I would give zero stars if given the chance. This dealership is an absolute joke; and they make Toyota look very bad. We took our BRAND NEW, 2024 RAV4 in for scheduled service. We were initially ignored by the "service" department employees while they talked and laughed with each other. When we finally received some attention, we attempted to explain multiple times that there seems to be an issue with the computer system. They assured us they would look into it and hurried us along to sign the paperwork and leave. When we returned to collect the vehicle, shockingly, they did NOT inspect the computer system. When we pushed for it to be checked (again), it was explained to us that we would possibly be charged for the inspection; despite the vehicle still being covered under warranty. What we were actually told, was that they would inspect it; but, "if they determine it's our fault" they would charge us $200 for the inspection. This is absolutely unacceptable; and extremely poor service to say the least. We have always been a Toyota family, but we are now trading in the RAV4 for a different make vehicle. Wow!wow! Is the only way I can start this message. Today 04/21/22 came into the dealer to make a purchase on a hybrid Camry Xse. Tiffany was helpful giving us updates on the car and car info via email while I was at work. Tiffany stated it's a 1st come 1st serve on that Camry, so we headed out there. Once there Travis was the sales rep that started everything off. After credit app and credit approval we started talking numbers! A 37k Camry turned out to be 50k with bogus charges stating that the Camry had to have nitrogen tires, scotch guard for the interior, and a 2nd gps on it, and a 4K mark up. Camry wasn't even on the lot. Robbery is all i can say "Travis " implied that we had to take the extras and stated the mark up is due to used car sale prices on that car! Then we were presented with a paper saying that the black book car sales on that Camry was dealer asking price and would not budge.. dealer had to make money . Dealers make money no matter what unless the dealerships' don't have any cars to sell or service. Total BS.. Please Please don't buy from this dealer don't fall for the scam the have going on. The worst thing is, because hybrid cars are in high demand they want to justify the close to 13K mark up. Lastly, they didn't want to honor the 2.9% interest rate that we qualify for and that is clearly stated on their website. Total disappointment I will call corporate to file a complaint and call bbb. I had bad service here in the past, and had not been back for many years. I would like to support my community so i came back to have the passenger signal light bulb changed. Of course their usual bullshit that they would give me a full car inspection for free. In actuality, they just mess up your car more or dig out things to scare you into paying them for repair. After their so-call free inspection, my driver signal light stopped working. It worked fine when i drove in; but somehow the housing for the light burned. I came in to change the passenger signal light, and came out with burned housing for driver side signal light. They said it happed naturally. They refused to reconnect the housing and the light for me and forced me to repair it. Over this stupid thing, they lost a customer and i would never buy another Toyota unless i move out of this area. read more

I reserved a 2025 Tundra TRD Pro on Oct 11. Robert Hernandez got me sign docs to reserve the truck. I was in regular contact with him for almost two months getting weekly updates on the truck. I even visited their location at least three times during this two month waiting period. On Nov 26th he informed me that the truck is going to be arriving at the dealership today. After that he stopped responding to my text msgs and calls. Then I visited his office the next day and asked him why he's not replying to my msgs to which he replied that the truck hasn't come yet. On Nov 29th, when I asked for an update, he replied that unfortunately the truck was already sold to another customer. He sold the truck to another customer for more money than he promised me. Well these people are greedy and spineless. They don't care about their customers, all they care about is profits. Please Stay Away from this dealer and spread the word out as I would too. read more

First off this place is a scam, from their car prices to their car services. Over charge wherever they can. Went in for an oil change and requested only an oil change, they tried charging me damn near 250$. The kid working in service wasnt there mentally, kept on telling him the services I wanted and sneaked some BS services. Told them I had a coupon they sent me in the mail, they tried fighting with me about it and just charged me for the normal price of an oil change. Which was still 100+ $$$. Oil changers charges way less and you get out of there in 10-15 minutes, opposed to 2/3 Hours! According to their technicians, I needed new air filters, of course they were charging up the A$$ for them, so I bought the filters myself to do it and they were damn near brand new! This dealership posts misleading and disingenuous price advertisements. Their strategy appears to be to get potential buyers interested in a vehicle at promised price. But, then use "bait and switch" techniques. Once a buyer (like myself) responds online to a vehicle Ad, we are placed in their CRM software. (customer relationship management) . This includes phone calls, a stream of emails and texts. This is typical of franchise dealers. It's expected to be harvested. The difference at this dealership is that they have no intention of selling the particular vehicle they've advertised at the price they've offered. I think this violates the California business and professionals code. I'm in process of filling complaints with the DMV and the OAG. Perhaps, nothing will come of these. But, I'll do what I can to change their business practices. It's wrong. Am I unhappy I was unable to purchase the vehicle I wanted? Absolutely! The wasted time trying to correspond with them is unacceptable. Am I a sore for not being to purchase the vehicle they advertised at the price they advertised it for? Yup! I am blown away at the lack of communication from this dealership. I worked for the #1 luxury dealership in the nation for 7 years in the sales department, and could not be more disappointed in Freeway Toyota of Hanford. I contacted the dealership and spoke with Gabriela L in the BDC sales department on Saturday 9/28. I let her know I was interested in a particular pre-owned Tundra they had on the lot, but was interested in actual photos of the vehicle, as they only had stock photos listed online. I let her know I had my financing in place, had the check ready to sign, and wanted to make a deal before month-end. She informed me that she would send pictures to me as soon as possible. After a couple hours, I reached back out by text with no response. A couple hours later I emailed Gabriela asking if there was any update on the photos of the pre-owned Tundra, in which I received no response (shocker). I gave the BDC department and Sales team all day today (Sunday 9/29) to reach out, and I received zero communication. I am truly speechless with the complete and total lack of communication from this dealership's sales department. I am a customer who was ready to buy YESTERDAY, and the sales team completely dropped the ball. I checked my credit the other day and my credit report brings up a "vehicle loan" opened by this dealership for a car I DID NOT BUY. My credit score tanked because I had no idea this account was open and I let it sit there. I called the lending bank to cancel the account and they were just as shocked as I was. I read the reviews and had concerns but went to Freeway Toyota anyway because they were the only dealership I could find with the Highlanders in the nightshade color. So I drove up 3 hours from LA. Each salesperson there is going to run their sales business differently. If you want a great experience, work with Tim Grinstead. We worked through the deal the day before I came in. He even came in on his day off to make sure everything was on point. When I arrived he had done some preliminary paperwork and was really great about making sure everything was done quickly. Usually the sales guy walks away and talks to someone you can't see in another area or closed room. Some people say they aren't even talking to anyone and it's just a sales tactic. No shenanigans at Freeway. Everyone was in an open area. The finance person Neng was awesome too. I was in and out of there in about an hour and a half.
