This is my first time trying Fred's. I called in my order. I ordered a cheeseburger combo. The person who answered the phone sounded very unsure. I got to Fred's and my order was ready but I had to wait because there was a line. The employee answering the phone was getting instructions from his dad or boss About what to say to the person on the phone. Maybe it's his first day? I'm not sure. I tasted the burger. To be honest, I was a little underwhelmed. The burger as a whole was a big size but I wasn't feeling motivated to finish it for some reason. Maybe it's the house sauce? It looks like spicy mayo or thousand island but tastes a little sour. It's hard to explain. The fries were just ok. After I ate the burger, I started getting intense itching everywhere so I'm not sure if I was allergic. The place was clean though. Staff was very kind and patient while my children and I browsed the menu & asked questions while placing our order. The burger was juicy, seasoned, fresh veggies on the burger. The fries were crunchy, fluffy on the inside, hot to touch & a little salty. The seasoning on the fries was a season salt similar to one I'd use at home so I was very pleased! Great burger spot to check out. The burgers were fresh and seasoned well. Had the cheese fries and my son had the wild fries. Both very tasty and well seasoned. Good shakes too. First off, the young lady behind the counter was very nice and attentive. I wish I asked her name, but she was wearing glasses! At least I think she was. I was soon distracted by the yummy double cheeseburger sitting in front of me. The patties were huge and juicy and when I call this a cheeseburger, that's and understatement. The cheese seem to be exploding out of the bun and meat! That's exactly how I like my cheese. Now, I'm only giving it 4 stars but it's just because the 5th star needs to be earned by multiple visits and different menu items matching the initial deliciousness. Food was definitely 10/10 Really high quality meat and veggies, which made the burger taste immaculate. Added with their specialty sauce with just the right amount of spice and tangy taste. Great food. Speedy service. Conveniently located and Clean. Their 'animal style' Wild Fries are miles ahead of In n Out. The owners look middle eastern or maybe Indian and whatever the seasoning is they use on the burgers is unique and tasty. A few suggestions.... Add bacon bits to the Wild Fries. Their soda fountain has been broken every time I'm there. While they do offer cans, they only have 3 options. Maybe offer more flavors and allow two cans per customer since a fountain would be unlimited and that's pretty standard at most burger spots. The fried chicken sandwich is good, but needs to be crispier. This seems to be a problem at a lot of places these days. Frying chicken is a real art. Finally, make pickles standard on the sandwiches instead of having to ask for them. Looking forward to trying a milkshake next time I'm there. read more

The menu: short and sweet, only 19 items including sides and shakes. They advertise as using fresh ingredients which was why I was looking forward to the fries. I had a Double Cheeseburger w/extra sauce and no onion. The meat had a steak-like flavor, excellent. The sauce was Thousand Island-like with a little spicy kick, nice touch. I would buy again. I would critique the Cheese Fries, BUT I DIDN'T GET ANY! Everything is reasonably priced all things considered in these inflationary times. I like the short menu as they can concentrate on doing fewer things, but doing them well. I will be back, but before I leave, I will make sure I have my whole order. read more

Good Burgers - Good sauce. However, the beverage situation was a bit precarious. Cans of soda were reluctantly provided as the soda fountain was not in an operational state. Unfortunately, they don't tell you their fountains are all F'd up with zero selection n zero carbonation. The machine is tucked in a corner outta site so u r not sure what you're getting into if you go with a fountain drink. Be prepared to swap it out for 1 of 3 canned soda selections. The ice situation was even weirder as minimal cubes were scooped into a cup for you at the time of order. It was almost like they were trying saving ice. I wanted to try Fred Burgers because I saw reviews and it looked similar to In n Out, however the food was not nearly as good. I ordered a cheeseburger and the patty tasted like it was frozen and was very small compared to the bun. The price was $8.99 so it was a lot more expensive as well. I also got the Wild Fries, they were decent, the grilled onion pieces were bigger than in n outs. The service was great, the waitress was attentive and friendly. Overall, it's nothing amazing, I would rather save money and wait a little longer in line somewhere else read more

The service was great we were greeted nicely the place is clean and spacious. We ordered the burger meal which comes with fries and a canned soda. The burger was very small and so light. I could tell it was a frozen patty. It just was very basic. The fries were good nice and thin and crispy. The meal was $11.99. I did not feel satisfied at all. My son also ordered the crispy chicken sandwich which was very bland. And that meal was also $11.99. I probably won't ever come back here.
