    Steak Sandwich

This is one of those restaurants that locals know about for some good food and reasonable prices. It's not fancy so anyone will feel comfortable. We sat in a back area that is enclosed outdoor seating. This is my first time here and I was told to try the steak sandwich which did not disappoint. The steak was very well seasoned and juicy. The fries were crisp and I ate the whole thing. Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely will come back.

Freeport Bar & Grill - Sacramento, CA Freeport Bar & Grill feels like a true local hangout -- the kind of place where neighborhood regulars come to watch football, grab a drink, and unwind with friends. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, perfect for a game day outing. For dinner, we were recommended to try their specialty, the Fish & Chips. The portion was generous, but unfortunately, the fish lacked flavor and seasoning, and the fries tasted like standard frozen ones. We also tried the peppercorn steak, which was cooked well beyond medium rare. The server suggested their "famous" Manhattan chowder, but it barely had any clams and tasted more like a minestrone soup with bits of chicken. Overall, the food and drinks (Peach Bellini and Mojito) were just okay. I wouldn't rush back, as I'm still not sure what their true specialty is.

Freeport Bar & Grill is such a great hidden gem and a must when traveling back from Clarksburg. I went for drinks with friends and sat at the bar while I waited for them. I ordered wine, they have a great selection of local wines from wineries like Bogle and Heringer, which are always solid choices. The bartender Paco is always so friendly and welcoming serving up a smile even when he is slammed, which was the case tonight. Regular after regular walked in with an enthusiastic greeting as soon as they saw Paco. He was taking care of the bar and the whole front of the restaurant, seriously this guy deserves a raise. I ordered the fried chicken salad which comes with your choice of dressings. It was tasty and the chicken portion was nice and generous. Which was great because I was starving! My friends arrived too late to order food. Hopefully the kitchen thinks about staying open after 10 on the weekends even if it's a limited menu. It's hard to find late night food now other than fast food. I'll definitely be back to try more of their food, for the Cheers-like atmosphere and wonderful service.

Great place to grab a quick burger. We order a few different burgers and all were amazing. It's cooked just right, tasty and juicy. Definitely will go back for some burgers. We were greeted right when we walked in. We wanted to sit outside since it was a nice weather; however, it was busy so we decided to sit inside for faster service. The waitress was nice and she knowledgeable. Very quick in service. We arrived around 3pm and It wasn't busy inside the restaurant, but it filled up quick as we were leaving the restaurant. The restaurant is well maintained and clean.

This spot is my go-to for a giant, reasonably priced steak sandwich that's always cooked to perfection. The sandwich itself comes simply with mushrooms, but you can customize it however you like -- steak sauce, ketchup, mayo, mustard, bbq sauce. It comes with soup or salad and fries or mashed potatoes. I usually select the salad as my side and then load up my sandwich with Thousand Island dressing, lettuce, and tomato to create a full-on feast. Honestly, the portions are so generous I've never managed to finish more than half. There's a bit of gristle around the edges, but considering the sheer size and quality of steak, it's an incredible deal. The place has a casual, laid-back diner vibe, with a bar out front and a steady stream of friendly locals. The menu is varied-- there's something for just about everyone. One of the standouts is the Critter Platter, a shareable favorite that we usually order but skipped this time around. Overall, the prices are great, the portions are massive, and the food hits the spot. I'll definitely keep coming back anytime I'm craving a serious steak sandwich.

Recently visited the Freeport Bat & Grill for 2 work events and left satisfied. The location is neat, down road on Freeport past delta shores. It feels like you're a a country small town. The building has old town charm and as you enter from the bar area you're instantly transport back in time. We sat in the back patio, by a water fountain. The server was patient and as effective as you can be with a party of 15. I ordered a Cheyenne Burger. It was a decent burger. Not bad, but I wouldn't say outstanding. Maybe the burger sat while the rest of the food was made because my fries weren't crispy. I enjoyed my visit. I'd probably try something different next time.

Stopped here for a drink and dinner. Have been wanting to try this place for a long time. The service was excellent, the waiter was so on point, was making drinks, taking orders the works. Drinks were very good and the food was delicious. We ordered the burger and fish / chips. I would recommend those both. We will be back to try other foods

I was craving prime rib and live close to this place. I've only been here once before and know that it is a local favorite. Prime rib is made fresh and not served until 5 PM. You can call ahead to make a reservation, we wanted a booth. I'm so glad we called ahead because the booths get taken up quickly. This place gets busy quick. You can eat in the bar area or if you want a more sit down experience, there's seating in the back. Our server was friendly and did a great job on selling the fish and chips. Pros: Their fish and chips are amazing. The batter is perfect with the right amount of seasoning and crispy. The fries weren't anything special but the fish was my favorite. The prime rib was good, I would've liked a bit more flavor. Mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables were great. Cons: none

Found my new favorite dish at this establishment, beef shortribs! Savory and tender. Everything seemed better than I remembered, at this establishment, even the side salad with crispy croutons. Service is always great and the prices won't break the bank. I'll be back.

Always a five star experience when we come in here. Everyone is extremely friendly and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! They have an amazing wine selection from surrounding vineyards. Freeport is also one of the few places in town (if not the only) that has French onion soup.

You have to purchase a beer card by leaving your debit/credit card on file and then use the beer card to make your purchases. When you're done, you turn the beer card in and they charge your card for what you drank. The selections of beer were many. This is a serve yourself room for the beer, many glasses available. There was also a hosted bar if you want to get mixed drinks. We sat there for a while and weren't brought a food menu until just before we were ready to leave. We didn't get to try any of the food. That was a bit disappointing. The room is quite small. I can imagine on a busy night, there is a wait due to the limited seating. The big screen tv's made watching sports fun. Overall, for the beer selection, my husband said he would come back again. I liked the design of the place. The only drawback I would say, is I would have wanted the staff to be a little more attentive. But definitely worth the visit to try this place at least once.

I wanted to give this restaurant multiple chances before making a judgment because I know they were still finding their footing when they first opened. My first visit was disappointing. The service wasn't great, and neither was the food. Since they had just opened, I decided to give them another shot. My second and third visits were much better, with attentive service and quality food. Unfortunately, things became inconsistent after that. On later visits, service started slipping, and some dishes were overly salty. This last visit was by far the worst. My family was visiting from Southern California, and they chose this restaurant. From the start, our server was largely absent and probably checked on our table only once. My sister and I ordered drinks, and after waiting an unusually long time, we had to follow up ourselves, only to realize the bartender hadn't even started making them. My brother ordered the lobster and steak, and the lobster arrived practically raw. I ordered the shrimp scampi, and the shrimp tasted freezer-burned and anything but fresh. It was incredibly disappointing. A manager did ask if they could make it right and give us dessert or another entree which I declined. They did take care of our drinks and entrees which was nice, but I would've rather had a great experience especially since my family were visiting and we were celebrating my nephews graduations and my daughter's birthday. At this point, I don't see myself returning. The inconsistency in both the food and service is just too much for me. It's especially disappointing because my husband and I used to visit the downtown location all the time, and it was always so good. I was really hoping this location would live up to that same standard.
