Interesting that they use mozzarella but not complaining. Everything was well seasoned. Proportions of the burrito stuffings were good. Just not... anything amazing. The acai bowl was kind of a miss. I've ordered delivery from freshco kitchen and juicery a few times now, and the food has been consistently fresh and delicious. The only reason I am taking off a star is the high prices. Be prepared to spend close to $15 per person or more, but I will say, the food is worth it. This place lives up to its name with the freshness of the food as well as the hype of the yelp reviews. My favorite things to order here are their chilaquiles, burritos, and hot Cheeto elote. The chilaquiles always arrive super fresh tasting and still warm, so you know they do a good job of packaging everything up. The hot cheeto elote is one that is layered with the base of corn, huge dollops of mayo, cheese, and a big layer of hot Cheetos. The container is usually so full that it's hard to mix together, but once you do, the flavors are so comforting, salty, and delicious. While their burritos are not terribly large, they make up for the lack of portion with the delicious taste. I definitely recommend them as well and they have a huge variety. Overall, I'll definitely order from here again, and I'll try to dine in person one of these days too. If they can do delivery this good, I can only imagine how great trying the food would be in person. read more

In an ugly run down shopping center, this relatively new spot delivers on excellent fresh quality food. I've ordered from FreshCo through UberEats numerous times and it is always very flavorful, good sized portions, and fulfills that craving every time. Excellent red and green salsa as well which is hard to find...not salsa, but GOOD salsa. The Birria Ramen is huge and deep in flavor. Just ordered a Westminster Omelette this morning and it's HUGE but more importantly crazy delicious. I'll happily order it again and again. I should've trusted the reviews that warn that the customer service is what is driving this business into the ground. I called ahead of time to ask what came inside of the burrito, and asked if I could then place my order over the phone or if it had to be done online. She told me to place it online. No problem. Their website directs you to place the order through ChowNow with a 30 minute wait time. Again, no problem. We show up to pick up our order, and the cashier, Samantha, nonchalantly informs me that she is going to refund me for half of my order because they no longer serve sandwiches (even though they're still available for order online and she didn't bother to mention this when instructing me to place my order online). I asked why I didn't receive a phone call to let me know so that we didn't waste our time waiting for this food and driving all the way over. She shrugged and said that she tried but it didn't go through (mind you the store is empty). I looked at the receipt and told her that my number was correct and I flat out told her that she didn't call me because I didn't have any missed calls. She didn't even try to deny that she didn't call me at this point because it was very obviously a lie. If they had simply called we could have swapped the sandwich for another item but they didn't have the courtesy to let me know until I arrived. Samantha then had the audacity to say "if you want to waste this food too i can cancel the whole order." ??? I don't even have the words to explain her logic. My boyfriend, Derek, and I get Freshco about once a week. Usually we pickup for Sunday "brunch" because he needs a breakfast fix and I already have lunch on my brain lol Parking: Very ample in a plaza with other small businesses that all don't need long term parking so it is always easy and a breeze Ambiance: This isn't the type of establishment that you sit in and basque. But it's clean, with cute decor, and eye-catchingly bright. Staff: They don't have a large staff so we start recognizing the cashiers but they're always very friendly and helpful Food: It's so good! Are they this super Mexican place? No but it's definitely inspired and hits all the notes. Our favorite is the Baja Beer Battered Fish Tacos. First off, that thing is a monster. Huge! Most of the time consistently giant but there's been one of two occasions where they were smaller than usual but definitely not small The slaw they put on it is colorful and with the sauce really adds good balance and takes away any icky fried feeling (if that's your concern). Again, not this super authentic Mexican place but we also love their mini carne asada tacos. They're just well seasoned and I've never been to an establishment so generous about guac/avocado on their items. My boyfriend usually gets the Freshco Breakfast Burrito. Again very big lol. We also like going to Ham N Scram down the street, but Freshco's is bigger (but appreciate the density of Ham N Scram ). We also pickup little smoothies here and there, so def check out when you have the craving! So glad we finally took a chance at this hole in the wall. We would always pass by and say "We hope they make it. They look really cute." (Because we do think they look trendier than their location and neighboring businesses) Finally took a jab at it when COVID hit and our only regret is we didn't start coming sooner (Literally leaving to go pick up our online order now ) Overall Freshco delivers an array of Mexican inspired dishes with health in mind. I got the turkey and jalapeno breakfast sandwich. My husband got the bonito breakfast sandwich. My sandwich was AH-MAZ-ING! The flavor was so good, the feta made the flavors pop! It wasn't too spicy, but I added the salsas which came with the meal, which helped add some spice. My husband's was really good, but he said the mango salsa didn't work for him. The sausage and red potatoes in the burrito were so good. There was cheese melted onto the tortilla for the burrito. Stumbled into this place while waiting for our fish and chips order next door (Alaskan Fish & Chips) and it seemed.... interesting so we had to try it. Should've known better and skipped it; spent $42 and didn't love anything we ordered. Order: * Chamango - 3/5 * Fountain of Youth (no celery) juice - 3/5 * California burrito with carnitas - 4/5 * 2x carne asada mini tacos - 3/5 * 2x birria tacos - 2/5 Upon walking in for our first time this seems to be a very confused fusion restaurant. Mexican + juice/açaí bowls + breakfast + American sandwiches + Asian (the offered a birria ramen which looked interesting). There's a lot going on. I'm sure enough people have tried this to know what's good but I wasn't impressed by anything we ordered and wouldn't come back or recommend anything we got. Chamango was just okay and didn't have any fresh mango which was disappointing (3/5). The juice was really watery and I felt it was missing the first two ingredients (spinach & kale) (3/5). The California burrito was the best thing we ordered and the carnitas were good and crispy, but not dry. I do find it's kind of hard to mess up a California burrito but still rate it 4/5 overall and in comparison to the quality of other items though I wouldn't recommend or come back here just for this burrito. Carne asada tacos were just nothing special and being in SoCal our taco standards are very high and these were overpriced for the same taco you can get at a sidewalk set up in LA for a dollar cheaper. The meat also smelled/tasted very smoky though there is no charcoal/wood grill in the kitchen of this place so the "fake smoke" tastes a bit acrid in my opinion. Giving the tacos a generous 3/5 because the tortillas are fresh/homemade and the red salsa is flavorful. But I wouldn't get again. Last were the birria tacos which were the biggest disappointment here. Again, maybe I am spoiled by east LA authentic birria with a deep, rich consome, but these were straight up shredded beef in a crispy (greasy) taco shell with shredded lettuce. The beef has no flavor and shouldn't be labeled as "birria." The consome on the side is also very watery and lacking any flavor or richness. It is a shredded beef taco mislabeled as a crispy birria taco (2/5). Closing thoughts: I'm thinking the locals/regulars hace their go-to items here but with a menu this large they Defintely focus on quantity (of options) rather than quality. If you're craving Mexican, hit up a taco spot or Mexican restaurant. If you want fresh juice or an açaí bowl, find an actual juice bar. Etc, etc. Maybe this place is convenient for some, but it's not worth going out of your way for or stopping in for others. read more
