    Squash blossom pizza

Delicious, intimidate spot for vegan dinner. Stopped since our dear Plot is no more. Found street parking no problem, seated right away, and shared a pizza. Definitely adding it to our list for when we are in the area.

The best vegan restaurant in OC, and maybe even in all of the surrounding counties! This is a scratch vegan kitchen with everything made in house without using any animal products at all. No not even honey is used up in here, but somehow they're able to make their sweets taste sweet, and I mean the right kind of sweet! There are a good amount of different types of items from ramen, to pizza, and both are really good, but their panini sandwiches are my favorite! The meat substitutes pretty much taste just like deli sliced ham. And their Key Lime Pie is amazing! I don't know how they make that whipped cream, but they were able to make it taste just like the real thing! A definite must to finish your meal!

Truffle burger and double vanilla latte

Honestly...I have only tried the truffle burger here every single time I am here...and it's absolutely perfect. I am not vegan so I order it for the wonderful flavor and texture. The side salad is a nice touch, and their double vanilla bean latte is quite good. I am not sure if I will ever venture out and try their other menu items...because the truffle burger is sooooo good!

5-stars for dedicated focus on vegan offerings as well as staff; 4-stars for different / inconsistent menus for lunch vs dinner and inconsistent pacing Husband and I have come on multiple occasions. Pizza photo from our first visit b/c we love veg pizza options at BLAH in Normal Heights. Also the 'bello panini. Vegetarian doesn't mean tasteless. It's healthy and flavorful. Only one location, so no economies of scale to bring down overall costs (and your prices). Last fall we enjoyed nice ambiance, whether on the patio (before major road construction) or indoors (eclectic decor handsomely grounded in wood & tile setting) with an indie playlist. Also much as I'd like to loiter here, don't think of it as a coffeehouse type of cafe. It's designed for people to enjoy one another's company, food and drink. Bonus: option for people with friends who eat halal.

Seriously one of the best Vegan spots in OC!! I stopped by the other day with my friends who is Vegan and tho I have been to Vegan places before, Im not a Vegan myself. Of course this doesnt mean I dont enjoy Vegan food! On the contrary I think their flavor and the options you get here are superb. My friend ordered a mushroom panini, the roasted cauliflower and roasted strong beans to share. They were DELICIOUS. I have no idea what the sauce they added to the string beans had but OMG they were phenomenal. The service was really friendly, I had a Vanilla Latte which I truly enjoyed. I lesrned they made this w soymilk and u would never even know they did it tasted so creamy and full. Im really looking forward to going back soon. They have a really nice i side decor and the pattio area has a little fountain. Truly enjoyable and really great prices too! Public parking is available across the st!

    Panini Poulet

The food quality here is so good, and the meat alternatives are all so convincing that I would not be able to tell that they are vegan. I tried the Panini Poulet, which was so balanced and delicious, with the pickled carrots and daikon providing the perfect crunch and acidity to the sandwich. Loved the side salad that came with it, especially the candied walnuts. Enjoyed the ambiance and outside seating as well, but had to take off a star because someone in my party got their food over half an hour after everyone else.

I love taking my lady friend here when she's in town. Even though I'm not Vegan I love the food. Everyone here is so nice.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! We came in a Monday afternoon for a late lunch. The place wasn't too busy. We were seated quickly, served iced waters and placed our orders in less than 10 minutes. Once we ordered, it did not take long for our food to be delivered. Service was definitely friendly and efficient. SUPERB! Truffle Burger: 4/5 Burger was very hearty. The truffle was very good and the aiola sauce was the chef's kiss. I wish it came with fries, but the mixed greens salad side was definitely the healthier option. Panini Portobello: 5/5 Sourdough bread was lightly toasted, crunchy, and a little chewy. The filling (artichoke, portobello, sun dried tomatoes, etc) was so good. My favorite dish on the menu! Cafe Granita: 5/5 It was creamy and icy and absolutely refreshing! This was perfect for an afternoon drink on a sunny day. The espresso flavor was not too strong. It was not too sweet. It was truly the perfect combination of sweetness and boldness (from the espresso). We are coming back again to try other items on the menu!

BLT sandwich with tomatoes and vegan bacon.

Located in Tustin on Main Street is Freesoulcaffe. Standing on the sidewalk, facing the establishment, it was a wonderful view. You see, the building is covered in bricks and had an opening in the entryway that I found lovely. I opted for sitting outside as the weather was nice and so was the outdoor decor. I ordered the BLT sandwich that came highly suggested by the waiter. All I can say is, love is the most nutritional ingredient and love was all in the details. The lettuce was crisp and the vegan bacon was nice. Next time, I look forward to trying their salads and soups that are soy free. Perhaps even one of their specialty pizzas. Everyone was ever so friendly and the service was wonderful. "Light a fire in you that the world cannot put out!"

    FSC breakfast sandwich
    Melanie G.

