I've been going to this establishment for over a year. Recently I took in linen shirts. When I took the shirts home, New Image Cleaners shrunk the shirts so much that I couldn't even button them. I brought it their attention and they denied the issue, and offered nothing in return. There prices vary depending who is working. I never understand why I haven't reviewed businesses I've been going to for ever! I mean literally forever, I think I've been taking my clothes here for over two decades because I've lived in the area almost that long. So these people are fantastic. I get minor alterations done there as well I think I've even had work done on a full boat cover for one of my racing boats. I'm not sure what the dry cleaning really costs here and I apologize for that but most of it gets done through my company. What I will rave about is the turnaround when I need things done in a pinch and also they walk out to my car when I call them in advance and deliver my cleaning right to the hook in my car and take away my new dry cleaning. They always do it with the best of attitude and I would love to say that there is parking but as I said I pull up and I get curb service. I'm sure they would do curb service for others. It's very tight in terms of parking and traffic in this area so I'm sure they're more than willing to accommodate. This is an area that I have previously reviewed as there are many places right in this intersection that I patronize. I have never been dissatisfied with the work at this cleaners. If you really had to park somewhere you could just simply parallel park and put on your flashers and run across. It's a very small street. Beware of the parking patrol as they have no mercy. You can also park in the Wilshire Beauty Supply parking lot. I'm sure if you're just there for a minute or two they won't mind and would love to have you come in and find that this is also wonderful business. read more

One thing I'd really like, Renato ( the customer service rep) that responded to my review to realize is I'm NOT the only customer with a similar experience based on this place's reviews! (Don't get me wrong), they are free to charge whatever they feel is appropriate. Just don't lie lol. Have used these guys twice to get pants fixed. Had to bring back the same 2 pants that they fixed a month later because there stiching popped out. Did not double Stichter only single stitch. Then the price for getting it fixed d again was higher than the first time. Don't go to this place since they have no pricing sheet and change pricing all the tine! read more

Very nice staff. I had a specific linen blazer I needed dry cleaned with an alteration for a meeting the next day. They turned it around in one day, even though I had missed the cut off. And the blazer looked great. I also dropped off a few other blazers for a regular lock up. 3 of the 4 still had lint on them and could've been cleaned better. But it was all good for me since the staff were quick to offer to fix it. I haven't picked those up yet but one had an old makeup stain on the collar, which I was told could be removed with a special chemical. I feel confident they were able to clean it. All and all I like this place and I'm tired of carrying around bags full of dry cleaning in my trunk. Prices are reasonable, staff is great, and I trust them with my stuff. read more

After 3 years of coming to this cleaners, I was so disrespected by the owner today that I'm leaving my first ever negative Yelp review. I brought a standard wash and fold load into New Image about 2 wks ago. (I live next door and support all the local businesses! Have come in since moving to the neighborhood in 2012 for services from repair to tailoring to dry cleaning. No major complaints prior!... a few high prices on zipper repairs, a few shrunken items, a lost pair of underwear or two... all things I shrugged off.) But upon picking up the last wash and fold, one of my shirts was severely ripped, and it had not been ripped at all before bringing it in. No big deal. They offered to repair it... Today I went in to check on the repair. The owner accused me of lying saying I brought the shirt in that way. I reminded him that in nearly 3 years of being a customer, I have never had anything ripped or claimed such. He then pulled up my account and said to me "We didn't do this. You've only spent a few hundred dollars here. Maybe if you'd spent a thousand or something it'd be a different story." I was appalled. I wasn't upset coming in, but after being disrespected in that way (accused of lying AND being belittled as a customer because I haven't spent thousands of dollars? ?), they've now lost me as a customer for life. Unacceptable. I'm spreading the word to all my neighborhood pals. The owner should be ashamed of himself. read more

