I went for a service and the service was itself was good, it's the customer service that needs some improvement. The representative I got was stuck to his computer like a robot. I asked where the waiting area was and he pointed in the general direction. When the vehicle was ready and I went to the cashier, she didn't seem to interested to help either. If I could give zero stars I would. They aren't even deserving of one. Me and my husband walked around their lot for 10 minutes and no one asked if we needed help. Then we went inside to ask for assistance and the four women sitting at the front desk all acted as if they were too busy to even ask what he needed and blatantly ignored him. We then saw three sales guys leaning on a car typing on their phones and ignored is as we walked past. Then they all walked off when were were approaching for help. Not sure what this was about but I can't help but to think it was race related because they are weren't that busy to not have helped us.l especially when they we're sitting around outside on golf carts and scrolling on their phones. Oh well missed out on a commission check. Their lost. I guess my business wasn't needed or wanted. Fred Haas Toyota World is one of the most unethical businesses I have ever come across. MAJOR (AND VERY DANGEROUS) COLLISION DAMAGE They sold me a vehicle that had major collision damage but never told me about it. A collision shop (Pinnacle in Tomball) told me that there was no way that the dealership did not know about the damage. Caliber said they wouldn't touch it because it had been worked on after the collision but not fixed correctly. (Given that the service record showed that Fred Haas service shop serviced the car, it would not surprise me if Fred Haas' collision shop "fixed" the collision damage but fixed it incorrectly.) Because of this damage, the lights do not point straight at night. This is very dangerous because I cannot see well in rural areas. Basically I'm driving a death trap. THEIR 180-POINT INSPECTION AND MECHANICAL PROBLEMS I was told that there was a 180-point inspection. If that's true, they did an inspection but didn't fix anything. If it's not true, well that's another lie. The air conditioner did not work, a license plate light was out, and the steering wheel vibrated at high speeds. I've gotten most of this fixed but had to pay over $3,000! I still am dealing with random stall-outs after braking as well as very poor gas mileage even though its a Toyota Camry. APPARENTLY THIS IS MY FAULT I complained to Fred Haas and I was told that it was my fault for buying a "cash car" with high mileage. Further, I was told that they do not do close inspections of cars with high mileage. Well why even put it on the lot? Plus it's a contradiction of the supposed 180-point inspection that the sales guy, Mike Hogan told me about. Liar! THEIR "CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGER" Don't bother leaving a message with their so-called "Customer Relations Manager" either. He'll never call you back if you leave a voicemail. Scammers!!!! LESSONS LEARNED In the future, I'll just buy my used cars from CarMax, or at the least, a dealership that is part of a major company such as Group 1 or Lithia. Also, I'll make sure not to go car shopping when I'm really tired and it's easier to get to fall for salespeople's high pressure tactics. read more

This update is very specific: it's for Fred Haas' repairs and oil change service. Oh good grief. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because for years my husband had his vehicle serviced here regularly with no complaints. He also did have a major repair done here (Toyota defect that required a complete replacement of the dashboard) and they did a great job. No one ever did an oil change on his beloved SUV other than Fred Haas. Despite the fact that our son, a certified technician, moved back into town and works locally, my husband continued to return to Toyota for oil changes. Recently, though, the vehicle needed some major maintenance due to age that was quite labor intensive. Our son did the work literally for the price of parts. What he discovered was shocking: the splash guard (a large metal plate that is located on the front underside of the vehicle that must be removed when doing oil changes) had 2 of its 4 screws/holes stripped so that it could not be remounted properly. Toyota, on the last oil change, had somehow forced the screws in to hold it in place, which completely stripped them. Since the splash guard had to be removed to complete this recent maintenance, a complete re-working of the screw holes is now required because the splash guard now rattles when the engine idles since it's not secured properly. The oil pan was missing 2 of the 4 screws required to hold it in place, too. We replaced what Toyota has laying somewhere on their garage floor. I do believe my husband has made his last visit here for service, and rightfully so. read more

