Great service! Removed 1 star because their poke is too saucy for my liking (and I love sauces). I got the spicy salmon and tako. Solid 5 stars for the sheer variety, but the flavours weren't speaking to me, so it's still a great 4 stars. We had the (pictured) wasabi ahi, spciy ahi, hawaiian blend, shoyu poke, salmon poke, limu kohu ahi, lomi salmon, furikake fries along with (unpictured) smoked meats and potato salad. If you love poke, it's worth trying. My favourite was the wasabi ahi, but that's counterintuitive, bc w poke, you *want* to taste the fresh fish. You really don't want to mask the flavours, esp with strong wasabi, unless it's gone semi-bad, and like a scab you can't help picking, I kept reaching for the wasabi ahi. My other real favourite was the lomi lomi salmon. It was SO good, I ordered two, pint containers to go, which turned out to be too much for one person to finish over the next several days (no one in our party wanted any bc we kept going out to eat & returning completely stuffed). So I ended up taking several bites at every pass of the refrigerator everyday for 3-4 days so it wasn't wasted. It pairs well with rice or chips...and ice cold beer. It also has more than your daily requirement of salt. I was pretty bloated. But it was well-worth it. Definitely go if you're in the area or passing thru...and leave those kind folks a nice tip. If you can afford Hawaii, you can afford to drop a $5 or $10. read more

This particular Fresh Catch has been a family favorite for years. The workers are nice, the poke is one of my personal favorites on the island, and it just hits the spot every time! Our personal favorites are their fried chicken, spicy ahi katsu, Hawaiian Spicy Ahi poke. But, whatever you order-- you won't be disappointed! After eating at the Waialae location, and absolutely loving it, wanted to give the Kaneohe location a shot because it's closer to home. Customer service was fantastic! Girl at the counter was very friendly. The poke was good, but something about the Waialae location was just a little better. The Wasabi Ahi in particular didn't taste fresh. I also ordered a fried chicken with fries plate, which was fried well and not oily at all. My main complaint was none of the poke was labeled in the case when I went, so I had no idea what I was looking at. We heard this place had some great seafoods and was lucky we passed by it on our way to North Shore. The restaurant's name served it justice. Their poke were fresh and full of flavors. They sell by the pound, so you can get as many as you want. Prices were decent as well. Our server was patient, friendly and very helpful with our selections. Fresh Catch has different locations on the island (Here, Waialae, and now in Pearl City!) but I frequented this location during school. This place is definitely not as crowded as it is in town. Lots of free parking in the back! I love how this place does fresh poke and hot plate lunches; it appeals to different people! My favorite poke is their spicy salmon. My parents love their tako poke. They use a lot of sauce to coat their salmon poke and add a pinch of Hawaiian salt. My go-to plate lunch is their ahi belly! They coat this with a different sauce that is just mouthwatering. I also like their steak plate which is pretty cheap for a great quality plate! read more

My friend and I picked up food today from the Kaneohe location. The employees were extremely rude, especially the older woman with short hair. She was very snippy with us when we ordered. We ordered 2 poke bowls and a garlic chicken plate. We were given a buzzer for the garlic chicken plate. The buzzer never went off, my friend asked about our food. We were told "yeah it went off earlier, I saw it. It doesn't just light up to look pretty." We were the only ones there waiting, if someone noticed the buzzer go off why did they not just tell us. It definitely did not buzz as we would have felt it. In addition, we paid extra for tossed salad instead of Mac salad and got home to see we were given Mac salad. We've visited the other locations and never had service like this. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience with this employee, but this time was extremely rude and unnecessary. This experience really turned us off from returning again and just wanted to make sure the owner is aware of how this employee treats people. It ruined our mood and made us not even want the food once we finally got home. Hoping it can be addressed so other people aren't treated the way we were. read more

One of the best places to get fresh Poke on the island. Fresh Catch is located on Kam Highway just before you hit American Savings Bank. PARKING There are about 20 or so stalls on the premises. So sometimes it may get crowded. Best times I found an abundant amount of parking is around 6pm. Never had an issue whenever I come around that frame. RESTAURANT Place is fairly clean. About a dozen tables. Some that can accommodate a decent size group of 8. They also have alcohol, BUT you can't consume it in the restaurant. The poke selection is fairly large and a lot to choose from. They also have a wide selection on their regular menu and some daily specials as well FOOD You need to order some poke with your food. Definitely a must try is the spicy Hawaiian which comes with ahi, onions, limu and the best damn spicy sauce. One of our staples is the crab sandwich combo which comes with furikake fries with a sweet mayo sauce. Also, the smoke meat plate is excellent. I've tried almost all their Seafood here and have not been disappointed. The Ahi Katsu is my wife's favorite. Ahi is dense and packs a lot of flavor. If you're in a rush you can call ahead and they have a drive through where you can ring the bell and pick up your food. read more

