We had Frank out today to fix our dryer and dishwasher. He asked me to explain the problems prior to visiting us. He also had me send him a pic of the serial number. Then he showed up early to the appointment with the appropriate parts needed to make the repairs. He completely cleaned the dryer and repaired it in short order. Then moved on to the dishwasher and repaired that too. It is nice to have a repair person return your call, make an appointment and show up on time and complete the repair. I've learned that the world of appliance repair is a small and specialized niche - - especially when it comes to refrigeration and washing machines. One weekend my refrigerator decided it was time to stop refrigerating and the freezer stopped freezing. In the end Frank came through and really saved the day, and saved me from wasting money on a brand new refrigerator. After my mild panic attack (I frantically started eating all the ice cream and frozen popsicles), my initial thoughts were to either start packing the food in coolers w/ ice, and/or get ready plop down $1,000+ on a new refrigerator (ugh!). Since this model (Frigidaire) seemed relatively new, I instead started searching the yellow book and internet for repair technicians. I found out quickly that weekend repairmen are practically non-existent, however, I came across Frank's website and called and left a message on his answering machine. Much to my surprise he returned my call within the hour and said he'd be right over. Frank arrived and immediately started troubleshooting the issue. In the end he determined that the root cause was a broken timer and thermostat sensor which caused the freezer to work overtime and resulted in an ice build-up. The ice prohibited the heating element from doing it's job (melting the ice) which eventually led tothe refrigerator shutting down completely. Frank was great at explaining the issue and his thorough service and quality workmanship was outstanding to say the least. He replaced the 2 parts and also cleaned out the filter (for regular maintenance) since it was dirty (I had no clue?), so the final bill for parts and labor was about $150. I was so relieved to have saved hundreds of dollars by not buying a new fridge, but instead repairing a perfectly good one. Frank said there was plenty of life left in the current model, which he estimated was about 7yrs old. I was so delighted w/ Frank's patient and due diligence, he takes his time to ensure that the problem is resolved and is very well versed in the specialized world of refrigeration. He is very open and honest with his communication as well. I highly recommend his services if you're in need of refrigeration or washing machine repair service and looking to get the most out of your appliance. My refrigerator has been in perfect working condition ever since - thanks to Frank! You'll be happy to know he offers 24hr service w/in a 50 mile radius (of Georgetown) just in case! read more

Waited close to two weeks, no contact about my tv that I am being told they are waiting for parts and that they will get back with me. The mailbox to call them is full and now I am concerned they are just yanking my chain and something is wrong with my tv and they no longer want to return it. Any time i call they say "call us back in an hour" but then they do not answer when I call back. All I want is an ETA Since I am moving out of state very soon and scared to leave my tv in Texas. Purchase a protection plan from Home Depot. They assigned Franks Appliance Repair to my claim. He was supposed to come out and see what was wrong with my dryer. I talked to him over the phone and he said he is just going to order parts. I asked him, don't you want to see it first? He said no and as soon as he gets the parts he will call back with a time to repair. 2 weeks and half, no response . I called Home Depot to figure out what's going on because Franks Appliance Repair voicemail is full. They confirmed the appointment for the next Friday. This is now on week 3 with no dryer. He shows up without the parts. He thought it was delivered to my residence. He tells me that he will have to comeback that following Monday and he can't waste time to go back to his office. Then he says that I will be his first appointment at 9am. Frank Appliance Repair did a no show and didn't call. I called him and asked when is he going to come. He stubbled his words and said his excuse with some portal and he can't find the parts. His excuse of why didn't call me and let me know that he is not coming is, "I don't have your number". This company is unorganized, terrible customer service and argues with customers. If I could rate this company lower I would. Customers beware. read more