We went on a Saturday at their opening (9am) and it wasn't busy at all! They won't seat you until your full party is there though. It's an aesthetic and more upscale setting! I got the FSC breakfast sandwich which was really good. It was flavorful because the veggie bacon was smoky and because of the savory romesco sauce. Bread was oiled and grilled to a nice crisp, while still having a nice chew to it. Sandwich is filling too because it also has tofu, bell peppers and spinach! Great mix of ingredients for a sandwich. Looking forward to coming at another meal time to try some of their other dishes!

    Amber D.

The place is really nice in a cute area of Tustin. My guy has been here before but I hadn't so we decided to go. I had the potato pizza and he had the vegan veggie sausage. The crust was good but I didn't like the white sauce on mine. I tasted a slice of his and really wish I had ordered that instead. The server was friendly .

It had been a couple of months since we were last there and my parents and my daughter had been asking to go back and were really looking forward to eating there. However, we were so disappointed when we went back 2 weeks ago! The menu changed a bit, which was fine, and all our usual dishes were still there. We did notice that the cooks have changed and the original Cantonese chef was not there. I think the kitchen staff really changed how the flavors of the dishes for the worst. My 7yo daughter used to love their shrimp fried rice, but as soon as the fried rice came out, the first thing she said was "how come it looks so different from before." Not only did it look different, it was BURNT. It was like they fried the rice in a burnt wok so every grain of rice was coated in tiny black burnt bits. It was essentially inedible. They also just topped the rice with some tastless blanched shrimp instead of actually stir frying the shrimp into the rice. The green onion pancake used to be flakey with layers and expectedly oily for this dish, but the pancake we got this time was essentially a tasteless tortilla. It literally looked and tasted like a tortilla. No layers, flakes or oil at all and was the worst green onion pancake I've ever had anywhere. The fish with black bean sauce was acceptable, but it was definitely not the same. It tasted more like American Chinese flavors instead of the previous authentic Cantonese flavors. The only dish that I thought was still good was the stir fried eggplants, although my parents said it also tasted more Americanized. We are so sad that the food here has changed so much and it was one of the rare places my Cantonese dad actually said tasted authentically Cantonese in the area. The restaurant was full during our latest vist but we did notice that 90% of the diners and people ordering take-out were non-Asians. When we came previously, there was a good mix of Asian and non-Asian diners, so it seems like the clientele have shifted, which might explain the flavor changes or vice versa. The staff is still very nice and friendly, but it seems like the robot server has been laid off. I don't think we will be coming back again unfortunately as the food is no longer what we loved before. However, they seemed to still be doing well so others must still like it.

Would come here for the spicy vegan ramen, but because of the price it wouldn't be a constant thing…read more =========== Price is high, 2 ramens and a drink is $50 with tip. Amber 2/5 Pork had a nice char and wasn't sliced overly thin. Def tastes like fish with a salty, but not overly so broth.. noodles sucked up the soup which made it less palatable compared to the vegan creamy broth. Would I get it again? No cuz it didn't tickle my fancy. There's other soy sauce based ramen I enjoy. Spicy veggie one 4/5 Lighter than other creamy vegan broths, but still flavorful. This had lots of garlic in it which i appreciate. The noodles fare better with this soup and reminded me of the instant noodle ramen texture, seemed more eggy somehow. Tofu in it keeps you full. Service Fine, the spot was pretty dead on a Sunday afternoon as there was maybe 2 patrons in the restaurant. Bathroom was clean.

One of my fav spots for yummmmmmmmm ramen in SoCal; First tried it in DTLA and was so impressed…read morethat I had to def get the ramen again when I went to Tustin last weekend !! The fact that they do all vegan broth - means that they put lot of effort in their broth to taste good and hence beats all the other vegetarian ramen I've tried hands down !! Ambience is pretty chic along with stellar service. Love the vegetarian Bao also. Best thing is I could always stop by 3CAT right across from Rakkan Ramen !!

The chicken taco is delicious, with happy hour deals either in the early morning 7-8AM, or late night 9PM-close. Margaritas and tacos are a great deal during HH and or Tuesdays! The staff are always very welcoming, engaging and warm, eager to help at any chance give. The ambience is easy going, but with a large groups there is only one main option to seat due to cemented/pre-arranged seats. Blankets and heat lamps are provided for the evening just in case. Always a treat to either return and eat in person or to pickup to go. Burritos are also a great option from Taco Mesita!

I'm going to start this review by saying we go here often and we love the food. Quality is great…read moreand flavor is there. The drive through can take a bit , but it's not fast food so that has never bothered me. My one gripe, and it's enough for me to knock 2 stars, is their stinginess with salsa. Only Mexican restaurant I've ever been where they are vehemently stingy with their salsa. Order chips and pay close to $5 after tax and you get a solid amount of chips, but they only allow you 2 salsa and half the time they barely fill the salsa containers (honestly sometimes like 1/4 full which is less than an ounce of salsa). Again, it's literally the only Mexican food restaurant I've ever been to that limits you on salsa and it's not even reasonable. And this last time I went finally sent me over the edge because they charged me extra for salsa because I wanted more and I finally agreed to just pay up only to get home and realize half the containers were less than half full. Honestly unacceptable. And on top of that I'm a frequent customer that will tip a few bucks every time even though I'm not dining in and I continuously get screwed on the salsa.
