Both my sister and I took our vehicles to him over the holidays and Frank went out of his way to accommodate and coordinate so we could make sure to alternate our vehicles. Frank and his team are a much needed and great fixture in the Morgan Hill community. I am new to the area, but can easily see, through other reviews and word of mouth, how they have been faithfully serving their community for generations! (Literally!) I brought my car to Frank for a relatively small job that I unfortunately didn't have the tools to complete. They completed it with ease! I was a little concerned because I care for my car so much and generally prefer to do all work myself, but Frank understood that and I see the integrity with which his company runs. What can I say about Frank and his team? After taking my car to Frank's for oil changes and other routine services for over a year, my Mazda's air conditioning stopped working and for my car it seemed like it was all downhill from there. Despite all the problems my Mazda tried to throw at Frank and his team, they didn't quit on me or my car until it was completely fixed and I was happy. My work schedule didn't make it easy to bring my car in, but Frank worked with me and the customer service was beyond incredible. Very bad experience. They had the car for three weeks. They never contacted me to give me an update. I had to call them or go in to see what was happening. Bottom line they charged me for repairs and the car was not fixed. I even had to arrange my own tow to have the computer programed. The car was doing the same thing I brought it in for. I asked for a refund and he refused. I do not recommend this shop. I will not be going back and tell other not to go there. read more

Can't say enough about how great Frank is. I had an alarming oil puddle just before we were set for a Christmas road-trip. Even though he was fully booked, he told me to bring my vehicle in to make sure it was safe for our trip. Turns out we were good to go... what a relief. I've also sent my mom there for service and Frank even when he had an opportunity to charge to replace two parts with new parts, but he declined saying only one part was needing to be replaced. Brought my car to Frank for a no start diagnostic, I could not believe when he said "we don't charge for diagnostic". I mean, who does that? Refer to the receipt attached from C&M Auto Service charged $326 for the same exact problem while Kia dealer charge $225. A few days after my research on my car 2016 Kia Sorento I found out that it fall into a warranty repair. I called Frank and informed him about what I found and he said " no problem, your car will be ready for you to pick up. Showed up that day and my car was ready waiting for the tow truck . And it cost me nothing but a hand shake. He spend time checking my car, kept it in their shop until I am ready to get it and did not charge me for anything. Is there a service shop who does that? Came here for the first time and Frank and his son immediately treated me like family. I felt like I was a long time customer going to this shop for years. I brought in my 2005 Nissan Xterra because my check engine light came on, and I also got an oil change while my car was there. I was expecting to spend hundreds on repairs for my catalytic converter, but Frank just reset everything and my light hasn't come on since. I also had a broken window that wouldn't go down, and it seems like the reset also fixed that. Being fairly new to Morgan Hill, I was looking for an honest auto shop to take my cars to, and Frank's Auto Service definitely the place I'm planning to bring all my cars for service. If your looking for an auto repair shop in the Morgan Hill area, look no further! This place is legit! On a side note : I originally took my car to AAMCO on Tennant and they charged me $300 for the diagnostic, which was free at Franks Auto. They also recommended that I replace my catalytic converter and quoted me over 2K, and another $300 to fix the motor for my broken window. My A/C's been shot in our SUV GMC. I usually take my cars to the dealership but since there's an auto shop across from my office, I decided to take it there thinking it was a matter of putting freon in. Long story short, they said it was a broken house and were going to charge me an arm and leg. I called the dealership for an over the phone quote, and their price, of course, was a lot worse! I then brought it to my friend's mechanic and he said the job was going to be too big and laborious. I called three more shops in San Jose and nobody wanted to work on it. I don't know why I always feel like I have to go to SJ for everything. I decided to check in town and found Frank's Auto. I decided to give them a call because of their great reviews. OMG, I am so happy! Price was a lot better than I had anticipated and they had my car up and working great in just one day (even after I told Frank to take his time). They genuinely wanted to fix the job brought to them and were upfront and honest before they work on it. We found our mechanic, y'all! Had a tough trip a couple weeks ago. On my way to Monterey for work and my vehicle broke down in Morgan Hill. Thank God I found Frank's Auto Service. Three generations have built this amazing business and their pride in their work and their support of their customers shines through. They were fantastic from the start and Frank Sr even offered me a ride back to the hotel so I didn't have to walk in the heat. I have always took reviews on Yelp with a grain of salt, and many times not even bothering to write reviews on any businesses rather good or bad. Unless they are exceptionally good or bad, and in this case for Frank's auto service... they are exceptionally good, honest and reasonable! Called the day ahead asking for a quote on a tune up for a 2013 RX350 and was asked to bring the car in the next day because quote can't be given over the phone, they need to inspect it first. So, car was brought to his establishment the following day at 8am and I also informed Frankie that the car was also due for an 80k factory maintenance and definitely an oil change. Drop the key off to Frankie and was informed that it will probably take the whole day for pick up. Expecting the worst financial wise...I took a short walk to the Tennant Center for breakfast, bought movie ticket for the Endgame (to put myself in a better mood). And, that's when Frankie called to tell me car is ready for pick up, it was only 10am. Frankie said all I.needed was an oil change after his inspection and all is good at least until 90k miles. I could easily taken and paid if Frankie charges me for more on said tune up and 80k mile factory maintenance. I would definitely be returning with my other vehicles! I've worked with both Frank Sr and Frank Jr. Frank Jr runs the shop for the most part these days, and he's awesome. He goes way, way above and beyond to keep his customers happy. I wanted to take the time to give Frank's Auto repair shop a shot out, I moved to south county 3 years ago and was looking for a auto service place close by to take our vehicles. I found Frank through yelp reviews and was impressed with all the great reviews that I read, he goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. I use to take my VW bug to the dealership and quoted me almost $2,000. dollars for issues I was having with my coolant/ antifreeze Frank found the problem it only cost me less than $100.00 WOW!!!! Today we picked up my sons Ford Fiesta, he was having issues with the steering, had to have the steering wheel and airbag replaced. Frank answered his phone at 7pm! Talked to me at length about a car I wanted him to inspect for my son. Got us in with a couple days, drove the car, had it up on the rack, checked all the fluids and gave it a clean bill of health. Then he charged me.....zero? It was on the house. Want to start off by saying if you live in Morgan hill please use C&M auto as your shop they are reasonable in price you pay for what you get for and complete transparent and trustworthy my experience with Frank started off as comfortable he made me feel that I would be taken care of I brought my car to him with a drained battery and allegedly a bad alternator which I believe was not the complete truth I told him the issues that were happening with the vehicle so we started off with the battery that was drained and alternator that was bad "allegedly" after $1200 and two weeks after getting my vehicle from the shop the same exact problem was reccuring I reached out to Frank he was very hostile instead of welcoming this time around I told him the problems and it turned into somewhat of an argument he said things that he believed to have told me from our first conversation and before work was done which was not true he completely lied to me and I am grateful enough he took a second look at the car even though I missed several days of work because he made me drop off my vehicle a week later after the batter being completely drained on me once again he held it over the weekend saying he pulled and played with some fuses to see if the drain was coming from anything of that sort when I got my vehicle back after he held it the weekend because he wanted to "sink his teeth into it and get several different brains working on it" I opened my hood once I got my car home and there was a line disconnected so I called him and he denied that he pulled any fuses or anything of that kind it's funny because the only reason I left it there for the time I did was for that purpose and once again he flat out lied to me I'd recommend absolutely any other shop than this one again C&M auto is much more trust worthy than frank he'll lie to you and take your money with a smile while not fixing the problem I let him know absolutely everything that was happening with my vehicle and more to the smallest detail he even said he was so busy he was turning people away so I don't know if it was an easy job and easy money for him but he made you feel like a best friend until he's paid do not go to Frank he'll scam you out of money time and he will make you feel like you are the problem when trying to find a resolution! read more

