Kids grilled chicken with French fries and vegetables
    Tara M.

We ate at the Marina Kitchen multiple times during our stay at the Marriott. Not only was it very convenient the food was delicious and they offered a healthy grilled chicken kiss meal option for our 2.5 year old. The fettuccine was absolutely amazing. I feel like they were making the pasta fresh. I had this on multiple occasions. I don't think there was anything I had that I didn't like. Prices were high, but everywhere we went in San Diego were similar. Most of the servers were great and knew little nuances to make our dining experience better. Such as bringing out the food early for our toddler. Drinks were great as well. Very fresh and delicious.

Our family chose the Marriott Hotel's Marina Kitchen for Christmas Day dinner, hoping for a warm, elegant holiday experience. Unfortunately, the evening began on a bumpy note when the manager spoke to us in an unprofessional and dismissive tone while directing us to our seating. For a major hotel, especially on Christmas, this was both surprising and disappointing. We shared our concerns with our cheerful and friendly waiter, who agreed the interaction was unacceptable and kindly said he would do what he could to make things right. He spoke to the manager on our behalf and let him know that we were upset and considering a formal complaint. The manager soon after came to our table, apologized, and said he did not realize how he came across. To help smooth things over, he ordered a round of drinks for the table, which we appreciated, but he should have done more. We then proceeded to the buffet. The food selection was decent and tasted good, but the décor was surprisingly plain for Christmas Day, simple, dull, and lacking any festive charm beyond a tree and some poinsettias on the tables. For the price and the occasion, we expected something much more special and thoughtfully presented. If it were not for our friendly, upbeat waiter who truly made an effort to save the experience, we likely would have left. As a family, we decided that next Christmas we will not be returning. Instead, we'll choose the Hotel del Coronado, where the atmosphere, service, and festive presentation always feel magical and worth the occasion.

The restaurant has a nice, casual atmosphere with great service. The tomato soap is delicious, and the burgers are really good as well. It's also very convenient, which makes it an easy go-to spot. While nothing stood out as extraordinary, everything was solid and met expectations.

Ordered the Garlic Creme Fettuccini with shrimp. It was good if you're wanting something very rich and creamy. Portion was a lot - good to share. Wouldn't order again. Was too rich for my taste.

Came for lunch during a work conference at the hotel. We had a fairly large party and we're seated quickly. The crab salad I ordered was fresh and delicious, but definitely needed either another protein or a carb addition. It wasn't very filling. Most tables have a nice view of the pool.

The food and cocktails are delicious! Very Friendly Service. Day or night, family, group gathering or even a date is a great idea. We came in as a group during dinner. After dinner with a few friends went there for wine late night chitchat.

Maurice & John are the omelette king!!!!

We've been here a few times for dinner and Sunday brunch. Very enjoyable. Maurice & John are the omelette kings, making it exactly the way you want it, with a smile. Roasted beet salad for dinner, with chicken or salmon add-on is the bomb.

This restaurant is located inside the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. We came here for lunch during our stay at the hotel. Operating hours are from 6a to 10p (closing 2-5p). Inside is spacious and with contemporary design. Service is slow. We spend 15 mins waiting for our orders to be taken and then another half an hour for dishes to arrive. The food tastes average. Plating looks ok. The pesto tortellini is not with pesto. The burger comes with potatoes chips. When our order was taken, we were asked whether we want the burger with salad or fries. So we replied with fries without knowing that both salad and fries were charged extra $2. Also a duplicate order of market vegetables came which i sent back. We have four people in our party and we each order a dish. When the bill comes, as expected i see two market vegetables on the bill which i have to point out for the duplicate order to be taken out from the bill. All in all it is not anywhere close to a pleasant experience.

Been going here for a few years now. Mainly just at the bar but did have the breakfast buffet here recently. They do not have traditional breakfast options. You have to order the buffet which includes coffee and Juice. The cost is $40 for the buffet. I would not recommend this to locals but for somone staying at hotel it's very convenient. The highlight is the omelette station which normally has 2 employees making fresh omelettes with your choice of ingredients. They have bacon and sausage and the bacon is cooked properly! Not limp but firm and crispy. They have cereal and granola and also pancakes and tench toast. Also has pork buns and Asian noodles with fresh toppings and sauces. The Pork buns were a little cold and the bun itself was a little harder than normal. The omelette was amazing. Plenty of cheese and ingredients. It was the highlight of the buffet. The buffet at Anaheim Marriott is better but this will do. I would rate this a 7 out of ten. The bar is great and opens at 630 as well. Pricing can fluctuate. On 1 weekend I ordered a Caddilac Margarita and got charged 3 different prices for it. Bar tenders are very friends. I love the atmosphere too.

    Chicken Fettuccine

Had a private event in the wine cellar. The barstools are horribly uncomfortable for a 3 hour dinner. The cellar itself is beautiful, but whoever thought of the seating needs to reconsider. It's narrow and hard for staff to maneuver. That said, Gigi was the bright shining star. She was so sweet and efficient and somehow omnipresent. She was the best. The shrimp appetizer, Parker rolls and chips were the best of the food I had. The piece of ribeye I tasted was good, but the cook was over. The chicken fettuccine was overcooked, both the chicken and the pasta. The chicken was so so dry and lacked flavor despite clearly having seasoning. It was strange. The pasta was almost mush. There was no cheese flavor at all. It was just bland. The Caesar salad had almost no dressing and there was little cheese. It was kind of like just eating plain romaine and croutons. The seven layer dessert was good but so very rich. It overpowered the ice cream that came with it. The espresso was good. Overall, passable because of a few bright spots, top notch service.