Wow. Now I know what a decent dry cleaners is like. I brought four shirts in to get them cleaned for a job I'm starting in a few weeks. I mostly just hoped the cleaner would just make them smell nice and clean out some of the sweat stains on the back of the collars. The shirts also had armpit stains. I didn't really expect them to do much about those; they've been there for a while, so I expected the cleaner just to lessen their notoriety. Also, my only white dress shirt has had a small, but very noticeable oil stain on the collar for quite some time now. After taking it to the last dry cleaner and them being unable to get it out, I figured I would just have to cope with it. When I got my clothes back, all the stains were gone. I was blown away. All those stains have been there for a long time now--at least three months (haven't needed to use the shirts until now). The oil stain on my white shirt had been there for even longer--at least six months. It was especially delightful considering I hadn't even asked or expected them to do that. I also appreciated that the guy at the counter was a positive person. He didn't seem down on life or down on the job, and he actually seemed to care about pleasing me, the customer. He wasn't too chatty, but he smiled and asked me if I had just moved into town; as a new customer, you get a nice discount. Even though I didn't have the coupon you're supposed to print out off the website, he still gave me the discount. I am told they have lots of coupons on their website. This place is quality. And they actually increased the value of my shirts I brought in. Needless to say, I will definitely be bringing all my clothes here from now on. read more

I only have great things to say about New Image Cleaner! My first visit was for an alteration to my skirt. It needed to be taken in about two sizes and it required a touch more expertise because of the unique shape. She was very meticulous in her fitting and asked a lot of questions to ensure that I was happy with the finished product. She did an outstanding job and the skirt fits perfectly! Not only did she do a great job it was ready in about two days! Although...this lazy one took about two weeks to pick it up! But if you are pressed for time they are an excellent source! I came back again for routine dry cleaning. They promised turn around next day and even go through your clothes specifically to make sure your needs are met! They are so wonderful and polite. Not to mention they don't use harmful chemicals on your clothing. They even got a run in my silk blouse out...a rip in the fabric! So impressive! I will continue to come back as often as needed and the fact that I can walk there is just an added bonus! read more

Read the great reviews and brought 2 pairs of jeans to be shortened with the original hem. Both were one size too long so they needed about 2" off the bottom. Was quoted $20 each (a few dollars more than my usual spot that is already considered expensive). The girl at the counter measured the length and pinned them perfectly. Went this morning to pick them up, making sure to wear the same pair of shoes to try them on. Tried on both pairs and was disappointed to see they were still way long, it looked like only an inch or less had been removed. I showed the same girl behind the counter and she told the tailor who, from the get go, appeared to disagree with my disapproval. After a few horribly short pinnings by the tailor I showed him where I had asked them to be. He pinned them and walked away. Put the second pair on and now the manager (I assume, ) was there to tell me that I must have told them the wrong measurements. He repeated over and over that an original hem is hard to do and must be precise so the tailor goes strictly by the pinned measurement. I reminded him, with the girl next to him, that the measurements she took were perfect and the tailor simply didn't do it right. I said its not a big deal, I'll wait while they're done again. The manager continued to tell me it was my fault, that I must have been wearing them differently (i.e. pulling them up over my belly button). This went on for 10 minutes. Finally he agreed to do them again but said he'd do one for free and I'd have to pay for the other. I told him no way, that the measurements were right the first time and I'm not paying again when I did everything right. This was another 5 minutes of him telling me that I must have been wearing them different, and saying that I'm asking for $40 of free alterations. Yet again I reminded him that I had given the proper measurements the first time and they either need to be redone for free or I get a refund. He reluctantly agreed to redo them for free and I could pick them up in 2 days. As I was leaving he once again said next time I need to give the proper measurements. But he has no need to worry, there won't be a next time ;) read more

