I'll start by saying I love this place! The food is amazing, the staff is so nice. Years ago I used to come here frequently before I went away to college, and it was always great. I decided to come here again after years because I love it so much, drove half an hour to get here. Excited all day. Arrived at 7:45 on a Friday night. Took me 15 minutes to park. I walked up to the front at 8pm and was told they stopped taking people at 7:45. I guess I could have eaten here if I didn't have trouble parking? Especially disappointing because all websites say they close at 9pm tonight. I guess they decided to close early? It made me feel stupid for making the effort. Now that I think about it, it's not the first time it's happened. Years ago we would get the whole family together and make the trek up here to be turned away a couple different times due to their weird hours. PSA they're closed on Sundays too. If they are going to keep weird hours like this, I just think they should find a way to advertise it better. read more

Their Truffle Burger its really good, maybe a bit salty but it's just my preference. Also the salad that comes with the burger is really tasty and simple, It comes in a very thin plate but if you eat slow it will stay in the plate . I will definitely go back and try another item ! read more

I've been here a couple times and I always have the same experience: good food, mediocre customer service. This small cafe is located in Tustin near the library so you might miss it if you're not paying attention. The food is delicious - especially the desserts. I really enjoyed the peanut butter torte (completely vegan too!) and the truffle burger. Cons: the service is not always attentive and the servers sometimes are dismissive and a bit rude. I also don't like that you're not allowed to sit there and eat unless you order an entree. I've been coming to this restaurant for years, multiple times a year. The main server definitely recognizes me at this point. Interesting and sad that I came in today for desserts and coffees for our server to say they are a full service restaurant and they cannot accept anyone who only orders desserts and coffees. This doesn't make any sense. Two desserts and 2 coffees would have ended up being about $40. You're telling me you'd serve me if I ordered a plate that costs $20? The logic behind that rule is strange, please reevaluate. Having a minimum dessert charge would make more sense. Sad thing is you turned away a usual customer. read more

My absolutely favorite vegan restaurant. No I am not vegan, but I started coming here 5 years ago after looking for a good meatless spot for my friend who was trying to cut way down on meat. Everything here is deeeelicious! The appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desserts. I love the set up and decor here too. The all wood panel walls give it that made from nature vibe. Today I introduced this place to my new completely vegan friend, and she loooooved it! I wanted to try something new that I hadn't had before, so I went with the Alfalfa Sprouts 1/2 Sandwich on sourdough. It is so filling and so good. Comes with a little side salad too and only $9.50. My friend tried the HLT sandwich with vegan smoked ham. I tried the protein in her's and it tasted like actual ham...salty, slightly sweet and a smooth texture. She said that was the best vegan meat sandwich she's ever had, but that's no surprise. I have loved everything I have ordered here. The burgers, now sandwiches, the ramen, brussel sprouts, the potato pizza, and their perfect key lime pie. Oh there are two separate menus for lunch and dinner. Some items will only be available in the evening after 5pm. But they do have an extensive menu for both. And even after so many visits, I'm still blown away with how much their proteins tastes like actual meat, and how their whipped cream tastes like dairy. But this restaurant uses no animal products whatsoever. If you have someone who dislikes vegan food, you gotta bring them here. It will change their world! read more

Fine until I got kicked out. Yes ladies and gentlemen I got kicked out. I ordered a meal and was here for approximately an hour. I noticed a couple had been there for a while nursing's coffee and just chatting so I thought it would be ok to study while I had breakfast. I also noticed that there was a man on his lap top inside the restaurant area so again I thought it would be ok. I found it interesting that all of a sudden out of nowhere they had a policy. This was one of my fav place for both breakfast and lunch. I have tried just about everything in a menu and you really can not go wrong. I love the service and their drip coffees are the best. Busy after the pandemic, their sandwiches became so small. I used to order a full sandwich and bring the other half home. Now I eat the full sandwich and still wish had a bit more. I was in the mood for a burger and opted for the truffle burger. It was very tasty and fresh, although the portion size was a bit small. It worked for lunch but probably would not have been enough for dinner. Also, the patty tasted very familiar, so I'm not sure if it was pre-made. I still had room for dessert so I tried the peanut butter bar which was very rich and delicious! The server was very attentive and kind. The restaurant had a nice ambience as well although I think they were playing the music a tad bit too loudly. Although it is no fault of the restaurant, the other diners that day were extremely loud and it was hard for me to even think with the combination of the loud people and the loud music. I was pretty full and still had leftovers. The vegan scrambled egg had the texture of real eggs and it looked like it too. Quite AMAZING how vegan cuisine can trick your eyes. It was very flavorful and what I'd like to call comfort food. The salad was also a nice accompaniment to the dish. Unsure the exact name of the drink, but it might have been a Thai Spice Boba tea !
