We've both been to their Waialae location a few times and figured we couldn't miss. What was clearly an old Taco Bell, they made their unique mark with lots of sea and fish items. They have a bunch of casual booths inside if you're eating there. The poke counter is at the back; don't worry if things are empty, they'll make more fresh! Utensils and sauces are to the right. After ordering at the counter, pay at the left. They have a bunch of beer and alcohol selections beside the cashier, but they are only to-go. Portion sizes were generous, rice was fresh. I got a couple different salmon pokes, one ahi poke, and seaweed salad. 1/4 lb each. Your charged based on weight. Came out to almost $20. It was so good. Fish was not chewy at all. I love the seafood dishes at this restaurant in Kaneohe. I also love the sides. The service is an efficiently run walk-up counter. It moves quickly so you probably will be called in 10 minutes to pick up your food. We dined in, which I liked. Everything was nice and hot, and if you needed more sauce you could easily get it. Great service and bomb food here. Been here a few times and it can get super busy during lunch rush hours. Parking can fill up and it's a headache to wait for a stall to open. My wife and siblings love the dry aku here. My go to is the "Ahi Katsu" plate so good and fresh. The reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that the tables need to be wiped down. The younger girl who is working the poke station, cash register, and drive thru was extremely rude and made for an unpleasant experience. She was very hasty and inpatient & her attitude was through the roof. Ruined the food experience before we even had a chance to try it. She seems like she hates her job and the customers. It looked like she was being shifted from work station to work station every 5 minutes. Ordered the spicy ahi katsu and the food took 30 minutes to come out. Also the cook in the back was sneezing. The salmon poke was disgustingly sweet and the ahi katsu didn't even come out hot. Disappointing as I have been to the location in Kapahulu and the employees there are super friendly and welcoming. They serve it by the weight of the seafood you order. I ordered 1/4 lb. each with one scoop of rice. Amazingly fresh and clean tasting when you it. The service was very genuine and kind. I wanted to grab poke but after trying 3 different kinds at the counter and not liking any of them I awkwardly ordered a side piece of pastele. I tried a 4th kind of poke that my friend ordered and it was terrible. The fish didn't taste fresh and the seasonings were overdone/ heavy handed. Ahi seemed like previously frozen not good quality cuts. Maybe it's just me or maybe it's better to go before 6pm? Pastele was yummy. Good size, flavor and amount of meat although it only had 1 olive inside. Plenty of parking and they sell beer. Man, the poke was sooo tender so you know it was super fresh. The furikake salmon was moist, the Doritos salad was refreshing (love the crunch from the Doritos!), and the smoked meat salmon was so ono!
