Maybe I'm missing something but I just don't understand the hype of these Korean corn dogs. I got the potato hot dog and at $5 for what is literally just a hot dog on a stick covered in fried potatoes, it was very overpriced. As for the hot dog itself, it was nothing special. It tasted exactly how it looks - a fried hot dog and potatoes that needed the honey mustard, ketchup, and other sauces to give it some more flavor. Not only was the hot dog boring, it took them a long time to make it. We were the only people in the restaurant and from the moment I placed my order to the moment it was finally ready, I had gotten through at least 3 BTS music videos they were playing on their tv. I also ordered the Teokbbokki which was ok. It came with fish cakes and a hard boiled egg as well. The texture was a little soft but that may have been because I took it to-go and it wasn't as fresh as it would've been had I eaten it at the restaurant. Korean hot dogs which are technically corndogs are definitely a treat. I like to get the Half and Half so I can get both mozzarella cheese and hotdog. The only thing is, the mozzarella cheese is on the top half and the hotdog is on the bottom half. I prefer mine without sugar coating too. And then I top it off with a side of tteokboki to dip my corndog. Even though they look small, they can be really filling. If you've never tried a Korean hotdog, I recommend you try it at least once! They recently opened their second location not too long ago and I went to check out and compare to Frisco location, lol. //FOOD Basically tried the Seoul, Potato, and Potato Cheese Hot dogs (#1, 2, 4) along with Matcha Dalgona and Kiwi Ade. I have to say the hot dogs still taste great, only thing is it just takes too long to get the hot dogs (impatient person). I personally wanted to try Half Sausage Half Cheese Potato Dog, but it's way too expensive to my logic of adding potato for 1.5 when it's same as #4 ELOHEL. Anyways, the hot dogs (IK these are corn dogs in English, but in Korea, these are hot dogs HA) were well fried and not oily at all. The batter tasted great as well (didn't eat the literal batter, but the bread part you can say). The cheese was filled a lot and super stretchy. TIP with Korean Hot Dogs is to always coat with sugar, it's what makes this extra tasty. Going back, I always would recommend #6 with Half and Half w/ Potato added because you get to experience both sausage hot dog and cheese hot dog. Plus potato adds fullness to your stomach. Matcha Dalgona definitely needed more Dalgona bits, tasted straight up matcha latte with Dalgona bits here and there. I want to be able to taste Dalgona's burnt sugar flavor through matcha. Got the Seoul hot dog with ketchup and Dijon mustard, the texture was a little off from other Korean hotdog I had, I'm guessing they didn't use rice flour so the texture was less chewy then what I'm used to. The teokbbokki was okay, nothing bad about it and it's satisfying. The drinks were really good! Wasn't expecting it to be sparkling, but my Korean boyfriend explained to me any "ade" in Korea is sparkling, which goes really well with the fried food. Overall pretty good. read more

If you want to keep things simple, you can't go wrong with the Seoul dog (#1) or the one with fried potatoes on the outside. They are all very decently sized. Hotteok is pretty much perfection in authenticity. Ddukkboki is the soupy kind. They have a large variety of sauces. Mix the hot sauce and ketchup for some zing. Honestly, I was super skeptical about the concept of this restaurant but it seems to be popular! My sister convinced me to go and we shared a few things. They have a variety of "corn dog" like options which were very interesting to me. We got the potato coated mozzarella with sugar on top and I'm not going to lie, I thoroughly enjoyed it! My new favourite Korean hot dog place in North Dallas! Even better than Oh K-Dog & Egg Toast. The cheese pull here is insane and the hot dog delicious. All these are pretty standard across the industry. But what is truly insane here is how well they make their batter. No matter if it's the normal skin or the potato skin, both retain their crunch so well. They were so big and cheap and flavorful and I bought two thinking it'd be small but after one I was completely stuffed. I recommend jalapeño dog easily. Half and half was also good but I had it hours later so I'm sure it's a lot better right out the kitchen. She even gave recommendations and was extremely friendly. As for the cheese dogs they were the best I have had. The first bite is crispy and crunchy, then it becomes pillowy and cheesey. The sauces were okay but these shine without them. We got one with sugar and one without. I liked them both the same. The sugar coated one is not overwhelmingly sweet it's just a hint. I have been able to try almost all their food and I love it all. The hotdogs are a big size and they put the perfect amount of sugar on top (if you want sugar). Their honey garlic sauce goes so well with the hot dogs. Last but not least their Hotteok (Korean sweet pancakes) are soooo good. So glad this place came to Carrollton! read more

What a yummy surprise! Even though a friend recommended Frankseoul, I am still delighted by how good it was. Six of us ordered the 7dogs to get a discount. We tried the basic, the no-dog mozzo w potato, and I LOVED my jalapeño dog (add mozzarella on top--amazing!) and even though I could have stood spicier, I think it was fine. Had to share notes of both the cream cheese/jelly dog and then...here's the beat for last---would order the Nutella pancake dish (Hotteok) for my last meal ever! Only 4.5 stars bc we would have liked to try the drinks, but $5-6 was unreasonable. But, the portions definitely justified the price on the entrees. Can't wait to go back! read more
