Was expected a bit more from $14.95 Hell's Kitchen Sink Bowl
    Lei H.

I was underwhelmed by the açaí bowl. It's okay but a bit of an unimpressive presentation. Probably not going to come back again. Good aircon. No bathroom. The person serving us had low energy.

Green Machine for me and a Fireman for my favorite hairstylist next door.
    Jessica R.

I ordered the Green Machine for myself and a Fireman for my hair stylist. The Green Machine was delicious and tasted fresh. I had no wait time. My order was ready in minutes after I paid the cashier. There is limited bar stool seating and no restroom. The cashier was professional and courteous. The open kitchen was nice, you see how clean and fast the employees are working. I'll definitely stop by again when I get my hair done.

My sister is obsessed with Fresh From Hell (rightfully so) and we had an Açaí bowl and juice every morning we were in town. I loved the Double Dare Devil (no peanut butter), the chia, hemp, and flax seeds were amazing additions that I don't usually get! The C+ juice was delicious and the perfect antidote for the cold I was coming down with.

I'm always on a hunt for a healthy green smoothie and found this place one day when I was walking around. It is a small café with not a lot of seating, but the staff was incredibly sweet and service was very quick. My smoothie was delicious and I enjoyed it. It definitely had a fresh fruit and vegetable taste and the best part is, it tasted natural. Definitely had a fresh fruit and vegetable taste and not like other places with overly sweetened smoothies with added sugars.

My smoothie at Fresh From Hell was good, but extremely overpriced. However, the staff was nice.

Really good & extremely fresh. I stopped here for a quick breakfast while in Hells Kitchen and this place didn't disappoint. Staff was very friendly too. Inside is small but does have sitting but there is patio furniture outside so you can enjoy the beautiful weather, which is what I did.

WTH drink... definitely refreshing and worth getting.

I was looking for a morning pick me up. Looking boba, or something refreshing, so I discovered this place by accident. It's kinda blended in, as it's mixed in with dwelling units. Everything made fresh. I picked WTH... drink delicious drink mixed with some greens and other fruits that I now forgot what's in it. They are friendly, but slooooooow!!! I dont know what system they are using but it's outdated. If they even have one, as the employees had to keep coming to the POS register, to look at orders. Some people were complaining about long wait time. I waited 20 minutes for my drink. It's a very small place, so consider of taking yours to go. They are kinda like Playa Bowls but not as fancy. Despite my long wait time, Ill definitely return, cuz my shake was expensive but good. Friendly employees in NYC, is a plus for me. There's a lot of places in NYC we're places serve a side of NYC attitude and sass and I don't have time for that. 5 stars... I just hope next time they are faster with orders.

Fresh From Hell is a small smoothie and açaí bowl spot in Hell's Kitchen. The restaurant is easy to find. Very small inside. It gets busy and there can be no room to sit and even wait for your order to be ready. They have a lot of options. The only thing that I was a little disappointed about was the granola which we had to exclude from the smoothie bowl because they were not sure that it was gluten free. The staff were friendly. The service was quick. We tried the Green Machine and What the Hell smoothie, as well as the Hawaiian Lover açaí bowl. They were refreshing, thick, creamy, and full of flavor. The fruit was fresh and the coconut was crunchy. The perfect texture combination. Fresh From Hell was a great option for hot summer New York days.

    Flu shot me.

I'm from SoCal and I was craving for a clean green juice! This place is it. It also has amazing açaí bowls to satisfy your healthy cravings in the morning. Really easy to find and the staff was welcoming and helpful on what you should get. I would highly recommend coming back here.

    Tiffany L.

Came here because I wanted to try a new smoothie/açaí bowl place (I always go to juice generation). The place is small with a few seats. Upon entering, I was greeted with blank stares (no hello). The menu posted on the wall doesn't include all the options. I only saw the açaí bowls when I opened the paper menus on the side. I ordered the probiotic booster bowl, which comes with greek yogurt on the top (something I've never tried and I'm a fan now!). Overall, price and taste are similar to other smoothie places but I don't think I'll be coming back because I like my açaí bowls to have the consistency of a smoothie but this one was more icy.

    Carol L.