These people are unconcerned about their customers. We had a 130 appointment with the Internet manager to see two cars that he was holding for us. When we got there we never even met the man he never came out of his office I don't even know if he was there at work today to other people helped us the gentleman that showed us one car we took it for a test drive and he didn't have any air conditioner how can you sell a car for $15,000 with no AC in the state of Texas. Let's move onto the second vehicle I asked where it was and he said he could not find the key and someone must've hidden the vehicle. ***1/2/15 Update*** I left a voice mail message with Mr. Salazar in Customer Relations a few days after his post, since he didn't answer the phone. I left my name and number for him to return my call. He never called back. This only shows that they don't really care. They just have a rep post to pretend they're concerned and cover all their bases. I would've liked them to at least offer to check my wiring like the lady said when I first made the appointment to have it checked. I don't care if they think it wasn't related. To ease my concern, they could've checked anyway as Toyota customer. I like Toyota vehicles. We have 5. I'm just not happy with this dealership. Glad we bought my car originally from Sterling McCall. I just wish it wasn't on the other side of town. I've been here 3 or 4 times for corolla recalls. Never really had an issue with them, except they overcharge for parts (but that's expected). I had a passenger airbag recall 3 weeks ago. My CD player was working before that, but after, it stopped working. I haven't used the CD player since then but tried it last week. Nothing. I thought it might've been a wiring issue when they did the recall, so I called for an appointment. I wasted my time and had to get up at 6 am just for the service guy to tell me the two things aren't related. When I made the appointment and explained my issue, they could've told me that. I even made the appointment a few days before. The service manager could've reviewed the issue prior and just call me. The only good thing was that he had a person to recommend to fix it after I asked. Other than that, the place is clean, has free WiFi, offers shuttle service, and serves free coffee. I purchased a new vehicle from this dealership last june and purchased a care plan for $1200. Today I go in to get scheduled service and was told I needed a new engine air filter and I okayed it. When the servicing of my vehicle was completed I was given a bill for over $100 and upon reviewing it I learned that I was charge about $26 for the engine air filter but was bill almost $116 for the labor involved in installing the filter. I recently purchased a new 4Runner from Fred Haas Toyota on 5/15/2022 and wanted to express my dissatisfaction on the whole experience. Once you sign the contract, they don't give a damn about you anymore. I feel the finance team took advantage of my lack of knowledge about purchasing a car. I have repeatedly call in numerous time asking for the general manager and my finance advisor Miguel Garcia hoping to get an answer on how a 45k loan become 57k loan. The car was around 53k for total walk out with 7500 down payment so loan amount was only around 45-46k but my loan was 57k (what add-on that went up 12k? Interest, warranties or fees?) I did not get a copy of my contract. I only have a couple page of document but it was missing page so I was hoping to get an explanation on what happened but what I get was being transferring around with no answer. I need a copy of my contract and asked for copies of the paperwork so I could review it. I wanted to reach out to them solve the problem first but still no one got back to me. Buying a 4runner sr5 from salesman with agreement total around 53k walk out, after in and out the financial door with deposit become a total of 64k plus 12k interest for 84 months. By times I done paying it will be 76k. Everything is already signed, there is nothing much I can do now. I'm officially filing complaints with BBC, FTC, Texas attorney general, CFPB and FCC. I might not get any results but who knows. I don't want to let them get away with it just like that and for those who think or feel they have been fraud or rip off but don't know what to do should file a complaint at those places I listed too so if a business gets a read more

Had an issue, they tried to make it right. The lady that called me to try and rectify the issue was nothing short of phenomenal. I was at a point where I was going to just write off the 2 years free maintenance and go to another dealership for my needs. Parts were delayed due to delivery issues ,which I understand , but no communication from service advisor, thru the whole experience and took over a week, when I got the car back home the would not start again , Fred Haas sent a tow truck to pick up vehicle again and part was missing from the vehicle . They made me an offer on a vehicle that I liked. I drove up there to test drive it and decided I wanted to go forward with it. After going forward with their financing, their finance specialist continued to raise the price several times until I finally got it back to the offer that I agreed-upon. When I asked to see the paperwork, they withdrew their offer. So they ran my credit and made me drive an hour to look at a vehicle that they ended up withdrawing on. Buyers beware. Made an appointment for 1. Was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half without knowing what exactly I needed done. Additional services were needed which I accepted which was my mistake because they have no estimated time as to when it would be completed. Communication was terrible to say the least. Ended up being here for an additional 2 hours give or take. 3 hours in total waiting for my car to be serviced. If that was case, i could've dropped off my car and came back at a later time. On an additional note, over heard a customer ask a customer service rep if his car was done. The rep stated "I don't know. I don't have the keys so I guess not". Not friendly whatsoever. read more

