We purchased a brand new vehicle through Freeway Chevrolet and its been just a little past a year since I have had it. I recently found out that I already need a very important part replaced that will prevent my truck from jerking me foward everytime I start to move. I was told by a representative that I would receive a call when the part came in but here we are 7 weeks later and no call. About 3 weeks ago, I tried calling everyday for a week straight, left messages and no one ever returned my call. I finally talked to a representative and was told that my part was on a nationwide shortage, I asked to have it escalated because being jerked around in a vehicle does not feel good and has caused alot of anxiety. No one has responded to a message that was supposedly sent to all of the service representatives in hopes that one person would respond to me. Every time I called, I spoke with professional and polite employees who knew who I was without asking for any info. They answered quickly and never kept me waiting. He helped broker a deal that not many could have accomplished. I cannot say enough good things about him. Chuck in finance was instrumental in making the purchase of my NEW VEHICLE happen. I was literally test driving used cars because I was trying to remain in budget. I was not thrilled with the cars I had test driven. I commute a lot for work and was trying to find something safe with lower mileage. I made this known to Martin and you could see the lightbulb go off in Martin's head. Let's try and get you in a new car. I test drove a 2024 Malibu hopeful but realistic it was probably out of budget. That exact car is now parked in my driveway. I'm right in budget!! I went in today to look at a 2021 Nissan Sentra with the salesman Mike. After negotiating we came to a price of $19,800 with $800 of tint added. I asked to remove the tint and I'd think about agreeing to the new price. After 10 minutes the sales manager Malcom approached me asking about the price I had agreed on when there wasn't a price agreed on yet. I asked him to show me the break down of the numbers and he walked me over to the desk and immediately began getting angry. The salesman and I were telling him the numbers we were discussing and he got extremely aggressive with me and got in my face with a loud tone. He raised the price back up and began yelling in my face about the numbers saying $20,000 was the final price. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation. I told them it was a terrible way to do business to raise the price back up and he got more intense. I told him I no longer wanted to do business with him and he went to shake my hand. I did not shake his hand and I left. My mother was in car sales for 12 years and never saw business done this way. I would not buy from here. read more

My vehicle needed a new battery, and I had it towed for free under my warranty. When I arrived by Uber at the dealership I had no idea which door to go into. Clear signage is needed to direct customers to the appropriate areas for check in. I was on crutches and no one came out to help tell me which door to go into for Checkin. Although all the windows are clear and I can see technicians sitting inside. I had attempted to open two doors that were locked. Since no techs came out to ask if I needed assistance. I made my way down further to the sales area and a really nice salesman was outside on the phone and immediately asked if I need help and guided me back down to where I originally was and grabbed a tech for me. My tech was really nice and helpful. The wait with an appt was just shy of 3 hours, so be prepared to wait. But I feel like this is the norm for dealerships it's always a long wait IMO. It would have been nice if they checked my tires for air and refilled my washer fluid. More attention to detail and care for customers is something they can improve. Overall not a bad experience, I would return. read more

First off my wife has purchased a great vehicle. However, during the process of purchasing the perfect vehicle led us through freeway Chevy. We always stopped by for a glance here or there but there was one day we schedule to test drive a few vehicles. As we pulled up there were 5 to 6 employees standing out side just waiting for prey. It was awkward to say the least when I parked and they were just staring. The girl my wife spoke to was standing there staring even though we told her the time we would arrive. We took test drives and we were suckered into the car dealership. The manager was nice and of course he was working for us. After they ran out credit 15 times and low balled us for our vehicle and up charging $2,999.00 for detailing the cars on the lot. We only had one follow up call and was instructed to call our bank even though they ran our credit through it. I guess a car dealership is a car dealership. Predatory lending and super charging the price of a car. My main thing is learn from these experiences and post about it so others can learn. One out of five stars for being the classic definition of a used car dealer and not attempting to be better than the average. read more

