If I could give this business zero stars, that would definitely be my rating. This is actually my first-ever review because I have never been this insulted before by any business. From my brief experience with this dealership, I can tell that they are extremely dishonest when it comes to buying pre-owned Hondas -- more specifically, the sales manager (an older, taller, rotund man) seems to think that he can take advantage of young women (apparently I look like an easy mark). I brought my Honda Civic to this dealership for appraisal because I wanted to sell my car the same day I bought a new car from a dealership near by. I actually had my car appraised at a different Honda dealership two days prior. This sales manager gave me an insulting low offer: literally $5k less than the other dealership. When I expressed this to him, he was extremely dismissive, stating that "they were only offering that much because you're going to buy a car from them" (he was dead wrong). If you are younger in age and looking to buy or sell a car, steer clear of this dealership! They are blatantly dishonest, even worse than you would expect for your average used car dealership. ** UPDATE ** I traded in my car when I bought my new one yesterday: that dealership offered me $4500 more than Freeway Honda. So my wife and I have come here a few times since moving from Fullerton to Irvine and it's been disappointing every time. On one of our visits we made appointments at the same time for oil changes and somehow my car was done in an hour but my wife's car took over 2 hours. It was very disappointing and honestly they were never accountable. The second time I went to get new tires and asked about discounts and/or coupons (usually places like this have something) and was never followed back up with. I feel like after a service you should meet back up with who your service advisor was to see if there was any missed opportunities for customer service. It just seems this place is about over scheduling and something as simple as an oil change is now a 2+ hour process. I really hope it gets better. read more

Came here for years. Not anymore. Its true NEVER go to the dealer. They dont care for loyalty because I always had the same AC issue and they dont seem to own up to their mistakes. What was worse is I brought in my car where the AC was dying but still working and had them take a look. When I got it back from a diagnostic, the AC was completely dead. Furthermore they claimed to just look at it with a flashlight. My experience at Freeway Honda was a very pleasant experience. I was fortunate in having Lee Gebran be my salesperson. He is a very friendly gentleman and very polite, something that I didn't always expereince at other dealerships. Lee was very honest with me and tried his very best to negotiate the prices within the budget I was looking for. His assistant Rose, was also very friendly to interact with as well. Overall, if anyone is looking to purchase a new car, I would recommend coming to Freeway Honda to request Lee, as he is one best salesman a potential buyer could ask for who works in the best interest of his clients. This weekend I bought my first car. To say I was nervous & ready to have to deal with slimey salespeople would be an understatement. However, my experience was FAR from that. I had the pleasure of working with RICK NEMETH who was so friendly and helpful he really lived up to the "helpful Honda person" saying I've been hearing for the past couple years. I never felt like he was beating around the bush or skipping over things or lying to me in anyway. He even helped point out flaws in some of the colors I was looking at as well as pointing out that some of the extra packages they offered really aren't necessary for someone like me. Once we began to talk payments, the experience got even better. I'm only 27 and I know I have good credit, but I didn't think it'd be enough. Well, it was more than enough apparently and I was quoted one rate for my loan, then when talking to the finance person I was able to get it down to .9%! That blew me away. I was ready to be just eaten alive by the loan and that wasn't the case at all. In all, from the moment I stepped onto the lot to when I left driving my new Civic back home, everything was pleasant, unrushed, and a great experience. Purchased a part from the parts department. Ended up not needing the part which was never used and was sealed in original packaging. A guy named Carlos was extremely rude and condescending to me. Proceeded to tell this is a special order part and its going to take 3 months to sell it. Then he asks me why would I buy a part when I dont even need it. The passive aggressiveness from this guy was off the chart. Then he proceeds to tell me that there is a 20% restocking fee which is ridiculous; I only agreed so I wouldn't have to interact with this guy any longer. They say word to mouth is the best way to drive business reputation and sales this Honda dealership has failed