Had a great experience a couple of years ago.Decided to go with internet sales this time; we drove 200 miles and had a really had a bad experience with S. Vaughn. She low balled me on the trade, despite the quote she had sent earlier.Do not trust the "what is my trade worth" online quote. It's just to get you in the door. Once they have you, the sales person starts playing the back and forth with the manager. I made a deal, but did not feel good about it and felt pretty beat up at the end. I had planned 2 more trades in the near future, but I feel so soured that Fred Haas will no longer get my business. BTW the RAV 4 hybrid was woefully unprepared off the lot. The only thing they did for us was sync our phones. After I got home, I had to turn the tailgate on, set up the lights, and the locks. read more

The car battery in my 2017 Prius died. I also had a slow leak in one of the tires. I talked to JP in the service department to see if they offered mobile service. They don't, but he looked up my warranties. Turns out that Toyota Care includes towing service and my battery was still covered under the 3 year warranty. A local towing company took the car to Fred Haas service. They fixed everything (including current warranty service) in a few hours. JP was nice enough to keep the car overnight so I could pick it up in the morning. When I arrived, they were abiding by social distancing guidelines. (I wear a mask and gloves the rare times I go out.) Didn't cost me a dime. My only complaint is that I wished they had washed the car, but maybe they're not doing that now. And, the guy who drove my car was not wearing a mask. But I brought my bleach-soaked rags to wipe things down. read more

Three comments: 1) Jimmy Nguy was my salesman and I totally agree with other compliments About him. He is in the internet sales group and that is the only way to go. He was clear, accommodating, communicative, followed trough with what he said he would do. I feel I got a good deal on my new Highlander and was very happy. Would recommend Jimmy and buy from this dealership again because of him. 2) Roy Robledo - parts department - simply AMAZING customer service. I wanted to replace (as a surprise) the torn and dirty cloth seats with leather in my BF's 2008 Tundra work truck as a bday present. Roy walked me thru the entire process - pricing, color selection, scheduling, installation, detailing (it was a mess inside). He could not have been nicer, more communicative, texting me updates, taking pictures during the process, arranging for a rental car so I would not have to wait. The final outcome was incredible. My BF thought I bought him a new truck (Ha!) Like I said, utterly amazing experience thanks to Roy and would highly recommend. 3) Kevin Baker -Service dept. Very busy man, but very efficient and helpful. Brought my brand new Highlander in to fix an issue with the center console going off track. My experience here was amazing due to Jacob Middleton. I had been contemplating buying a new car for a while and doing some research for just as long . Jacob made it as quick and simple as I had hoped for . With a terrible experience at another dealership(Tejas) the day before(went there because Fred Haas wasn't doing test drives saturday), I walked in to Fred Haas, told Jacob exactly what I wanted , and around what I was looking to pay and him and the finance team made it happen . He was so personable and straight to the point. It was a breath of fresh air . I got in , got my beautiful new 2018 Toyota camry and got out . Drove it home that night . I was originally offered 3.99% as its a new model but when I was offered $10,000.00 more add-on services I was supposedly be approved for 2.89%, which I refused to accept though I was approved for 2.89% for my 2018 Sequoia of which was based on my excellent credit score. Since I refused all other add-on cost Jennifer Welch bump my apr to a whooping 4.14%-- way to go Jennifer Welch, WORST FINANCE OFFICER EVER experienced from a toyota dealership especially this is my 4th car with toyota financial.... I spoke with the service department to schedule a recall repair. I was assured that the required part was on order and would be ready for our appointment. We got to the dealer on the day of the appointment and dropped off the car. Some time later we were told that the needed part had not even been ordered and that it would be another week. I am writing this review with a very dissatisfied experience due to unethical and irresponsible commitment by sales team of Fred Haas Toyota World, Spring Houston. These guys are making all wrong commitments just to meet there month end targets. I gave my deposit to these guys well in advance for Toyota Sienna, after that they said it will not be available in near future and offered if i was ok for Highlander. Without looking at the car and without having any limitations to the options and colors i agreed to take this. I told them about all my documentation work and cross checked multiple times that if you can close this only lets move ahead otherwise we can call it off right now without wasting time. They are confident and went ahead as they wanted to meet there targets. After few days they called me said please come down everything is ready, i check 3 times that if things are ready as we agreed only then i will come otherwise i dont want to waste my trip, but the sales person (Mr. Carter) was extremely confident saying yes please come over and we will manage. I reach and they directed me to finance department who without giving me details about my finance straight jumped to different value added options i can get. After insisting on that what the APR they are offering me they shared the details and to my surprise it was 3 times what we had agreed for and they thought i will sign and close on things without checking this. I clearly understood the intentions that they thought lets calls the customer here as we have month end to meet and he will agree and whatever terms we offer. I was annoying and i felt cheated as i wasted half working day of mine and took leave for half day and wasted $100 on the uber to reach there (when before starting i asked them 4 times that are the things agreed as we discussed). The most frustrating part was the sales director (Mr Billy) who just rushed in and said we are sorry we cannot go back in time and undo what we communicated to you, do you want to close the deal or not we have 5 customers waiting. Is this the way they treat there customers. I checked on other models and this guys Billy has absolutely no idea about the differences. I really feel cheated that because of their over commitments and unethical practice to meet the month end target they wasted half of my working day and $100 for my to and fro trip. So I submitted for a quote on Toyota's website for a 22 Tundra and got a call back from FRED Haas saying I would be put on their list if the model I specified became available. Fast forward a week later (today), get a call from the dealer that the exact build I wanted in the exact color I wanted came in today and that the person that had put a deposit on it had BACKED OUT! No WAY, right? So I ask her to double check because as fast as these thing seem to be flying off the shelf I don't want to make the 45 min drive and have it sold out from under me. She assured me, if so, she would call me while I was in transit so I can turn around. I grab my checkbook and run out the door. I get there and was greeted by the person expecting me. Turns out not only do they NOT have the truck (never did) but that the two that were there (not the model I was even interested in) had been for customers with deposits and that I couldn't even sit in one. He then said there must have been a misunderstanding because they thought I was coming in to put a deposit on one! BAIT AND SWITCH. Man dealers are just a sleezy as they have always been. I know..I know... I'm trusting and dumb... too good to be true. Just thought I'd share so no one else gets hoodwinked. Total waste of time and gas.... Won't ever do business there for sure! Just FYI was working with Sharon Vaughn (claimed to be internet sales manager) and her partner Danny. Decided to make the drive over just to find out the 9 they had in stock were sold. So after a brief conversation gave them a $500 deposit for the next one they got in. Well here's where the real scam started. A salesman calls stating that my truck was there, after asking to verify the price he RAISED it $6k with the excuse the online price was the "fleet Price". After a while he changes the story- the truck was an "upgrade" from what I ordered. Believe me it's not Fred Haas since I bought a better truck at another one of his locations (in and out in a few hours). Seems to be an ongoing problem for other customers, STAY AWAY! read more

