If they had half stars, I'd probably give it a 4.5 instead of a 5. It took a while for service (understandably so being it was breakfast and busy), but with a rowdy toddler whose patience was wearing thin (despite bringing her snack to keep her at bay)... was tempted to leave but glad we stayed to try the food. Yes it seems a bit pricey being hotel food, but the blueberry pancake were great (husband was pleasantly surprised and said it was the best he has had before). The eggs were soft and fluffy (which the toddler liked), the sausage was good and I liked the variety they had for the potato. The sourdough toast didn't quite taste sour, which husband sounded a bit disappointed about... but the blueberry pancakes made everything better for everyone including the toddler.

The SALT toast was really good!!! It got all the flavor and so fresh! Busy for breakfast, grab a spot when you can!

    Oatmeal goodness!

Best vegan breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Doesn't taste vegan. Also has a vegan oatmeal option.

Street parking only, very scarce. No obvious signage, look for writing in the window. They have a…read morering type camera door system. Wait outside on the sidewalk (no exterior seating) and someone will come to take you inside. Do not ring the door bell. The theme is to take it slow. Each customer typically waits 20-30 minutes to enter as part of how they do things, even if there is open seating inside. Not sure if they use a timer to space entries but it seems consistent. They take one group in at a time. Interior: A few tables around the wall and then bar seating. Would not recommend for parties greater than 2, there just isn't the space. They welcome service animals, babies/children and strollers from what I observed. The music was very, very loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation. I did not see a bathroom. Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have an interesting concept where you have a digital 'tab' open on their toast website. Unfortunately you must provide your full name, email and phone number. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.

I have historically gone to the Scripps Ranch location since it is closer to my work, but I wanted to try this one out. It was pretty busy in the middle of a work day, but the line went quick. My friend and I tried the pistachio drinks - one matcha latte and one latte. They were both really good! The coffee was super smooth with no bitter after taste. I would definitely return to this location.

I've been getting the vanilla matcha latte with the seasonal biscoff crumble cream (I hope it's more of a permanent menu item, instead of seasonal). It's so delicious! All of my friends have also agreed that they love my drink. When I've gone, I've seen a long line and also a relatively short one. The wait is never too bad, as the line moves pretty fast. I think parking has also been not too bad, as there are plenty of street parking available. The cafe itself is really cute and I love the interior. There's a front section, but if you walk down the hallway, there's a back where there's more seating and an outdoor patio. Service has been good as well :) I will definitely be back!

They have baked goods as well as sandwiches u can order. Someone will ask u if u want baked goods first then u go down the counter to order drinks and sandos. Got the everything mochi bagel with cream cheese and the egg & chicken katsu sando. Everything mochi bagel 5/5: so fluffy and light yet still tastes like a bagel. Can be a lil salty on the top where the salt is but contrast with parts that dont have it. Egg sando 5/5: yummy and filling, has cucumber and the milk bread is thick and so fluffy! Chicken katsu sando 5/5: my favorite. I love the spicy mustardy sauce not sure if it's in the actual brown katsu sauce or separate mustard. My bf didnt like it but i loved it! Chicken also juicy and soft. The milk bread is so fluffy and lil sweet and perfect pairing. Interior has lots of tables and seating and they they also have an outdoor patio and they clean the tables frequently which is nice. Recommend!

I was eyeing the garlic butter croissant but the couple in front of me took the last one :( so make sure you come early if you're trying to get the popular pastries! First off tried the matcha croissant. I love matcha but wasn't really a fan of the croissant. I rarely tasted any matcha flavor, and did not really like the addition of the cream..but to each their own! I really liked the roe baguette , savory and crispy made a perfect snack. The bacon danish was also delish and the potatoes inside was a surprise. The karage sando was decent. I really liked how juicy yet crispy the chicken was! Wasn't too fond of the sour ness of the lettuce though. And wish that the toast was warmed up!
