For my friends birthday we went to Frenchie's for brunch. Since I attended a Yelp Elite event here I have not stopped recommending this restaurant. Started with glasses of champagne with an order of their cheese board ( which I still believe is the best cheese board around). My guests and I ordered the beef steak on a bed of delicious greens but the meat was sooo spicy hard to eat The bday gal brought this up to the owner who didn't respond at all to my surprise. Apparently my guest and her sister frequent Frenchie's quite a bit so they were surprised at the lack of service and the overspiced dish. Finished our meal with a bday brulee which was tasty as we headed home.

Stopped by here a few weeks ago on a Friday night to check out, went in for a drink and was surprised of the location. I've driven probably past here hundreds of times but had not known there was a store here, the atmosphere is nice inside, cozy and warming. Service was fast, I was immediately seated and was able to enjoy their white wine, but I really enjoyed their red wines! I saw some interesting options so I did the flight, and it was a great choice! Had the Cab, Pinot, and I believe the Merlot, all were great tasting but the one from Argentina had a wonderful aftertaste! I'll definitely be stopping by again to try out their other selections!

Perfect way to do a beautiful day in the city. I came to city originally to get Tacos but when I saw a line I decided against it. On this gorgeous day I thought why not some Tapas, I happen to find Frenchie Wine Bar. Since I saw some photos of octopus, I decided to come in and try it out. Let me say I was very very pleasantly surprised by ALL of it! Service was amazing! I didn't know many of the wines on selection so I let Natalia choose for me, when she hit it out of the park the first wine and octopus, I let her choose it all for me! The wine the appetizers the dessert all of it! And she hit it out of the park. At one point I was sipping on my wine while I waited for my food and the smell from the kitchen was so devine I was hoping I could ask what that smell was before I could I found out it was as actually my dish, the Grilled Octopus. The flavors the tenderness of the it all of it was perfectly well balanced. The deviled eggs with the Peruvian chili sauce was delicious! The Jamon, I was nervous the sour dough was going to over power it but NO! It was light and airy, the ripe tomatoes added the perfect acidity with all flavors working in symphony. The little potatoes omg perfectly cooked with delicious umami flavor, something so simple yet so flavorful! Thank you for an amazing meal!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30pm. They open at 2. There was only one other person when I arrived. I sat on the bench with my dog. They are dog friendly and offered my pup some water. Service was great and the interior is very cute. I really liked the decoration and ambiance. We ordered Rose, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc. We should have gotten a bottle to share but kept ordering glasses which in hindsight cost us more. I really enjoyed the Chardonnay. If you like your wine dry, I would recommend that over the Sauvignon blanc. The SB was sweeter and tasted more tart. For food, we got the deviled eggs, yuca fries, winter salad and the Peperonata spread. We enjoyed the deviled eggs so much that we ordered another plate. I also really enjoyed the winter salad. Super fresh, crisp and the strawberries really added to the flavor. My friends favorite was the Peperonata spread. There were anchovies in it which I really enjoyed.

    Nice interior !!

We came here to enjoy a glass of wine and appetizer on a Sunday afternoon! The interior was cozy, spacious and literally warm. I had the complimentary rose and burrata appetizer and got another two drinks from the menu. We loved the appetizer - different flavors all blended super well and the texture was great. We chatted a bit with the owner Natalie and she was super friendly. They might have a brunch coming up so stay tuned! Also the wine bar is pet-friendly!! Happy to see a wine bar that is pet-friendly! Thanks to Yelp elite experience!

Great ambience and seemingly a good spot for a first date because it felt like everyone around us was on a first date. Great wine and food selection too! Recommend.

Deviled eggs (not a full serving they were split up for us).

Wow! Love the wine selection and the appetizers! The yucca fries and deviled eggs are next level! Love the cute art and beautiful lamps! The service is also fast and available and friendly! Perfect spot for a friends meet up since it's a great atmosphere for conversation and community!

New wine bar in the area! It's also close to bart which is a plus. Amazing wine selection and perfect for dates! It's a spacious wine bar and the aesthetics are on point. Definitely get a bottle because it's worth it! Super friendly staff and service. These are probably the best deviled eggs i tried.

I went when it wasn't too busy, but was delighted to be greeted and treated like a special guest! The food was delicious along with a delicious glass of wine (only had one glass as it was midweek). The setting was relaxing but lively with great music. Will definitely return and highly recommend as a great spot especially compared to so many new spots in the area that don't share nearly the same fine attention to customer experience.

Food was amazing especially the deviled eggs (not shown) and grilled octopus. Service was fast and friendly. Great place to take your furry babies. Parking is difficult so take Lyft/Uber or public transport.

Read an article about Frenchie Wine Bar and had to check it out. We're so glad we did. Great ambiance. We had a charcuterie board and did some wine tasting. Joel and his wife were good people and very welcoming. And their Frenchie, Dolcetto, is a cutie! We'll definitely be back.

