This is my experience at the fresh burger stock. We went through the drive-through and they were quick to answer and excellent customer service on the microphone. It's taco Tuesday, so we ordered two sets of three tacos. Upon receiving our tacos, I opened them up and was very unimpressed with not just the look of the tacos, but the taste. Ingredients were thrown all over the tinfoil and one of the tacos wasn't even a full taco as you can see in the picture below so, customer service four out of five and food one out of five. Overall, two out of five.

I brought my family here 5 years ago and that experience wasn't very special. Decided to give it another shot today with my wife. The whole experience in a gas station still interesting but that same gas station now has a local Doughnut place that has earned its place as a long time home town hit. So that gives this burger place a little more legitimacy. This trip I ordered #5 which is Burger with grilled onions and bacon with chipotle Aioli on toasted/grilled bread. Service was great a youngster high schooler. We ate inside again. Burger was pretty good and Fries and Orings pretty good. I've changed my rating to 4 stars from my previous rating 5 years ago

The carne asada fries here are seriously the best - crispy, loaded, and full of flavor in every bite. Pair them with the strawberry lemonade and you've got the perfect meal. The workers are always so kind, which makes it an even better place to come back to! Pictured below is the "#4 Double Cheese Burger" which is just as amazing.

Don't not go here because it's in a gas station - who cares. Our burgers were really big, really tasty. Time it took to get our food was a wee bit longer than I would have liked, but it was lunch rush and they're probably short staffed, so understandable. Seating/ambiance was basic, but you're in a gas station so what do you expect. read more

Avocado burger - good but nothing special Bacon cheeseburger - the preferred burger $15 after tax for 2 burgers. Food took awhile even though it's a drive-thru at a gas station (we went inside to order, maybe the actual drive thru is faster). We sat outside on the patio. This quirky spot lives up to the hype! Inside a gas station, not the most appetizing vibe - but we gave it a shot. Both our burgers were sizable, tasty, and generously laden with all the fixings. They surprisingly offered gluten-free bun options. Tasty fried pickles came in spears and the Parmesan fries were an ample portion - both perfectly crisped. This is the best burger in Estes Park AND cheaper than McDonald's. This is at the Sinclair gas station, look for the green dinosaur (Dino). The burger stop is an independently owned burger joint. Burgers, tortas, burritos, wraps, all delicious and all made FRESH. Really great place. Excellent smash burgers served on a fresh Brioche bun! There is a donut shop on the other side of this Sinclair station too that is also very good. Do not forget to order a burger, side of curly fries, huge fresh onion rings and a milk shake. (Grilled Chicken sandwich, mushroom smash burger, curly fries, onion rings, spinach wrap & drinks) for around $35 and loved it. Plus I tipped them 20% for the effort, They have a drive through too. If you are tired of expensive eating in Estes, get here now. read more

So in the past several years, I've only ordered drive up and picked up the food at the drive up window. This week I rode my bike there and I ordered from inside the gas station and by the way, if you've ever lived in Louisiana you know some of the best food is in the gas stations. Anyhow, this was the first time I've ordered from inside the store and I did notice one thing and hopefully the proprietor will read this and correct it. It's pretty darn dirty and it makes me wonder what it looks like behind the counter where I can't see. If you're like my mom, this might be very important to you. But who knows maybe this is why the burgers are so good. May she rest in peace, The owner here reads the reviews. I am pretty darn sure he will see this, and he will fix the issue. read more

Burgers from a gas station? Yep! Best value in Estes Park. $36 for 4 full meals. ($72 at another place in downtown). Burgers were fantastic. Juicy and big. I got the avocado burger and it was great. You could choose curly fries for no extra charge and the basket came with a large fountain drink. Food didn't take long to come out. You can drive thru as well. There is seating at the other side of the gas station by the Donut Haus counter. Highly recommend. Everything was hot and fresh! read more