Went to go look for a car that I was told was available and drove halfway across town for them to tell me it was sold. (Why did they say it was available when it was not?) One day later they call telling me the original buyer did not go through with the purchase and trying to get me back to the dealership. They also had the nerve to raise the price by 2000$ . Purchased 2020 Suburban using a "digital" contract. They didn't provide us with any of the paperwork until 10 days after the purchase! We reviewed the paperwork & found they didn't give us the agreed amount for our trade in AND they added additional items onto the price! Well after the last swap of vehicles we are back at it with another Colorado with major electrical malfunctions. 2023 Colorado (second one now after they took back the first one for same issues) with 2300 miles since our purchase in October of 2023. Same electrical issues. Dash cluster and radio black out so we have no speedometer etc. Then the roof dents in a car wash because they don't reinforce them (pray you don't get into a rollover accident). The last straw, my wife and I, just exited the 202 highway to get home and we're doing 50 mph. The truck locked up brakes (not ABS system) and locked the steering column. Thankfully we were not hit during rush hour traffic by some miracle. For the record the recall on the front collision camera was done immediately, twice in March and April for an update. I sustained whiplash and my wife had contusions to her wrist from the abrupt stop by no actions of ours. The truck was towed in and the dealerships answer to this was to bypass all cameras on the vehicle. We now have no backup camera, blind spot alerts, etc (btw all things we paid extra for). The dealership offered to finance us into a different vehicle which is insane as this would be the third time. Losing our down payments, money paid towards the loan, and would have a higher monthly car note as rates have climbed. How is it we should suffer and lose money for people like this. Chuck the finance guy at Freeway is a con man with no regard for anyone's safety. They returned the vehicle with all safety features turned off and said "for your safety, they are off and this is how to ensure they are off". This is the most preposterous situation I have ever been in. Moral of this sad and epic tragedy that my wife and I are going through is Freeway Chevrolet cares more about moving units of cars than your life!! Next time have a soul before you try and pressure a customer into another vehicle to hide your shortcomings of Freeway Chevy Mr Finance Man Chuck. read more

I've read the reviews on buying there DON'T DO IT!!! Been taking my car and diesel truck there for over ten years, well I will never again. I had my truck there for a new serpentine belt and a one bolt idler pulley. This probably took about twenty minutes. They charged me two hours labor $330 at $165 an hour. The total was $550 including parts $175. I was really pissed about the labor time they had charged me. I called the service manager Jacob meachum and after waiting four days for a reply he insulted me by offering back one tenth on an hour back. Spent thousands of dollars over the years, that's no more. Lots of good little shops looking for customers, they'll give you a better price and customer service. read more