in this respect. They didnt seem very interested in actually selling a car as well. The sales manager came in was extremely rude and unprofessional when talking about money. Terrible experience all around. The people are nice and the work I assume is solid but I don't appreciate taking my car for a McDonald's run then leaving your trash - most disgustingly your filthy coronavirus gloves behind along with the McDonald's shopping list. Or did someone take my car home for the night? The car was dropped off for maintenance not for the mechanics to run their personal errands in. I had to dig those sickening gloves out of the side of my seat between the console. You can take the car for a post work test around the block, not to McDonald's or god forbid home. My son's girlfriend took her honda Accord in to them because at times it would crank but wouldn't start, they switched a relay because they said that was causing it and they did an engine bay cleaning per their recommendation, she picked up the car and the same problem continued, she took it back in and they finally told her there was nothing they can do because it wasn't throwing a code! I moved here about a year ago and at the time I had a Ridgeline (which I absolutely loved), but with gas prices soaring I ended up going online and saw that this location was close to my apartment. I drove down and walked out with a brand new 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid. The car is INCREDIBLE, it gets 44+ MPG and drives so smooth! I had the vehicle for about a year and throughout my time I reached out to Patrick more than one should lol as I had so many questions. I was wanting to get into a bigger vehicle again as gas prices slowly went down. Each time I reached out, Patrick took the time to walk and talk me through every option. I went down a few times within the last few months and just recently I turned in my Hybrid. Patrick has helped me immensely. Moving can be difficult especially in a new city, and turning my vehicle in was quite difficult since Patrick was the easiest salesman I've had the opportunity to work with. Throughout the time that I've known him, he's never once been pushy about making decisions, always wants what is best for me and is very genuine is his work. Buyer Beware: Bait and Switch If you are looking to buy a new Honda, I recommend that you avoid this dealer and especially steer clear of Amir Fatanat. I'll share my experience so that others may not have to waste their time. I was looking to lease a 2019 Honda CR-V. I used a car buying service to negotiate the price of the car and the terms of the lease. The only variable was selecting the color. I called Amir Fatanat to confirm that they had the CR-V in Gunmetal Gray. He said "yes, we have 3, come on in". With that, I arranged for a babysitter to watch my son so my wife and I could go in and lease the CR-V. We get to the dealer and they point us to a CR-V for a test drive. The color didn't look quite right so I checked the sticker and it was a different color gray. When we got into the office, I told Amir that we were specifically looking for Gunmetal Gray. He said, "Oh, we don't have that color". All we have is this other gray, black or silver. I told him that he said they had three when I spoke to him the other day and also confirmed the color before we left. Basically, he lied about the color availability in hopes of getting us in the dealer and pushing us to another color. I have a personal policy of not doing business with those who lie to me. Therefore, I left the dealer right then and there. In closing, I highly recommend that you avoid this dealer and Amir Fatanat. They aren't worthy of your trust. read more

Zero Customer Service! Obnoxious Sales Rep OSCAR! I even got my lease for my car unfortunately from this dealership! They lack absolute customer service. I got an oil change on my car, just after signing the paper for oil change I found a coupon in my car for oil change, I showed it to OSCAR and he was extremely condescending and said once I sign paperwork he cannot honor the coupon! Stay away from Freeway Honda. We agreed to a price of $2,000 over MSRP with Patrick from the internet department, however, when I was going over the figures with my bank, they charged me $3500 over. I didn't catch this gross rip off in pricing because they don't use normal paperwork like most dealers, but instead have an electronic system where you just sign, very confusing. After discovering the over charge I called and was treated like an idiot saying I did get car for $2k over. I'm not done with Freeway Honda until they reimburse me. The sales manager Joe(?) offered me a free oil change, wow. Dont go here. Would give them no stars if possible. I talked to the general manager. Hopefully something changes. Probably not. The salesman AND sales managers are ridiculous. I spent hours here, finally got a number we both agreed on. A white 2017 Acura TLX with 37k miles with 2 years warranty. Decided