Great service by the younger guy at the register and incredible burgers. Got the fresh burger for me and husband got the spicy burger. Perfect for after hiking all morning at RMNP. If you're looking to sit (cause this restaurant IS in the gas station) they have clean seating on the opposite side of the gas station! We'll be stopping back through again next time we visit the park! read more

Oh my. I never thought I would be such a fan of gas station hamburgers but this place is amazing. The fresh cut fries were hot and crispy and just the right salty. The burger was fresh and hot and perfectly cooked and assembled. I hate to recommend this place because it's already busy, but it's a delightful and delicious alternative from the chain or overcrowded tourist stops. Get the #4 combo. They have a full menu of burgers and other foods, but when you have a winner, stick with that. Oh yes. Also had a breakfast sandwich one day and that's worth trying too. Everyone I sent here (it was a lot) loved it too. It isn't a place I would expect to have good food; it is a gas station after all, but when I see a bunch of construction company trucks in the drive through, I figure it's got something going for it. read more

Avocado Burger was very good. Classic Double Cheeseburger was good also. Both the curly cut fries and the cut fries were good. Way better than McDonald's. And for about the same price. Service was great. Very accommodating to me food allergies. They have a drive thru and you can even order inside. They are located inside the Sinclair gas station along with Donut Haus. read more

The place to go if you're in the know! Tucked inside the Sinclair station (with another local gem, Donut Haus), Fresh Burger Stop is made-to-order and delicious! Their menu is diverse and the burgers and wraps we ordered were crafted with care to omit and add ingredients. Check the message board inside or back by the drive through for the daily special. Staff was great about my lactose intolerance! They double checked the ingredients of the bun (since that wasn't made in house) and showed it to me. My burger was delicious! This was a great stop to grab food before heading in to RMNP and I will definitely come back. (This also didn't feel like gas station food, it was of much higher quality than you typically see!) read more

Don't doubt on the placement! This place was amazing despite being attached to a gas station! We got the spicy burger and the asada torta! Both were amazing, burger had the perfect juicy flavor and went perfectly with the peppers. The Torta's look wasn't amazing but the flavor was out of this world! Man, I love using Yelp to find good places to visit. The burgers here are excellent, and you can sit down and enjoy every bite. The reason for 4 stars is that the guy taking my order never looked at me once, never a thank you or anything. It was like a human kiosk was taking my order. Great food, great prices and pretty quick! We recommend this place! You can drive through or go in. If you drive through, there may be a few minutes wait for your order--they aren't McDonalds pre-making large quantities of burgers--they cook it when you order it. So if you're in a super hurry, you can order in advance and pick up your food. Best drive through I've been to in a LONG time. We looked up reviews and the menu caught our eye as it's a bit out of the ordinary. Dont let it throw you off that it's inside a Dino Mart. 10/10 great quick stop made fresh and made to order not like they have things sitting out to heat up. On an Estes Park standard, this place is a cut above for food quality! Very flavorful, good value, nice steamy hot fries and other sides that are higher end for a fast food style place. The kids fruit cup is always surprisingly great and a huge portion. We're locals (Boulder County) and stop here for lunch often when in Estes. It's easy to miss from the road as it's part of a gas station and convenience store. Recommend the drive through. read more

It was that good the first time that we decided to come back and do it all over again the next day. Parking is somewhat limited, but we arrived early on weekday mornings and had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant is charming from the outside, with a colorful "Greetings from Estes Park" old postcard mural that makes for a great photo opportunity. Inside, the atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and both days we were lucky enough to snag a window booth. Our first experience set the tone right away. We walked in just as a server was arriving for her shift. Noticing nobody was at the host stand, she seated us before even putting away her personal belongings. That's customer service. For breakfast, I ordered a special that I can't seem to find on the menu now--an Eggs Benedict with pulled pork. I debated swapping the greens for potatoes but decided to be healthy. To my surprise, the dish was served on crispy potato pancakes instead of an English muffin, which meant I got the best of both worlds. The combination was fantastic, and honestly, I think Eggs Benedict works even better on potato pancakes than on bread. Every bite was packed with flavor. The next morning, I made myself try something different, even though I was tempted to order the same thing again. I chose the Cambridge Skillet: smoked ham and bacon with jack and cheddar cheeses over seasoned ranch potatoes, topped with two over-easy eggs and creamy hollandaise. It was delicious and hearty, although my first day's breakfast still edged it out as my favorite. I also sampled my friend's whole wheat blueberry pancake. It was enormous and surprisingly flavorful. I especially appreciated that many of their sweeter breakfast options come with eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. It's a nice balance and makes for a more satisfying meal. We also got mimosas, each of us ordering a different flavor, and they all tasted the same. Barely any fruit flavor at all - and for $14 each this was a real bummer.