Lovely & cozy place, perfect for a date. My husband and I were seating by the window and enjoying the sun with a bubble glass of champagne. Highly recommended: hosting for a birthday or hangout with friends is ideal for an early evening. Astounding hospitality by Joel and Natalia they will ensure an enjoyable and peaceful ambience. We will definitely come back to try the grill octopus one of favorite dishes. Cram boule was just the perfect pairing. See you soon.

Thrilled about this new addition to the neighborhood! Met a friend for some post work drinks on a Wednesday. I arrived first so I started with a glass of Albarino. It was refreshing! Once my friend arrived, we ordered the charcuterie board, tiradito nikkei, the grilled octopus, and a bottle of a chilled red to share. Everything was fantastic! The charcuterie board was beautifully presented and we enjoyed everything that was offered. The tiradito was bright and fresh! I sadly did not take a picture because we dived right in. Grilled octopus is typically my favorite thing on a menu & it was a hit. The owners are super friendly and had great recommendations. We even got to meet their beautiful frenchie!! Looking forward to many more visits to Frenchie wine bar. Next time I will be bringing my pup along!

It's the perfect mix of a plant shop and wine bar, which gives it such a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Atmosphere The space has such a cool vibe with all the greenery, warm lighting, and eclectic décor. During the day, it feels like a beautiful plant shop where you can relax with a glass of wine, but at night it transforms into something completely different. I recently stopped by for a night visit and there was a DJ playing, and the whole place had such a fun, lively energy. It honestly didn't even feel like the same daytime spot, in the best way. Also, don't forget to check out the photo booth outside! It's such a fun little addition and adds to the overall Arcana experience and vibes. What I Ordered I've had both bottles of wine to share and wine by the glass here, and I've enjoyed both. Recently, I tried an orange wine that was really good and a fun change from what I usually order. Experience What keeps bringing me back is how Arcana feels like more than just a wine bar. It's a place where you can stop by after work, catch up with friends, enjoy a great bottle, or just soak in the atmosphere. The vibe is always unique and memorable. Final Thoughts Arcana is one of those SF spots that feels special. Whether you're looking for a chill wine night or a fun evening with good music, it's definitely worth checking out. I'll keep coming back and would highly recommend it. Overall, I'd give it a 5 out of 5.

Charging the $10 event fee on discretion before the posted event start time seems... shady? illegal? My two friends got in a few minutes before with no cover. You get perks as a thank-you for doing your part in making the City a cleaner place. We had just had a lovely time at another participating business (Beehive) and planned on Arcana being our final stop. Thankfully I was able to use the restroom without a fee, with my gear held up outside by the security team. While waiting in the restroom line, I told a staff member about all this, and the worker seemingly went up to the front to find out what's going on. The line took a few minutes, my friends also bumped into me, and I told them I'd likely wait for them outside the business post-restroom while they finished their wine. Already reported to the Mayor's Office. Maybe I'll add BBB. Should be honest and equitable! Four out of 200+ reviews by me have been one star, so I rarely share negativity. It's all rather unfortunate as other visits here went off without an issue. I warned a group of four about all this while I waited out front, and after talking to the front door folks, they left and thanked me for the advice. Please be careful if you visit here. . . .

The people were laughing, the drinks were flowing. It smelled really good, which we would later find out was from the food especially that Mac and cheese. We started off with different wines, some that Tom recommended based on what we told him we didn't like or did like. He apologized for our previous experience and was genuinely a nice guy. Honestly it's very admirable for a business owner to take feedback to heart and want to incorporate it. Plus he's a really cool guy when you get to know him. The staff was busy running around but still made time to come check on us. Our final verdict is we came on a bad day. This time we got the actual Waystone experience. We finally got to try the chicken bites with a creamy aioli, fries with yogurt sauce, and the star of the show was the Mac and cheese. Tik tok did live up to the hype and we will have to come back for one of their jazz nights. Be warned this place gets busy! But it's worth it.

The energy is vibrant without feeling overwhelming, and the noise level is just right. It's quiet enough to have a conversation and get lost in your own thoughts, but not so quiet that you feel awkward sitting in silence. Plus, the people watching was pretty entertaining, which definitely added to the experience. The three of us only tried two different wines. My friend ordered a glass of Masha, while my other friend and I both ordered the Los Chuchaquis. The verdict: Masha was really good. Good enough that a second glass was ordered! As for the Los Chuchaquis, I personally didn't love it. I found it a little too tannic and bitter for my taste. If you have a low tolerance for bitterness, this might not be the wine for you. That said, my friend, who ordered the same wine, absolutely loved it and thought it was delicious. So maybe I just ordered the wrong wine for my palate? ‍ Either way, the wine is only part of the experience. The energy here is fantastic, the bartender was welcoming and friendly, and the crowd was cheerful without being obnoxious, which I really appreciate. I'm not usually much of a night person, but I genuinely had a great time. It was one of those evenings that reminded me how nice it is to get out, enjoy good company, and simply soak in the atmosphere. I'm really glad I took my friends up on their offer to go out. Definitely a 5 star experience for the atmosphere, the energy, and the overall vibe. This seems to be such an interesting neighborhood. I'd love to come back and wander around, explore more, and discover what else this part of the city has to offer.