Just like Mike from Missouri City, they too told us they had a vehicle coming on April 7th and to be able to hold the vehicle we needed to put money down. No problem because we are buying a car right, WRONG! We put the $500 down on the car to be able to hold it for us, also had pictures and a vin but when April 7th came there was no vehicle. We asked for our money back and they said too bad it was non refundable. We would have never put money down had we known there was no car coming!! Talked to the Sales manager Scott Young and he pretty much said too bad you signed a non refundable deposit and hung up. I recently purchased a 2019 Tundra TRD Pro. I love the machine, but my experience with customer service thus far at Fred Haas has been frustrating. The radio shuts down sporadically every 3 to 7 minutes, drops calls consistently. I took it in to service nearly a month ago. The radio would "be fixed within 5-7 days" they said. I called on day 7 to check since I hadn't heard anything. They hadn't even ordered the replacement yet. Another 7 days later they told me it would take several weeks due to back orders. I asked to speak with a manager and they said they would call me back. Two days later I'm still waiting for that call. Ominous sign for a $60000 vehicle that is 6 months old perhaps. If this is what I should expect, I wish I would have considered other options before buying. read more

If I ever get another Toyota, I will likely not be buying from Fred Haas. In Apr'22 I met with a Fred Haas Sales rep, gave a $500 check and signed a document to buy a new '23 Capstone Sequoia. I was told I was at the top of the list. About Dec'22 I was told there were others in front of me on the list and I was at the top of my Sales rep's waitlist, not a Fred Haas waitlist. Whaaat????? Who would come to Fred Haas, leave a check and sign a doc to be on top of some sales rep's list? They wouldn't tell me how many on the waitlist were ahead of me. Later I said I would consider other colors in hopes of getting one. Later an Internet Sales person told me Fred Haas was getting 30 to 40 Sequoias a month. The whole waitlist process was very much a joke, as it appears there was no fair/objective list. Bottom line, it seems the sales mgt team was picking and choosing who got the new Sequoias. 10 months after initially leaving the check to be on a list for a new Capstone Sequoia, I asked for my check back. To their credit, the Customer service mgr returned my check. Which was fair, but I was very disappointed. My family had been loyal Toyota owners for almost 2 decades, until now. The Lincoln dealership across the highway was the total opposite, very transparent. read more
