Went in to get a juice. I usually love this place but the customer service has taken a turn for the worse. The man behind the counter asked me if I was here for a pick up and when I responded "yes" he snapped back "give us a chance to make it". No reason at all, just snapped The cashier didn't make eye contact and acted like she was annoyed to have customers. Horrible Pastrami Sandwich. I spent $14, including tip on a Patrami sandwich on sourdough. It wasn't the worst sandwich I've ever had, but it was the worst $14 sandwich I have ever had. The pastrami was tastless. Or actually it tasted a little old. It was cut too thick, almost 1/4" thick. I paid for double meat, so there was a total of 4 slices. Trying to bite through the thick meat that is inside a thin layer of old-tasting sourdough caused the sandwich to fall apart and get all over my clothes. Now I have a mustard stain on my work pants. At one point I realized a bite was taken out of the paper that the sandwich was wrapped in. I don't remember tasting paper, but I did eat some. So that means their bread tastes exactly like their wrapping paper. They must be raking in the cash, but they could make a ton more money charging $14 per sandwich if they did away with the bread, and advertised their edible paper! (If they end up taking that idea, it's mine! You read it here first!) This is a good review, does it get posted on Yelp from here? I'll post it on Yelp too. I guess I would go back to this place if I got offered a free sando, but only if it was free. Maybe their Turkey is edible.... I would never try that pastrami again, though, even if it was given to me. I only kept eating it because I skipped breakfast. If you want a good pastrami sando go to Spiteri's deli on East ave., it's not on Grub Hub, but it is SO F'ing good. And it's cheap. Under $8 for a huge loaded pastrami sandwich. The Chico Locker on Park ave has good pastrami too, but they don't load it on as much as Spiteri's. Anyway, DON'T go to Fresh Twisted Café and expect a decent pastrami sandwich. read more

I am lactose intolerant and have tried many dairy alternatives, some good, some bad. The vegan cream cheese is the best I've ever had. This place is really good. Food is all very fresh. Only complaint I have is that the menu is a little overwhelming and confusing just because there's stuff posted in the wall as well as loose papers with options for wraps, salads, burgers etc all separate, which is hard to sift through when there's a line and you feel like you have to be fast. Called in an order for pickup. The gentleman on the phone was super friendly, and said the order would be ready in about five minutes. Sure enough, it was-- right on time! I picked up two Bomb bagels and two coffees and was blown away. The bomb bagel is seriously AMAZING-- turkey, ham, avocado, tomato, spinach, egg, bacon, and cucumber on your choice of bagel (I went with Parmesan) and two cheeses (Swiss and cheddar for me). SO GOOD. Everything tasted super fresh. And the dark roast coffee is also great! 5/5 rating for the food and customer service. I will definitely be coming back. Way over priced. Any of the wraps, burgers, or sandwiches could easily be assembled at home for at least a fourth of the price. I paid $29 for a burger meal, a sandwich and a smoothie. The salad I got with my burger had wilted black lettuce through out it. I ate my burger quickly so I could leave and dismiss my disappointment with the whole experience. I definitely like the idea of Fresh Twisted Cafe and the inside was a lot bigger than what I was expecting as far as seating goes. I had a burger on a brioche bun and I have to say that the bun was super stale. My guess is people don't really get the brioche so it sits around a while? Also I got the cup of soup as a side which was a joke. It was the tiniest cup of soup I've ever had. Really it's just soup put in one of those sauce containers rather than a cup. The burger I wonder if it is frozen meat or preformed frozen meat patties. They had that dry tightly packed texture. I mean if you are a burger place make your own patties out of fresh ground beef. Maybe I'm wrong about the beef but if anything is grilled to heck. I will give them another shot and order a different bun and not the soup and see how it is. read more

This place is everything right in the world. They use local, organic products, make amazingly delicious foods/drinks, and always have the nicest, most friendly staff. I highly recommend visiting if you want a healthy treat or good, positive conversation. There's a comfy couch to chill on, and a nice, new seating area to dine-in with friends. Really fresh, really tasty food. You start your order by grabbing an order sheet (make sure you grad the right one as their is a different sheet) for sandwiches, wraps, quesadillas, or hamburgers. Each order sheet allows to you customize your order exactly how you want your food. I was going to be in town for a couple of days and was trying to find places that make fresh juice since I wasn't planning on bringing my juicer. I found this on Yelp and also in a Chico local paper. I was excited to go. Once I got there, it looks like a fruit stand one side and a café on other. Cool, idea! I love the fact they offer gluten free and vegan options too! It was busy that day as people were ordering fresh juices as well as food. They had samples of some of their drinks, which was cool. I love the fact they are super helpful as well as all their produce is juiced fresh, unlike other around town. I'll be back when I am in town next. I wish they were in downtown though. read more

The Hulk smoothie is now a staple in my diet. It is seriously amazing! You also have the option to add protein for staying power. I rave about Hernandez to all of my co-workers and friends. I have never had a bad experience at Fresh Twisted Cafe. Their food, drinks, and service are always amazing. I love their bagels with cream cheese and bacon, it's my go to after a long run in the park. Today, I witnessed an extremely rude, unfriendly customer order from one of the Fresh Twisted staff members. This rude- holier than thou- woman spoke so lowly to the staff member and accused her of giving her cold soup. The staff member immediately checked the pot to see if the burner was on and then sampled the soup herself - she burnt her tongue! I was so impressed with how she handled the situation, she remained calm and friendly and dealt with the customer perfectly. I would have been much more "vocal" had it been me, but that's why I don't work in the food industry :) Thank you Fresh Twisted Cafe for always going above and beyond. And to the girl who was working today and had to deal with that situation - you are awesome! I appreciate you and your great customer service skills! read more

Establishment looks filthy as you enter and it doesn't get better. Hamburger dry, processed chicken in salad. Wasn't worth the $20 spent.