This is a great place to get a smoothie or an acai bowl. A lot of healthy options here. The smoothies we had were delicious. This is a very small place. Not much room inside for sitting around. It has a nice big window facing the school across the street. Best part of all right next-door is an amazing espresso. Shop the best of both worlds in one spot. The Employees were very friendly, engaging and informative as we couldn't find the coffee shop but we found them first lol

    Is your açaí sweetened?

Hi Madeline, we never add any processed sugar to our bowls. The organic blend we import from Brazil has a small amount of sugar cane already there. Hope this helps!

Do they use gluten free granola in the acai bowls?

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. Our granola is gluten free, and we make it from scratch at the store with oates and miscellaneous nuts. However, if you are celiac, please note that the oats were not produced in a gluten free facility. Hope this… Read more

How large are the bowls here?

The bowls are 18oz, with 9oz of pure açai plus all the toppings (freshfruit, healthy seeds, home-made granola, etc - as per item description). Sorry for the delay in the response - hope this helps!

What brand of vegan protein powder is used?

Hi there! It’s called ‘vega one’ (organic all-in-one vegab protein), and I think it’s also sold at Gnc. We also have hemp protein, which is vegan as well. Have a great day!

    Is there a bathroom?

    No. Very small place.

    Sprouted bread served here?

Yes! We have a delicious toasted sprouted bagel, served with home-made cashew cream cheese. Since all our sandwiches are always freshly prepared and never wrapped in plastic, you can enjoy any of our sandwiches with the sprouted bagel. Have a great… Read more

I mean that flaky, instantly melting ice carved mechanically using some kind of drill motor with all the torque, off a block the size of a dorm fridge and then topped with syrupy fruits and condensed milk and such. And this wasn't that either, but I now need to find a place for this near me. It was more like regular ice cream at a soft-serve consistency, topped with all the things-- that part was as expected. Hubs & I were thinking of getting two different things but we both wanted the mango madness, and then the checkout person said it was the size of a quart container. So just one then. I wish we got to see it being made up but it was full in there (at 10p, after the theaters let out), and they seated us and gave us a buzzer that went off almost immediately. We almost didn't finish it even between the two of us. Absolutely delicious, just overwhelmingly enormous. It could be a low-grade food challenge to complete it! And with all that fruit, actual mango chunks and a banana, it's practically a healthy snack. Gotta find one of these closer to home!

I was at this quaint tea shop east of Koreatown earlier in the evening before going to a meal at the excellent new Thai place, Wanglang. The staff was very friendly, and they specialize in matcha, along with having hojicha, genmaicha, black tea, and sencha. Along with more traditional drinks, they also have fruit options as well as black sugar jelly (I presume kuromitsu) and a Japanese citrus that's not seen much here, hyuganatsu. Along with the citrus, this place is rather unique as they had three different matcha options in terms of variety. As I tend to prefer teas pure and without add-ons, I ordered the Matcha Americano, which is simply matcha and water. I went with the 12-oz version for $6 + tax and ordered the Hajime, though I would likely get the Fuku No Midori next time based on descriptions online. The matcha was solid and had a mild sweetness and a light earthiness. However, it lacked some of the mouth coating found in very high-quality drinks from Sorate or Setsugekka, while being similar in price. Still, that is comparing to some of the best, and this was still very tasty and a lot better than 90% of the places in the city, being more comparable to Kettl. I wouldn't mind going back and ordering the other matcha varietal to see whether that is a better comparison. Outside of this, I enjoyed my drink, and the staff was friendly. I hope they do well.

The space is extremely compact, functioning more like a takeout counter than a café, with only minimal room inside. The main focus here is matcha, with a distinctive approach that lets you choose between three blends: Hinata, which leans creamy and nutty; Hajime, which is more smoky and earthy; and a more traditional-style matcha profile. Drinks like the mango matcha show how they play with these bases, though fruit purées can sometimes overshadow the matcha depending on the combination. They also offer matcha powder for home use and occasional fresh pastries that add a warm, baked aroma to the space. Service is one of the strongest parts of the experience. The staff is consistently warm, attentive, and willing to explain the differences between blends in detail. The atmosphere is cozy but extremely tight, built for short visits rather than lingering. It is not a workspace or hangout café, but more of a quick stop that stands out because of its hospitality and focus on craft. Even in a busy area, it leaves a memorable impression through its matcha quality and genuinely personable service.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