Went in to get air conditioner fixed on a 1 year old truck. After 2 hours they tell me they have to order a new air conditioner and with the strike they had none in stock and they would have to keep the truck. It is over 100 degrees out side in Phoenix, but they would not issue a free rental. We only have one vehicle, we needed a rental. The day manager Mick got unfriendly and loud when I told him that I will give them a bad review for their poor customer service. A little later they drove the truck up to the front to be picked up. He said its fixed, but may go out again. And he walked away. Their service and dealing with customers is terrible. We traded the Chevy in the next day for a Nissan. I waited until my vehicle was back in my possession to write this review so I could give an honest review of the entire process. I dropped my car off for the 3rd time at freeway Chevy for the same AC repair. I dropped it off on a Saturday and by the following Friday had heard nothing in regards to the repair. We called and the answering center they use said that my repairs had been completed and I was free to pick the vehicle up at any time. When I showed up Friday afternoon to pick up my vehicle after about 45 minutes of waiting they pulled it up onto the service drive severely damaged. When I asked what happened and why I wasn't notified Lonny (the service director) said it had just happened an hour ago and that he was "too busy" to call me and notify me. I asked about the ac repair (the service center they use to answer phones said the condenser had been replaced) and Lonny informed me that NO repairs had been done and my AC was fine. After several hours of trying to get to the bottom of what happened and what would be done to repair the damages with the service director Lonny and the General Manager Tim Mort, I was given a loaner car to drive and left. After MUCH prodding and insistence on my part Lonny called me on Monday and admitted that the car had been damaged the previous TUESDAY and that I still hadn't been notified by Friday because he was busy and he thought someone else had called me. The repair process was also very painful and took ALOT of time and energy on my part. Constant emailing and calling to get any confirmations and updates. I had to ask THEM for the repair order and what damages they found and what was being repaired instead of them being the ones to update me. I called the Chapman Corporate office twice because I wasn't getting the service I deserved and was not happy with the resolution at that time. The corporate office refused to speak to me (beyond the receptionist) and never called me back. Tim, the GM tried to sell me a new car "now that mine was damaged" as an effort to rectify the situation. The offer he sent me was insulting at best. To sell me a new car at full sticker price at a higher APR and longer term that the car I originally had. He said he was giving me "way over" on my trade however I have screenshots from that very day that what he offered me was in the blue book trade in for my vehicle. Near the end of the repairs I did finally get unsolicited updates from the service director which I appreciated. When I finally picked the vehicle up 3 weeks after dropping it off for a simple AC repair, the damage they had done was repaired, although I wouldn't say I'm fully satisfied with the outcome. There are several scratches and dings to my car that were not there pre drop off that when asked they just said we're not their fault. As well as a headlight I now need to have buffed out for some weird scratches/ marks that were not there previously. When asked they said it was from "the sun" however my car is always garage kept and the other headlight is perfectly fine. So I would say although they did repair the damage, I was lied to about every aspect of the process and had to spend far too much of my own time and effort to oversee the repairs when it should have been their priority to right the situation. I had to email TWICE after picking the vehicle up just to get the final paperwork showing the repairs that had been done because I was not given them. I would never return to Freeway Chevrolet and would not advise others too either. If you are looking for service especially, the director of the department in my experience lied to a customer, didn't contact me when they damaged my vehicle, raised his voice and told me They have so many cars in and out of their shop he can't possible know about them all, and when I asked to see the service log to know exactly what was done the entire thing had been erased. The GM knew of all of his actions and sat across from me as he lied to my face and when I spoke to him a few days later he said- well Lonny's never lied to me. This is not a business I would give my time or money too and would not trust them that repairs are being done at all or correctly. They will lie from a high level and cover things up while being dishonest to their customers. And the corporate offices won't even call you back after being given all this information. My AC still does not consistently blow cold (it does for a bit then goes warm then back to cold and doesn't stay cold at all when idling) and I am now working With Chevy directly to have the repairs done at a reputable shop because they also agree Freeway Chevy handled it incorrectly and that the repair should not take a 4th visit to the same shop. read more

Hands down the BEST experience purchasing a new vehicle! It was such a comfortable, no pressure environment. This model didn't have leather seats like I wanted, but Jesse worked that into my deal. A few days after I bought my car I dropped it off at the dealership and bam brand new leather seats on all 3 rows! No compromise had to be made. Freeway Chevrolet We brought our car in for AC trouble (replaced the radiator cooling fan) and when we were picking it up My wife noticed that a light was on in the dash. Without leaving the lot we drove it right back to the service lane. Talked to Craig who said it was the first he had heard of the light being on. (Airbag) He had the tech come out and check codes and it turned out that a wire was not connected during the cooling fan installation. After leaving my wife in the Sonic and I in another car ahead of her, she experienced with in minutes the failure of the AC and the limp mode then over temp light. She pulled over to the shoulder of the freeway and shut the car off. Car was towed back to Freeway Chevrolet and they said the car had experienced a catastrophic cooling system failure. That a plastic piece in the lower radiator hose broke and dumped the antifreeze/water out onto the freeway, overheating the engine resulting in the need to replace said engine. When it was done we went to pick the car up and waited over an hour for them to find the key! Their reason for the delay was bad tag on the key. The car had been there for over two weeks and when we pick up the car they find it had the wrong tag number on it. I don't think so. My wife watches her rear view mirror and did not see any steam or water and did not smell the antifreeze which you would think one of the three would have been apparent. There is no way they test drove the car after the first service. After we pick up the car a shop near by said they would look the car over for free. I took it to them and they found two leaks. First the oil pan seal was leaking and need removal, cleaning, then replacing. Second one of the connections to the oil cooler in the radiator was loose and fluid had filled the lower radiator support. I did not want to take the car back to Freeway Chevrolet as the service we had received in prior visits was subpar. So I had the local shop fix the oil pan and they reset the connection to the trans cooler to the tune of $330. I called Lonny Ulibarri and left a message about the two leaks and was uncomfortable bringing the car back to the dealership because of the bad service we have received. He never returned the call. Do or could I recommend Freeway Chevrolet.....in a word......no! read more