Confession: I have never gone to the dry cleaners before on my own accord. I've lived 3000 miles from my family for over a year now, and I still take all my dirty "dry clean only" clothes home with me for my mom to deal with. My mom is awesome, but that's besides the point. After discovering a little stain on my favorite silk black dress, and without a visit home on the horizon, I decided to suck it up and take a walk around my block to New Image Cleaner, who seriously made me question why I waited so long to do this myself. They were so easy! Standardly, if you come in on a Monday, they'll have it ready by Wednesday after 5pm, but I've requested next day and it hasn't been a problem. I'm not sure how they handle same day requests, but they seem pretty accommodating. Prices range from $3 to about $6, depending on the item and the material. Still, 8 pieces including 3 dresses came to only $32, and considering you shouldn't dry clean an item more than once a year if possible, the prices seem more than reasonable. Everything came back shiny and new, all the stains gone without a trace. I brought in a sweater that had pilled and it was still in the same shape when I picked it up, but I hadn't asked for them to fix it specifically and maybe I should have. Universal Costume Department requires you dry clean what you've rented before returning, and New Image did a great job - Universal had no complaints! read more

I think the longest I've waited for service was 3 minutes, and that's only because the lady in front of me was dropping off her ENTIRE spring & summer wardrobe (there was a lot of stuff). Been using these guys for a long time! Have had pants & dresses hemmed, silk blouses, dress shirts, dresses, suits and coats cleaned here. They always do a FANTASTIC job (like getting out tough stains) AND the clothes come back clean and don't have that weird dry-cleaning smell. I have this one delicate silk top that has intricate beading and a heavy chain that clips together around the back neck, and they have cleaned it a couple times already and it always comes back looking like new (no snags or tears in the delicate silk)! Besides, more than once, they see stains that I didn't notice and mark them for removal. Awesome. :) It feels like they care about your clothes and want you to be happy and keep coming back. They have street & free garage parking. The garage is to the left of the place - when you pull in, the attendant will tell you where you can park. You make my clothes look awesome for a decent price AND give me free parking?!? These guys are great!! read more

The pricing is a bit confusing, but they can do things with a day turn around which is awesome and usually worth it. Wow! I am thoroughly impressed! I borrowed my roommates brand new Dolce & Gabbana dress....got a huge stain on it, tried getting it out myself and only made it worse! I yelped it to find a good dry cleaner in my area and based on the reviews tried out New Image.....I am forever a loyal customer! I was fearing the worst...having to shell out a couple hundred dollars to replace the dress (and not to mention desperately search for it...since its not in season anymore) and no more borrowing privileges :( But after a week or so, the man told me he had to work really hard to get the stain out, but he did it flawlessly!! It's satin so I imagine it's very delicate and easy to damage if not done right. I was soooo ecstatic to see it in PERFECT condition. I recommend this place. They are family run and sweet. I first started coming to New Image because it was convenient. I would likely continue to come here even if it was out of the way. Yolanda runs the show up front and she is always very friendly. She remembers my name and that I like to recycle the plastic and hangers. The prices are competitive, the turn-around time is always negotiable, and the friendly service goes a long way. I asked if they could possibly handle in such a short amount of time, expecting the answer to be no. Much to my surprise, she politely took the costume and told me to wait for a just a minute. Feels like mom and pop operation because they care about your clothes and they are very attentive to your special requests, i.e. a certain stain that needs extra attention. I've only done my dry cleaning here so far, but it's so good that I still drive here from Beverly Hills. The prices are reasonable (especially with the loyalty card) and they always point out problems for you instead of having you find unwelcome surprises! I'm sorry, this is 2018, almost 2019. It's not acceptable to take cash only, unless you're a money laundry operation. So cleaning one white t-shirt was $8 which is already overpriced in my opinion (so definitely should cover the credit card charge), but to then make me drive around chasing ATMs because you can't run debit cards or credit cards for anything less than $10 is ridiculous. The person I dealt with almost made an exception but because "it was my first time" as a customer she decided against it and told me I can just have the leftover $2 as credit. Yeah, no thanks. That would imply I'd come back which is the opposite of what I'm going to do in the future. This is the closest cleaners to my house but I'm definitely not interested in using them again. read more