I had taken my car to another shop and they were going to charge me over $500 to "fix" my car. My brother-in-law told me to wait and take it to Frank's auto service to get a second opinion. Frank not only fixed it (for $135) he told me to take it home and drive it for two weeks to see if it was really fixed before I had to pay him. After a very hectic and stress-filled 4 weeks, and with my car sitting idle in that time, I found that my Check Engine light came on. I had an oil change done (elsewhere), and suspected this might be something serious. Stopped by Frank's, and the mechanic on there did a quick check on what the error code was. Sadly, it was my catalytic converter, but we weren't sure how critical it was (ie, did it need to be fixed that week, or could I wait a week or two until my life settled a bit to tackle this?). He reset the Check Engine light, and told me that if it comes up again right away, to have it serviced. Unfortunately, it did come up the next morning. I went online and scheduled an appointment for that Friday. Long story short, one of the Franks took a look, called me up that night, and gave me an idea of what to expect with an ETA. Everything looked great, absolutely satisfied. I'm usually timid about leaving my car in a public area (for example, a parking lot with a store-chain mechanic). They have a large fence, barbed wire on top, and even police cruisers inside--I figure, if this is safe enough for the police, it's safe enough for me and my comparably few valuables. All in all, the reviews here are accurate. This was my first experience with Frank, but it was stellar. I felt like I was treated like a valuable customer, they really worked with me in my time of need right now, and that I could absolutely trust them. It could have been easy for them to pad the bill ("oh, we need to replace BOTH!", "we found this also broken", etc etc), but they were cost-conscience. And his ETA was on-the-mark. Being new in town, it's so difficult to find a mechanic, much less one that you can trust. I know I've found mine, and when we have future problems, I know where I'm going: to Frank's. read more

I happened to just stumble across this place when I first moved to MH; and I have not gone to another place since. Both Frank and Frank Jr. (Frankie) are just great people over all. I was prompted to write this long over due review because of my recent visit just yesterday. Brought in just for a service but Frank called me after about 30 min to mention a couple of issues. My two front tires were worn down and my battery was dying. He said I could hold off on the tires but the battery he recommended getting replaced very soon, since I've been having trouble starting my car lately. He told me he could do it right then for $150 and with my current bill it would be a little over $230 including tax. When I came in to pick up my car, Frank said there was no labor charge and the battery was $125 instead. It was now well under $200 including the tax! It's family owned, run efficiently and is very helpful for one on a budget. I highly recommend. read more
