I have passed this place hundreds of times and finally stopped in for my first time. Service was outstanding. Portion size was good. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the bbq, bbq sauces or sides. Everything seemed to be good quality but just not anything special in my humble opinion, compared to other similar restaurants in the Valley. I may return to try their St Louis style pizza but not the BBQ. read more

I'm gonna give you more than you ever wanted to know about "Provele" cheese. Google it. I did. I had to google it just to spell it. See, in St. Louis...there is a staple of cheese commonly used on pizza called Provele. Provele cheese. Before I get ahead of myself, I'll strongly suggest you immediately go and try Frasher's St Louis pizza. And, of course, it's got this Provele cheese. Provele is a pasteurized cheese, melts perfectly and is delicious. Very melty. Very cheesy. But in other words, it's a well-accepted Italian Cheese-Whiz. You heard me. Italian Cheese Whiz. You can laugh, you can scoff, today I bought a large sausage pizza from Frashers and it was FRIGGIN' DELICIOUS!! Unusual. Not a standard tasting pizza. Delicious, creamy. Can't wait to go back. I got a 16" sausage, mushroom and onion, extra sauce. It was just under $30. Everything's expensive nowadays. All things considered, a real value. By the way, while, waiting for my pizza at the bar, I happen to chat with a gentleman who probably was the store manager. He was truly excited by the new pitmaster he had hired, and how proficient this person was! That's exciting! "Owner/operator" is a the best combo for the customers. And an owner/operator who is still excited by the business is even better. I'll come back for another pizza and I'll get some good bbq too! read more

This restaurant gets 4 stars for service. It was my first time dining here. I wanted to try the wing appetizer because I thought they might be smoked or grilled. As I placed my order I asked the cashier how were the wings prepared, are they smoked, grilled or fried. She answered advising how they are prepared in the smoker then I believe she said placed on the grill. So based off that I ordered them. I also ordered the burnt ends sandwich with a side of fries. Unfortunately when my wings arrived they were beautifully fried. Whe she came to the table to check on me, I kindly let her know that I didn't want fried wings and I had ordered them based off her explaining they were not fried. She nicely said she misunderstood and advised her manager. She offered to take the wings back and the manager came over to let me know he was going to refund me for them. He explained how they prepare their smoked chicken which is what the cashier had explained to me. So a simple misunderstanding. The manager ended up giving me a few of the wings to try and they were tasty. The burnt ends were tasty too, but a little overcooked. The fries were pretty good. read more

Recently I went to visit Phoenix for spring training and came across this bbq joint. It was early for dinner, so it wasn't busy. But let me tell you a few things! For starters this space is great! For groups, casual dinner, parties, this place has great ambiance! I ordered some brisket and pulled pork. I wanted to try the burnt ends, but they were out of it.. :( I opted for baked beans and the cornbread. The dinner take out pretty quick and was so delicious. The meat and sauce tasted perfect and smoked, just like good bbq should. My only complaint of any was the meat wasn't hot but warm. It's just personal liking, I would've liked the meat a bit hotter. Service is impeccable! Everyone from placing order to getting food was a service with a smile and super nice, friendly staff. Everyone took the time to chat with you and really make you feel welcomed. The restaurant has plenty of parking and a nice outdoor eating area for those nice, hot Phoenix nights. My workplace ordered a thanksgiving feast from Frasher's and I personally enjoyed every bite of the meal. Since I went to pick it up - I can say the restaurant smelled SO good. When you enter the establishment you're smacked in the face with the most delicious bbq smell & it seriously opened my appetite. I was so excited for this. The inside of the restaurant has a little history fact of the restaurant which I enjoyed reading while waiting to be assisted. The lady up front assisted with the order was very nice & I must add that a gentlemen whose name I want to say was Mario, but I cannot remember for sure helped bring the heavy box to my car! Was invited for lunch with my wife's sister. She had been here before and liked it enough to invite us to eat with her. The order was two pulled pork sandwiches a barbecue chicken sandwich and for me the Gumbo. Everyone enjoyed their sandwiches as I did my Gumbo. The chicken sandwich really looked good. There was almost a full chicken breast. This would be my next order when I return. The gumbo was good full of meat. Seasoned well. It came with corn bread. The corn bread was good. I am sure everyone that get the cornbread likes it. Time to go off just a little about cornbread. I was raised on a farm. We grew corn for the cows. There was always a couple of rows of corn that was white corn. My Mom always said the yellow corn was for the cows and the white corn was for people. So I was raided on white corn meal for corn bread. Oh! and without sugar. We took the corn to the mill. Took two bushels each time. One bushel for us one bushel to the mill. Even trade. I will definitely eat here again when I am in the area. I have a friend I believe needs to eat here. read more