to trade in my car at the end. They lowballed me super hard. Wanted $4,000 under the value of my car because it had accident, which I understand, but it was still $2,000 under what another dealership was willing to offer. They suggested that I sold my car elsewhere. I took their advice, went somewhere else, sold it within the hour (for a GREAT PRICE btw) called back to close the deal but sadly my salesman went home already so I spoke to the manager. For some reason, they canceled the deal without telling me a reason other than "its just business" (exact words). I guess they would rather lose a customer than keep the integrity of their words since we have already had the numbers down on paper. A few hours later, my actual salesman called me from home, he agreed to give me the same deal we've worked out. Made an appointment but saw another deal at another dealership, to be safe, I had an appointment at both dealers. For the same car at Weir Canyon Acura/Honda. Got A MUCH BETTER DEAL AND SERVICE. The same car in black, WITH 100K ADDITIONAL WARRANTY AND AN ADDITIONAL SHOCK ALARM FOR THE SAME PRICE. Took less than an hour, most stress free car buying experience ever. The other salesman showed me all the features in my car after I purchased it and was willing to work with me on everything I wanted. Guess what??? Its their sister store ! Its under the same owner/company. I recommend them to all my neighbors who will be going there this week and will also purchase another car for my family there in the future. Listen to the reviews here. The salesman and sales managers are terrible. Worst buying experience I've ever had and I've personally owned 2 cars and 2 motorcycles. My credit is GREAT. This is for the Service department - Very dishonest dealer and overcharged. AVOID. My clarity had an evaporator leak last year. I had an extended warranty but they told me it was not covered and I ended up paying $1800. I called them today trying to schedule the repair for the recall but they said they don't have the part and didn't know when they will have the part (despite the letter from Honda stated the part is available). I called Hardin Honda (where I purchased my car from) and they said they will have the part tomorrow. I asked about my extended warranty in general anbd I incidentally found out that my AC issue should be covered by this extended warranty as it is covered by Fidelity, not honda. I am now calling Fidelity to file a claim to get reimbursed. In addition, this place charged $500 recently for a regular maintenance for nothing being wrong. It is ridiculous and I will never go back! read more

I have a Honda Accord Stick Shift and it was about time to replace my clutch so I went it for the service only to have it diagnosed for a $3600 plus tax fix to this. This was a horrible service experience. Brought my car (Pilot 2019) in last week with appointment, was assured on the phone it would take 2 hours to do a software upgrade due to a recall. Got there and the service rep (Jose Cabrera) told me it would take 2hrs. Waited for close to 4 hrs (10AM-2PM), spoke to Jose at the 3hrs mark and he was acting all surprised asking "I thought you were going to wait at home?" Why does that have anything to do with what you told me it will be done in 2hrs? He finally said the car is being worked on and will take another hour or so. After I got my car, went to get gas and drove to get food and then drove home and didnt drive again for 4 days. Came out today to the carport and immediately smelled gasoline all over the parking spot. Upon turning on the engine I see my tank is empty (after pumping a full tank of gas recently and drove maybe 20 miles on it). I dont know what they did while the car was in the shop, but this happened only after I brought it in. Now I need to bring it to another dealer to have it check. read more

Should know better than to trust car dealerships by now. We leased a Honda Odyssey for 3 years, and since it is worth more than the locked in price, it's a no brainer to purchase the vehicle. I suppose I should have prepared well in advance, but still.... The dealer offered great financing, had me negotiating for hours at the dealership then used excuse that my credit score went down this past Covid year (high credit usage) to say I They then offered me bad terms, but I reluctantly agreed. Then when I came to sign paperwork, they decided they needed bank statements, I blacked out my balances but they can see all the transactional data.....showing the cash flow in and out. Then they refuse to honor the deal and offer me even worse terms, knowing I can't go anywhere else on such short notice. I am signing this deal....but only because I know my credit will be better in a couple months and I can refi.... I would never, ever buy a car from here again. Love our odyssey, but between the 8 recalls we had to bring the car back in for and this past few days of horrible customer service, I would advise ALL stay away from this dealership.