We'd been in Hawaii for a few days already, and I was craving some poke. My fiancé doesn't like raw fish, so we went to Fresh Catch, which seemed to have a combination of the two. There's a parking lot around the restaurant, and luckily we found a spot. Walking inside, it looked a little run down. A local spot, I told myself. Unfortunately the cashier was a total b-word. Didn't help their case. I ordered the seared ahi special, which was decent. My fiancé got something more cooked, and he thought it was okay. Turns out he got food poisoning later on. Probably the worst part about this place. On the bright side, we came here to get some wedding planning done. The tables and seats weren't the cleanest, but they made do. I wouldn't come here again or recommend it. There's a go-to poke place I have, and I should have stuck to that. read more

Been coming here for years as this is a Kaneohe landmark. Their specialty is dried tako. My former neighbor and buddy of mine used to come here with me years ago and we were always impressed. Today they were out of dried tako so I ordered the tako poke and the island tako. Tako poke was ok but I didn't like the overwhelming high sodium content. I really wanted to like the island tako as it had tomatoes, and other local ingredients... but again it was too salty for me. If you love fish and fresh seafood, this may be the place for you. Poke is our food in Hawaii so this place is always busy, doesn't seem to matter what your order day it is. I would suggest doing a phone order (that's of they answer the phone). I waited super long for my order and was only the second person in line, people behind of me was getting their orders before me. We love the drive thru feature of the current location. However, the new location will not feature a drive thru; poor planning for Kaneohe customers in my opinion. Almost anything with a drive thru is successful in Kaneohe. We love the ahi belly without the sauce as it's not only fresh and tasty, it's crispy as well. Yum! Anyways, my kids got the Garlic Chicken plate lunch, my wife got the Special of the Day (sautéed shrimp), and I got the Ahi Katsu. They were all delicious. I normally like to order their furikake mayo fries, but I haven't been here in a while that I must've totally forgot. I had to get a 1/4lb of spicy ahi poke to go with my plate. I've loved their Ahi Belly, but I had to try something else. The Ahi Katsu was sooo yummy with the sauce. My kids Garlic Chicken plate was so garlicky good. The shrimp on my wife's sautéed shrimp plate was really small sized, but very flavorful. The restaurant has a few tables and chairs in and outside the place. The tables are wobbly for some reason and the food does take long because they were busy at the time and they don't cook it til you order it so it's probably highly recommended to phone order. This place been here for many years now and it also features a drive thru..whaaaaat lol. The old crew were always friendly and auntie there was always smiling, called you by first name (now its numbers)..was local-kine, personal...I traded recipes and cooking techniques w/the guy in back doing the Stew Luau, he always with a smile, ME w/a SMILE...But now that they expanded, it seems they have LOST that local flair that kept us going back for local kine grinds. $$$ now too. When I want good quality poke and looking for a good plate lunch, this is the place to go. It's the only place I'll buy sashimi in Kaneohe. And of course you gotta buy some poke too, right?! And if you're having Hawaiian food at home, they have the best lomi salmon here. Tons of salmon inside with the right amount of tomato and onion. Mmmm. Their plate lunches here are pretty bomb too. My personal fave is the ahi katsu. Freshly battered and fried... when you eat it, the fish is nice and flaky and goes great with the aioli! Another household fave is their smoked meat. Today, they were out but the girl was nice enough to go check at one of the neighboring stores if they had smoked meat. Unfortunately, no luck. That's ok. Brownie points for trying. Lots of parking in their private lot. Store is located right next door to Pizza Hut. Watch out when you turn right into the driveway entrance. It's a tight turn you have to make. I would have given this place another star; however, the attitude of the person serving our poke was extremely rude. I could understand that if there was a long line in back of us, she would be pushing us to make our decision for our order, but there was none. She might have been having a bad day, but that doesn't make it right to pass it on to others. This was our second time to this location. The first time we came was when it first opened - before Triple D. At that time, I wasn't impressed with the fried mahi plate lunch I got. This time, the things I didn't like was the mushy rice and the amount of Mayo sauce that was on the spicy Hawaiian. Granted, it might have been my fault that the rice got mushy since I didn't eat it right away. As for the Mayo sauce, I couldn't taste the ahi. If I ever eat here next time, I gotta buy some chips and use the sauce as a dip. Now for the pros - the Kitchen sink poke is a winner winner ahi dinner! Talk about yummy awesomeness! This is the second Fresh Catch that I have eaten at within a week. Their poke is super fresh and I love all the choices! If only I had a bigger stomach. I like the fishing pictures on the walls and the whole theme. Tables are covered with a blue table cloth that makes it easy to clean. My favorite was the Spicy Ahi and the Furikake Seared, which comes with rice. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Also love that locals eat here, so it's legit. read more
