrown on top and the enchiladas were small with no flavor to the sauce. The side of rice tasted like par-boiled Uncle Ben's and I think the only good thing on my plate was the beans. We also ordered an additional side of flour tortillas and I could almost see through them they were so thin. I honestly don't think the actual workers even eat here, being around Mexican culture for quite some time now and I know for a fact they wouldn't eat tortillas like that or par-boiled rice. I guess this restaurant caters to Gringos who have never had Mexican food..Ever. read more

This place is really nice for a great value. Parking lot isn't huge, but I've never had a problem finding a parking spot. Food is great with a very attentive service staff. One thing I'm a stickler for is that my drink is refilled when needed, and they haven't disappointed. Prices are very reasonable, with only a couple of issues why I took away a star. The waiting area is only 2 small benches inside. I've recently moved from California and when they are busy, most of the time customer's will need to wait outside. In the Texas heat, it sucks. It would also be nice to have more booth's versus tables, but that's just my preference. Other than those minor things, I'm a fan! read more

All of their employees are pleasant and smiling, they make you feel like you are the most important customer in the restaurant. Their prices are good also, especially for the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen. this place is absolutely amazing. it's not fancy looking, but they serve food that would leave Gracie's green with envy. everything is made from scratch, including the corn tortillas and refried beans! I got the tortilla soup, my kids got the taco dinner and kids enchilida dinner, wife got the salmon enchilidas. not a single plate had food left afterwards. even our 4 year old cleared his plate! we also got chorros and flans for dessert. the chorros were amazing! very thick, perfectly done wirh crunchy exterior, followed by a soft inner layer, and finally a gooey cinnamon center. it comes with big heaping scoops of authentic vanilla icecream and 4 spoons! the flan was great but unusual. it was very dense, almost like cheesecakw. was delivious but too sweet for me haha read more