Well, the service in atmosphere is decent, the food is laughable. There should be no reason why they charge you $22 for a small flatbread that is almost entirely premade crust and barely any toppings. It is not worth it, and the taste is really lackluster.

This kitchen located inside the Marriott hotel in Downtown and serves only beverages. They do have a self service/ to-go menu for food, and its a pretty good one with quite a few vegetarian options. Its open everyday from 6.30 Am and closes at midnight. Our order was: 1. Roasted Beet Salad : delicious and filling 2. Shishito Peppers: ordered purely out of curiosity, it was great actually for a person who can handle spice. I ate it as a salad as is, but also put it in a tortilla to make it underated odd franky. Both were good. 3. Cacio Pepe Cauliflower: This is pecorino romano, ricotta, almond, with black and blue seasoning- I don't know half of the ingredients mentioned here...lol! - But it was good. 4. Creme Brulee : this was exotic. Overall , a great dinner enjoyed in PJ's in the hotel room.

    Parkerhouse rolls and burger
    Jan H.

I went here recently around the Christmas holiday as we're there for a short stay. The restaurant was pretty slow, and it was in the evening so fairly dark and intimate atmosphere. We had a reservation although didn't need one. We were seated fairly quickly but then it seems we were kind of forgotten about for a while. When we finally got a server and decided what we wanted, our food came out fairly quickly. One of my favorite items were the parkerhouse rolls, they were warm, just a bit toasty on the outside, and soft on the inside and came with a side of butter. These rolls were so delicious, and the perfect comfort food I wanted at the time. I also ordered the lobster roll which was loaded to the brim with lobster meat. I would have like the roll to have been toasted a bit more but it was very good. It came with a side of chips which were good, but nothing spectacular. The other person in my party ordered the burger and fries which they like a lot, but also couldn't finish as it was a large portion. The fries came with a few onion rings in it which I liked, and they automatically brought ranch out with it, which is appreciated. Overall the food was great and portions were good size, but the service was lacking a bit. They never even came back to ask if we wanted any drink refills, and it took a while for them to bring us the check and some boxes. We actually had to flag the server down to get their attention as we were ready to go. I would give them another chance as I did enjoy the food.

The restaurant itself is lovely, so classy. The ocean view was amazing. My waiter was very kind and attentive throughout the night. French Onion Soup: it had great flavors and i liked that they used gruyère unlike some places being cheap lol. The broth and onions were tasty but I wish the bread wasn't as mushy. I have had french onion soup where the bread is still crisp after being broiled. That's me being nit-picky! 4.5/5 Oysters: tasty, good side accompaniments! Some shell in there but i understand it's hard to shuck sometimes. 4.5/5 mocktails: for someone who doesn't care for alcohol the fake alcohol was a little too convincing but for someone who couldn't drink, they're great and pretty! desserts: both really well done and the raspberry or strawberry streak of sauce is very good. Food - 5 Stars We started with the Tempura Rock Shrimp, which was really good! The Yuzu honey aioli dipping sauce was amazing. Loved this dish! My wife had the Chilean Seabass (which - side note - I always think is funny because FYI Chilean Seabass is not actually seabass. Look it up! It's actually a Patagonian toothfish!). Anyhow, it was amazing! I stole a few bites. I didn't get a photo of it, but it was a good portion and the fish was cooked perfectly. The risotto paired so well with the fish and had a ton of flavor. Highly recommend this dish! I had the Swordfish Sandwich. Everything about this sandwich was really really good. The fish was exactly how I expected it to be, meaty! Loved the brioche bun and the sauce. However, I would have preferred more sauce. If I were to order this again, I would see if they could give me some extra sauce. The sandwich came with French fries. I wasn't a big fan of the seasoning. The French fries tasted like bbq chips, and I don't like bbq chips lol. I somehow didn't notice that on the menu it actually says "BBQ spiced", and had I saw that I would have just asked for the fries without the seasoning. But, they were still cooked well and so if you like bbq flavor chips then you will love these fries. For dessert we got the chocolate brownie. It was AMAZING. The brownie was soft, moist, and very rich in flavor. I would totally get this again - and next time I would ask for extra ice cream. Especially if you're planning on sharing this with someone, an extra scoop of ice cream would be good. View - 5 Stars Epic view truly. Obviously a big reason why many people including ourselves come here. We wanted the view for our date night, and it really did not disappoint. We had dinner around 7pm so we got to see the sunset which made it even more romantic. TIPS: There was a pretty big parking lot, but we still took an uber here instead. It was our first time and didn't know what to expect. Also, Seaport Village closes up at 9pm, so if you're planning on walking around the village after your dinner, make sure you plan your dinner time accordingly. Definitely make reservations ahead of time. When we arrived, they were turning people away that didn't have reservations. Fortunately for us, we did! :) If you plan on going later in the evening and sit on the balcony, it's semi-indoors. Basically it's outdoors, but covered, and it got pretty cold for me. So plan to bring a jacket or a sweater.
