I used to go to Sloan's across the street--they blew a big event for me when they failed to get a suit cleaned by the time they they had promised--couldn't be bothered to say even "sorry for the inconvenience"... Hey, no problem, since as a result I discovered the delightful people across the street--they are genuinely warm, friendly people, recognize their customers by sight if not by name, always do a great job ON TIME... and their on-site tailor, with whom I initially held my breath as I left Tom Ford, Prada and Gucci items for restructuring, I now trust with pretty much any post-purchase tailoring I do... she's never let me down. This is the kind of business I actively enjoy patronizing, not just use as a necessity. Oh, yeah--their recent shoe repair addition did a great job on some rocking D Squared sandals I had almost written off... and they also fixed numerous jeans for which i had worn out the crotches. read more

This dry cleaning establishment has shredded 5 of my Brunello Cucinelli and recently just ruined a $5,000 suit. They have never taken responsibility, apologized or don't anything to compensate. I've been going here for over a year now and I'm very happy with their dry cleaning service. Emma is really sweet and is always very attentive. My husband loves how his shirts are nicely pressed and groomed. The only thing i would recommend for anyone taking men's shirts is to take off the cuffs because they forget to put them back on. I have been a very loyal customer years. I brought many of my friends over to them as well. That being said, I recently had an outrageously bad experience with this establishment. Just having returned from NYC, I turned in a weeks worth of laundry to be DRY CLEANED. What I got back was my black Vivienne Westwood $330.00 shirt WASHED... FADED - NOT IRONED - RUINED!!!!! I hit the roof - I discovered this as I was packing... Called Emma - who was nice enough, but powerless to assist me. I came in with the shirt and was told I would be reimbursed. NOT WITHOUT STRINGS. After 3 weeks of back and forth - I was told this was my fault for not having a receipt - Was given $5.00 (SMH) for my troubles and as a gesture of good faith - offered a MINIMAL credit for future service. Oh, insult to injury - I was told the manufacturer shows the shirt can be washed... If I wanted the shirt washed I could have done that myself... WHY WOULD I TRUST THIS ESTABLISHMENT TO DO RIGHT BY ME WHEN THEY RUINED A PERFECTLY GOOD SHIRT? If you value your wardrobe and want to have this cleaners work for you - keep all of your receipts - But most importantly - do not bring high expectations... I'M DONE. read more

My only advice is to not go there for alterations. I recently brought in brand new j brand pants that I was IN LOVE with. I'm 5'1" so of course I had to get them hemmed. Long story short- when I went to pick up my pants, they chopped them off all the way to my knee!!! I couldn't believe it. I tried them on and everything before, talked about just simply cutting off an inch and this was way more than an inch. Probably around 6 inches or more. Needless to say, my brand new pants are ruined. $180 down the drain. They would not pay me back for the pants even though they clearly ruined them. Never EVER going back again. read more

The best dry cleaners I've come across! I trust them with all my clothing, including my expensive tuxedos and suits. They pay close attention to spots/stains and can repair missing buttons, tears, etc. They can usually have everything ready for you the following business day by 4p. The staff is super friendly and will take the time to identify all stains on all pieces of clothing to make sure they're addressed. Everyone recognizes me when I walk in and they all know my full name and phone number by heart! Very convenient parking lot right in front of the store and there is usually always a space available. Highly recommended dry cleaners. They also have great hours...you will have time to pick up your dry cleaning after work hours and they're open on the weekends. read more

Not the least expensive, but definitely more affordable than other expensive places, and extremely clean and tightly run business. Collars are pressed well without any marks, which is a good sign of professionalism. And they're open 7 days per week. Store is also roomy with plenty of counter space and people to help you immediately. If you live within a few miles, definitely consider this place first. read more

When the dry cleaners across the street, Sloan's, changed ownership, we switched to Frederick Cleaners until they wrecked a leather jacket and would never accept any responsibility or refund any of their charges. More specifically, I was given a beautiful leather sports coat that needed the sleeves lengthened. Frederick's told me they could do that, but I would need to have the jacket cleaned to be sure the extended sleeve toned in with the rest of the jacket. I agreed, and the charge was about $30 for the tailoring and $50 for the cleaning. When the jacket came back the tailoring was horrible, and the entire job needed to redone. But, even worse, the jacket reeked of a chemical smell. I tried airing the jacket out, but it made no difference. When I returned, they told me that I had signed a waiver which they showed me. I pointed out the waiver only discussed changes in color, not a stench that radiated out at least six feet from the jacket. They reluctantly agreed to send it back to the leather cleaning service. We went through this at least twice more, with them showing me the waiver, and me pointing out that I am not complaining about the color, but the horrible smell. At each point they also brought out other leather garments from other customers to show that everything comes back with same smell. But, none of the other garments had any offensive smell at all. After the third round, I finally asked them to refund the cleaning fee because the garment still stank and I could not wear it. They refused, even when I pointed out their competition across the street was happy to have another regular customer. And, that is where I go, back to Sloan's, and will never return to Frederick's after they way they wrecked this leather coat, would never accept any responsibility, and would not offer me any refunds for a totally botched job. read more

Decided to try this place after my old place raised their prices. I gave them a few shirts, and one of my shirts became completely stretched out and the buttons had all cracked. I told them how the shirt was stretched out, and the offered to try to "fix" it. I don't know how they planned on doing it, but at this point I had nothing to lose. I came to pick it up a 2nd time, and the shirt was still stretched out and unwearable, and they still had the audacity to charge me for their 2nd attempt. Just had to throw out a $300 shirt. I lost a pair of diamond earrings that my husband had bought for me for a past anniversary. I had given up on them and went out and bought a fake "replacement" pair. When I went to pick up my drycleaning, the woman at the counter said she found them in the pocket of my suit jacket and presented them to me in a little plastic bag. I was so overjoyed and thrilled by her honesty, I told her the story of how they were real and had been lost for months. I was wearing the "fake" pair at the time, so I took them off and gave them to her as a thank you. I don't think any other cleaner would have done that. read more

I never write reveiws but I feel compelled now so I can warn others about this place. Starting January 2014 I started using this company for fluff and fold. Everything was fine until my last order was ruined. Somehow pens ended up in my wash and ruined all of my clothing. Instead of taking any responsibility, all they did was blame me. I told them that I do not carry pens on my person ever so it is impossibile that there would be any pens in the bag I dropped off. They kept insisting it was my fault. One of the employees said they would fix the clothes. When I picked up my "fixed" laundry I was assured that they got all pen markings out. Now that I'm home and have opened my bag, I see that my clothes are ruined and there are still pen marks of 99% of my clothes. This also means that the women who told me they got all the stains out lied and they charged me full price. This place is great until they ruin your clothes and it is only a matter of time before they do. read more