One of my favorite places for BBQ in the valley. Ordering is easy and quick although they sometimes run out of my favorites which are the brisket and turkey. My bf loves the ribs and Mayfair salad. I think he feels better about eating BBQ when there is a salad involved! lol We almost can't live without the Burnt Ends pizza and we always get one to share even though we usually end up taking half of what we ordered home. Service was through the roof!! Waitress was available but not hovering which I like. We had the four meat, two sides meal. The food was good but a little dry on the chicken. Our second trip to this eatery revealed some wonderful specials and barbecue done well. Friday was catfish day and my wife had a beautiful big fillet of catfish with a side of broccoli and hush puppies. Very nice dusting of corn meal on the fish, and fried but not greasy. I had the brisket sandwich which was very nice, and sides of beans, the best I've had with pieces of meat in them, and coleslaw that was not too creamy. The service was particularly friendly and pleasant, with them coming over check on us frequently with a genuine desire to please. Holy Cow! (pun intended) Pros - Service - my wife and I were greeted with the most welcoming, kind, and informative lady at the register where you order. She explained everything to us on the menu and recommended us sharing the 4 meat platter to get a taste of multiple items, and we did. Food - We had the Brisket, Burnt Ends, Turkey, and Pulled Pork. I cannot honestly tell you which is my favorite because they were just all equally moist, flavorful, and amazing; with the platter came 2 sides that are large enough to feed 3 people easily, and enough meat to stuff all 3 of you plus take a little home. The manager came through checking on our food and experience and was so kind and thoughtful. When he found out this was our first time here he came from the kitchen with a generous size sample of their butter cake, and MAN is that cake what some fantasy's are a part of (don't judge me, you know you've felt this way about something you've put in your mouth before too), its packed with butter and caramel lusciousness and DOUBLE AMAZING! Paid up front (which I appreciated) and my food came within 5 minutes. Would I come again? Not on my own. But I wouldn't say no if I met others for lunch or dinner. Service - 5 Great and nice people. Talked to me about my day, where I was from, etc. Can't complain about anything Food - 3 I'll preface that I've enjoyed Texas BBQ so that is what I'll compare Frasher's too. This day I got a 2 meat plate - ribs + brisket and 2 sides, mac/cheese + broccoli. The meats weren't bad, but they weren't moist or tender. The BBQ sauce definitely helped. I was also given 4 thin slices of brisket. Again, wouldn't matter if they were juicy but I was sad wanting more. The sides weren't anything to write home to - they got the job done. I arrived at 815p on 3/19/25. Sign said to seat yourselves. Although several servers passed by me, I was ignored for 20 min. Not acknowledged at all. I'm diabetic and really needed to eat, so for health reasons, I did not go elsewhere, otherwise I would have left. One server ignored me as I said excuse me. Finally a very nice guy came over and took my order. But, the damage was done. Other than the guy, it was a horrible, horrible experience. This is the first barbecue place I've been to in Phoenix. My rating is technically a 3.75, but I rounded up because the owners are really nice : ) I got the combo platter with 3 choices of meats--I chose the turkey, the tri-tip, and the pulled pork. The turkey was better than expected 3/5, the tri-tip was my fav 4/5, and the pulled pork was good, not great 4/5. I wasn't a big fan of their sweet sauce, which is normally my go to. It was too watery for me. But... the butter cake was ridiculous! Very rich. Similar but better, in my opinion, than tiramisu. read more

We ordered catering for our company. It was my first time trying Frasher's, but they had solid yelp reviews and I took a chance. Despite the busy holiday season, they accommodated a large 24 hour catering order. And, I'm so glad Bobby Qs was 48. Hands down the best bbq I've had in town. Tessa was amazing to work with. All of our staff were impressed and asked where we got the great food. We will definitely be catering from them again, and I'm sure they earned a lot of solo customers, as well, from staff. Some people ate seconds before the end of day, others grabbed dibbs to take home any leftovers. For those wondering, we got... Ribs, chicken, brisket, Mac, mashed potatoes, loaded potato salad, collards, beans, coleslaw, cornbread, salad...the works, and it was all fresh and delicious. I highly recommend! read more

Was in the area running some errands and cant pass up bbq for a meal. The decor inside and out is really cool. Staff is super friendly and attentive, prices are reasonable and you get your food fast. Ribs come dry then you add your own sauce which I like because some folks drown theirs and others (me) dont lol. The baby backs were very meaty which is rare at some restaurants. Only reason I knocked off a star is because the fries seemed undercooked and had little to zero seasoning so I didnt even bother eating them. Which wasnt a huge deal because the 1/2 lb of ribs and cornbread filled me up. I'd just suggest they cook the fries to a more golden brown and maybe use some kind of seasoning (homemade or store bought) to give it some flavor. Frisher's smokehouse I love PECAN wood smoked meats I ended up getting the three meat combination. Pulled pork, brisket, and ribs, they were bomb, cooked perfect. I had them give me a sample of the gumbo. I loved my side of corn, it was so flavorful, and I really, really liked my green chili macaroni and cheese. The barbecue sauces were homemade and goodNow stupid 7 miles to 7B, but my favorite was the tangy. Ace, Sam and Chris you were all wonderful and I will see you again soon. The purest definition of customer service. I placed an order via GrubHub that was delivered to the wrong address. I was able to finally speak to GrubHub (after waiting on hold for 45 minutes) and the cancelled the order, refunding my money. The owner, George Frasher, called me personally after he was advised by GrubHub and offered to make a new order and drive it to me. Their food is absolutely amazing but this was above and beyond. First time visiting, we went for HH & sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly however not very attentive, you should never have to ask for another drink when your glass is empty & he was not busy. We tried the 2 hh specials, sliders & tacos, both very underwhelming really dry meat (chicken & pork) the highlight of these was the chef's homemade hot sauce.. very hot & flavorful. While we were there a lot was going on that was very distracting, a big set up on the patio for a high school volleyball team & some influencers taking pictures & getting what seemed like the entire menu to sample! We had heard great things about the St Louis pizza & rib tips, so we flagged down a waitress to order. now this was very Yummy, we requested the spicy bbq sauce as the base, meat was flavorful & still tender even after cooking the pizza. Our party of 3 went to dinner at Frasher's last night. It smelled so good when we walked in and I felt even hungrier since I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. I want to say we waited maybe 30 minutes for the server to take both our drink and food order. We maybe waited another 30-45 minutes for our drinks and food. I didn't think the sides were very good, and one of our party members complained that he remembered when the place sold bigger, better ribs for less. I did think the ribs and BBQ sauce tasted very good, but I didn't think our bill at the end of the night was worth the overall quality of the food and experience combined, especially since we were at the restaurant for a little over 2 hours with all the waiting. read more