There was a line when we got there, and it was out the door by the time we reached the front. Inside is small up front, but there's more seating around the corner plus plenty outside along the riverwalk area. The place was clean, the staff efficient and friendly, and it's a cute spot to sit. Large coffee menu, plus sandwiches, toasts, and snacks made fresh to order. Seasonal coffees -- tried a campfire-type and a coconut-type. Both fine. Not bad, not the best I've had, and not something I'd rush back for. Breakfast sandwich on a croissant -- my biggest gripe. Utterly dry and almost tasteless. The sausage, egg, and cheese were gas-station ready-to-go territory. Their bread comes in fresh-baked, but they ran the croissant through the toaster and torched it, which only made it drier. A breakfast sandwich should be juicy, cheesy, buttery -- this one needed a sauce just to get it down. Sandwich on sourdough -- a little better, but still just okay. Fine place if you're already in the area, and the coffee's fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Would recommend, would not return.

Simple menu with soup/salad bar included with most meals small fee to add to sandwich meals. Fresh lettuce but small simple bar. Homemade soup. Certainly seems like homemade items. Decent fish and chips. Chips are good just needs flavor. Good crispy batter on the fish, not the best piece of fish. Good mashed potatoes and breaded shrimp Good service!

All symptoms point to food poisoning. We will not be back. This was our first visit to You Need Pie. What we liked: Our waiter was really hospitable, friendly, and did his best to provide service in a timely way despite being the only server available for all the customers. The coffee was decent, though in a small mug, and so was the hot chocolate we orders for the kids (which came with whipped cream, much to their delight!). The decor on the walls felt kind of scanty but what is there was cute. There is a pretty wide pie selection. Food serving sizes were okay. The single person bathroom was clean. What we didn't like: *The $2 veg add-ins of onion and jalapeños to the $12 omelette were raw. *The corned beef hash was extremely basic and barely seasoned, the potatoes were well cooked but bland and pale. It was edible but not worth $15. *Our party ordered a $9 bread bowl soup and waffle fries as well; it was eaten but the cheese ingredient was really overpowering in flavor - the small size was a good thing, in this case, because otherwise it couldn't have been finished. *The batter on the chicken tenders in the kid's meal were almost burnt on the edges, but still pale everywhere else. Something off with the oil temperature I guess. They didn't get eaten. *The color of everything was pretty much all beige and served on white plates, which impacted the impression of the meal - zero visual appeal. One of my favorite parts of eating at mom-and-pop diners is the way the meals feel homey, warming you from the inside out. This did not create that kind of impression. Lastly, the pie (which was the main draw for us and why we picked this dining option). We ordered one slice of rhubarb at $6.25. The pie was very disappointing - something in it was either stale or had gone bad. It tasted really unpleasant and we ended up throwing it away. Our total for everything was about $80 with tip and it was sadly not money well spent. We love stand alone dining options but probably will not be returning.

It was well-balanced and refreshing. They had a singer-songwriter performing in the dining room the night we were there. He was really good. Sound level was perfection. Loud enough to hear the music but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. Ambiance was very nice. Staff was great too. Service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend The Rock Inn. We'll be back for sure the next time we're in Estes.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere is reminiscent of a classic ski lodge. The staff is friendly and the whole vibe is so relaxed! We will make this our go to when we come into town .
