Okay for the price point, but quality and ingredients lacking. TLDR; Tasted like school lunch to me, too much bread and kind of bland. Didn't finish my meal. Picky Kids would probably like it. I would probably a choose fast food burger over this place for the same price point. I ordered a cheeseburger and a hotdog combo, and it's great if you're on a budget, but this isn't a place that I would frequent for a couple of reasons: 1. The cheeseburger To me, the hamburger and fries tasted reminiscent of school lunch. I think burger with a higher fat content would help, or maybe whoever the meat vendor is also delivers to schools, I dunno. It was also under-seasoned in my opinion. I also think the buns are far too large for the size of the hamburger. It's a quite bready burger, and the buns weren't grilled- so you just get two extra large cold bunz. The lettuce used is a soft leaf rather than a crunchy leaf, So texturally everything gets lcompletely lost in the burger buns. 2. The hotdog The meat was great, well cooked, nice spice and snap. But again, BREAD. There was SO much bun. also, I feel that the hotdog is lacking on the fixins. A pickle or pepper relish, some jalapeños, slaw, crunchy bacon, ANYTHING would be a welcome addition. All my dog came with was a sprinkling of grilled onions and the house sauce. Literally didn't even taste the onions because my mouth was FULL OF BREAD. I know this is a new restaurant, so if you're on a budget and hungry, try it out! I feel like this place would be a good pick for someone who doesn't really like strongly flavored foods. read more

I saw the live channel 40 review and wanted to try they're burgers when I visited roseville from pine grove. We don't have many food places and we always try new places when i travel. The burger was great and the frys perfect. I even grabbed a hot dog which they cut into 3 pieces so we could taste it. So good......im definately goin to the sac one next. read more

We here with the fam after a long day at an appointment. The young man at the counter was polite and answered any questions we may have had. I got a cheeseburger and cheese fries, husband got the chicken sandwich and fries. Honestly it was the best burger I've had in a long time. Everything came out fresh. I did state I wouldn't order the chicken sandwich because it was to chicken strips but I would order the strips and fries again. Son did say the milk shake was too milky he wasn't a fan. I decided to give Fred's another chance today. After my last review the owner reached out to me to apologize and to offer me a free burger on them. I didn't take them up on that offer, as it didn't feel right, so I paid as a regular customer today. Anyway, I went again today. Service was faster this time, but once again my order was not correct. It's not a complicated order, just "A Cheeseburger with only cheese and lettuce with added bacon". Last time I received everything on the burger (all the things I didn't want), this time only the cheese and bacon was on the burger, but they forgot the lettuce. The burger itself was just ok. Tried Fred's for my first time and it was very good. I got the double cheeseburger and it was fresh and very tasty. Quality ingredients and the fries were also very good. My first time eating at this establishment. This place has only been open for a month long but they have their food dialed in. It is a simple menu but super delicious. So yummy that I could not even wait to take a picture before eating all of my food. I got a hamburger combo (with all the fixings). Everything is cooked to order, very fresh. Patties are made daily!!