I called Frank when the burners on our Kitchenaid Cooktop wouldn't heat and the Power LED light wasn't lighting up. I called Frank when my 6 year old GE refrigerator unexpectedly "gave up the ghost". Frank started out asking about the symptoms of the death rather than getting my address and setting up an appointment. After about 10 minutes of this, Frank asked me if I was going to do the repair myself??? I described the problem with my microwave and he explained to me in depth what he thought it might be and that with the age of the appliance, why it might not be worth the cost of fixing it vs. purchasing a new one. I can't say enough about Frank. Our 13 yr old Maytag Fridge was leaking water. I didn't know who to call so checked out reviews on line. I choose Frank because of everyone's praise. This is an honest, hard working man. He asked what our problem was - had us check several areas, and then came over. Lucky for us, it was just a brittle water line that was leaking from the connection to the wall. It only involved getting a new line which he had handy on his truck. I had called him around noon and he was here around 2:30. I had told him he could wait for the next day, but he said, "oh no, I'll be out after my next call". Wow, now that's service. His fees are VERY reasonable. He is a very personable. honest, down-home guy and we feel so fortunate to have found him. We were worried that we would have to replace the fridge. I called several others and all they wanted to get me to do a service call. Frank came the next day. Very pleasant and and businesslike. Been doing this 15-20+ years recall? Frank is as good as it gets!! Went to bed the other night only to wake up to water all over my kitchen floor in the morning.. Wouldn't you know that my freezer had gone out. The crazy thing is we have a 2 yr plan to buy a new fridge but were not ready to buy one now... I am a handy man myself but not fridges so I did my research to troubleshoot and 3 potential issues: start relay was out, mother board issues or compressor.. After pulling the back off the fridge exposing the compressor I could not find the start relay even from the diagrams on the web.. I looked up fridge repairs in round rock and Frank came up with 1 excellent review. I called and what do you know he picked right up which was amazing to me,, I told him my situation not being able to find the start relay but was hoping to fix on my own.. To my surprise he offered help via phone to locate the start relay and a special trick to get the cover off the relay and did not charge me and said if I couldn't fix it that he would come down. 10 min later after getting to the relay and testing it per my research it did not seem to be the issue which was the cheapest thing to fix so I Called frank back and he said he would be down in an hour. He arrived within time committed too and he even took off his shoes per my request (not everyone has done th is) He tested the circuits and wires and found out it was a prob with the motherboard. He said that GE would typically make you buy a new mother board but he typically can fix so pulled it off, and found out the circuit just needed to be resoldered. Broke out his tools and told me instead of just resoldering if he added a stronger connection point it would last longer seeing GE's mother boards are not made to handle the voltage for years and years making the typical person to buy a new fridge. He repaired and replaced the motherboard and walla it was fixed. He also gave me tips that would help extend the life of my fridge and finally gave me advice on what fridges are best to buy per his years of maintenance. Frank also liked that I was paying in cash and gave me a slight discount but I gave him more b/c the typical maintenance man or GE repair would have cost me lots more. I HiGHLY recommend frank repair service for any appliance you are trying to stretch out the life of. The cost/benefit was huge and now he will be my first call for anything!!! Thanks Frank! Whenever it comes to repairs of any sort, I am immediately mistrustful, as are a lot of people. However, Frank is someone I trust completely. My last repair involved my dryer. He was very thorough and affordable. I felt like he really wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my money. He also took time to answer my question about another appliance. Recently my HE washer started leaking and he took lots of time trouble shooting with me. I think a lot of repairmen would charge me a lot to do something I could fix on my own. I called Frank around 10 am and he was at my house a little after 1pm to check out my broken dryer. It turned out my dryer was completely fine but my electrical socket that the dryer was plugged into had burnt out and was a fire hazard. He ran to lowe's and got the parts, brought back a receipt and charged me a fair and reasonable price for his labor. I highly recommend. I was about to schedule service with either of the two companies that the Whirlpool website contracts with in Cedar Park. But before I did I checked the Yelp reviews for both and they were not good. After talking with Frank and discussing the caked on lime deposits inside my dishwasher, he convinced me that I didn't need his service but needed a new dishwasher and a water softener.