I pull up 20 minutes early and am greeted by the service advisor I am supposed to be meeting with and he tells me that my online appointment wouldn't be honored since the services I needed were basically an oil change and tire rotation and that should be done in the first come first serve lane. The 15,000 mile service is basically this, why offer it as an option for me to book online? I knew I should've just made the trek to Courtesy Chevrolet in the Biltmore, I don't have issues when I go there. I just need the proper name on my registration. The ID that you guys have on file has the last name Biondi the last name on my registration is still not the right name also where the cars financed they looked into it and see that the ID that you guys gave them had beyond on it. This has been a mess and I just want it fixed, but it has not been fixed. this is all been a joke. I am going to file with the Better Business Bureau being that the ID you guys were given is a different name on all the paperwork should be an issue that you guys should fix lo and behold. Andrew told me that I have to fix the loan I've been dealing with the bank on and they confirmed that the ID that you gave them had the last name Biondi on it as far as the registration Andrew said he was going to fix it and never fixed it. I made an appointment to get a truck that was available in their inventory. I showed up to test drive this truck which is a rare truck mind you. I told the associate that I wanted to start the paperwork, he told me they required a test drive. So a short test drive later, I pull back up to the dealership to start the paperwork. A manager walks over and tells me they sold the truck. I told him how can you sell this truck when I have the keys? He proceeded to tell me he's sorry they don't normally do business like this. I had an appointment, I had the truck and the truck keys. This is apparently is how they do business. Because they took that sale right out from under me! I've never been this angry. I've been looking for this truck for over a year. Good luck if you decide to trust this awfully managed dealership. Is it available in inventory? Who cares! You don't get it! My car was here for more than a week, as they said they said they were waiting for my warranty to reach back out to them, after a whole run around I called them PERSONALLY to try to get them to contact the dealership. As my daughter starts school & I needed my car. they got in contact, and then told me after the week that it's going to be 1,800 outside of warranty to fix my car. Cause their labor wasn't covered. NEVER MENTIONED labor rates before this. We got it down to $900 which is still a rip off, and I got my car. They put things in the statement I never said like my car clunks and makes sounds over bumps WHICH it did not. I told them there are no lights on, and no sounds the first and every time thereafter on the phone and in statements. I get my car later during the day and right when I get in there is an overpowering smell of oil. Like they bathed in it and just sat in my car. Needless to say I had a migraine the first 10 mins driving home cause they didn't even wipe it down or TRY to clean it knowing they were dirty. I come home and wash my car myself and I notice my RIMS HAVE CURB RASH!!!! and I mean half way down my damn tire. My rims are discontinued and we're limited and I cannot get new ones. Shouldn't have to anyways, considering I did not do the damage and it was not brought in that way. getting in contact with them is a nightmare no one is at their desk but everyone's outside giggling and walking around. Cute right? I texted about them needing to fix my tires and of course no response. Do they just drive your car in drive thru's and not care about the CUSTOMERS vehicle?! Idk what happened but to say I am pissed off is an understatement. I did a whole walk around with the tow truck driver and have pictures before it went in and guess what?! NO CURB RASH. you'd think they would tell you about these things but common sense isn't so common here apparently.