"Are you kidding me?" Those were my first words after the food was delivered - and they were not words of happy surprise, but of huge disappointment. If you want a short review, here you are: go someplace else. Otherwise, read on for why they received such a low rating. My sister was craving BBQ so we stopped in to Frasher's last night, around 4:30. They have a large outdoor patio, live music until 5:00. There was another portion of the patio on the front, well shaded, where the music was not as loud. It is a large place w/ ample parking. While placing our order the first thing I noticed was there were no ingredients / toppings listed for their sandwiches. Stupidly, I didn't ask; I assumed it would be the typical fixins. B-I-G mistake. We initially sat inside but it was such a beautiful day we moved to the front patio. No one was there; they were all on the side enjoying the music. The sweet tea was good. Unfortunately, that is where the "good" stopped. Our plastic plates & plastic silverware were delivered to our table, with three small plastic containers of different BBQ sauces. If you look at the pictures, you'll see my sandwich (and I use that term loosely!!) was nothing but slabs of turkey tossed between a sesame bun. BORING! and dry. The baked beans were bad, lukewarm with what I guess were onions & peppers. Lukewarm. Same with the fried ravioli appetizer. I would bet money they came out of a box, into the microwave, onto the plate. My sister got the tri trip & pulled pork platter w/ garlic mashed potatoes and mac 'n cheese. Potatoes were barely warm, everything else was stone cold. She took two bites. At this point her words were "I left too large of a tip". I didn't even touch my sandwich. She went back in to see if we had missed a buffet where sandwich fixins would have been. We didn't. When the server came back out, I asked him where the rest of the sandwich was, lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, etc. He said there weren't any. I had to ask for it. By the time he brought out a plate of lettuce, two tomato slices, and a few pickles, we were both so annoyed we packed up the food and walked out - and walked across the driveway to eat at d'Lite - Healthy On The Go (which was way better). Why did we take the food? Because we were raised not to waste it - and knew by taking it home, we could add flavor and other items to it to make it worth while - and we could HEAT IT UP. I read the reviews for Frasher's, many were 4 & 5 stars, quite a few from Yelp! elite members. I can only surmise that those reviews are from family members, or that Frasher's new they were coming because I honestly have no idea how anyone could give Frasher's such high ratings for cold, naked, bland food. read more

I've driven past this place dozens of times on our way to other destinations but never stopped in until recently, I am glad we decided to try out Frasher's Smokehouse. We went in around 1230pm on a Sunday so we got in at just the right time as the place wasn't packed and there was plenty of parking open. Just from pulling up you can smell the amazing aromas coming from the restaurant. The lunch time rush started right as we were leaving. When you get inside you can order, grab a seat, and your food is brought to your table. They also have a bar to order drinks if you want something other than soda, however we skipped that this time around. Instead we opted for their house made lemonade and fruit punch both of which were excellent but the fruit punch was my favorite. We tried the Pepperoni pizza, pulled pork, turkey, ribs, cornbread, garlic mashed potatoes, beans, coleslaw, and gooey cake. All of the food was excellent, I was pretty surprised at the quality of meat because you usually end up with at least a bit of fat but I didn't run into any of that while I was eating. The customer service was wonderful, they really make you feel at home. Even my picky kids loved their food! The meats were fantastic, the pizza was some of the best we've had and the sides were pretty great as well. I highly suggest getting the corn bread when you go! The gooey cake is really sweet, we only ate about half of it so we weren't loaded down with sugar. Restaurant wise I thought the place felt cozy and the next time we go we discussed sitting in the outdoor area during nice weather. Their bathrooms are also clean and well taken care of. The only thing I could think of that might be a negative is the restaurant itself is a bit dark, even with light coming in from the front windows the lights inside could be a bit brighter since there are no windows along the side of the building or in the back.
